A co worker and I have decided to start intermittent fasting today, so we will see how that goes
@thutchinson2210 I'm doing that as well! You'll feel amazing! If you struggle, have a pinch or two of Celtic or Himalayan salt under your tongue. Any weakness/dizziness or nausea are usually due to electrolyte being low. Do not drink anything with sweeteners before or during your fast as it'll make it harder to stick to it.1 -
Back from Vegas, but gone again this weekend for a camping trip. Only one night, but I'm sure it can still do damage on my recovery route. Guess I will have to hope to be back to my pre-Vegas weight next week instead.0

I am very proud that I managed this loss! It's been a little bit of a challenge not to hit the sugar hard this week, but it's mostly been a mental craving as opposed to physical, and one that doesn't hold too much appeal, if I actually THINK about it. I met with the team of oncologists/surgeons/radiologists yesterday. (It was impressive how many docs, residents, fellows, med students, nurses they can cram into a little room!) The cancer seems to be small and stage 1 with no lymph involvement, but because cancer is present at one biopsy site, and pre-cancer at the other two, the solution is mastectomy (or double mastectomy). I still need to meet with genetics doctors and plastic surgeon(s) (I guess there WAS a limit to how many people fit in the room!) before the surgery is scheduled. I am trying to deal with the inability to plan anything until the dates are set and meanwhile trying to distract myself with long walks and lots of zumba. Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers!

Hey, I'm back. Was out for a work conference with too much food. Evidently my work IT is not the culprit, it was MFP itself that kept me off. Seems to work now.
Today I am turning 60 years old. It seems hard to believe, it sounds so old. To celebrate I will go to the gym and workout like I'm in my late 40's.
@kmfeig87 keep up that terrific attitude and you will skate through this. You will have some tough days ahead, I hope you will keep us in the loop so we can cheer you on. What's neat about MFP is that you have virtual friends from around the world right here in Trimstones land (yabba, dabba, doo!) pulling for you. Did I mention that you are the lightest person on the team as well so we need your example for the rest of us "losers"!

Holy hannah it's been a long week. I got called in on my last weekend, which was after a couple nights with no sleep, then I had Thursday and Friday off, Thrursday my friend asked me to got camping. She asked at 10:15am, and we got packed with 3 adults, 6 kids, and 2 dogs and drove and hour and a half away to dead mans Basin arriving at 430pm. Stayed a night, then packed up and came home got home at 330pm, went to the rodeo, home at 10:30pm, and I had to be to work at 3am this morning. I work until 3pm, then I have to take my kids to the fair, ugh, why do I do this to myself 😂3

This gain is deserved as I went a bit nuts this week with nuts.... seriously why are cashews so good??? But the gain isn’t huge and I know why it happened so I’m not sweating it just continuing to look forward and dig deep for the determination I need to see the scale move downwards consistently.
Happy Birthday @mulecanter 🥳❤️5
