Let‘s start the month off with a 29 mile ride.
Adding 29 for 29 out of 300 miles.0 -
Here‘s my ride from yesterday. The Hiawatha trail on the border of Idaho and Montana near Wallace Idaho. Thanks to Rails to Trails for this one. This used to be the Hiawatha rail line that was abandoned when the new tunnel was built. There are 10 tunnels and 7 trestles on the 15 mile route. One of the tunnels is 1.5 miles long. Bring a light. If you don‘t want to bike back up (we always bike back up) there is a bus that will shuttle you back up. The trail is all weather or gravel so mountain bikes or Fat Tires work best. I see cyclocross and touring bikes which only confirms some people are either better bike handlers than me or they are crazier than me. 🤪4 -
@VHuber - Glad to hear the vacuum is coming off and the stitches are coming out. That means things must be healing. :-)0

YAY the vacuum pump came off this morning!! I let it air out for abit then I gauzed it up. Their are quite a few stitches on there & they are getting itchy. Tomorrows the day they come out. I'm thinking they may need to put one of those butterfly strips on it for awhile where they left an opening for drainage. but we'll see..
I did walk a mile with Georgie this morning while waiting for mail. I then got laundry done & the house cleaned. Rode the ex bike for 6 miles after dinner. I won't have miles tomorrow cuz we travel to the city to the doctor. 8 hour round trip. Our oldest son is riding with me cuz hubby is harvesting wheat.

Dean, I use my touring bike on gravel as long as it is not the big rock. I make sure I use my Gatorskin tires when doing so. Yep, I am crazy. I have four bikes in my garage along with my MIL’s Cannondale. I wish she had given me her mountain bike instead of her racing bike, she wants me to follow in her bike steps for the Senior Olympics. My hubby says I have to clean out my garage before I can get another bike so I have to wait for my mountain bike or fat tire bike. I am working on my garage too. Too much gardening stuff and my school stuff to go through.

LOVE the pictures!!!!
I got in a 2.5 mile ((jog)) after my trip to the city. 8 hrs round trip & 4 hrs doctoring, picking up parts & having lunch. Left at 7:20 & got home at 7:20. Doc said one more week with the stitches & do anything but kneel on it so as soon as I got home Georgie & I went out for a run before it got to dark. It felt GREAT!!
