Flight delays, missed connections and rerouting, but I made it to Berlin. I still get nervous the day before a race. Expecting rain, but I figure that's better than running in the heat.
Congrats to clepant and 2essie as they pass the goal line.
@clepant - glad your dad is coming home for his next chapter.0 -

Sept.19-25: Only Adding 43 miles ..yuck!
Walking miles only. I do laps around this facility when my dad crashes. We are waiting to hear the investigation results.
I am living at the nursing facility. I did a 40 hour stay because my brother got sick and could not relieve me. God bless my hubby, who took over for about 8 hours. My dad has been making slow progress and we are preparing our home for him so we bring him home soon. Meanwhile my sweet lame pup has another UTI. Fortunately , I have antibiotics from Finn that they used before for Merit. She would not eat for my hubby and was not pumping water. I think she was stressing over me not being there. After 40 hours, I came home and slept for three. She kept looking up ever couple minutes to make sure it was me. I got her eating and drinking lots of water again. Hard when you have a Velcro dog.
Thank you all for your kind words. I took photos tonight of my dad’s wound. It looks pretty amazing after 8 days. I was told it was one bad skin tear by quite a few nurses.
No miles to report but wanted to encourage @clepant to follow up on the report you filed and not just with the police. There are federal agencies to regulate nursing homes and they need to know about this. It happened more than once to him, it wasn't just an accident. So you can bet it's happening to others there as well, possibly some with no family members to speak for them (I used to work in a nursing home and saw that some of the residents had no one to visit them). I know you want to spend time with your Dad right now of course, but hope you will continue to pursue this matter for him and other residents in that facility.

I’ve not ran as much as I’d have like - like @vhuber, flying things find me tasty enough for me to have had three lots of antibiotics as the bites got infected. Even tested for Lymes Disease at one point and it’s not that common in the UK.0 -

2.2 miles walking & 28 miles of ex biking to make goal! This month was hard with trying to get my knee healthy & then I came down with a nasty head cold. After being sick with MRSA I'm sure my immunity was quite low & I picked up a cold. I'm now on the mend though & ready for October. I'll go for 100 again. Life gets busier & I barely squeak in these 100 mile goals.
