Well Halloween kicked my butt. Time to stop eating treats and get serious again.4 -
My goal is to get into the 190's. I flirt with it during the week and then get totally messed up on the weekends. I want to lose 10 pounds this month. I am hoping to lose more than 10 and put a few back over Thanksgiving. My son and I high-fived this morning on working out seriously so hopefully we can motivate each other.4

Do you think if I made a suggestion to Planet Fitness about having a basket of hair ties I would get compensated?
The Dollar General store is right next door so they could stock up!!
*I forgot my hair tie today and had to make one from an old necklace* 🤣2 -

@looneycatblue, I hit wrong things all the time. I'm sure it was a mistake. Nice loss! Way to go on exercise today and yesterday!!
@crystalbarton31, we can do it but it really does take planning and laying a plan into place. I sure have learned that lesson!

I need some advice/tips/tricks. I went from very faithfully counting calories and doing intermittent fasting to slowly but surely relaxing my eating habits, to letting all hell break loose over Halloween and now today I don't even have the willpower to restrict my intake because I've gotten out of the habit. How do I get back at it? How do I say no to the junk? I really, really, really need to lose some more weight. Lots of it. Where do I start? What do I do?! *please no advice on increasing exercise. I'm going to work on that too but right now I'm strictly looking for some advice and tips on getting back into controlling what goes into my body! Thank you in advance ❤️1

My advice and you truly can take it or leave it, is to first be kind to yourself. You messed up. You know you messed up. But you are investing in yourself by reaching out for help.
1. Start right now. Not tomorrow morning. Throw out or give away everything that will not help you meet your goals. If it's out of the house you will immediately feel better about yourself.
2. Measure every single bite you take. Follow MFP's calorie guideline and do not go over it. If you're getting close go for a walk or ride a bike to exercise to give yourself some leeway.
3. Instead of saying, "I can't have this" try saying "I will choose this" and then choose healthily. Eat food God has made, not processed crap. Add veggies and fruit to your diet and weigh every one you eat. Add berries. Add beans and legumes.
4. Clean out some closets or drawers. This helps to free the clutter of your life as you concentrate on decluttering your body.
5. Put dinner on a smaller plate so it looks like you have more food. Do not eyeball your food. Weigh and measure everything.
6. If you're not already, drink a lot of water. When you feel hungry, drink water. You may not be hungry at all after you get 8 ounces of water in.
I really hope you put on foot in front of the other and all of a sudden you will see that you are motivated again. You can do this. I believe in you!!6 -
Oh, and go to the progress pages of MFP. See what others have done. It's really motivating.2
