Happy Monday, another week, another weigh-in:
PW: 227.5
CW: 226
Very happy with the 1 1/2 pound loss this week. I first hit 227.5 way back at the end of September, then gained 7 pounds with the death of a friend (it was an excuse to overeat and didn't help my sadness one bit, actually made me feel worse about myself).
It was an interesting week. Lunch out on Monday and Tuesday, dinner out on Wednesday, and ice cream at the folks on Thursday. In the past I would have considered this a reason to fail and just cave in and overeat. But I only ate 1/2 my lunches and saved the rest for dinner, and skipped lunch on Thursday for the ice cream. I am slowly learning to fit food into my day, especially with pre-planning.8 -

@iamworthy14 So very sorry about losing your beloved pet. It is so difficult as they are such a part of our lives. I still miss mine.1

Y’all, I’ve got to get back on track. I had a run-in with some chips and salsa at a Mexican restaurant yesterday and I’m feeling the sodium today. I’ve been slacking off since vacation. My goal for this week: “You bite it, you write it.”6

For those that don't see it... We are getting snow tonight.

For those that don't see it... We are getting snow tonight.
I can't take a photo of it, but today it was 38 degrees centigrade (100 fahrenheit) where I live in Australia, this is spring, and the seedlings I planted out a week ago are all wilting from the heat stress
Things are worse for those living near bushfires - 500 schools across the country are closed today due to fire risk, state and national parks have closed to the public for safety, and we have a state-wide fire ban in NSW (probably in other states too). Doesn't help that our Prime Minister refuses to acknowledge that climate change, land clearing, and mismanagement of our water have created the worst possible conditions for fire (& it's very hard for our firefighters to put fires out when some of these towns have run out of water) - and he's more interested in trying to stop citizens (whistleblowers, journalists, scientists, activists, and any concerned person) from speaking up about these issues than in actually addressing the real problems. Sigh.
Luckily it is not this hot every day!5 -
