WEIGHT NO MORE - NOVEMBER CHAT

@kirsten11872 You have had a great week! You should be proud no matter what the scale says tomorrow. I would be surprised if it wasn't a good weigh in.
@ljdanny Maintaining is not bad, better than gaining. Hope everything is ok with your son.
@tryingagain5 Still trying even though you didn't meet your goal. That is good. It's probably better then it would be if you weren't focusing on it. I am doing good with veggies, mostly because I have been having a big salad at night. I am not good at all with fruit. The more I hear you with the chiropractor, the more I am thinking I may need to see one. I hope the night passes quickly for you.

It’s 10:45 pm. I just finished yoga. After work did 45 minute run at the gym, took mom to Belks for some shirts, wrote out a grocery list and went shopping. Phew. I had a big pity party at the grocery store. I was tired cold and very hungry. And mad at how unfair it was that I was skipping dinner. Not at all happy. It passed. It was a 33 minute hard yoga. I will be glad I stuck to plan. Bought a lot of veggies to supplement wine cake and pasta. Cakes will have to be baked tomorrow morning. I’m pooped.4

Good day I will check in tomorrow. I did end up going to Bunco. We don't play bunco anymore, we just call it bunco. Whoever's house it is at plans what we are doing. We go out sometimes too. I am glad I went. I walked over, had my tea with me and didn't eat or drink anything. I came in right when my friend was cutting my favorite cake. She was joking about my timing with the cake. I still didn't have it or any of the other delicious things there. Everyone tries to out do each other so we always have such good food there. Everyone but me, you all know how I am with the cooking . I am so proud of myself, I made a plan and stuck to it. I really needed to show my face. I was commenting how I was out of the loop after missing a few buncos and was told "Pam you have missed more than a few buncos" . I am going to 2 things with the next month, a Christmas party and a bus trip go see the Rockettes in New York so I am good for a while now .
@Mrsbell8well Tired, cold and hungry are a bad combo. I am glad you pushed through and stuck to your plan. Yes you will be glad you stuck to it.3 -

Friday Check In
Food - at goal
Water- 70 oz
Exercise - 30 minute walk
Steps- 8854 steps
Enjoyed my day yesterday being the only one in the office. Had some time to reflect and write. My water commitment has been going well. I will reevaluate my new habit next week. It seems easier to drink 50 ounces but not quite a habit. Weekends are my tough times. Wait... Wait... Did you see what I just said to myself? How about, i follow my plan on the weekend. Its what i want. Its easy to be happy when I'm meeting my goals. This weekend i will easily and joyfully live healthy!! Today is laundry day. I have to go to my folks and do moms pills. Tonight jim, myself, and a group of friends are going to a comedy show. Tomorrow is food prep and i am picking up my grandson for a visit. I'm off today i will live as if!! Its just one weekend. I can do this for just one weekend. I can and will follow the plan. And one day soon, this to will be habit!5 -

Another good day yesterday. I wrote about it in the comments as the day went on Lol! I ended up just having a protein coffee drink and a nature valley biscuit for dinner. The protein drink is actually something William is selling. He finally got a job besides Uber eats and it is for Super Coffee. It isn't a protein drink, it is a coffee drink with protein. It was ok. I didn't love it but have been wanting to try it and haven't been able to fit it in my plan. They have a creamer too I may try. I actually wasn't really hungry when I ate. I wanted to start the clock for IF but didn't want to be hungry later on so I did eat. Next time I am going to wait and see what happens. I didn't want hunger to hit me when I was at bunco so I did eat last night. Overall, I am happy how my day turned out even though it didn't go as I had planned. I adapted it and the scale was down a little more this am. Today, back to cleaning. Hope the cleaners can come but if not, I am really good. It just would be nice to have it behind me. I am also going down to exercise. It seems to work better if I get it in before I get started on my day. Ultimately that is a habit I would like to work on, getting up early and going right down to work out. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!!
@cyndiesstuff Yes, you absolutely can do it for one weekend! Sounds like you have a productive and fun one planned . I am glad you are seeing your grandson again too. Enjoy!
@Zumba_Luvah How is it going? Hope all is going well
@timibotkin Let us know if we should put you in for an excused weigh in this week. They close down the week at 11:59 EST .

We can do this ladies! As Cyndie said in her post above-"it is just one weekend" . Let's make it a good one! xo

Daily check in: Friday
Food: Bad, bad, bad
Water: Good
Exercise: Rest day; 6,565 steps
Did well all day sticking to my plan and then night came. Pizza was planned for dinner. Made a big salad the size of my plate to eat first. Then ate my planned 2 pieces. Then ate 2 more pieces! I felt like a bottomless pit and could have eaten the entire pizza! When I feel like this I need to focus on large volume, small calorie food instead of small volume, large calorie stuff. I just can't trust myself around pizza... ugh.
If only I could channel @mrsbell8well's self-discipline. Great job staying the course last night despite being cold and hungry. I was a hedonistic brat.
Ooh but I did get a DIY elderberry syrup kit from Etsy and brewed that yesterday. It smells and tastes great so I'm excited about that little bit of self care. I'm ready for you cold season
Just saw @sleepymom5's post on not erasing all our good work. I'm working on erasing all my bad behavior. Food is pre-logged and I'm headed out to take the dogs for a hike. Here I am starting over again... one day at a time.
Have a great weekend everyone!!5 -
Thanks for the well wishes for my son. He has had quite the year. Yesterday he went to see his primary care Dr. They gave him some muscle relaxers. He said his blood pressure is so high because his body is in so much pain. They need to get his pain managed then it should drop. My son tried a massage a few weeks ago and liked it, and that's what the Dr is recommending. He wants a plan in place with the massage therapist, he said eventually it will help. It might take up to a year but he has to have patience, something my son does not have, lol. So he's going tomorrow for a massage. Today he's dog sitting for my other son so he will be resting all day.
I'm getting my hair done and then running some errands. I was a little disappointed the scale didn't budge bit maybe had I exercised it would have made a difference.5 -
I have been up cooking and baking since 5am. No star yet but close. I need to stay focused and accountable today. Had a good breakfast but behind on water. Guest about 16 coming in 30 minutes. Jumping in the bath. I never nibble but I ate 6 bow tie pasta and a handful of kettlecorn before running up the stairs. Oh oh. No no. Won’t be naughty. Will be good and I will have a blast. I made zoodles, huge salad, broccolini w garlic and pine nuts and steamed broccoli to supplement the bow tie pasta in creamy sundried tomato sauce. I’m really nervous. Lots of my favorite food today. But I need to stay on course since t-day is coming too. That kettle corn is 2 weeks old and was still insanely delicious. I put it out so everyone will eat it.
Hang in there everyone!!!4 -

Ok, I did write out my protocol and made a loose daily plan for the week. Writing it out like that totally helped . I feel so much better and I feel like I can do this and enjoy this time. I need to remember that I am just taking one day at a time and not worrying about what I am going to do the next day. I can do this.
@nstephenson01 Yes, one day at a time. You can turn this around. I like that you already have a plan! You got this! (you made me lol that you were eating like a " hedonistic brat")
@ljdanny I hope the massage helps . I am wondering if the cold weather will be worse for him too. Hugs to all of you. It has been such a long road. I am glad he can take it easy this weekend at least. Any cute colors this time? You always seem to do something fun when you get your hair done.
@Mrsbell8well Everything looks delicious! You got this! You will be busy and you have plenty of healthy options. You will be great. The nibbles I bet were more from nerves than hunger. You are going to be successful today!2 -
All ready to get cleaning and than this shows up...I was told it will be gone by Monday. There is a ton of liquor and wine in the office too 🤦🏽♀️2

Happy Saturday everyone. Well I had a total nut binge yesterday. After eating my three meals I was craving nuts and gave in😤. So got a can of unsalted mixed nuts from Rite Aid and ate them all. So it’s like 170 calories a serving and the can has 9 servings!! That’s on top of my normal meals for the day so I had like twice the number of calories I should have eaten in one day. Omg I’m so frustrated with myself!!!6

Hello & Happy Saturday! Hope you are all doing well! It is a chilly day, but at least it's dry outside! I am feeling good, having a very enjoyable day!
I got up early, the puppy was barking, wanted out of the crate, lol. After playing with him for a bit, I decided I should get my workout done for the day before my WW meeting. I guess because I did a hard elliptical workout last night, my body was fighting me, my legs felt like lead. I did 27 out of 47 minutes and stopped. I was going to push myself, but it was too hard. I still worked up a good sweat. I took a shower, went to my WW meeting. I was very happy with my weigh-in! Getting back on track this week, back to tracking all my food, working out every day and back to 16:8 IF, I dropped 4.2 pound and I am almost out of the 170's! Definitely next week!
This weekend should be good since I have no plans, I am enjoying it! I went food shopping after my WW meeting, decided to make slow cooker turkey chili for dinner, so good and everyone loves it! The house smells great! I am now catching up with everyone's posts, sitting on my recliner, drinking a cup of tea and watching Hallmark Christmas movies. Tomorrow I will go to the gym, do some cleaning & laundry and I am making arroz con pollo & black beans for dinner, another family favorite my mother in law taught me, my in laws are from Costa Rica and she has taught me quite a few of their native dishes. My Italian mom knows pasta, meatballs and chicken parm very well, but it has been nice to learn so many other foods I have never tried until meeting my hubby 26 years ago!
@tryingagain5 feel better & take it easy!
@Mrsbell8well great workouts last night & good job sticking to plan, it's not always easy! Nibbling is so dangerous, it is so easy to grab a taste of this or that and then you can't stop! Nice catching yourself, good self-control! I love kettle-corn, it's addictive, so yummy! Your food always looks so good, that raspberry cake looks amazing!
@sleepymom5 good for you, it's so hard to resist tempting foods, especially in social settings!
Love the quote about the weekend setting us back, that is so me, but not this weekend, I am sticking to plan! Writing down your plan really helps! You got this! Wow, that's a lot of alcohol!!!
@cyndiesstuff weekends are hard, we got this! Change your thinking & you will change your actions, great job!
@nstephenson01 some days are just harder than others, I get like that too, I just can't stop eating! As long as you do not give up, keep starting over as many times as it takes!
@ljdanny pain definitely causes your BP to go up. Massage is great, hopefully it helps!
As long as you stay on track, the scale will adjust!
Hope you are having a great weekend! Enjoy your day!

Saturday 11/16 check in
Food: logged and on track so far. I haven't had supper yet but still have 1000 calories left to use
Water: 48 oz
Exercise: 30 minutes at the gym
The boss got pizza for us at work last night, kind of a thank you for volunteering to work overtime. I had 2 slices but in the past I probably would have gone back for a third.
I ended up going to the gym right after work, even though I was really tired from being up all night. I'm glad I went then since I probably wouldn't have otherwise.
I slept for a while after the gym and then went to get groceries. The store was packed! Guess I picked the wrong time to go. I was not very productive today, I'm sure from working last night. I did manage the grocery run and reading my book for book club. I'm now on page 185, still a long way to get to page 500 before Tuesday.
I'm not going to get my treat meal since I didn't earn it and I'm too tired to care about going back out. Not sure yet what I'm going to eat but with 1000 calories left, I'm sure I can find something and still stay on track.
I've kind of skimmed through the posts but haven't read them all yet. Will do that later.

@hope002 How's everything going? We are here if you need anything!
@Mrsbell8well Sounds like you did well . How did the rest of the day go?
@lennoncpa You need to make a plan for the nut cravings. Maybe get one individual pack and sit and enjoy them? I know they sell them at the check out in a lot of stores. Those cans are so tough to figure out a serving. I could easily eat a whole can. Don't beat yourself up. Try to think what you can do next time. Hugs!
@kirsten11872 Awesome!! I am not surprised, you worked so hard for this! Sounds like you have a nice weekend planned. Enjoy!
@tryingagain5 Isn't it nice to see that you actually have made a few changes like not going back for 3rds with the pizza. That is awesome. I hope you don't have to work tonight and can get some sleep. You will be happy you did overtime when that paycheck comes in at least.
@timibotkin I am just going to put you in for an excused weigh in this week because of the scale.2 -
@sleepymom5 your doing such a great job! There will be other cakes. Your really staying on track with your plan. Love your protocol!
@kirsten11872 wow girl! You really know how to do a slam dunk.
I think about what Pam wrote recently about success being such a great motivator. It really does help. I ate my cake finished my 1/2 glass of wine and the last bit of the kettlecorn. I was just thinking about leftover posole for dinner when I received a text reminding me to stay on track with my goal. So instead I brushed and flossed and did yoga. Kitchen closed. I really appreciate all the support. I would love to go have seconds. Kids are coming back tomorrow for dinner. We will finish leftovers tomorrow night. I’m going downstairs and finishing the rest of my water.
@cyndiesstuff love how u changed your dialogue. We have to all stay in this together.
We got it!!!

I am so sorry that I have been absent today. The boys have had so much hockey. My older boy’s team is doing great and he got 2 shut outs. The advance to the semi-finals tomorrow. I am still doing my prep tomorrow, although started some stuff this evening. I ate one of those big, bread pretzels at the arena last night. What a mistake! It was like a brick in my stomach and the salt was overwhelming. It was a great reminder to stick to plan and avoid junk food, particularly with the holidays coming.
I have caught up on almost all of the posts but don’t have time to comment on them all. Hope that everybody is doing well!4 -
@sleepymom5 I did magenta but it's very bright, she tried a different brand this time.
I like the magenta better than the purple.
So my poor son can't catch a break, he was dog sitting for my other son. They have a 4 year old dog but just got a 5 month old puppy. They were worried about leaving them alone for the first time. Well the older one attacked the younger one and bit my son in the process. He had to call them home. There was blood everywhere. My son finally realized it was his blood and had to go to urgent care. they thought he needed stitches but they they just bandaged everything up. And gave him more meds. They said they didn't really know what to do cuz he's already on so many meds. This kid does not have a horse show up his *kitten* that's for sure. I'm hoping 2020 will be his year. Let's just say he does keep me on my toes.3 -
Here is what I hope is a bit of inspiration! This is Andrea Harrison. She is 85 and still competes in races! She started running at 50, and calls herself a “late bloomer!” Lately, when I have been tired and not feeling like moving, I have been thinking about her and then think, I don’t have any excuses to be inactive!

Water - at least 88 oz
Another good day. Steps were low because I was cleaning. I am checking in early because I have a lot to do tomorrow. I will check in quick in the morning.
@Cafelelia We totally understand how busy you are! No worries if you can't check in. I love the post about the 85 year old runner . How inspiring!
@ljdanny Omg! I can not believe that happened to your son! I feel terrible for him. 2020 has to be his year.
