Tuesday check in
Food - logged and a bit over
Exercise - 7k steps
Water 1.5 l
Good day yesterday, but we got home from practice at 9 pm and I had to eat. I just don’t like eating that late any more. I am taking an IF break this week because the schedule is so wonky. The later eating is having an impact on my sleep and how I feel overall. It is a good lesson on what works for me and I look forward to getting back to a more normal schedule on Sunday after the tournament.
@Mrsbell8well - Hope that you have a nice time cooking today. So nice that you took your parents out last night and sounds like you all had a blast!
@tryingagain5 - Amazing loss, congratulations! I am not at all surprised as you have had several good days, making plans and getting your exercise in. Congratulations on your new weight decade!! Those chocolates can really sneak in extra calories and there will be so many around in the coming month.
@navydaddjtc - Happy Thanksgiving!! The first holidays after the loss of a loved one are tough, I know. Hope that you have a peaceful day tomorrow. Thank you for everything that you do for the Challenge!
@sleepymom5 - So glad to have you back and you are probably straight into Thanksgiving preparations. So happy that the wedding went well! Sorry that your knee and hip are bugging you, but at least you had fun dancing! Hope that you get a nice rest soon!
@lennoncpa - So sorry that you are eating when not hungry. Good idea to try to analyze what is going on beneath that. Very interesting that the oatmeal and hunger issue were linked. Maybe the oatmeal was just not sustaining your level of activity.
@nstephenson01 - Good to hear from you. When you lose somebody, I think it is totally ok to do what you feel is best. Understandable that your eating is erratic and your sleep is not optimal. At least you are exercising! Let us know what you decide to make for Thanksgiving! I am always looking for Turkey alternatives.
@ljdanny - You have a busy weekend coming up and hope that you enjoy your 5 day weekend! Happy Thanksgiving and enjoy the baby shower!
@twyla77 - Great to hear from you and sounds like you had a great time in Mexico! Congratulations on not gaining while on vacation!
@phoebe112476 - Great loss! Congratulations!
@jedaschultz - Sorry that you had that gain, but you are completely right that next week is A good time to reset. I love your attitude and yes, this is a life long journey!

This gratitude scavenger list for kids is nice and adults could use it too!

It’s not even 10:30 yet. Sweet potatoes are cooked ready to be candied with crushed pineapple and fresh orange juice and topped w vegan marshmallows of course, rutabagas cooked ready for mashing, pecan pie and kobocha squash baking in oven, cranberry relish and cranberry sauce done...doing good. I decided to practice intuitive eating today. Started with oatmeal cooked with organic apples and raisins topped with pecans. Ate about 1/3 then realized I’d rather have savory. Packed it away. Waited an hour and ate some of the cooked rutabagas. That was tasty. Waiting a few minutes then I think I’m going to have a bit more. My tummy is still rumbling. Let’s see how this works for today.
Next up pumpkin pie, stuffing, Brussel sprouts, and asparagus. Then I will set the tables and maybe make yeast rolls and prep potatoes to be mashed. Having fun!3 -
Tuesday 11/26 check in
Food: logged and a little over
Water: 64 oz
Exercise: 30 minutes bike, PT, strength and stretching
Yesterday was the first day I feel like I was in a routine. I had a pretty normal day. Today I have a lot to do but it will be pretty normal as far as eating and exercising. Tomorrow will be busy, hopefully I will check in tonight and then tomorrow who knows. My weight is up a little but I am not worried about it. I have been doing well. I am going to go exercise and get started with the Thanksgiving prep. @mrsbell8well is already kicking butt today! I am slow moving today but finally had a good nights sleep. First time in about a week! Hope everyone has a great day!
b]WTG Team Weight No More on the challenge last week![/b] Just catching up
@cyndiesstuff I am glad your son is doing better. I know it is a little scary once he was discharged but I am keeping you all in my prayers. You have been handling it all so well. I am also glad when things aren't going well that you are being kind to yourself. I know that you realize how important self talk is.
@Cafelelia That gait analysis is so interesting. It is amazing what they can do now a days! I am glad it went well. I can't thank you enough for everything you have done! I really love all the Thanksgiving posts!
@tryingagain5 You really seem to be doing well even with your schedule and all that you do. The important thing is you made it part of your lifestyle. Your Thanksgiving sounds like it is going to be nice. It will be awesome to be with most of your family. Especially the new little one.
@amytriesww I am glad you still keep up with the posts even though you don't post yourself. I find it motivating to read through. You are doing well even with how busy you are. This team isn't supposed to be stressful so just post when you can. That vasovagel thing is scary. I had that happen once when I was sick.
@pacsnc6 You are so consistent with your exercise. It is very motivating! I am trying to find a pool around by me so I can swim or do water aerobics.
@hope002 I wish there was a way to convert yoga to steps Lol! It doesn't seem right after 75 min of yoga!
@Zumba_Luvah Nice loss! Sometimes you have to switch things up a little!
@kirsten11872 I love to have you posting so much. There is so much that a gain could be due to but I swear that gain had to be the hibatchi. There is a ton of sodium in that. I am sure that you may even have it off by now . I am glad you aren't going to let that derail you. Just keep going, you have been doing amazing!
@nstephenson01 I am sorry to hear about your friend. It is hard to be so far apart. I know it must have been hard to make the decision not to go to her funeral. I think it was nice that you were able to see her in May and spend some quality time with her. In my opinion that was more important than the funeral. Did you decide on what you are making for Thanksgiving?
@Mrsbell8well I love all your family pictures Lula Mae looks like she is in heaven! You all do such fun things as a family! Good luck with your cooking!
@GingerPwr I want to reach out and hug you. You were kicking butt until whatever happened and then you never seemed to get back to that. You also didn't go the other way and gained so I think that is a huge NSV. Especially with all that you have been through. Maybe you can think back to what your motivation was back then. You aren't powerless, you just need to find something that will get you going again. You did check in a lot more back then, I don't know if that helped. I also know you really did some awesome monthly challenges and actually motivated all of us with those. Don't give up on yourself. You really can do this and get to where you want to be. xoxo
@lennoncpa That is a beautiful manorah! I can't believe it is all the way from Israel!
@jedaschultz I agree. It is a life long journey. We didn't put this weight on overnight and we aren't going to take if off quickly either. Happy Birthday to your Mom
@phoebe112476 Congrats on last week and another good weigh in this week! YOu never cease to amaze me!
@twyla77 Nice weigh in for getting back from vacation! I am glad you had a nice time in Mexico. I didn't even think of you going home to snow! Hope you are having a good week!
@ljdanny I am glad you are getting a little break from work. It will be nice for you. It is already shower time for baby #2! It is going to be nice for them to be so close in age. I see you have been doing great getting your exercise in! Great job!!
I tried to respond to everyone. There were a lot of posts so please forgive me if I didn't.

Hello and happy Wednesday everyone. Boy I really feel like I’m whining and complaining a lot. I need to improve my frame of mind and maybe that will improve my eating. Sorry guys!!7
-
Hello all & Happy Thanksgiving Eve! I am working, hoping to get out within the next hour. I am not cooking, we are going to my cousin's, but I am baking. Just looking forward to getting out of here. I do have work on Friday, but we usually get out early the day after as well. I work in the financial industry, so we are always open, except for the major holidays.
This week has not been great. On top of the scale going up last Saturday, it has crept up some more. I am planning on going to the gym after work, I have not worked out since Sunday, I have just been too tired when I get home from work. I am hoping a workout today, Friday & Saturday morning will help with my weigh-in on Saturday.
@sleepymom5 glad the wedding went well, sounds like you enjoyed yourself! I am sure you looked beautiful!
@Mrsbell8well sounds like you have been doing well and are prepared for tomorrow!
@Cafelelia love the Gratitude chart! I think it helps to think about all we have to be grateful for in our lives!
@tryingagain5 nice loss!
Have a Happy Thanksgiving! Enjoy time spent with family & friends!2 -
Hello and happy Wednesday everyone. Boy I really feel like I’m whining and complaining a lot. I need to improve my frame of mind and maybe that will improve my eating. Sorry guys!!
I would call it venting, not whining.😁 Keep posting because others may have ideas for you that you may not have thought of. We're here to encourage each other. Keep working at it. Yes, I know it's hard but you (we) can all do it.4 -
@Cafelelia
Thanks. I've been working really hard. Now I need to stay in this "decade" and continue to move down. Chocolate sure can pack a lot of calories. Once I start I always want more. I know better than to start but sometimes can't help it. I really like chocolate and if there's peanut butter involved, that's better yet. Love the gratitude chart!
@Mrsbell8well
Wow! Sounds like you're cooking and baking up a storm! I got off easy. My sister asked me to bring a veggie tray.
@sleepymom5
Glad you're starting to get back to your routine. Also, good for you for not stressing about your weight being up a little. Glad the wedding went well.
Thanks, I do try to keep up with everything. Yes, Thanksgiving will be fun with the two little ones. I'm sure the 3 week old will be passed around a lot. We're celebrating my youngest nephew's birthday too. His birthday is today. (He's the uncle to the 3 week old)
@ljdanny
Hope you enjoy your long weekend. Enjoy the baby shower!
@nstephenson01
It's understandable that your eating is off with the emotions with your friend.
Yes, I would love to be on days but don't know if I'll get to. My boss is moving to days in a couple of months and made it sound like she could take a few of us with her. I'm going to talk with her and find out how I can be one of them.
@kirsten11872
I understand about being too tired to go to the gym but I usually make myself go anyway. I always feel good after getting a workout in.
Hopefully your day with go by fast on Friday.
Thanks, I've been working really hard!
@cyndiesstuff
Glad your son is getting better and they found what caused the issue.
Even though, as you say "I fell down", that's great that you didn't beat yourself up and told yourself positive things.
@jedaschultz
That's great that you're not going to beat yourself up if you fail-that just causes more misery. Do the best you can and you're right it's a life long journey.
@twyla77
Glad you had a wonderful vacation.

Wednesday 11/27 check in
Food: logged and on track
Water: 64 oz
Exercise: 45 minute class at the gym and 30 minute walk with the community walking group
I got to start my weekend early. My boss came and asked for some volunteers to take 4 hours vacation and go home at 2:30. Of course I said yes.😀 I was in bed by 3:30 and got up at 7:30.
I was able to go to the class at the gym at 9. I worked pretty hard, my heart rate monitor showed I burned 400 calories. It felt strange being up all day during the week since I usually have to sleep during the day.
I had a chiropractor appointment and then ran a bunch of errands and then went to my walking group. There were only 2 of us plus the dietitian who leads it. Kind of figured it would be a small group tonight.
Normally I'd be leaving for work right about now but don't have to go back until Sunday night. As soon as my laundry is done I'm planning on going to bed. I actually did everything that was on my to do list for today. I have a lot more things I'd like to do this weekend while I'm off.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!7 -
My food is all prepped, cooked and baked as much as possible. We have 20 people for T-day. We set up 3 tables and just finished all the table settings. I will take pictures tomorrow. It all looks so pretty. We’re using Molly’s moms China in dining room. Her mom passed away this spring so it’s nice to still have part of her with us.
The wind is howling. Tomorrow gusts up to 60 miles an hour are expected during the turkey trot. That should be interesting. Hopefully it’s behind us and helps with a fast finish. Why do I do these crazy things???
So I was doing great on intuitive eating today. Then at lunch I made a vegan sausage squash collard green pasta I was looking forward to. I had some sort of old flare up like I used to get. I don’t know if it was the hot sausage or what. It was awful and brought up lots of old memories of food challenges where I literally couldn’t eat. But I have to say it is a mixed blessing. I have not been able to eat the rest of the day. I have lost my appetite and I’m afraid to eat.
I know I’m not alone feeling jubilant when something kills are appetite. Particularly before Thanksgiving. I just thought “oh good, I don’t have to worry about extra calories today”.
I’m sure I will be fine tomorrow. Going to bed feeling skinny.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!5 -

Wednesday 11/27 check in
Food: logged and over
Water: 64 oz
Exercise: 30 min bike, PT, strength and stretching
I did ok until I was making things for Thanksgiving then I started eating stupid things like dough and apples with sugar for the pie. I also had 2 chocolate covered pretzels. I realized I was doing it so I did stop but just nothing worth snacking on. Otherwise I would have done well for the day. Tomorrow I am going to eat what I like but not stuff myself. I will be busy most of the day. I am tired so I feel like I am babbling. I don't know when I will be able to check in tomorrow but will try at some point . Hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving!
@lennoncpa I agree with @tryingagain5, it is venting. Hopefully someone's suggestion might help you.
@tryingagain5 Wow! Off until Sunday! That doesn't happen often! Enjoy!
@Mrsbell8well Sounds like you are set for Thanksgiving. We are having those crazy winds too. They already started. Good luck on the Turkey Trot tomorrow. I love that you are using Molly's mom's china tomorrow too. I am sure Molly is happy about that.5 -

Quick post as I am on my phone. not my computer. I was feeling off from having to eat late this week & the flu shot, so I started a 24 hour fast yesterday. It ends at noon & I feel great so far. No Thanksgiving here in Canada, but the Black Friday sales have been going all week!4 -
Happy Thanksgiving!! Hope that you have a wonderful day!!

@sleepymom5
Yes, enjoy yourself today, just do your best not to go too far overboard. That's my plan too.
I'm pretty excited about having all that time off and getting to sleep at night for the next few nights. You're right having that much time off doesn't happen often. A lot of people have to work tomorrow.3 -

I'm thankful for you.7 -

Happy Thanksgiving to all who are celebrating!
I was hoping for a better weigh in but I feel good physically and my wedding ring slides off so oh well, its just a number on the scale. As I mentioned it will be a quiet day just my husband and I. Didn't get a turkey but I have a couple pheasant breasts in the freezer so going to cook them along with oven roasted brussels sprouts and Bobby Flay's Wild Rice with goat cheese dressing recipe. Hubby likes pecan pie but I don't so that's what's for dessert LOL. He's a bit of a grazer and will never finish an entire pie so I'm trying mini pecan pies... He can just grab and go. Oh, and deviled eggs. That's it... pretty simple. Took the dogs on a 6 mile hike Tuesday morning and had planned to do that again today but its snowing and 16 degrees. The snow doesn't bother me as much as the cold. Probably just relax, cook and watch football.
@tryingagain5 You're like the energizer bunny! You get so much done even with your crazy work schedule. Enjoy your time off!!
@gingerpwr I'm glad you've stuck with our group.
Take care everyone!4 -
You guys are awesome! I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving Day. A friend of mine posted this photo of a turkey for the vegetarian made out of a type of bread called Challah.
4 -
@nstephenson01
Thanks! I try. I guess I do what I consider important, which is working out and trying to eat healthier. Now if I could do that with cooking and cleaning. I'm already enjoying my time off. Leaving for my sister's in a little while. She's only 45 minutes away so not too far.
Simple is ok. Enjoy your quiet day with your husband.4 -
So happy to be in bed. I did well at the race. Hosted a big dinner with family, just washed all the dishes, watched Brittany runs a marathon and now my super busy life is about to slow way down. I’m in a bit of a cruise mode most of December.
We also played Pictionary with everyone. That was fun. Before the movie 4 of us did a yoga session together.
Much different Thanksgiving than last year.
Hope you all had a good day.4 -
Thanksgiving at the Bells4 -
Mom bought me this dress for my birthday. Not my usual style but it made mom happy that I wore it.5 -
Had a good afternoon with family at my daughter's I did not overeat -- was really nice not to feel stuffed! We had turkey and all the fixings followed up with Apple pie. Watched football and played games then out to see Frozen 2 now watching AND Christmas Disney special.
A great way to spend a holiday.3 -
Thursday 11/28 check in
Food: logged but over
Water: 80 oz
Exercise: 60 minutes(30 minutes speed intervals on the treadmill and an intense 30 minute workout that my trainer had me do at one of my sessions) I must have worked pretty hard since I burned 560 calories. I thought I'd be alone at the gym but it was actually very busy.
I knew I would be a lot over my calorie limit today but that's ok. I went over by 1350 calories but still think I did better than in the past.
Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!3 -
I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!! Day six friends! Starting tmo!
For me is to finish my inspirational book that I know will help push me through December to the New Year!
