Having the argument in my head of whether to just maintain and regroup in the Spring vs. keep at it. My body seems to really like being in the 165 - 168 range. But I’m not going to give up yet. I will figure this out. Sorry team... haven’t been much of a contributing member.
Keep at it! Don't give up! I've done that too many times and it makes me feel bad when I think about all the work I did and then didn't maintain it and now have to do it all over again.
Are you eating enough protein? Enough calories everyday? Getting in enough water? I know some of you are doing the IF fasting, not sure if you are but you may not be eating enough food. Exercise makes me less hungry, not more, so I have the opposite of you there.
My advice: Don't wait until spring to regroup, that's too long! Waiting until spring give you permission to just not care anymore and I know that you do. Give yourself the ok to maintain between now and Christmas and then get right back at it before New Year's.
I know you"ll figure it out for you but just wanted to share my thoughts with you. You've motivated me with some of your posts and hopefully I can help motivate you.

Friday Check In
Food - good day
Water- 50 oz
Exercise - 30 minute walk
Steps- 8948 steps
I did well yesterday. Josh was up and walking around. So i came home at 3:30. My first thought on my half hour drive home was. What am i going to eat. But instead of ruminating on food to distract me, i flipped the script. Out loud in my car, i had this conversation with myself instead.
Its ok sweetie. It's been a tough couple of days. I know your tired and in pain and just want to forget for a while. Food was our old answer. We don't do that anymore. Soo instead lets use some self care. Im going to get changed into my comfy clothes, make some peppermint vanilla tea and just relax.
I allowed myself to think about what was happening and felt proud of my self on how i showed up. I felt super amazing for not eating to tune out. I felt my feeling and did not eat them. And guess what? I didn't die or get pregnant 😂7 -
@tryingagain5 what great advice for @nstephenson01 . You are learning so much. Make sure to give yourself credit for all the hard work you've done 😉.4

Had a good day yesterday went running 6pm with my step sister. She’s a big time runner. It was nice to have company for a night run. Productive at work and nice evening at home. I was at both branches yesterday and stopped by home for a 30 minute afternoon nap.
@Cafelelia I am familiar with Katherine Switzer that’s a great story and so cool you have a pic w her.4 -

Thought I posted this last night.
Day 2/12 done! Rehearsal dinner done and I was successful! I ate 3 appetizers, 1/2 my meal and 1/2 slice of cake. I don't even think I had 3 drinks. Only thing that wasn't good was I didn't get to exercise today. I did get over 5K steps but making the centerpieces took longer than I anticipated. Oh well...On to day 3! Btw-the rehearsal went well too. Everyone had fun. My dress for the wedding didn't seem looser but the dress I bought for the rehearsal dinner was. It still looked nice but I probably wouldn't have bought it this big. I am glad all the work for the wedding is behind me and it is just time to enjoy family and friends who are here for it.8 -
Thursday Check In
Food - logged & on target
Exercise - rest day
Water - 1.5 l
Pretty good day yesterday. It is a PD day here today, so the kids are off school. My younger son had his birthday in September, but at 9, he did not want the typical kiddie party any more. So we decided that we would have a his best friends over on a PD day instead, so that is today! I am going to take the kids to the movies and I have “hired” my 13 year old to assist. Yesterday, I made pizza for today and ate some, but I went a bit over being satisfied. Delicious and I will know better for next time because eating too much kind of took away from the deliciousness. We are seeing friends tonight for supper at a restaurant, so it is kind of a challenging day foodwise. The plan today is to eat lightly during the day, have some movie popcorn, a small slice of birthday cake & plan my restaurant meal in advance. Not sure I can get a workout in, but I will be running around a lot!
@ljdanny - That is a maintain, which is really good considering how busy you have been and TOM. Hope that you get some time to relax next week in addition to getting stuff done!
@kirsten11872 - I love how active you have been on this thread and glad it is helping you! Avoiding a binge at the Panda Express is a total win! A longer fast before a night out is a great idea. In my experience, the only thing to be mindful of is avoiding an overeat or binge post fast. Have a great time at the party!
@tryingagain5 - Another great day yesterday! The fact that you volunteer is so amazing and your time with that 2 year old sounds just adorable!
@hope002 - Your PW was 205.3, so that is a 2.5 lbs loss! Congratulations! Great day yesterday as well!
@cyndiesstuff - Great day yesterday and am so happy that Josh was up and walking. I love that self-talk and that is how it is done! You should be very proud of yourself! These difficult times in life have the potential to cause setbacks, and you very mindfully did not let that happen!
@Mrsbell8well - My profile pic is now a year and a half old, so I should change it. I just can’t bring myself to take KS down as she inspires me so much. That’s why I need to find her at a race next year & get a new pic! Glad that you got a run in yesterday!
@timibotkin - Great loss, congratulations! It was worth getting new batteries for!
@pacsnc6 - Amazing loss! Slow & steady wins the race!! Congrats!
@sleepymom5 - You should be very proud of yourself! You continue to plan and stick to it during such a joyful, but busy time. How great is it that your rehearsal dinner dress was loose! An NSV! I am sure that the dress for the wedding will look amazing. Enjoy this special time and have fun!!

This is beautiful. I'm so relieved to hear that your son is doing better - I cannot imagine how hard this has been for you. But look at your resilience and mad skills at taking care of yourself. If your son learns some of those from you, he is going to be OK. Share this with him - and give yourself a big hug from me.4 -
@timibotkin @pacsnc6 @Cafelelia @hope002 way to go team mates. Great losses!!
@lennoncpa and we will take that as a maintain. keep working the plan!!
@sleepymom5 ohhhh look at you go girl, living life and being healthy. you have really stepped up for yourself. make sure you tell yourself how proud you are of your success.
@jugar thank you for your heart felt comment above. you don't know how strong you are until you have to be. and I showed up for that boy. I also went and thanked both of the nurses that helped me keep josh calm while they pulled that tube out. he truly was surrounded by angels. and I will give him an extra hug today when I see him!! xo

@cyndiesstuff
Glad your son is doing better. I hope they can find what caused the issue. Also glad is he doing well with his sobriety. Continued prayers for complete healing for him.
You are doing well with your journey in spite of everything going on in your life. Very inspiring!0 -
@Cafelelia
Thanks! It's a struggle sometimes, as we all know. How fun, hiring your 13 year old to help out with the birthday party!
It is fun volunteering with kids. This particular 2 year does have her moments, temper tantrums, etc, but she's so cute and adorable it's hard to stay upset with her.
Glad your gait analysis went well and you reframed what you were seeing on the video.1 -
@sleepymom5
You're doing well. Keep up the good work! Hope all goes well with the wedding. Enjoy the celebration and time with family and friends!0 -
@kirsten11872
Yes, doing well right now. Going to do my best to keep it that way. Definitely a struggle but we can do it.
You are also doing well. Keep up the great work!1 -
@cyndiesstuff
Thanks, I do forget to give myself credit for my progress. I do know I'm supposed to do that because it helps. I will try to remember to do that. I've always been better at encouraging and building others up.
The things I sometimes says to myself I would never say to another person. Why would I do that to myself?🤔 I've always been my own worst enemy.0 -

Friday 11/22 check in
Food: logged and under
Water: 48 oz
Exercise: planned on working out today but it's ended up to be a rest day
NSV: they had pie at work last night. I didn't have any. In the past I would have had some and either feel bad after or just not care. I was asked why I wasn't having any. I told them I was doing so well right now and wanted to keep that up. Also, I want to enjoy Thanksgiving so I'm doing my best to eat healthier foods between now and then and giving myself permission to eat pie, etc then.
I looked in the mirror today(something I don't like doing so it doesn't happen much). I thought I looked a little smaller. I also had someone from my walking group tell me that they thought I looked smaller. That made me feel pretty good.
I took my car to my regular mechanic today. They heard the noise I was hearing and found the issue. Front strut mounts, not a cheap fix. $633 🙁 They are pretty gracious and are letting me make payments. They didn't even have me pay anything today but will send the bill for me to make the first payment later. Good thing I don't need a new furnace yet.
I'm working tonight, volunteered for the overtime. I'm bringing my workout clothes with me and will do my best to go to the gym right after work, as long as I can keep my eyes open. It is hard to stay up all night. I'm definitely a morning person.
I only slept 3 1/2 hours today, was having trouble sleeping today. Have almost 3 hours before I have to leave for work, so now it's time for a nap.5 -
Had a pretty good day. Water aerobics this morning, did not like the leader we had but stayed anyway. Felt good to exercise. Made my husband his favorite Christmas cookies today and I only ate one. Chocolate molasses are yummy too. I have some calories left for today but will decide later if I still want a snack.5

Check in
On track all week
Exercise: Between 105-120 flights of stairs Sunday through Thursday
Water: minimum of 60 oz every day
Steps: Over 12k every day (except rest day)
Sorry I haven't been able to post much this week. Finals are coming up in the next few weeks. Also had tons of appointments this week. I planned ahead and made sure to get in 5 workouts so far this week though. Yesterday I had the hysteroscopy and biopsy I mentioned earlier this month. I ended up having what's called a vasovagal reaction after the biospy and it was incredibly scary. My BP dropped from 134/84 to 70/60 in seconds and my pulse went down to low forties. I felt bad enough that I wasn't sure I was going to be ok. So, I took today as a rest day- might take a walk tomorrow- definitely won't run my normal 100 flights of stairs.
I've been reading along, like I always do. Even though I haven't been able to say it, you guys give me so much inspiration and I'm grateful to be a part of this group, even though I've been a terrible teammate lately.9 -

Then the guys will be here at 10:30. My best friend is coming from North Jersey to help me out. She is the best! I can't believe the day is here. I am looking forward to reading over everyone's posts when I can relax. Have a great weekend everyone! xoxo8

Long day yesterday. Worked all day and then made the hour drive to the hospital to see Josh. Got home late and ate dinner and went to bed.
Today im getting a cut and color. New hair for the holidays. Then to the hospital to see Josh. They found out he had a siezure and then aspirated. He's never done this before.
I have to go visit the old folks then. Then home, laundry, and collapse. My food plan has been made for the day, water bottles fill. Im set for success.

Well still no star today. I’m still 2 away from my goal. I vividly remember how hard it was to drop those last 2 this summer. I really had to push hard. I may have to work to maintain and try again after thanksgiving. I know I can do it but it’s definitely a mind game and yes I still want it!
Congratulations to all our losers this week!!!!
@cafelelia welcome to the 140’s! What’s your goal?
I am mostly wearing size 8 but I have 2 pairs of size 6 pants. Wore both this week. They fit great but I noticed when I ate a bagel, after lunch I noticed the difference in the waist band. It went away but it’s noticeable how carbs affect my body. Oh they are so tasty though.
Have a great weekend everyone!4 -

Oh I was not expecting that at all! My last 2 weigh ins, I stayed the same one week then gained 1 pound the next. So for this past week, I went over my calorie limit 2 days, because I know my body can get used to how much I'm eating and I wont lose. And it worked!! I'm so close to being back in the 180s!!!6 -

Hello & Happy Saturday!😊
I’m at a loss for words with my weigh-in! I was good all week, I did a 26 hour fast yesterday, did an hour on the elliptical, and had over 25k steps! We went out for Hibatchi for dinner last night, I didn’t go crazy with my eating, I got the shrimp & chicken with the veggies, noodles & rice, I also had a few pieces of sushi. I’m not sure if it’s from the sodium, I don’t usually have an issue with water retention, but I don’t like salt or salty foods.
I really thought I was going to be back in the 160’s this week, I’m upset with the gain! I have plans this afternoon and this evening, both involving food of course. I woke up hungry, had a cup of chai tea & a roll with butter & jelly, so my day has already started off bad with my eating. I’m going to try to be very mindful of my eating the rest of the day. I’m going to get back on track!
I have to get ready to go out! I’ll be busy all day! I’ll check in tomorrow. Have a great day! 😊🤗3
