Daily Goals 11/17
1. 30 Min Exercise ✅
2. Step Goal (10K) ✅
3. No Eating Out ✅
4. Under Sodium Limit ✅
5. 1 Hr. Knitting ✅
Daily Step Goal (10,000)
11/17 - 10,118
Adding a new goal to stay under my sodium limit. Normally, I don’t pay much attention to my sodium as I have no medical reason to but my weigh-ins all week were very frustrating and after watching my sodium in-take this weekend my weight finally started dropping again.4 -
17 Nov Recap:
Logged all foods
Calories Under
Exercise: Yardwork, Meal Prep for week
Steps: 6952
Water: 102 oz
Joined a new fitness training gym that I am very excited to start this week. I applied a couple of months ago, finally have an opening so will start Tues. They assign you to a team, it's circuit training where you go to different stations and do various exercises for 10 mins, then to the next station, and so on. They assign your own personal trainer, a nutritionist and athletic trainer. I signed up with the weight loss group. Can't wait to get started.5 -
@jcgator2016 - That’s such a cool concept for a gym, I’ve never heard of one like that before1

Tonight I am enjoying a white tea called “bai hao yin zhen” it is a white tea that is made from hand picked buds. It’s delicate, fresh and has no extra added flavours or ingredients.
I chose it when I had earned a free tea - I like to pick the most expensive ones, so this one was, I believe, 23.99 for 50g. I would never have bought it at that price but the free tea was up to 24.99 so of course I am trying the best lol it’s actually delightful.
Also, I’m finished eating for the day. I finished supper and I won’t eat any more. I did well last night, too. I just need to get a few good days under my belt then I’ll be on a roll. So here we go!
Way to go on not eating after dinner!!!1 -

I was folding laundry and I came to a realization. The only times I sat down this weekend were when I was eating. I have spent hours upon hours in the kitchen, washing at least 15 loads of laundry, vacuuming etc. My feet hurt, my hip hurts, my ankle is still swollen and throbbing. But the only times I sat down were for meals or snacks.
I have conditioned myself to believe I am not allowed to sit down or rest other than when I’m eating. I have also associated food with the feelings I get when I finally sit down. The only time my feet get a rest is when I eat. When I eat my legs get a rest. When I eat, I don’t have to wash or fold or cut or anything else.
So ... what to do with this realization. I am going to make a commitment to deliberately set aside times to relax with no food. At the moment I am sitting and doing some sewing. I’m going to drink my tea and try to feel my body relax without any food in my mouth.
I hope I can manage to work with this new perspective.
Wow!!! Really great insight. Thanks for sharing this!3 -
SALLY AND I HAVE BEEN WORKING BEHINDS THE SCENES TO MAKE THIS TEAM THE BEST.... SHE HAS COME UP WITH SOME OUTSTANDING IDEAS FOR CHALLENGES IN THE UPCOMING MONTHS.
WE ARE ALSO GOING TO ADD ANOTHER LAYER TO THIS TEAM.....
THE MODERATORS HAD ADDED A POSITION TO ALL OF THE TEAMS FOR THE UPCOMING MONTH AND THE NEW YEAR. WE ARE ADDING A FITNESS CAPTAIN.... @Beka3695 AKA BECKY MOD AND CAPTAIN OF THE TEAM SHRINKING ASSETS AND ONE HER TEAMMATES CAME UP WITH THE IDEA AND WILL BE TAKING THE LEAD ON IT FOR THE CAPTAINS
I WILL BE TAKING A STEP BACK FROM POSTING DAILY WEIGH INS AND TURN MY FOCUS TO FITNESS AND NUTRITION. HENCE FOR TEAM WOW'S I WILL BE THE FITNESS AND NUTRITION CAPTAIN.... NOW ALL TEAMS PROBABLY WON'T ROLL WITH THIS WHICH WILL BE A SHAME FOR THAT TEAM BUT, THAT REMAINS TO BE SEEN.
I HAVE ADDED FOR OUR TEAM THE NUTRITION ASPECT AS FITNESS AND NUTRITION GO HAND IN HAND. I DID TAKE SEVERAL QUARTERS OF NUTRITION IN CULINARY ARTS SCHOOL, AS CHEFS WE NEEDED TO BE AWARE OF WHAT WE ARE PREPARING FOR OUR CUSTOMERS. AS THE CLIMATE HAS CHANGED OVER THE YEARS SINCE I GRADUATED I HAVE KEPT UPPED WITH IT FOR HEALTH REASONS FOR ME.
AS THE OWNER OF THE GROUP THIS WILL ALSO ALLOW ME TO VISIT WITH OTHER TEAMS IN THE GROUP AND HELP MOTIVATE THEM. I FIND IT VERY DISCOURAGING WHEN THE TEAM CAPTAINS PUT ALL OF THIS WORK INTO MAKING A GREAT CHALLENGE FOR THE GROUP AS A WHOLE AND THEN NO ONE PARTICIPATES IN IT. WE AS MODERATORS ARE GOING TO TRY TO FIX THAT SCENARIO BEGINNING IN THE NEW YEAR.
NOW THAT BEING SAID WE ARE ADDING ANOTHER CO-CAPTAIN TO HELP SALLY WITH THE WEIGH INS AND MOTIVATION...NOT THAT I AM GOING TO COMPLETELY STOP, BUT WE THOUGHT IT BETTER TO GO THIS WAY SO I DON'T FEEL OVER WHELMED. SALLY WILL BE WORKING WITH OUR NEW CO-CAPTAIN ON THE SPREAD SHEETS POSTING AS WELL AS THE TEAM AND GROUP CHALLENGES. ONCE SALLY IS RTG WITH THE NEW CO-CAPTAIN WE WILL ANNOUNCE IT OR RATHER SHE WILL.
I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO DECEMBER AS WE WILL ROLLING OUT A ANOTHER NEW FOR YOU WARRIORS TO HAVE AT YOUR FINGER TIPS. WE WILL KEEP YOU UP-TO-DATE AS THESE IDEAS START TO GEL AND WE GET READY TO ROLL THEM OUT.
LET'S ALL HAVE A GREAT WEEK ...WHAT YA SAY ...

1. Stay under my calorie goal (currently 1770) ✔1712
2. Get 5,000 steps a day✔ 7994
3. No eating out ✔ I’m counting this one as completed. I ate all my meals in, but the husband and I walked to the burger/ice cream place again and got some ice cream because someone had eaten part of what I planned for dinner, but I didn’t notice until I went to eat.
4. Exercise for at least 20 minutes a day. ✔ 25 minute walk,
5. No caffeine after 1pm (my dr's suggestion for sleep issues) ✔
