Went a little overboard with the naming there but I'm hoping to boost myself (and others who are struggling) a bit extra this month.

Concept for newcomers: tell us your goals, check in weekly (or daily if you like), share your triumphs and setbacks, give/get some support in this great community.

ME:
30y * 5'9" * BMI: 22 * Weight goal: 63kg (138,89lbs)

FEB GOALS
  1. Traditional "Tour Mineral" = No alcohol this month
  2. Since I can't seem to control portions, food needs to be optimum this month: very simple dinners consisting mainly of cottage cheese with fruit, or meat with basic veggies and zero additions. And for the love of everything: cut back on carbs!
  3. Stop buying dates and nuts. Got in the habit of visiting the weekly market because I so love fresh dates and I deluded myself by saying "But they have lots of fiber and are low glycemic index" -> BS woman, they are still clumps of delicious sugar. No more.

    #1 Increase machine cardio from 20 min to 40min 5x week.
    #2 Increase strenght trainning (weight per exercise/body part) 3X wk.
    #3 Keep kcal at 1200 daily (w lots of veggies, protein shakes, fish etc).
    #4 Do group cardio class/yoga/TRX 3x week (keep from getting bored).
    #5 Stay away from sweets & alcohol.

    Allright; I've not been eating well this weekend, no regrets there as it was socializing with the family on Saturday (Pizza and probably a whole tube of Pringles) and hard work redecorating on Sunday (linguini carbonara). Two consecutive days of comfort foods but that doesn't justify the gain of almost 2 kg (4 pounds). I guess it is water weight also as I'm feeling so bloated I had to put my wedding ring on another finger.
    Plan: not let it get to me and restart with my usual foods as of now. And not let the next weekend get in the way :smiley:

    As for the goals:

    4. well, we still had 2 beers left in the fridge and after the hard work on Sunday, we gulped them down and we plan to have March 1st sober as well to make up for it. :innocent:

    I'm done with the antibiotics and I am starting to clear up. OMG, it was horrendous.
    My focus for this week is to clear my system (take lots of fluids) and get through the work week (auditors). I started the kettlebell in the morning. It's quick so I think I can keep up.

    2/3 - 138.6 - Sick as a dog, I went to urgent care last Thursday and they thought bronchitis... but I don't think so, I've barely been able to eat anything for a week. Spent the wknd in bed. Guess I'm going back tomorrow if I don't get some relief. On the upside - I've never lost so much weight so fast in my life.

    I'm jumping back in, somehow I stayed consistent with my weight even tho I haven't been tracking or eating very well the last few weeks.

    Goal 1: Continue to make sure I'm getting in 5-7 a day.
    Goal 2: Lift 3 days a week and pole 1 day a week
    Goal 3: Meet calorie goal 90% of the time
    Goal 4: Be better at eating mindfully
    Goal 5: Don't beat myself up if everything does not go as planned. Some weeks I won't be able to make all of the workouts I want and some days I may go over my calorie goal. It is okay.

    (Better than the 131 I saw on the scale yesterday!) That’s what happens post-Super Bowl 😩
    I’ve been fighting some sort of cold the past week or so, and believe I am losing. Fatigue/general aches/headache over the weekend into Monday. Today, coughing (the congested sort), fatigue, headache. Not enough to truly say I’m sick, but enough to generally feel miserable. And to make bad decisions...like eating too many semi-sweet morsels 🙊
    I have not run since Friday.

    My digestive system is out of wack. I'm off meds/antibiotics for full 2days but still not back to normal... But I burned like crazy last night at OTF and I lifted heavy!

    Get some rest - do not be an idiot like me and keep pushing thru it. It's been 10 days and 2 trips to urgent care, I'm just now returning to the land of the living. It's OK if you don't run for a bit. Take care of your body.

    4 Feb: -0,3kg (0,66 lbs) || Did pretty good on the weekend except Sunday. Yesterday I ate at maintenance because I had a dinner guest. Rest of the week I have my meals already planned out, I'm feeling optimistic!

    TMI:
    Lovelife is in shambles yet again. Was dating a guy for a bit when yesterday he casually told me he's spending 14 February ("oh, is that Valentine's?") out with 'the boys'. I was slightly disappointed by that but fine, I'm not a teenager, it's no big deal. Then he followed up with saying he wouldn't stay over because, and I quote, "I can't sleep well with someone else there". I then stated I didn't want to have sex in that case, it's a bit too casual, even for me. To which he responded by angrily leaving. Like, how are you the one that gets to be pissed off?

    Also: who flagged my initial post in this thread and why??


    Boys are dumb... I'd kick him in the shins for you!

    ok, i'm on a slight 'mission' in Feb so this looks a good place to be upfront.

    Want to get back to safely under 53kg where i was for 18 months before i managed to put on about 4kg over xmas. Since Jan i've been in the 'joyful' process of getting rid)

    The Feb plan: Stick to the plan - this is calorie counting (1200 pd) and i'm going to monitor my macro's for the first time ever which is why i'm back to weighing and itemising on MFP after a 4 year break! Targeting more protein each day than MFP recommends (and less sugar).

    Keep visiting gym mon-fri. Exercise training ramp-up happens in March...
