I’ve been fighting some sort of cold the past week or so, and believe I am losing. Fatigue/general aches/headache over the weekend into Monday. Today, coughing (the congested sort), fatigue, headache. Not enough to truly say I’m sick, but enough to generally feel miserable. And to make bad decisions...like eating too many semi-sweet morsels 🙊
I have not run since Friday.
Get some rest - do not be an idiot like me and keep pushing thru it. It's been 10 days and 2 trips to urgent care, I'm just now returning to the land of the living. It's OK if you don't run for a bit. Take care of your body.1 -

FEB GOALS- Traditional "Tour Mineral" = No alcohol this month
- Since I can't seem to control portions, food needs to be optimum this month: very simple dinners consisting mainly of cottage cheese with fruit, or meat with basic veggies and zero additions. And for the love of everything: cut back on carbs!
- Stop buying dates and nuts. Got in the habit of visiting the weekly market because I so love fresh dates and I deluded myself by saying "But they have lots of fiber and are low glycemic index" -> BS woman, they are still clumps of delicious sugar. No more.

Start weight: 68,3kg (150,58lb)
4 Feb: -0,3kg (0,66 lbs) || Did pretty good on the weekend except Sunday. Yesterday I ate at maintenance because I had a dinner guest. Rest of the week I have my meals already planned out, I'm feeling optimistic!
TMI:
Lovelife is in shambles yet again. Was dating a guy for a bit when yesterday he casually told me he's spending 14 February ("oh, is that Valentine's?") out with 'the boys'. I was slightly disappointed by that but fine, I'm not a teenager, it's no big deal. Then he followed up with saying he wouldn't stay over because, and I quote, "I can't sleep well with someone else there". I then stated I didn't want to have sex in that case, it's a bit too casual, even for me. To which he responded by angrily leaving. Like, how are you the one that gets to be pissed off?
Also: who flagged my initial post in this thread and why??

Goal #4: Replace nightly glass of wine with herbal tea 3x a week
2/3 - 138.6 - Sick as a dog, I went to urgent care last Thursday and they thought bronchitis... but I don't think so, I've barely been able to eat anything for a week. Spent the wknd in bed. Guess I'm going back tomorrow if I don't get some relief. On the upside - I've never lost so much weight so fast in my life.
2/5 - 140.8 - I think I'm returning to the land of the living. Went back to urgent care 2/3 at midnight, so freakin sick.... I had the flu & an ear infection. This week I'm concentrating on nothing but rest and eating decent foods. Made it back to work this afternoon, here's hoping for a quick afternoon.6 -

2/6 - 142.0 - First day in literally 2 wks I've felt sorta like myself!!! I'm taking it easy the rest of the week, but trying to be mindful of what I eat. My weight has been all over the place, I've hardly been eating much - but I think it needs a few days to stabilize.6 -

ok, i'm on a slight 'mission' in Feb so this looks a good place to be upfront.
Want to get back to safely under 53kg where i was for 18 months before i managed to put on about 4kg over xmas. Since Jan i've been in the 'joyful' process of getting rid)
The Feb plan: Stick to the plan - this is calorie counting (1200 pd) and i'm going to monitor my macro's for the first time ever which is why i'm back to weighing and itemising on MFP after a 4 year break! Targeting more protein each day than MFP recommends (and less sugar).
Keep visiting gym mon-fri. Exercise training ramp-up happens in March...3 -

Hi just joining this group and this thread for February. Last year, we had a surprise adoption (which everyone told me that it was awesome I didn’t gain weight for pregnancy) but somehow I put on 10 lbs during the adoption and afterwards. Our baby girl turns one in March. I’ve lost 5 of those 10 but still have 5 more to go! I’m embarrassed bc this is our third baby and I’ve had another adoption and also a biological and have not struggled this long or this much with weight. Plus, I eat so unhealthy and am normally running and exercising every day but motherhood is new to me. And so hard to balance. I feel so unhealthy not because of the weight gain but bc it’s been an unhealthy weight gain. Plus ideally I’m even down even another 3-5 lbs So with that being said...I’m showing up and starting today! And I’m ending a battle to strep throat for 3 weeks.

I haven't weighed myself in a couple days and today I hopped on the scale after a 4 mile run, so I'm not so sure this is a very accurate weight, but I'm still happy to see it. My goal for this weekend was to only get restaurant food once. I got Chipotle yesterday and split it into 2 meals. Yay me! Portions are cool!4 -

This past week, my husband was home with pneumonia and my daughter was home with the flu. I didn’t get to the gym at all. It’s the first week that I haven’t exercised at all in a very long time. I’ve had a little too much alcohol and a lot of salty popcorn, and I can definitely tell my middle is bloated, but my rings are fitting on bigger fingers, so I know I’m not doing as bad as the scale says My goal for this week is to get back on the treadmill and cut back on the alcohol. It would be nice to not feel bloated on Valentine’s Day!2 -

@Cora0477 Tour Mineral is a collective "event" (maybe typical Belgian/Dutch?) where you abstain from alcohol for a full (albeit the shortest) month.

Today it is up a bit, but that's to be expected. As for my goals last week:
1. done
2. done
3. I had to restart week 2, as I couldn't do week 3. Tomorrow, I'll retry week 3 but will go back to week 2 if needed. I have time
4. the no-alcohol goes pretty well mainly because hubbie is also not drinking, so nothing in the house to get tempted by. We are also not going out to eat as the temptation there is too big.1 -
