Hi just joining this group and this thread for February. Last year, we had a surprise adoption (which everyone told me that it was awesome I didn’t gain weight for pregnancy) but somehow I put on 10 lbs during the adoption and afterwards. Our baby girl turns one in March. I’ve lost 5 of those 10 but still have 5 more to go! I’m embarrassed bc this is our third baby and I’ve had another adoption and also a biological and have not struggled this long or this much with weight. Plus, I eat so unhealthy and am normally running and exercising every day but motherhood is new to me. And so hard to balance. I feel so unhealthy not because of the weight gain but bc it’s been an unhealthy weight gain. Plus ideally I’m even down even another 3-5 lbs So with that being said...I’m showing up and starting today! And I’m ending a battle to strep throat for 3 weeks.

I haven't weighed myself in a couple days and today I hopped on the scale after a 4 mile run, so I'm not so sure this is a very accurate weight, but I'm still happy to see it. My goal for this weekend was to only get restaurant food once. I got Chipotle yesterday and split it into 2 meals. Yay me! Portions are cool!4 -

This past week, my husband was home with pneumonia and my daughter was home with the flu. I didn’t get to the gym at all. It’s the first week that I haven’t exercised at all in a very long time. I’ve had a little too much alcohol and a lot of salty popcorn, and I can definitely tell my middle is bloated, but my rings are fitting on bigger fingers, so I know I’m not doing as bad as the scale says My goal for this week is to get back on the treadmill and cut back on the alcohol. It would be nice to not feel bloated on Valentine’s Day!2 -

@Cora0477 Tour Mineral is a collective "event" (maybe typical Belgian/Dutch?) where you abstain from alcohol for a full (albeit the shortest) month.

Today it is up a bit, but that's to be expected. As for my goals last week:
1. done
2. done
3. I had to restart week 2, as I couldn't do week 3. Tomorrow, I'll retry week 3 but will go back to week 2 if needed. I have time
4. the no-alcohol goes pretty well mainly because hubbie is also not drinking, so nothing in the house to get tempted by. We are also not going out to eat as the temptation there is too big.1 -

I’ve been fighting some sort of cold the past week or so, and believe I am losing. Fatigue/general aches/headache over the weekend into Monday. Today, coughing (the congested sort), fatigue, headache. Not enough to truly say I’m sick, but enough to generally feel miserable. And to make bad decisions...like eating too many semi-sweet morsels 🙊
I have not run since Friday.
2/10: 129 lb
Not too worried since I weighed in at 124 yesterday morning, but a little confused too since I didn't eat a terrible lot yesterday! Oooookay....so I ate a whole sleeve of Ritz for breakfast.....maybe that has something to do with it.
Still no running. I've been sick since I last posted on here...made it through work and my own barn work all week, but ended up having to call in sick to work on Saturday. Really bummed about that. I felt like I got run over by a bus, I went through a hundred tissues, and my head felt like it was on the verge of exploding. Friday, after work, I did bare minimum taking care of my horses and was a couch potato through Sunday.
Today, I'm still not feeling great (waaaay better than Friday/Saturday thankfully!) but was thinking I might try some jogging (this was about an hour after I took 2 advil cold & sinus for work this morning lol). But the first horse I rode decided to spook and jump ON my foot, so nope! No running. I don't think it would have been wise anyway, so maybe miss Diamond's Emerald did me a favor lol! Tomorrow is another day!2 -

I slipped once (on Saturday) and I swear I wasn't conscious about it. I was very busy helping out family, my aunt just handed me a glass of champagne (as a "break") and I just drank it without thinking. t Was only at the second glass I all of a sudden remembered what month it was but by then it was too late of course. Other than that accidental slipup, I don't have the least issue with not drinking this time around. - Since I can't seem to control portions, food needs to be optimum this month: very simple dinners consisting mainly of cottage cheese with fruit, or meat with basic veggies and zero additions. And for the love of everything: cut back on carbs!
- Stop buying dates and nuts. Got in the habit of visiting the weekly market because I so love fresh dates and I deluded myself by saying "But they have lots of fiber and are low glycemic index" -> BS woman, they are still clumps of delicious sugar. No more.

But not complaining when the universe throws me a bone! I also feel -and this is important- that I finally got my head back into the game! The last 2 days I did eat very clean and modest without any effort: not only am I barely hungry but I don't even want to eat (which is a new sensation for me 😜). I'm thinking it's due to a new game I'm obsessed with and that takes up all my spare time (hands on the controller means logistic prevention of snacking) + all my mental energy goes to thinking about the game instead of food

I am feeling much better! No more medication and eating and drinking just normal. Gosh, it feels good to feel "normal"!

There was a change in the company (some remember my boss COO got fired a while back) well so they wanted me to switch rolls and I am now in a different department, being trained in something completely different! They were shorthanded in the first place working OT, I am so overwhelmed... But it's keeping me busy, I have NO time to do anything else.
No time to go online, no time to eat at desk, no time to go P!!! (I do, but you know what I mean)
The day goes by so fast, my head is spinning. I can't wait to go to OTF tonight.5 -

2/3 - 138.6 - Sick as a dog, I went to urgent care last Thursday and they thought bronchitis... but I don't think so, I've barely been able to eat anything for a week. Spent the wknd in bed. Guess I'm going back tomorrow if I don't get some relief. On the upside - I've never lost so much weight so fast in my life.
2/5 - 140.8 - I think I'm returning to the land of the living. Went back to urgent care 2/3 at midnight, so freakin sick.... I had the flu & an ear infection. This week I'm concentrating on nothing but rest and eating decent foods. Made it back to work this afternoon, here's hoping for a quick afternoon.
2/6 - 142.0 - First day in literally 2 wks I've felt sorta like myself!!! I'm taking it easy the rest of the week, but trying to be mindful of what I eat. My weight has been all over the place, I've hardly been eating much - but I think it needs a few days to stabilize.
2/12 - 144.2 - time to get back to paying attention. We've had a few movie nights (rarity - popcorn, m&ms, all the junk food).....and I made a big batch of chicken Alfredo last night. Snow this morning, but my fiance is off till Friday so it's a good time for me to skip dinner and tighten down a bit. Pretty sure I'm gonna get stuck cleaning stalls this evening, there's 11 of them - so I'm going to count that as my workout toay.4 -
