ME:
30y * 5'9" * BMI: 22 * Weight goal: 63kg (138,89lbs)
FEB GOALS- Traditional "Tour Mineral" = No alcohol this month
Final result: I slipped up twice and ended the month early at the start of my vacation (28/02) but all in all I'm satisfied with my effort. Going to try and keep it to an acceptable low level next month too I think. - Since I can't seem to control portions, food needs to be optimum this month: very simple dinners consisting mainly of cottage cheese with fruit, or meat with basic veggies and zero additions. And for the love of everything: cut back on carbs!
I did well for the entire month but hopelessly screwed up the last half week, because of the vacation. Didn't do any fasting, le French Guy cooked a lot of meals for me, lots of on-the-go snacks (meaning high carb, high sugar) and of course when in a foreign country I just need to sample everything! - Stop buying dates and nuts. Got in the habit of visiting the weekly market because I so love fresh dates and I deluded myself by saying "But they have lots of fiber and are low glycemic index" -> BS woman, they are still clumps of delicious sugar. No more.
Didn't buy any!

I have no idea what my final weight is: I just arrived back from Copenhagen yesterday and didn't step on a scale yet. Will do so tomorrow but I'm certain my efforts for this month will have been nullified. Definitely scared to see the consequences... It's strange how just eating whatever I want only pleases me for a short time, and then I start to feel bad. I really miss fasting after a while, even though I now need to retrain my body again. I'm currently suffering from cravings and urges that have little to do with actually being hungry and I hate that. It's even worse than craving a specific piece of food (I get that), this is more wanting just about ANYTHING to stuff your face with to feel as full as you possibly can.
That being said: I did have an awesome time over there. Le french guy was just as thoughtful, sweet, romantic, and cute as he was a month ago. He cooked typical french cuisine and opened the best bottles he brought with him from France (can he be any more French?!) for me, we went out to dance and he acted all boyfriend like, walked around town holding hands, laughed, made love and had a bittersweet goodbye. I absolutely wish to tell you guys everything but a) not the point of this thread and b) the post might get flagged for inappropriate content I'm legit going to try and move to Copenhagen I think; what a wonderfully organised city with super friendly people. I loved the whole vibe of it.
I'm soooo glad you had a good time, you've certainly deserved it ! And le French Guy seems to be mr perfect! I truly enjoyed reading your post, it's like a whiff of fresh air in these dark and rainy days
And no matter what the scale tells you tomorrow, you'll just go from there and we'll meet in the March thread and gallop in the right direction. A bit of more natural daylight will help already.
And thank you for your very kind words

That sounds like a fabulous end to Feb! So glad you enjoyed your trip, bet it was amazing. Sometimes a change of scenery is so needed.
The fasting has really helped me. It's easy for me to do at work, and I always feel so much better afterwards. It's almost like hitting the 'reset' button on my body. I did allow myself far more treats while on my trip than I usually do, but I have to be able to still enjoy myself. If we're in a really neat cafe 400 miles from home that's known for their desserts - of course I'm going to have a few bites of whatever my fiance orders. It's just part of figuring out what works for my lifestyle since I moved to NM. I never had to be so conscious of it when I lived alone....**dang men anyway! GW:109... for the month of February
CBF: 20.1%
Goal BF%: 19%
Goal #1:Stick to light dinner diet
Goal #2:Drinks on weekends only (tour mineral is unrealistic for me!)
Goal #3: OTF 4x week
Goal #4: 10 min morning Kettlebell workout
09/30 109.6, 19.6%
10/30 108, 19.1%
11/27 108.4, 19.4%
12/31 112, 20.6%
01/31 110.2, 20.1% 33.5, 27, 33
02/03 112, 20.7%
02/05 109.8, 19.7%
02/11 109.8, 19.7%
02/19 109.2, 19.4%, muscle mass now 38%!!
02/26 107.8, 19.3%
02/28 107.6, 18.9%
This is the first time seeing my body fat go under 19%. I know it's probably temporary but I had to record.
I'm finally feeling normal. This flu really kicked me in the butt. Since I didn't do anything last weekend, I plan on meal planning, prepping and getting things organized.
BTW, my now fiance has lost 17 lbs since January! He's no longer in the "Obese" category😉 Very happy for him!
Wow nicely done! I think my bodyfat is about 26%, I can't imagine ever getting below 19!! I'm gladly you feeling better. Good thing it was just the regular 'ole flu and not this trendy Corona virus
I somehow can't picture that you, being so fit and sporty, have a fiancé who was until recently in the obese category. Usually, either both parties of a couple are too heavy, or both are fit, OR the guy is sporty and the woman a bit too heavy but rarely the other way around I think! Good for him you're pulling him into the healthier lifestyle1 -
@I4a_p, Thanks! Body Fat was one of my main focus trying to get it down.
I kicked started doing Keto and cut out the carbs completely. That only lasted for couple of months but it helped a lot.
Once I saw the drop, I moved on to Low carb and introduced back some carbs. (Still keep it to 50-100g)
To see any definition for me, I had to get the BF lower. But now that it’s at the lowest under 19%, I feel I am good. Don’t want to go too low as I am not competing or a body builder.
As for my S.O., he doesn’t or didn’t come across Obese. He just looked chubby. He’s one of those really stalky types? Big, thick boned guys. Lots of muscles but with a belly type?(lol) He loves showing pictures of him back in the day- 8 pack abs with thick hair! I didn’t care cuz he’s active and he’s really not Fat. Just heavy in the belly.
He definitely gained since we started dating 5 yrs ago and he became more self-conscious when he’s shirts were getting tight. I kept suggesting diets and exercises but he really didn’t start until this year. The digital scale app was the turning point. Since he started on that, there was no going back. He weighs himself every day, checks BF and sees the graph. I guess it keeps him motivated. I pack him lunch and snacks and he’s been eating light dinners so good for him. He started 208 and now 189. His goal is 185 so he’s really close.

My hubbie is losing weigth at the moment, but around Christmas he was still in the morbidly obese category and has been for around 5 years, but just as Weatherking's hubbie he is very active. I don't love him less for it.
