HOW IT ALL WORKS:
Every challenger weighs in on their chosen day, every week without fail! At the end of each week, the tallies are done to determine the team and individuals with the most weight lost. The best losers are announced with full fanfare every Sunday. The team competition is all in good spirits - may the most losing win!
We also track those small, steady losses with the Green Week count. If you lose, however small an amount, it counts for 1 week in the green. The total will be by month, and cumulative - so you can really rack them up and get to your goal even if you never hit the top of the leader board.
If you need a week off, a break, a change of weigh-in day - just ask your Captain here on your team chat page. If you miss two weigh-ins in a row without asking for a break, you will be dropped from the team, so be sure to ask if you are travelling, sick, or just needing some time off.
In addition to your own team, there are F2F Full Group CHALLENGES. You can do all or none - it's up to you. Participating adds a lot to your success, so we hope to see you there often! These can involve anything fitness, health, or nutrition - and they’ll get you moving, thinking, and learning about this journey. Check the Announcements section for full group challenges.
Let’s show our fellow challengers some F2F love!! Introduce yourselves right away, and let the new month begin.
THANKS!

Welcome to April!
We will have no new members this month - our retention was so fantastic in March that we do not need any! This is an opportunity to get to know each other even better. Introduce yourselves again and give us some new information, updates, insights, and everything about your goals for April. Daily habits you want to stick to. Struggles. I encourage you to post every day however briefly to let everyone know how you're doing on those - especially when things are tough. Having your team there with you to cheer you on, or offer support, advice, and laughs, can make a big difference.
In March, we began tracking Green Weeks. Every time you lose even a tiny amount of weight, you are in the Green for that week. Add those up with a few weeks every month, and you are losing steadily, even if you never appear in the top 3 losers of the week, or our team does not make it to the leader board. The green weeks will carry over to the following month - see how many you can get!
Introductions:
I have collected previous introductions in a document if you want to remind yourself about what you or anyone else already shared:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1y_cLaQDEEoxZiulsWKKIPyfSGR5985PeQvWa6_wjKLA/edit?usp=sharing
You can open in Google Docs (or download into whatever format) and edit it if you want to. I'll put names on the spreadsheet too, but they'll be WAY off to the right of all the columns, so you have to scroll far to see them! If you are uncomfortable sharing name or location or anything else, no one is required to do so.
You already know what there is to know about me - retired, musician, living in still half winter/half spring Québec, happily isolated way up in the woods where no one gets close. So just a quick update - my kids are out in the world, one in Alberta and one in the nearest town to here, so far doing OK. My parents, sibs, and nieces are in the US, keeping well isolated, or else!!
Things you can find on the F2F main page: https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/114605-fat-2-fit-weight-loss-challenge-and-support-group

I know that green check marks on a screen are nowhere near as amazing as those metallic embossed silver and gold stars we used to get in primary school, but they're easier to find! You can make them accumulate every single day.

Have a great month!2 -
I just want to say, life is pretty tough right now for a lot of people.
This is a great month for promising to be extra kind and understanding towards others and most importantly yourself. Like all of life, you're gonna have bad days along with the good. As long as you can acknowledge them and try to do even a tiny bit better in the future, you are doing a great job.
I'm proud of every single person here because I've seen how hard you work, and that hard work really matters even if the results take a little longer to show.5 -

Good Morning,
I just realized that I never formal introduced myself my MFP name is matthewsfive and my name is Vera I leave in bucks county PA, I am Italian by birth and was brought to the USA when I was 2. Im 56 years old and have been married for 32 years. I have three grown boys 29,27 and 24. They live within an hour drive, so i'm lucky we are all close. My middle son will be getting married in June 2020 (fingers crossed).
My journey has always been the one who was never the skinniest or the heaviest. 32 years ago when I thought I was heavy at 125 pounds I had no idea what was coming me way. During the last 32 years as most of us, my weight yoyo up and down. After my first son was born I was at 185 pounds I was able to take it off but needed support and help so I took the NutriSystem road. Yes it worked, then after my third son I was even heavier because all the weight plus more packed on, around 200 pounds. So I have been in a battle with my weight for a very lone time. In 2015 my first son was getting married and I thought okay now its time and I need to do this for him, at my heaviest weight ever 280. I didn't want to hid from the cameras and I didn't want him to have that first dance with a very unhealthy and overweight mom and I didn't want to have that picture taken of us. Well I took off 105 pounds no special programs or weight locations. I hit the gyms and joined MFP. Long story short his wedding was cancelled 2 months before his wedding and I was so upset. Here I did this for him and that was all I could focus on. No he didn't ask me to lose weight but I want to look good for him and his day. I went into such low place I was upset for him and for me and 4 years later i'm at 270 pounds. Luckily, I didn't many health issues but 2 really bad knees and my Doct would not replace my knees because my BMI was too high for surgery. So 14 months ago I made the decision that this time I'm doing this for me. I am for once and for all going to control my weight issues. This is 100% for me and only me. Was is hard? Hell YES is it going to get easier hell NO. I can say that I can have the knee surgery when I'm ready, but after having a rotor cuff surgery two years ago and the current surgery I'm going to wait and see how my knees feel after losing this weight. My starting weight was 270, my current weight is 163.8 and my goal is 150. I know that the next 14 pounds are not going to be easy to take off but I'm going to do it. I realize that no matter wha. I have learned, is that my weight is going to be a struggle for the rest of my life. I have to always be mindful of what I decide to eat and not let food control me life anymore.
My middle sons wedding is in June and I for the first time in a long time I will not be hiding from pictures. I do have self body image problem so it will not be easy for me but I'm going to work on it and not let it take me to that dark side. It is his day not mine.
So here is to a long road but well worth taking.
Stay well and healthy8 -

HABIT TRACKER! Did you know that we have our own habit tracker that is here for you to use? It’s on the main group page, under the announcements called the F2F Habit Tracker-April 2020. Habit tracking works because it gives you a visual representation of your progress. You get to see all the times you’ve done the habit lined up as an unbroken chain. Once you can see your progress, you’re much less likely to skip the habit.
Just click the link and follow the easy instructions and start tracking your habits today! Habit Tracker
TIP: I like to bookmark my team's page at the beginning of every month for easier access. Happy Tracking!!1 -

Too late for the tallies! But since you stayed the same, it does not change the totals. Try to drop by every day so that you'll catch the reminders! I'm sure it is hard right now, but it helps to hang out with your friends here at least a bit1 -

It is my pleasure. I decided it was the best way to celebrate your loss even though you said it was mostly down to the surgery - that is certainly not an easy way to do it! And also to celebrate the top person on the team who lost without surgery You are both #1 in my books.3 -
Sorry everyone, I am up a bit! Lack of exercise and pandemic snaccidents.

And we're into another month. I know this one is going to be a tough one. Some of the other team captains have a spouse or a parent who has tested positive or is in hospital. Many of the team members have kids at home, are working from home, or are otherwise stretched and stressed. We're a tough bunch, though - and some of the stories of coping and keeping cool are seriously inspiring. I'm glad we have these teams, especially for those who are active and involved. I think the community helps, and will help us stay on track and not eating all the things, as we tend to do under stress.
April has 5 weeks, so we can settle in and keep together. Never hesitate to vent, just check in briefly, or use this place in the way that helps you most.2 -

SO PROUD! 3 people lost weight every single week in March (including my sister! congrats!), and 8 people lost for 3 of the 4 weeks! I think we did pretty well, don't you? Consistency, and over four weeks, we lost 42.5 pounds as a team. Picture 42.5 pounds of butter on your kitchen counter. That's how much fat and flab we lost. Sure, not every single individual lost this month, but as a group, if we were one body - we did really well.
I am happy with myself this month - best green check mark streak in the habit tracker since I started doing it. I have become rather fond of those check marks

The good news is I had been up to 152. My night time snacking still continues, but I've upped my workout. I added some songs to my bike playlist this week, so I've been doing 15 miles in an hour/day. Today was 25 miles.
@matthewsfive intro is so inspirational! Even though I've been up a little during later March, I'm surprised I'm not back up to 163 where I started the year.
No excuses. I'm back in for April, & I'll try to read everyday.3 -

Hi @jugar!! Thanks.. 😁1 -
Checking in for Sunday. Had a good day. Ate some good food and fit in an hour work out. Still trying to keep the mood stable! LOL.
Trying to think of a good intro since we all know each other this month. I have struggled with weight from about the time my husband and I got married. Having 3 kids and a busy work schedule didn't help either. I really decided about a year ago to lose the weight for myself. It has taken a lot of time to build new habits and it is still a work in progress. The habit I am most proud of is working out regularly.
My April goals are to adapt to my work from home schedule. I really don't like when home and work mix. I've been really pissy about the whole thing and couldn't put my finger on the actual issue. I am planning to have a better attitude because it's really a gift. I get to keep my job, collect a pay check, stay safe and do parts of my job. I will only work my work schedule. I will tell co workers I am not available on Friday because that is my day off. I will begin my work day by turning my email notifications on and end my day by turning my email notifications off. I will fit exercise in daily and take a lunch break. I will cut myself some slack when things get busy and I can't do everything I think I'm "supposed" to do.
Is anyone else tired of preparing every meal for the past 14-16 days straight? Oh my goodness so much cooking. I never realized how much I enjoyed eating out as a break from cooking. Thank goodness the kids can do dishes! SO...MANY..

@jugar can I change my weigh in to Friday this month?
Congratulations to everyone who lost each week in March!!!!! That's my goal for this month.
@conleywoods You're an SLP, right? What age group? We aren't going back this year and that's hard. I'm trying to think of special online activities to do. I have yet to find a good schedule. I'm going to try one out this week, but it will change again next week, as my work will change.0
