Yes, I've done those stretches. The plantar seems gone for now, so I'm trying to rest the Achilles. I'm not a high heel wearer, but I'm a runner. And yes, Morton's nueroma. Years ago I went into my favorite running store, explained the issue, and the owner put pads under my insoles. Instant relief! I can't add photos to a post or message, but it's not a typical metatarsal pad.
I have custom orthotic insoles for my three neuromas (why am I so popular??) and they make a huge difference. And for that problem, totally flat (zero drop) shoes are the best. But I guess for the heel and Achilles problems that would not work for you two. Bummer.

Today was a crazy day. My son got hurt when I was on Zoom Meeting for reopening schools. The meeting was basically a plan to make a plan to make a plan!!! I had work I wanted to get done for my online business, but that didn't happen. The baby is very fussy. I haven't showered. I did not workout, which isn't the end of the world. I was going to take a rest day Thurs, but I took it today instead. Plus, my calories were low today. I actually hot my macros perfectly. Yes, I measured everything. 😀

Yikes! What a day. You are amazing to have done so well on your food measuring and hitting your macros perfectly! One thing was totally under control even if the rest went all crazy on you. Well done!

@conleywoods ballet workouts sound really fun! And like a lot of work. Don't feel embarrassed, embrace those sore muscles 😉 Do you have videos that you follow or take a course?

@Terytha I want to hear about that chocolate wine - is it thick like milk or more wine-like consistency? I recently switched to the occasional hard seltzer instead of a glass of wine to reduce calories and carbs, so I will have to live vicariously through you lol but if chocolate wine is any good I might have to try it sometime!

I feel really good about my food and exercise today. I was dreading extra dishes due to measuring everything but I realized my mason jars have measurements on the side so I used one of those to make my protein smoothie this morning so that wasn't nearly as bad as I thought. Some of my choices weren't the healthiest, but I kept portions in check (I.e. half of a chicken quesadilla from taco bell for lunch is better than a whole one!) and I got a good amount of steps today. I honestly didn't expect to be motivated to do much after working 11 hours in the office, but I got a boost of energy so I went for a bike ride, did some housework, and watered and weeded the flower bed. All in all a productive day 😊

So yesterday I wrote out this long post, and it never posted, I wonder if I just forgot to hit post... I don't know I swear I sometimes think my brain is just going kaputt... anyway it was about 2 things

1- that meal thingy I got, it was called Every Plate - it was yummy, I will totally do that again until we run out of the discounted weeks.. ( You get 3, so I will finish mine, then have the Hubby sign up for 3 more, then get my son to sign up for 3 more) alot of people say that the servings size are too small, but I found them to be just right, mostly each meal was 500-600 calories, except last nights that was 800 but it had white rice, and I didn't finish it.. I don't like alot of rice, and it was ALOT... Anyway, highly recommend, and it was reasonably priced, for 4 meals for 2 people it was $ 32.00 ( that's with the coupon)...

2- Got my blood results My cholesterol is high-ish.. It's 216 - but that was unfasted, last time I did it, it was 216 fasted, and 252 unfasted.. so I am going to say it's going in the right direction... but apparently my B12 is off the charts, I do take a supplement, so I have to stop taking that and get retested soon... I always thought B12 was one of those vitamins that you couldn't take too much of, but it can also be a sign of other things, so as long as it drops back to a normal # - it should all be fine, if not they have to start looking at other stuff... All the other numbers were good...

3- I am leaving to go camping tomorrow - well not really camping we have a cabin for 3 days, and will tent camp for 1, we are going to the Shenandoah Valley, it's a section of the Blue Ridge Mountains, it's so pretty there... We will be tubing, fishing and hiking... I have done absolutely nothing to get ready for this trip yet, so tonight and tomorrow morning I will be super busy...

    Have a great day !

Happy Canada Day! Or Wednesday! Or Rabbit Rabbit - whatever floats your boat today.

Thanks for the super positive and fun messages @jguldi11 and @Gidgitgoescrazy - even if your brain is going kaput, you have too much B12 or you are thinking about chocolate wine. (my face goes all scrunchy and weird even thinking about that one)

Business first! Then today is mad pesto day. I have too much fresh oregano, basil, and arugula. Watch out.

Catch up! Late weigh-ins needed ASAP -
    @graceojo999
    @alexsandramorff
@eponymoose (maybe you have left the team? this is the last chance not to be dropped)
@CM_73 (I know you're probably still floating around in a boat, so no worries)

    Weigh in day - ugg
    PW: 179.2
    CW: 179.8

Time to stop this madness. Each week for the past month I seem to keep going the wrong direction. Although my high during the past week is 181, so down but up. Goal by end of month is 173. The upward trend is done!

It can really help to land here and post your daily progress, rant about things that are really hard right now, discuss a plan and see if you can get some help from teammates. Set a few tiny goals that will help you get to that weight goal. You got this!

    Measuring is hard because
......the measuring cups went on strike last week and refuse to work until they are filled with healthier food options.

😂😂 @eggfreak I was in the middle of typing whatever my message was and the little one got up from her nap, so I hit send real quick so I wouldn’t lose it. Lol Never got back to it, but your response gave me a good giggle.

This will be my last weigh in and I am going to drop out of the group. Something has come up in which I must devote my entire focus and I don't know how long that will be the case.
Sorry to see you go. Best wishes on whatever roads your life's journey takes you!

Happy Canada Day to all our fellow Canadians!

We pulled our trailer down to my home town in central Alberta on Monday afternoon since my sister was coming home for a visit. Thought we would play some golf but it has done nothing but rain, hard! So lots of cards and board games but no real exercise :( I think I'm keeping my eating on track though, although I don't have a scale in the trailer. We're heading home tomorrow so I guess we'll see on Friday's weigh in...

Here is some of the info about why we hit pleatues during weight loss. I think it's helpful to know why. You can make a better plan once you know what is going on!
    7ttutn0of2qf.jpg
    vzzbpsjg12h4.jpg
The suggestions for breaking a pleateau are:
    1. Ride the Wave-just keep following your plan and wait it out. Your body will adjust and get back to losing.
    2. Meet your calorie budget- measure and log accurately.
    3. Move more- high intensity workouts suppress appetite FYI. Low or moderate intensity exercises increase appetite. Something to think about!
    4. Find new ways to measure progress and stay positive.
This is very helpful - I was just discussing this with my husband last night. We NEED plateaus! Once the body gets used to the new reality, it gets easier to lose again. But it is important to listen to those times when the hunger becomes kind of crazy. That's the time to go into a few days (or a week or sometimes more) of plateau-mode. Stick to the number of net calories to stay at that weight and not regain. Keep up your exercise! Drink plenty of water. Try not to lose, not to gain. Then after a few days, reduce the net calories again and off you go!

Of course, if you stay stuck and aren't being accurate about your food logging, get out the scales and measuring cups and spoons again...

@conleywoods Thanks for sharing this. Lots of food for thought. (I'm pretty sure though there are no calories to be logged in food for thought!)

@Gidgitgoescrazy We usually go cabin camping and I love it, best of both worlds. I keep seeing people post tent pics and that makes me want to go tent camping....but not with a 10 month old.

@conleywoods Thanks for sharing. I feel like I live in a platue so that gives me something to think about. I am pretty sure my platues are caused by lack of consistency though.

My kids have been rough today. I am not proud of how I handled a situation with my 10 year old. 🤦‍♀️ I wanted to eat or drink, but instead I did second workout. Then, poured a drink.🤷‍♀️

I’ll catch up on steps tomorrow. This weather has been crappy for several days and tomorrow is supposedly going to be hugely hot. Hmm. Well, my tomatoes and eggplant will go nuts! That’s good.
I love the zany things y’all have been writing and plan to catch up more in the morning. Brief Intro:
I live in Vermont; am the mother of 2 adult daughters, and am studying to become a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA). I live with my spouse, Sarah James (my 3rd), and have been furloughed from massage work since 3/17. The Inn is open now but I’m not feeling ready to get back into the swing of things, yet.
    Sleep well. More Thursday.

Good morning, feeling back on track. Minor stress yesterday when my work call threw an unexpected curve ball about how we'll be going back to the office, me alternating with my boss, one week in, one week work from home, one week in...etc..and the office gets a deep clean on the weekends. I ALMOST reached for food but did not. Dad coverage at home the biggest stressor but we worked it out and we'll just see how it goes. Happy to have my food scale back in action and the scale went back in the right direction. I didn't go so far as to actually run/jog, but, remembering one of my listed habits on the habit tracker and tips from Steph in LUX, I opened the brand new earbud package, looked up running music on youtube, and marched briskly around the garden with my umbrella. Getting into some better running duds and my sneakers next time, I will pick up the pace and start giving this a try.

I did it, i think this is the fist time I've ever set a weight goal and met it... Now if I can keep it there after 4 days in the woods, thats the real challenge.... have a great weekend!!!

Have a great trip! You'll hopefully get plenty of exercise to offset any extra intake

@micki48 and @jugar can I please be back on the board for steps for July?
I have my work back to normal now so lots of steps during the day 🤭
Also when is the deadline to post steps for the week? I would prefer to post a photo as a proof, because I do quite a lot, but I don't mind posting my steps every night if that's easier?

    01 July steps 16,020
    02 July steps 20,032

    Thank you Team ♥️

Turned my back on my zucchini plants for 2 days and they doubled in size. Checking daily now. Going to be making zucchini bread hopefully today.
Feeling bloated and really need to work on no snacking or at least no processed food snacking.
Got a call yesterday that while at the dentist office last week was exposed to covid19. Been over a week and feel fine. 2 of us getting teeth clean and 1 of us getting a tooth fixed. All 3 of us feel fine and no symptoms. Doing everything to boost our immune systems.
DH had TKR 3 weeks ago. Everything went really well but his skin had a reaction to the adhesive of the bandage. Very painful removing bandage. Layers of skin removed and now blisters. It has been 2 days after removing bandage. Looks like bad burns on his skin but the incision looks good. No infection - that is the main thing. Little stressful over here but things are headed in the right direction.
What a journey in this post - from zucchini to snacks, exposure to the virus, and a really not fun reaction to adhesives! I hope your DH is doing OK with that - mine had both knees done a few years ago, and once he got through the first few months, he is a new person. Physiotherapy was his daily devotion for quite a while, but it really paid off. He's 73, out in the woods with a chain saw all day sometimes, can stack 6 full cords of firewood in 3 hours. He also had a shoulder replacement a year ago, and that got him going even better! Amazing stuff. But the adhesive allergy thing is horrible. I have had that, and it really is not fun. Hope it heals fast!

I hope you stay well, and enjoy all the wonderful zucchini. I eat it just about every day, even though my plants are only just starting to flower. It makes great meals of all kinds. I have a fabulous gluten free zuke muffin recipe, but mostly I use it in skillet messes, as DH calls them. Enjoy!

Today is recommitment day. Should have been yesterday but it was a holiday so we pushed to today: (almost) exactly halfway through 2020, the beginning of the downhill slope to the end, now is the time to gain momentum!

As for me: 100 calories for after dinner snacks/candy per day, period. No more excuses, no more "it's only an extra 20 calories."

No more alcohol until Christmas. I actually thought I was gonna die yesterday, I guess I lost 90 pounds of pure alcohol tolerance.

Less bread, at least until I determine if the bread is hurting my stomach. Maybe I'll pick up sourdough again.

Less take out. I love Pho Friday, but its dangerous: cheap, plentiful, loaded with salt. Hard on my increasingly sensitive stomach (thanks, genetics.)

More fiber, tentatively. I'm gonna try again anyway.

More personal projects and less laziness. I need to work on my mental health and that means picking up my old projects: that book I was writing and my language learning efforts.

    Anyone else doing mid-year resolutions?
WOW! That is an impressive list of resolutions. I love the loss of 90 pounds of pure alcohol tolerance! A good thing to lose. And yeah, leaving out bread sure works for me. Hope it does for you! I had not thought of doing mid-year resolutions. I look forward to hearing who else is up for that!
