Surprised with this because this week hasn't been great at all. I've been having TONS of anxiety attacks, anxiety all day, depression and I was eating sweets OFTEN! I swear, I'll never understand my body or this weight loss thing, lol. Anyway, have a lot that has been going on that I wanted to talk about here, but I think I'll come back later to do that. Good day yesterday but not so good today. I am not going to have one slip up (cookie) ruin the whole day. Kitchen faucet broke last night after dinner. Thank goodness for dishwashers. I am not having luck finding a plumber, my usual guy is away. Ugh!
@ljdanny I don't blame you for not going. Hopefully your friend will understand. Bowling sounds fun, hope you had fun.

@tryingagain5 I can relate to the "looking old" comment. I remember when I felt that way about my Mom and Aunt. It is like they cross a line at some point. I agree, it is sad. I am glad that you are going to stay with our group and stay accountable even though you are going on the cheer squad. Please keep checking in. Remember, when you don't feel like posting is probably when you really need to be.

@xX_PhoenixRising_Xx Reading through your intro reminded me of what you shared back then, you had 3? moves in a short amount of time(it seemed to me) while also working, raising 4 children and all that goes with it. Even with all that you were physically and mentally going through at the time, you held it together and got done what you needed to keep everything going. I know you gained weight but you have really come so far since then. You are able to manage your symptoms and you know your body so well that you know when to push and when not to. You really are inspiring. On another note, I always here NZ is one of the most beautiful places in the world. Your pictures from your walks really prove it!
@Freeglerock I didn't realize how much you have already lost! You are doing awesome! You have made lifelong healthy habits and you are also being a fantastic example to your kids.

@JillyBT I am sure that you already got advice about IF, quite a few people do it on our team. If it wasn't recommended already, The Obesity Code explains the science behind it. It was interesting.
@minstrelofsarcasm I love how you reflect on your week. Why can't I organize my thoughts like that! I feel like I fly by the seat of my pants! How awesome to be getting rid of big clothes and people noticing your loss. You have worked hard to get to this point and I am sure you will continue until you reach your goals!

@bburrer30 On days when you can't fit in a good workout, I recommend those Leslie Sansone videos. You can do 1 mile in 15 min, it really gets steps in and your heart rate up. I watch them on Youtube.
@timibotkin Your trainer sounds perfect It is nice that you have someone who really understands what you are going through. I am also sorry to hear about your friend. I know you said you don't live close but I am sure she will appreciate someone who can relate to what she is going through and provide her some comfort. Hugs!

I don’t know if I ever shared this photo with you all. This was one of my foster dogs - Lilly Rose was her name and she need double knee surgeries because the knees kept popping out of the sockets. There’s a technical name for it but I forgot what it’s called. Anyways, I fostered her in 2018 and she was 10 years old then. She got adopted by a wonderful family who posts pictures of her all the time and I love to see her having such a wonderful life😀5 -

I have no idea why I gained. I walked 15-20 thousand steps a day and did strength training every day. I logged all food and was under goal every day. Sorry to let the team down, hope this week is better!

The "gain" will be water retention from lifting. Muscles need to repair themselves after being worked out, which is why a good rule of thumb is to never weigh in the day after a lifting session (she says, having done it herself lol). But always expect your weight to be up after lifting because of that repair work. Don't forget that rest days from lifting are important too, they allow the muscles to fully repair. I think of rest days as a necessary evil as I would always rather be in the gym! But as a personal trainer, I know the body needs them.
In summary - you didn't let anyone down, and your weight will probably drop in a day or two. 🙂💪1 -

@sleepymom5 I never did catch up on all the posts I missed reading. Thoroughly enjoying and appreciating your summaries lol. You always put such warm friendly supportive comments to each team member. You are definitely missed when your not around.
Yesterday turned into another slow rest day. Molly wanted to watch an old classic. We ended up watching Giant. Phew...3 1/2 hours. James Dean, Elizabeth Taylor and Rock Hudson. Great acting.
My Carmen Miranda 😉 meal plan was interesting. 32 oz of OJ. 32 oz of apple carrot juice, and ended the day with 32 oz of mixed greens juice. I really loved the green juice. (Celery, cucumber, green apple, Swiss chard, romaine, dandelion greens, turmeric, ginger, lemon juice, kale, parsley).
Went to bed with a headache. Not sure if it was from continued detox or a side effect of PT exercises. My neck muscles are tense from some of the positions. I start PT this week. So grateful to have another week off.3 -
I haven’t been on mfp much the past couple of weeks, and have been eating what I want. I’m finding I don’t feel nearly as good as when I stay on plan. I’m back to it today. I am NOT leaving Onederland!

This weekend was rainy and gray mostly so no walking. A good excuse to binge watch some Netflix series. We watched the first season-ten episodes of Virgin River. I needed the rest as I was having stomach issues.5

Oh boy, I was not good this weekend. Sure, I got a few spin classes in, but I ate and ate and ate and ate until my stomach was obvious under my t-shirt.
Thinking that today will be a hard reset, if I can muster up the self control to avoid snacking throughout the workday. Just have to keep myself busy enough. And maybe go for a walk as soon as the workday ends so I'm not snacking into dinner (which will be a full dinner, because my stomach works off of time cues, not fullness cues).
I also have a recurring alarm which will remind me to adjust my posture, drink some water, and take a minute or two away from my screens so my eyes don't get even worse. Here's hoping that's enough to keep me on track today.5 -
Monday check in
I am doing pretty well for a vacation. Not really logging or tracking anything and it feels good to take a break from measuring out so many things that I do daily. I am getting a lot of fresh air, water and exercise. I will be sad when it is over, and honestly, I could use another two weeks of this!
@sleepymom5 - Thanks for posting to everyone and you also got me caught up on all the posts! I am glad that you did not let one cookie throw you! Thanks for noticing the new profile pic. I really needed to refresh for 2020, plus I am putting together some progress pics, which trust me, is not one of my talents! Daisy is adorable!
@lennoncpa - Be still my heart, that Lilly Rose is just so cute. I am allergic to furry house pets, which is tough, particularly for my boys. You really tempted me to adopt though. I begged my allergist at one point and he said, “How about a turtle?”
@goingape - I think it is really smart to start planning for your winter activity now. I think that the big question with gyms is whether they are fully open and will remain so in the area where you live.
@debbiewsharpe - Don’t despair and @xX_PhoenixRising_Xx has provided an excellent explanation for what has happened. You are never letting us down!
@mrsbell8well - Glad that you are resting and hope that the headache went away today.
@kristieJC - Just check in here as much as you need to. I do find that tracking and checking in helps with accountability. Onederland wants you to stay!
@pacsnc6 - I love Netflix binging and loved Virgin River. I read far less books on vacation this time. I think that my brain needed a rest from the months of homeschooling. I did finish all 7 seasons of the Australian show, Offspring and loved it as well.
@minstrelofsarcasm - I find that weekends can be danger zone for more snacking because many of us don’t have the structure as we do on weekdays. Replacing the snacking cue with something else like a walk is a great idea. Hope that it goes well today!

Started the day feeling pretty good. This OJ grapefruit juice was just delicious! Also highly recommended the 32 oz Bubba cup. It’s insulated and keeps my drinks icy for hours when I make suntea.
I’m back in bed for another rest break.

I keep saying to myself I wasted a week since my brother's visit but nothing I can do about that now. New week, time to take charge. It is really only my eating, everything else is back on track.
Can I tell you today is a BEAUTIFUL day at the Jersey shore?! It is mid 70s, sunny, low humidity...This is the weather I love. I am going to get off the computer and get my bike and kayak rides in. I am sure Shannon is going to want to go for a walk later too. My college roommate is supposed to be down with her family this week. I haven't heard from her. She is a nurse practitioner and I have a feeling she doesn't want to put me in the position of having to say I don't want to get together because of Covid. I usually have them for a bay day too but I think I will join them on the beach a day or two. I will probably see them when I take a walk on the beach later.

@debbiewsharpe That happens. There are so many things that go into our weight so the scale isn't always the best indicator of what is going on. Don't worry about letting us down, we are a very supportive group and we are happy you are here!

I don't know what swiss chard or dandelion tastes like so I kinda get lost with those added in Lol! Listen to your body, do your PT and rest, you will get through this just like you get through any other obstacle that gets in your way! xo
@KristieJC I am on the edge of being out of onderland too. It is so easy to get back into bad habits. Let's use this week to reset and get back on track. We can do this!!

Starting to get back on track with everything. Hubby and I went to the gym this morning and I stretched and walked on the treadmill. Need to stay focused and watch what goes in my mouth. Traveling again Thursday to check on my 80 year old mother and that often becomes a problem with the eating. By the way, hubby is also watching his weight and he lost 6 pounds this week, great for him but deflating for me. Got to always keep everything in perspective

Wow, I was top last week? That's gonna be a first and last I think Well done to all! Don't think it's going to be repeated this week sadly as the scales have been up and down like a yoyo so at the moment I'm resigned to being happy if I can at least get a maintain, but guess we'll see. Had a grocery shop come today so at least I should be set for healthy options for the week. Weather has turned again and been pouring down the last few days so haven't managed to get out much - hoping it will clear up tomorrow and can manage at least a short walk!8 -
Since I posted the photo of Lilly Rose with her casts on, I thought I would show you how she’s doing now! Her mom always posts photos on Instagram so it’s awesome that I can see how she’s doing! By the way, Lilly is also deaf and has no teeth! She was adopted by a family that has a blind wiener dog!

Today was one heck of a day spent 11 hours marking out one pad with the help of another locator. I still feel pretty good but pretty sure I’m gonna be feeling that 8.7 miles tomorrow and I got a two mile pipeline to walk in the morning so a good four miles there and back. 😊😊 plus this weekend my friend is coming up to see me and we are going hiking probably Friday 😊😊 hope everyone is having a good Monday5 -
