So, I'm hoping that's water weight.
Guess what? It was. Weighed in at 167.2 lbs this morning, which I think is a much more reasonable weight when compared to last week's. Maybe it's time to switch my weigh day. Wednesdays must still feel the after effects of my weekends.
Also, I wrote a quick blog about water retention yesterday, if anyone is curious about how prevalent it is:
Ashley, I'm going to record your weight as 167.2 lbs this week. Would you like to move to Thursdays? I can make that happen. I feel so powerful just saying that.2 -

Sure, let's move to Thursdays for now. Let's see if it helps! Thank you!2 -
that was a nice surprise to see on the scale today, i did step on the scale monday and it was a little lower but i will take this. i did have a small bowl of ice cream last night as a special treat that i am hoping is the reason its more today. i started back to zumba which was great. i talked to my instructor about the spin class she teaches on monday nights that i think i am going to give a try. i have been cutting some of my portions in half, drinking more water, added in more fruits, veggies and salads. that gross drink i have been drinking in the mornings is becoming more tolerable and i think it is helping my stomach a little, we will see as time goes on. i hope the number on the scale keeps moving down. i did skip my workout yesterday to sit in the pool because it was so hot out and i know we will not have many more days of this. it is going to be a little cooler this weekend. i am treating myself to a pedicure today and i think i will go for a walk after dinner.
@sleepymom5 my dog gets all the leftover too. sometimes i have been known to even make her a hotdog or something special for herself.
Congratulations, Tracy! About Spinning, the first time I went, I wanted to strangle the woman who convinced us all to go. It was 10 of us from the office. I thought I would never go back. But, now I have my own Spin bike. Nothing fancy, our community centre sold them to the regulars in the class when they got new ones. Start slow and you may have found an exciting new cardio passion. Go early to get help setting up your bike and some pointers for beginners. Let us know how you like...or hate...your first class.

steps for today - 13570.
I prepped a veg / bean salad for tomorrow. It has red pepper, tomato, brown beans, cauliflower, bit of salsa, bit of catalina dressing and some frito hoops on top --carefully weighed : ) --for crunch. I can't believe how much I'm looking forward to it.....lol.
I forgot to say, this sounds delicious! How was it?

@sleepymom5 Thanks for the concern, but I have not been sick on the new regimen. Next week is my second dose and I hope it stays the same. I have had less appetite so that may have helped with the drop in weight. Let's hope I can keep that up. I have not been feeling as sleepy most days but not as much energy either. Most of the time I have been working on my cross stitch - it's a little more than 1/4 done! I still take one or two very short walks every day. And my husband has NOT taken over the housework or cooking yet.

I couldn't get into the community at all yesterday? It appears the app is still glitchy. I haven't caught up on all the posts. Anyway, after 102 days of no community transmission of Covid, we now have cases again. My city is back in level 3 lockdown and waiting to hear today if that will extend. We have 17 cases and no idea how it got into the community because we only had a handful of cases at the border in managed isolation. I am once again working from home, kids are home from school, shops are shut etc. We are under stay at home orders unless essential to leave.
Food-wise I have been on track, getting in good gym sessions. Once again thankful for my home gym. Last night I lifted the heaviest weight I have ever done for bench press. Which isn't heavy because that's always been weak for me - 25 kg - but damnit, that's better than when I was at my fittest, lightest and strongest. I actually went up on all my weights, but most of them are nowhere near what I used to lift. Yet. 😄 💪
I see a few comments about spin bikes - I love mine. I actually have two because I recently bought a new one. Spinning is my primary cardio.
I am also a Dr Who fan, but I can keep creatine straight in my head. 🤣 Of course, now I think Krillitane every time I say it. Thanks for that!

I am ok with this small gain. I have been indulging in a little more wine and dessert on holiday, but we are doing a whole lot of hiking and other activity. I will still be on holiday next week, but will start showing up more regularly starting on Sunday. I managed to put my audit off until February, hurray! Hope that everyone is doing well!4 -

I had a fun day yesterday but didn't go as planned. My guests arrived at 1pm and the last of them left at 11pm. It was fun and the day went by quickly but I overindulged. Oh well, once again, back on track today.
@ljdanny Nice loss! You really are doing well. Maybe I should just start going to 1/2 servings. It may be easier just to do that and stop with the mental games I play with myself...
@pacsnc6 I am glad to hear things are still going well with the regimen. I am sure the loss of energy is normal with all that you are going through so I am glad you are listening to your body and taking it easy. I used to love to cross stitch but haven't done it since my children were little.
@xX_PhoenixRising_Xx It sounds like you are doing better than where I left off last (I am still catching up lol!). It is awesome that you can actually see that you are getting stronger!
@nstephenson01 Nice loss!! Hope things are going well
@Cafelelia I am glad that you are enjoying your vacation! You certainly deserve it! xo
@1theresamcvean Responding to the posts-I realized I didn't weigh in this morning. Can I just weigh in tomorrow? Sorry about that2 -

@nstephenson01 Yay! 2.5 lbs down. That must have felt good. High five.
@Cafelelia So happy your audit has been postponed and for a good long time. You have so much to deal with with this moving target of schooling in September. Hugs.
@sleepymom5 Totally, weigh in tomorrow. I'm glad you're having a good time and have so many insights to share.
@hope002 I hope you pass your Covid test and am sorry to hear about your friend. I hope they get better soon and without any complications. Great loss, BTW.
@lennoncpa Yay! Nice loss. I know I sound like a broken record but I put hummus on my shopping list today. Did Bebe get adopted? I was thinking about you two a couple days ago. Big hugs either way.
@xX_PhoenixRising_Xx Sorry to hear the Covid numbers are up in your area. You did so well. I know it is supposed to come in waves.
@kirsten11872 I've been thinking about how well you've been doing. I love learning from you.
@minstrelofsarcasm Great insights, as always.
@Melzz19 Nice loss! Way to go.

Have a good weekend everyone!
I spent the last 2 days really resting. (Not an Angelina resting lol).
I’m off for another week. My days are mixed but I’m feeling very optimistic. Using the time to do a detox cleanse. Feels harsher than usual. I suspect steroids and narcotics helped but also took their toll on my body.
I’m transitioning over the next week to the Eat Move Rest lifestyle.
Today is day 4 of my cleanse. Tomorrow I start EMR 3 day juice feast. Fresh OJ for breakfast, carrot apple juice for lunch and green juice for dinner.
After struggling so much for the last 3 months I finally feel mentally ready to get back to an extremely healthy eating regimen.
I have spent hours and days studying and watching you tubes. Everything about this lifestyle is in synch with my beliefs.
It’s primarily raw till 4. Whole food plant based. Cooked carbs and veg in evening. 80/10/10 ratio of carbs, protein, and fat.
I feel like this is a lifestyle that can get me back to goal and to help me maintain once I’m there.

Not surprised by this weigh in. Time to get back at it. It is a beautiful day at the shore. It is in the 70s and breezy. The kids may not like it but after all the heat and humidity it is a welcomed break for me! For those of you that have heard the shore has been crazy, I haven't experienced that but I do admit I haven't been to the beach on the weekend. On the weekdays everyone seems to respect each others distance, at least at our beach. We are lucky because we are on a canal off the bay so we can stay at the house and still swim and kayak.
@hope002 You never cease to amaze me. You have really made IF your lifestyle and were successful on a trip with your friends! Nice job! I am glad you tested negative. I hope your friend is ok. I am curious how tall you are. For some reason I thought at one point you said 5'8" but I am not sure.
@lennoncpa That is basically maintaining. You have been doing great. My son is 3/4 for the CPA exams. One more to go! It has been a long year for him and his new wife Lol! Not much time for anything but work and studying. I am sure you remember those days...
@lenka1 Nice loss! Enjoy your vacation!!
@Melzz19 Nice loss! I still have to go back and read over what I missed but in the mean time welcome!
@1theresamcvean Thank you. I hope all is well with you. I know you had a busy week xo
@goingape I also have to go read your intro. Welcome to the group!
@Mrsbell8well Hugs! I hope you are feeling better and back to yourself soon.
@Zumba_Luvah Nice loss! You will be in the 150s soon!

It's cool here today in the 70s. Noone wants to go swimming. My friend is having a grad party for her daughter but I was hesitant on going because shes having a lot of people and I think it will be hard to social distance. She seems a little mad cuz I didn't really want to come. I am deciding not to and going bowling with my son and family, a little easier to social distance. I am going to try to get a walk in before we head out but I think bowling is going to be a workout.4
