I had a really abysmal sleep the night before, (awake half the night, asleep most of the morning), and usually those types of days become a "throw in the towel" day early on. But I had to go to work (as I do this morning....statement time), so I figured I could do it, since I was going to be away from the house, and more specifically, the kitchen! I didn't get home until after 7 pm. but I still squeezed in a 35 minute walk, that ended in the dark. (I just walk up and down my street, which is the main street - well lit and well travelled).5 -

@HASWLRS - outstanding job, overcoming the challenges of a sleepless night and a long day! I am impressed that you still did a walk. I had disturbed sleep last night, due to a phone call from security re. my husband's office at 12:30 a.m. (false alarm, but I was up three hours after that).

Christine - I love that he was so excited about the cake that you all ate it a day earlier! Even with that, you managed to come under calories - terrific!0

@richmondwriter thank you! I precut the cake and only took one slice. I'll be over my carbs again today, but that cake is so good! Definitely worth it! I'm sure he will want more cake soon, and I won't say no, today! ๐
61 calories over is practically on track! That's not a lot over! Great work!1 -

I am not struggling today so far, but I had another sleepless night, late morning sleep in. I really think I wake up because I am hungry.....but I really liked the number on the scale this morning!
1,250 (goal) - 1,587 (food) + 1,047 (Fitbit exercise calories including daily steps and my intentional walk) = 710 remaining.
I was focusing on the 1,587 that I consumed (seems like a good amount of food), but maybe I should be focusing on the 710 remaining, and not leave so many calories on the table.2 -
@murdog2t, I am glad you are able to rest, if you do nothing else!! Hope you are feeling a little better each day.
@cmhubbard92, well done on managing your daily calories, even with birthday cake on the menu!!
@mooreshelly09, you are off to a great start...your exercise, steps, water, logging are all on point!
@erikNJ, well done on adjusting your mindset and finding your groove again! I have a good feeling about September for you!
@jmb6739, I am always impressed with women who lift weights! You are also off to a great start, with your logging and your exercise!
@knlizght, first you joined a gym, then you did 30 minutes of a Zumba class.....so impressed with your "let's do this" attitude!! You are an inspiration!
@loraloha22, you are another impressive newbie, who is being consistent with logging and exercise...well done!
@DaffyGirl88, you seem to be firmly back in the saddle after your visit with your grandson (and his parents, of course!)
@richmondwriter, yes, we get phone calls, too, in the middle of the night for the farm supply from the security company, as well. Not too many now, though, once my husband shortened the list of "reasons" to call. (We haven't had a true break-in in decades...and they were only after the cigarettes that we used to be able to sell in the showroom. Being in a tobacco belt, it was the thing to do). And yes, I agree with Christine....61 over is being on track!5 -
Okay, I have ordered pizza. There was nothing in the house to cook for dinner, and I wouldn't have been up for it anyways. It's not MY favourite pizza, but it is a good pizza, and I have learned you can pick of the olives! I am not going to have any....I am not even going to open the box (it is on my kitchen counter). I am going to have my Lean Cuisine and then ad lib from there based on calories left over and macros that seem to be in a short fall.
I am hoping that by "saying" this out loud, I will want to stay accountable!5 -

I feel a bit of a cheat setting my daily goal at 2500... Every month over the last year my average has never been over 2000 so I thought 2500 was a good aim. These past few days really havenโt been the norm for me! Iโll see how I get on this month and increase my step goal next month if my steps continue to be high!
*none scale victory - this week I have been able to stand in the kitchen when cooking meals rather than sitting on a chair to chop/cook etc. Currently at 22lbs loss and still a very long way to but Iโm feeling positive and Iโm a good place! Loving the accountability and positivity in this group โค๏ธ4 -

Wayyyy over carbs today, but under calories overall! It seriously could have been much worse! I had two of those yummy rolls from Texas Roadhouse, and a "Chicken Critter Salad." We didn't dine-in(wayyy too weird with everything going on), and brought it home. Enjoyed another slice of cake! I will be having my final piece of delicious cake tomorrow, but remaining focused on keto again tomorrow.1 -
@HASWLRS I know you can stay strong! Resist temptation!!! I may have caved, but you can do it! I hope you also get a good night's rest tonight!
@knlizght that is a wonderful accomplishment! I am so happy for your NSV! I think NSV are certainly the most rewarding!
@mooreshelly09 great work! Do you like the walking videos? I've never fully tried them before... maybe I will have to give it a shot!0 -

@knlizght Great progress!! It sounds like 2500 was a good goal at the time. Now that you are getting stronger maybe you can increase it. Don't aim too high though, maybe increase it in 500 step increments? Don't try to do too much too soon, and remember to take a rest day.
Great NSV! You're increasing your stamina which is great! Keep up the great work!! ๐ฅฐ0 -
