Today I did the bodpod and I am ecstatic with the results! It’s so motivating. My metabolism is fast. Way better than last time! I have lost over 10 pounds of fat and little muscle mass. I went from obesity 1 to overweight. Just so many positives. ❤️ Almost 18 pounds down. Woot woot! My next appointment is next month.

WTG!! It is so fun to track those changes. As you lose, body composition is more and more a great indication of your progress than just weight. It is also good to visualise the relationship between fat and muscle (and water) as you go.coffeetwist wrote: »Hi everyone @jugar I love the idea of an accountability partner, I would be happy to give it a go. I'm relatively busy too, but I wonder if I would find it less cumbersome than trying to keep up with the posts here - which is why I often only end up checking in weekly.
Anyway, not sure how I ended up with a loss this week, but I'm taking it! My snacking has been out of control and my meal logging hasn't been too great. But it's a new day/week, so here we go...3 -

I got my flu shot on the weekend and my arm still really hurts, so I think I'm laying off the arm exercises for a little longer.
@jugar - good idea for a wee "team" to have more direct contact, sending texts or email. That'd enhance the community experience quite nicely, I believe, (especially knowing that the app can be ornery sometimes).
It's suppertime. More soon!

I got exciting news today - I met with a surgeon and it will be possible to remove the gigantic hematoma that has been decorating my posterior since April. It is large, but it has stayed completely on top of the muscle, well-encapsulated, and they'll have to remove the entire capsule. He said it was due to my good muscle tone that the hematoma did not form inside the muscle at all and that it will be possible to take the whole thing off. Draining it will never work - it will just keep filling back up again. I am so relieved that there is a solution! No idea when the surgery will happen, but just knowing I will be able to wear jeans (or any trousers that fit), sit comfortably, and lie on my back again is fantastic. Never thought I'd be glad to have surgery on my @$$ but I'll take it!
In the meantime, I'll keep exercising so the muscle stays strong and impervious to invasion. And hopefully not eat as much as I did today
Meanwhile, back to nagging - my favourite!

Looks like you got a free pass on this week! Watch out for this coming week - and if you want to try the buddy approach, that can help a lot. I paired you with @YinxFed just because you are at almost the same weight, but it is not possible for Yinka right now. Time zones are fun with you though - we have a few in the UK and Europe, so you're just about 11-12 hours apart. If you want someone with daylight at the same time as you, even though it isn't the same day, we have a few in Alberta, Washington (state), California, and one in Hawaii! Let me know what looks good for you.
I'm up and productive in the mornings, so if someone who is more productive in their evenings, that the 11-12 hour difference can work for me, but I'm flexible.

@Gidgitgoescrazy that is so awesome about your cardio fitness score!! I haven't looked at mine in a long while (because I want it to be drastically different than the first time they showed it to me), you're inspiring me!!
@jugar that is SO COOL that your doctor literally told you that muscle tone saved you from a more complicated situation. And the lump will be gone!! Yay!!
I am really trying to rein in the post-dinner snacking this week. It is not helping anybody. But my workouts have been good - my firm is doing a fitness challenge for November for charity, and part of it includes bringing in trainers to teach some virtual classes. So far, I have done 4 HIIT classes and 1 bootcamp (at 6:30am which is wildly unlike me! Total bed bug here), and I've pushed myself to do the classes in addition to one or two workouts that I would normally do. Unfortunately, I have had to modify a lot this week because on Sunday, I walked my left foot right into a 5lb hand weight on the ground. My middle toe is totally black & blue. Ugh. Bring on the ice packs.7 -
I logged all my food and was under my goal. I did a 15 minute Leslie Sansome workout. I didn’t get my Fitbit on until about three in the afternoon. I forgot it was charging. Oh well.
Good news about your butt Liselyn. Glad to hear you will soon get relief.
Hope everyone is doing well.5 -

I've dealt with a migraine today and so didn't really do much but lay around and watch Netflix.5 -
@jugar Fantastic news! Keep us posted.
@MandiSaysHey I hope you feel better today!
@micki48 Soumds like you had a pretty good day!1 -
So yesterday I checked all the boxes, even avoided eating out, ya see we have NO FOOD in the house, and the meal box was supposed to come yesterday, but it did not, so we had to improvise for dinner, so I made pizzas on my wrap tortillas... They were pretty yummy... I think this weekend I will need to make some stuff to freeze for nights like that..
Today is my rest day, and it's going to rain all day... BUT I got up this morning at regular time, and it just felt weird to lay in bed.. so I got up and put a video in, it was an older one, called the Firm, they were huge back when I did WW, but I never really got into it, but from what I understand it gives you excellent results, so I put the video in, and yeah.. not my cup of tea.. So I thought let me see what this other video is... It was Jessica Smith, it wasn't bad, I did a 10 min session, it's faster paced then Leslie but very similar, so I might have to throw that in there to mix it up...
So Yesterday I let you all know we only have 50 days till new years, so it made me think about what I'd like to accomplish next year for my resolution... I have made my decision, I am going to learn how to do a handstand, a real one, that I can hold for like 60 seconds... I found a tutorial, it looks doable... I'm excited...
@jugar That's great news about your rear end, You've been dealing with that for a while, So it's good to know you can get it taken care of soon.
Have a great day !5 -

That was a surprise. I mean, as worked really hard this week. I logged everything and my macros were almost on par, but the scale didn't really budge. Yesterday, it was only down .2 I am happy.10 -
Happy Wednesday!
It is Remembrance Day here in Canada, and I miss our annual trip to the ceremony in Sherbrooke, Québec - usually in the freezing temperatures but this year it would have been pleasant, sunny and warm. Our daughter has taken part in the event for several years now. She was honoured to be chosen as one of the "sleepers" who represent the dead during the ceremony. Head bowed, rifle reversed, she had to stand motionless through the entire ceremony, speeches, wreath laying, and all. It is a beautiful but difficult role, and we were proud of her willingness to not only embody those who had been killed in war, but to think about them and their families, their home towns. Québec has never been a place that supports the military as much as the rest of Canada, but the beauty of this ceremony on a steep hill under a winged statue brought people out to acknowledge those who did. Our daughter is now in Alberta, and currently on a difficult training course with the Army - it is a complete mystery to me how our dreamy girl with her head in a book ended up there! But I admire the way she constantly explores the ideas around the military in the world, no matter how difficult those thoughts can be. Let's all just hope that peacekeeping is always prized over menace and aggression.
I'm heading out for a good walk before the rain comes. Didn't get very many steps the past couple of days - but the exercise bike got a lot of exercise!5 -
Last night, our district voted to go virtual from Thanksgiving to MLK. I have mixed feelings, but after listening to a local Dr., it was the right choice. The one good thing is that it will be easier for me to workouts in. I can work for an hour at 5am when the baby wakes up and then take an hour break during the day.
@jugar well, I am glad you are having surgery to remove it nad way to go on those booty muscles! 🍑
@MandiSaysHey I hope you feel better soon
@micki48 sounds like a great day!! Keep logging and keep moving you got this!!!
@kali225 Late night snacking can be hard. Sometimes, I am legit hungry because I didn't eat enough during the day, but most of the time, I just like a snack while I watch a show after I get the kids to bed. Great workouts!2 -
@Kali225 For my snacks, I have sugar free fudge pops, they are 40 calories each, and satisfy my ice cream craving... and I have popcorn, I use Orville Redenbacher smart pop 100 calorie bags, it gives you a pretty good size bag, I eat it kernel by kernel, so it takes me forever, I've also split it up into 3 ziploc bags to have through the night so it feels like I am having 3 snacks, I know it's weird, but it worked.6

You are all in the same weight range and could make two pairs or a little group of 4. If the time zone problem is a pain, then I would suggest @snakagawa11 or @Steph1498 where the differences would be more manageable.
If anyone wants to look at where people live or their stats, go to our spreadsheet at
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1K-4xnu_YPx7PD1R3eXjLO1FqDh2aL-0pgLKna1YkQFg/edit?usp=sharing
Choose Waistaways from the tabs on the bottom, and then scroll ALL the way to the right, after the "green weeks" box, and it tells where people live if they have told the group. If your name or place are not there and you would like them to be, let me know!
To view the spreadsheet on phone or mobile, you'll need the google sheets app. On the web, it just opens as a tab in your browser.

So relieved to finally have broken through almost stagnant weight loss for a couple weeks. I've always heard that exercise can slow down seeing the numbers go down so I've tried to not let it bother me but it's good to finally see movement! This makes just a hair short of 20lbs lost (19.8), woo!!
