I have been under calorie goal but I have had way too much sodium the last few days, so we shall see how weigh in is in the morning.5 -

Mondays are the worst, atleast this monday... Both dogs had accidents overnight ( thankfully the big one is smart and used the kitchen floor, not my white living room rug... )The other dog is crated at night... It had to have been the turkey I gave them a little bit of yesterday, that had to be it.. Then one of the cats threw up.... So needless to say I spent 1st thing this morning being completely grossed out...
I did not get my full planned exercise in this morning, I did do 20 minutes though, I was late to work, but I worked late on friday, so yeah...
I am completely over work, and being a productive member of society, it's sooo much work... I know, I know, I have nothing to complain about, I have it pretty easy actually, I know and am grateful for that, but darn it, I am having a bad day !
So today is strength training and 10k steps... No rain in the forcast this week, so I will hopefully get atleast 3 work walks in... Then I will do a video when I get home, so I can hit it..
I prepped so much food yesterday, I made all my breakfast and lunches... and I made Turkey pot pies, and froze a bunch... oh and we cleaned out the fridge and freezer... I have come to the conclusion that I should only buy what I will eat that week, there are only 3 things I can make ahead and freeze, and that is Turkey Pot pies, Lasagna and Taquitos... LOL - I really want to stop being so wasteful... I threw away a whole turkey that I got like 4 thanksgivings ago, cause it was free..
Anyway, have a great day !

Not as big of a loss as I would've liked, but still a loss. And i am sure my super high sodium choices over the weekend (pizza and taco bell) have me holding water weight so maybe next week will be better.5 -
Hopefully this week's gain is water weight.

Wow, I really fell behind and reading the comments. Life is completely insane right now. In the last 1.5 weeks, I have had 1 child with a busted ear drum, 1 baby with RSV (who had to have a video appointment so we actually don't know), and a crown pop off. I think I told you that our schools were going virtual next week and then Friday they announced another 2 week lockdown.🤯
I am handling it all really well. I am working out, which helps what little sleep I get, and I am logging everything. My eating is far from perfect, but I am balancing it. When I look at the week, my calories are under and macros are right where I want them. I am just going to keep working to make the best out of a bad situation.7 -

@evelynladams527
Oh my gosh YESSSS! I literally have dreamt about seeing the 170’s. LOL
YOU got this!! 💪🏼 🏆4 -
Today started out good. I took a walk with my granddaughter. My eating was good. Then she didn’t want to nap and it went downhill from there.
Now that the sun has set, I feel sad. I’ll be ok but the weight of this pandemic feels really heavy right now. My granddaughter told my daughter on the way home, “I’m really sad because I don’t have a friend to hold hands with or play with.” It breaks my heart. She’s 2 1/2. She’s basically seen her mom and dad and my husband and I the last eight months. 😢 So sad for her.
I’ll be ok. But not feeling like exercising right now. And shoved tortilla chips and guacamole in my mouth after my daughter shared that.
I had my moment. I’ll be fine. Just so tired of it. Talk about pandemic fatigue. Just want people to stay home, wear a 😷 and stay socially distanced, so we can get back to our lives some day.
Hope you day has been good.6 -
@KellyBgetsfit you are superwoman! Keep doing what you're doing. Isnt it amazing how well you sleep when you've managed to exercise? Life sure can throw curveballs. Hope the crown you lost doesn't put you in too much discomfort. Things will smooth out for you soon!2

@jugar I'm not sure if we want to count my weight this week, (maybe TMI?) I'm very bloated due to hormonal reasons. On the plus side my body seems to be ovulating on its own WITHOUT MEDICATION for the first time since I was a teenager! As such I really don't mind the gain this week.

@SMcFall0215 you are completely valid in stating food can be like a drug. For many of us (myself included it would seem) eating food causes a chemical reaction in the brain that actually hits the same reward pathways as drugs or alcohol. In fact there's a medication called naltrexone that is used for alcohol and opiate addiction, and it recently became approved for weight loss (when combined with bupropion) because it helps manage cravings. As an addictions therapist it is both interesting and oh so frustrating to experience this struggle myself. Don't leave now, having peer support can be one of the most impactful parts of recovery! Additionally, I have found the book Life is Hard, Food is Easy to be very inspiring.
@evelynladams527 you have inspired me to take a magnesium bath too. I haven't done that in months, thanks for the idea!!
Today was a busy day, did some work at the office in preparation for my stay-cation next week, had an appt with my new PCP to get some labs done, got my tire fixed, went to the gym for cardio and weights, had a healthy dinner, and now a relaxing bath.4 -
Oh this is great. I love it when things are rockin' and rollin' even when I'm not around for the whole day. What? That's even possible???? Yeah. You all are amazing.
A few reactions to all your awesomeness -
@kmriedell
BRAVA!!! More loss. You are on a serious roll. I know percussionists who practice their rolls for hours - you are in their league.
@Gidgitgoescrazy
even when you keep saying you're not having great days, somehow you beat everyone in our fitbit bingo game for the month. How did you even get that many steps, distance, or whatever so fast! You are seriously killing it! But yeah, I agree you might need to dial back the food buying if you're getting rid of a whole turkey You are a great inspiration. Even when you go overboard
@MandiSaysHey
A half pound is a half pound. You go, girl!
@ells_runs
You are another one who inspires the rest of us! Crazy busy life, and still racking up the losses whenever you can. 3 pounds in week 2+3! WTG!
@evelynladams527
So glad my evil niece is there egging you on! SWEAT and SORE MUSCLES! That's how it is done! Tell her not to let up. Get out there and do it!
@micki48
My dearest co-captain. You are the heart, the love, and the weird columns for all of us. We are swinging from one stress to another these days - and you and your dear family remind of us how precious our connections are. Thanks for that honesty and openness here. Nothing is more valuable. There is a great Québecois poet named Michel Garneau. His work is SO beautiful - he plays language the way great musical virtuosos play their instruments. He once wrote a poem entitled "La louve" - the she-wolf. Somehow interwoven are his little brother making snow angels and taking great care of them (they are very difficult to raise), the aging she-wolf with snowflakes falling and melting on her muzzle, and how we are all like the snow and must treat each other with great delicacy. Great delicacy. You remind me of that and I thank you.
Oh! @jguldi11
A mere 1.6 pound bounce we do not fret about. Hormones. Peh. You'll get back to "normal" - whatever the heck that is!!!5 -

It's Monday and it felt like a long day. I went to work and it seems like so many staff and students are out on quarantine. It is boring! I have started stealing students from my co workers who are out! Then I stopped at the store and people are hoarding again. Made it home an hour late. Got stuff put away and made dinner. Then I even managed to do my weight session. @micki48 I will be joining you on the chips and dip tonight. I planned ahead and it works 😌 Oh! I got two new bikinis and they are adorable 😍5

Well Monday is a OVER... On to Tuesday !
Yesterday was so frustrating, then after my morning and day at work, I drive all the way to the vets office in horrible traffic to drop off a urine sample, only to get told that it was too old and they couldn't use it... the husband read the instructions wrong, but swears he is right, so that caused a little row, so I was just done... went home and did yoga, it was awesome, and released alot of tension I was holding... It was yoga day, not Strength, so that actually worked out very good....
Today is a better day, got up, did my exercise, have a good attitude... Work is calm, I'm going to go for my 1st walk in just a minute...
@jugar I earn ALOT of activity minutes, basically all of my walking is done as exercise, so I purposely take at the minimum 10 min walks, my work walks are 13 minutes, I earn 30 in the morning doing my video, so it adds up, and the Bingo thing triples your activity minutes, so I earn about 250 a day there, on my exercise days, it doesn't give me minutes for Yoga though only my walks/ videos and strength. so I earn enough to be able to flip tiles that aren't in the pattern, and I got lucky this time and was able to earn some shortcuts... lol
Also did you know the bingo tiles are different for everyone, they are based on your personal info, so if someone averages, 4k steps a day, with only 15 activity min per day, it creates the tiles on that, so someone who averages 10K steps a day, and 60 activity minutes, will have tiles that are alot higher that the person who averages 4k... So it may look like I did ALOT of stuff when you look at your tiles, but that could be because your tiles are alot higher than mine... I just found this info out too, because there was one game where someone knocked it out in like 2 days, and I was like WOW ! but it was probably because she had just increased her activity a great deal and her averages hadn't caught up to the bingo tiles yet.. LOL
Have a GREAT day Everyone , MONDAY IS OVER.... WOOOOOOOOOOO

@micki48 I am so with you on the pandemic fatigue. I am so tired! I also have no idea how I will go back to a normal work schedule if my office ever opens again, because I am SO lazy in the mornings. I literally don't want to get out of bed. I want this whole year to be over. I can't even believe how much has happened in the last 11 months, and we've all just had to keep going along, working, taking care of families, trying to stay healthy, and all of us in this group - also trying to change our LIVES and create habits and lose weight??! Seriously, asking a lot.
I have really struggled this month so far. Yesterday, completely randomly, I ordered Burger King for lunch. I have no idea when I last had BK, which is good in theory, but what was my brain doing?? I of course felt overfull and terrible later. Tried to make up for it with 2 post-work workouts, but the calories were still not pretty. This morning, I was having my normal breakfast, and on top of it, I had four (4!!!) Pringle 100-cal cups. They were supposed to be one for each lunch the rest of this week. OH WELL. I just can't get it together. This time of year is typically like this for me, when holidays come around and it feels silly to try to lose weight on top of everything else, but I still really, really want to reach my year-end goal. I think it is still possible. But something's gotta give here. @jguldi11 and @SMcFall0215 I am also looking into that book haha. I FEEL addicted right now.
Trying to turn Tuesday around. I get to leave work early at 4pm (well, log off early) so I can try to get a Covid test at one of the drive thru places they set up. I was surprised how hard it was to find a place to get a test. I don't have symptoms but I am traveling this weekend to my elderly grandmother's for Thanksgiving and she wants everyone to be clear before coming (very good idea).
Hope you guys are having a better week than me!7 -
After procrastinating a lot, then cooking a lot, I'm finally dropping in here. I didn't even put my fitbit on until after lunch, so I had better do some catching up this afternoon
Sounds like everyone is feeling the grind. It is snowy here today, and I need to go out in it for a while to cool off the feelings of cooped up craziness. I'll be back this evening!3 -
Wednesday weigh in:
CW: 81.9kg
PW: 82.5kgHappy Friday the 13th 2020
I think I'll pretend I'm visiting @coffeetwist in NZ where it is over.
I only just saw this! I'll let you come and visit! I am definitely grateful for our situation in this little country of mine. However, my brother actually lives in Canada, so if this stupid pandemic weren't happening, I'd be happy to be over there to visit him myself, since it's been awhile since I've seen him!
Hope everyone is doing well, My summer semester at uni has just started, which means the beginning of my research proposal, after having a few weeks off school/study and I'm finding it hard getting back into it. My job is starting to feel the end-of-year grind too, so that's been nuts as well. But I'm still going to my gym classes, so I think that's helped a bit with this week's loss, thankfully.6 -

@Kali225 I understand about wanting a covid test before going to your grandmother's. It's in everyone's best interest, for sure! We're getting them, as are both my adult daughters, so they can go see their paternal grandmother next week.
"Turning the day around" was in my cards, too. Yesterday, I was frustrated by having to hang out at the condo I own, waiting for a new stove to be delivered. It never came and nobody called to say why. I called and finally spoke with 2 humans who were able to get information to me. Good grief.
At least my fierce little "personal trainer" was in full gear this afternoon and helped propel us through the long, winding cemetery roads, through a neighboring field, and back through the woods back to the house. It was good for close to 7,000 steps, so, I'm happy with that. It was better than yesterday's long delays!
I'm struggling with an internal "fat shamer". I know where it comes from (thanks, Dad), but when it's aimed at my spouse, it's not very pleasant. Acknowledging that it rears its ugly head every so often, might make it quieter. I sure hope so!
OK...time for a late supper and then stay up for a while to digest before hitting the hay. Whee! I'm happy that annual Board meetings don't take place more than once a year!
Big hugs all around.

I like the idea of days turning around! Especially when lots of waiting for no good reason is involved - turn that stuff around for sure
So, as usual, @coffeetwist has kicked off Wednesday! Good loss this week, Krista - it sounds like you're in the thick of all the things, so keep on track and you'll sail through like a pro.

Work has been overwhelming these last few days. I am part of the management team at a large home furnishing retailer. We have had a handful of positive covid cases at work over the last 2 weeks plus a ton of other people who are out based on contact tracing those cases or being exposed outside of work. The workers who are left are stressed as heck between picking up extra responsibilities to make up for all the people out and then being on edge because we are so busy and they are scared because so many customers do not understand social distancing. it has been tiring. I worked almost 11 hours Sunday and 9.5 today. I am tired. BUT I have managed to still stay under calories all week so far, even including my taco bell binge after work sunday night.5
