I unfortunately can't join the comming zoom meeting. Each Saturday at that time we do weekly grocery shopping and washing them, so won't be home at that time. I hope to be able to join next time.2

Well, 3.3 mph is 18 minutes per mile, which does not add a lot more than the number of steps you did. Really brisk walking 3.5-4 mph counts for around 130 steps per minute, but I'll count this as 120! Normally, steps just count the same as your step counter until your are jogging/running. I know our chart does not take into consideration age, weight, or any other factors, but it is the one that had the best variety of exercises other than stepping. Sorry about that! Elliptical counts higher, but walking is basically equal to the # of steps. So your 60 minutes at 3.3 gets you 7200 steps. If you're curious about our step conversion, here is the chart I use:

Heading towards Saturday! Week 2 ending soon...
I am sure we are all sending all kinds of positive vibes to you and your son @CanadianGiraffe . I cannot imagine how difficult it is what you are going through. And our other Albertan too! @Terytha -- hang in there, girl. Let's hope they figure out this stomach thing once and for all. Don't go back on all your hard work, though! Keep on that good trajectory

I have had a long week. Work has been a bit stressful with the reorg happening plus 2 more positive covid cases in our unit. Thankfully no one on my team was directly exposed.
One of the fellow members of the management team is leaving for a new opportunity so today was her last day and they threw a little going away celebration with lots of goodies and I ate too many cupcakes. Plus Friday nights we always order out and i did not choose a healthy entree tonight so i am WAY WAY over my calorie budget for today. But, back on track tomorrow!!
I also did not hit my 10k steps today at work because I had meetings on and off all day so that combined with the crappy eating has me feeling kind of tired and feeling off tonight.6 -
Steps for 12/10: 6,055
Steps for 12/11: 8,4943 -
Happy Friday to everyone!
I went shopping with my husband and mother in law today. We went to the local plant nursery and gift shop. Lots of pretty stuff and I love walking through the green house and seeing all the interesting plants. Next we went to Costco and got stocked up. I love the big packs of lettuce, avacados and fruit 😋. Filled the fridge and freezer!
We got some snow today so we spent time outside running around with the kids and dogs. I got my exercise! I made 3 batches of gingerbread and I am hoping to make 7 gingerbread houses this year. Each person in the family gets their own house to decorate.6 -
Hugs to @Terytha and @CanadianGiraffe
@conleywoods that sounds idyllic - gingerbread houses to decorate! I love it We haven't had any snow here (South coast of England rarely gets any) but where my family are up in the North they've had some. I can't wait to visit them over Christmas and see everything covered in white (I hope!)
I've had a nice big loss this week -
PW 92.4
CW 90.3
LTD 7.7kg
Very happy about this!
I have a walk planned with friends later today - first time seeing some of them even in a socially distanced outdoor way since pre-Covid days - so I'm really looking forward to that. It means I'm not sure I'll make the Zoom chat but I will log on if I'm back and have eaten dinner in time!7 -

If you are connecting by other means and using the Meeting ID: 835 6416 8532, you will need the Passcode: Fat2Fit
The Fat2Fit passcode should work fine – I have made no changes to the passcode since setting this up and I think that’s where sometimes one can run into trouble- IF on the offchance it doesn’t work – try 9681307

Good morning! Went to bed satisfied last night that my output was greater than my intake and I accomplished another of my pre-winter tasks (nothing like leaving to the last minute) - tractor mower nearly put away and I'll swap it out of the shed for the snowblower. Potentially big snow on Wed. There will be a fair amount of shoveling involved but I can view that as exercise. @jugar surely you must have a calorie translation for snow shoveling!!
Went for my evening walk, not spurts of running but still a good pace, and I really appreciated how beautiful it is to walk at night - easy to see traffic coming, the sky was clear and the stars bright, and all the various light displays and decorations, so nice.
Trying to change my mindset with the holiday food season - I still want to bake more stollen and the cardamom shortbread but I will wait until around the 20th....and then see if I can make it all disappear in a week (not only in my belly!). For now the little mini lebkuchen from Aldi are the perfect size and I'm making room for 2 with a cup of coffee in the mid afternoon.
See you later!

@conleywoods love going to garden centers and greenhouses in winter!2

Congratulations to @spyro88I know you don't weigh in pounds, but you just slipped under 200 pounds to enter ONEDERLAND! You are now at 199.1, and if you can stay below 200 through the end of the month (now that's a challenge ) you'll get a shout-out in our monthly celebrations post. Great way to end the year! Even if you get slightly sidetracked by this month's other celebrations, you'll get right back after the new year, I'm sure. In any case - yay you! Wear the tiara this week6

That's per minute right? that would balance the stollen and shortbread, woohoo1 -

That is per minute indeed! Calories burned depends a lot on peoples' age, weight, etc., so I like the steps per minute thing better. Heavy snow is usually what we get in the first and last snows of the season, so here we go!0 -

REALLY?? I was just kidding - that is great! It changes my whole attitude about shoveling.1 -
Today's 5k was 50.46 slower than last time, but I did it with Toby my big dog, and he started limping in the 2nd mile, luckily it was just a rock stuck in his paw... after that I put his leash around my waist and man did that make a difference, our 3rd mile was under 15 minutes (barely) so all in all I was happy with it... I'll be under 45 minutes next time...
Have a great Saturday, and enjoy your zoom gathering, I'll be there next time...8 -
Hello fitness family!
PW: 188.2
CW: 186.4
Life is so crazy I hardly get on the community part of mfp. I am so glad to at least be able to make weigh ins. It's helping me to stay on track.
As much as we would like them too, babies don't stay small forever. I'll have more time to be a bigger part of the group as time goes on and I look forward to that.7 -

Happy Saturday, Friends!
Sadly I won't be able to join in the Zoom call tonight - maybe next time? Enjoy the call - I'll be thinking of you all.
Girls, I am now hooked on a new passion planner that I bought for myself. Really looking forward to starting it in January.
And a heads up for tomorrow's weigh in - it's not going to be good news, I'm afraid.
