Retail before the holidays...weekends a must...I did seasonal work at C&B - the busyness was a buzz but got home exhausted. We'll catch you on a call another time. Stay well and have a good Sunday.1 -
Hello all,
Yes indeed, the zoom call was fun. We'll propose a variety of different times for the next one and see who could catch it. I think it is worth doing from time to time - just seeing our faces animated and hearing voices is great! We discussed all kinds of things from journals to planning/lists on backs of envelopes, to determination, slow times, and, of course, the weather.
OK - last call for week 2:
@snakagawa11
@FFwife925
@KatherineSkylar99
If you still want to give this a try, please weigh in and let us know how things are going!
Remaining Friday/Saturday:

Shoooot I missed the call. I’ll stick it in the calendar next time!

@CurvyCalorie Don't feel bad. I missed to zoom call too. I totally forgot! Maybe next time.
I'm just getting back on my feet after being really sick for the last two weeks. Tested negative but had most of the covid symptoms. Jeff tested positive with hardly no symptoms. We both have been quarantined. Great time to reflect.
Stay safe and healthy everyone.7 -

Will get my steps in today for sure - calm and 60 degrees and lots to do outdoors before a big snow this week (when I'll get my snow shoveling in). I'll also rummage out my snowshoes today. Ate too many little cookies yesterday - must work on being satisfied with 2. must start reading that book Life is Hard, Food is Easy.3

Steps for the week for me!
Sorry I missed the zoom! I was hoping to make it, but I actually ended up in the car for about 7 hours yesterday on an errand of sorts. Made for a weird Saturday. But I finally got into a podcast (I had avoided them for ages despite the popularity because they remind me of talk radio which reminds me of the motion sickness I get in cars lol) - does anyone listen to My Favorite Murder? It's pretty cool and I was so into the listening, that I ended up walking 1 hr and 50 min last night to finish my steps for the day and then some. Not a great eating day but I was glad I got that walk in, followed by more than an hour of yoga and a good night of sleep.5 -

Lots of intentions and musts in there! The easiest one will be the shoveling - if it snows, you'll have to do it! Maybe a few of us could read that book together and report our thoughts as we go or something. Cookies? I like that they are little. Put 2 on a little plate? Make yourself drink a nice astringent green tea or sweetfern or linden tea afterwards? I find that sometimes kills the urge to keep on going. And yes to the snowshoes!! Some day I WILL get you up here - it is only about 5 hours from Boston2 -

Congrats Team Waistaways for being over 70% this week!! You guys rock!!
The Green Challenge Percentage of people who lost weight this week. No matter how small the loss the weights are recorded in green. Remember that even if your team doesn’t rank the highest in weight loss for the week you can still be the Green Percentage winner by having the most losses in your team! So keep it up!!3 -
Quick check in because I need to go take a walk. Spent most of the early part of my day signing up for healthcare. Deadline is Tuesday. Still basking in the fun Zoom party yesterday. Thanks ladies. I hear you in my head. Not enough time on the weekend for all I need to do. Even though I had a .1 gain yesterday, I am down .7 today. That's why you can't let a gain get to you. We fluctuate so much.
My steps this week were a big improvement over last week. Hit my goal most days. And speaking of steps...LAST CALL FOR WEEK 2 STEPS!!! I WILL BE CALCULATING WINNERS TONIGHT2 -

Friday was our work Christmas celebration, what we could do of it. There was a LOT of food, so I'm not surprised the scale jumped.1 -
Well done, team! We had a great week. I gotta go update steps and get back a bit later to catch up.

Well, well. I missed the zoom-session. Sorry about that! I had made a note in my calendar and then found myself at my daughter's apartment and just visited with her instead. I look forward to jumping on next time.
I'm spending time at my desk writing notes and Christmas cards. I get easily distracted and bogged down but, I'm still plugging away anyway. I find the same thing happening with my daily food diary. I'll get back into the swing of it and it'll be good to be back on track. In the meantime, I'll have more water before I go to bed and look forward to a good long walk tomorrow. Oh, I'm also going to have a "meet and greet" with a woman who lives a mile or so away who is looking for a sitter for her puppy. A 4.5-month old "Running walker/blue-tick hound". I *love* hounds! I was able to rationally discuss the idea of doing this short-term job, ask questions, and clarify expectations prior to meeting them tomorrow. The best "pro", of course, is increased exercise. We'll see how it goes tomorrow.
Have a good night, everyone!4 -

@micki48 - it sounds like you needed a good walk as an antidote to spending a half a day signing up for healthcare. That does not sound like fun - I hope the walk was wonderful. Your steps certainly have been wonderful! You should also add on the step equivalent when you do your Pilates
@evelynladams527 - we did miss you on the zoom call, but it will happen again! Puppy sitting sounds like a great way to get out and walk more. Let's just hope it is not one of those incorrigible hounds who just takes off after a scent and dislocates your shoulder I hope it works out well.
I did not leave my house at all today - that almost never happens, but I did not even go out to empty the compost bowl or the ashes from the wood stove. It was weird, but kind of cozy just to stay inside. I walked a lot in the house, though, and had a good cycle session through an exciting episode of Borgen. Denmark is pretty flat, so I get in a lot of miles :

Hello everyone! I hope you've all had a nice weekend. I worked all weekend but it wasn't too bad, and I enjoyed seeing some friends at church this morning. I stayed well within my calorie goal today and yesterday so hoping for a good weigh in tomorrow despite a couple not so great days this week.5

It's the end of the weekend and it came too soon! It was a great weekend overall but maybe a few too many cookies. I baked one of my favorites, snickerdoodle, so it's my own fault. I have been making a conscious effort to eat more fruits and vegetables lately. I took today off from logging but kept a mental note of what I had eaten. Yesterday I did ballet and took a short walk in the woods looking for a cell phone that got lost on a bike ride. We found it! Today was a lazy day. I did laundry and a little bit of knitting and took my nature walk for the weekly challenge.
I have been waiting to order some of the workout clothes from my ballet website. They aren't cheap and I was worried it wouldn't fit me. I waiting for the black Friday sales and took the plunge. My leg warmers and wrap top fit perfectly! I opened the leotard and it was so small. Like itsy bitsy tiny. I was devastated 😢 there's no way it will fit. I was so sad but decided I better double check the tag since the other stuff fit great. Relief! It was a medium but I ordered an extra large. Phew, just have to exchange it for the correct size.
@jugar @eggfreak @PlaneMonkey and @micki48 You guys had some books that you were either wanting to read or started. I would be interested in a book study. Now that it's chilly out, reading sounds like a great idea. It would be fun to do some zoom book study stuff!7 -
Good morning all! And well done to the team, wow! I'm VERY excited that I had an honourable mention haha. Spurs me on to keep going.
Sorry I missed the Zoom call - I ended up out walking on the seafront with friends quite late which was really lovely, but meant we had a late dinner too. It was so nice to see people in the flesh - one of them lives in the same town but I hadn't seen since March!
So it's been a pretty nice weekend, wrapping up christmas presents and doing a few festive things! I was a little over calories yesterday but hope to make up for that today by being more careful and squeezing in a trip to the gym. It's my last two working days before the Christmas break so I am super excited (I love Christmas )3 -
