@jugar sorry for the late weigh in!
PW 210.4
CW 210.0
LTD 34 lbs
@conleywoods Canada smells like gingerbread, pine trees, and maple syrup. Great combination.3 -
Good morning! I’m lying in bed, catching up on the threads from the week. What a busy team! It’s snowing like crazy (I can see it falling even without my much-needed glasses on)!
We’re going to use the snow shoes in a while. It’ll give me time to put on Sarah’s snow pants. They’ll be impossibly long (1’ height difference), but at least I won’t get wet.
@jugar going to skip weigh in this week
I hope you’re having a great time with your girl home! More soon.

Yesterday was good, I got snacky in the evening, but stayed in calories...
This morning I did 20 minutes of hiit, and 20 min aerobics video... We had some snow , then rain, then more snow, then freezing temps, so it was a big ole sheet of Ice this morning, I went in an hour late, and had a bit more time to exercise this morning... BUT.... last week after my 5k, the next day my calf/ankles were really sore, it went away, until I did my video today, my right calf is killing me, it's so sore, I didn't do anything odd, so I'm not sure why, so I am going to work on some calf stretches, and maybe some running form videos.. LOL I'm pretty sure thats what it is, I tweaked something cause I just do everything awkwardly, and I don't stretch and warm up properly... So gotta work on that.. I guess I will have to decide if I am going to risk it and do the 5k Christmas morning, or be a good girl and wait till it stops and move a little more slowly towards it...
Have you guys ever tried Built bars ? They are protein bars in the best flavors they are really good...
Anyway, Hope you guys have a great day !3 -

Darn, no charge. It was lower a few days ago but Tuesday we had cheeseburgers and fries with chocolate shakes. I felt terrible the next day. I guess my stomach is not used to that kinda food anymore. That's a good thing. I will have to make my own cheeseburgers from now on.4 -
Whew! Thursday and things are hopping around the team. Yes!
My daughter arrived from Alberta last night - and we have been nonstop gabbing ever since. She just went out to pick up some take-out sushi (can't find any in Wainwright, Alberta!) so I have a minute to get in here and see how you all are doing.
@Terytha - it really sounds like maintenance for a bit is a good idea. Whenever you're just starving all the time, that is what you need to do. I'll keep you in the regular team anyhow - don't want to lose your good record for the month so far when we do the month's final!
@conleywoods - the answer is yes. Canada smells like gingerbread. At least it does at my house right this minute I have a fabulous gluten free spice cake that I make for my husband, and it just happened to be in the oven when I read your post! So yes. I can be very sure about that.
@CurvyCalorie - I'm hoping @micki48 's hip is ok! My buttock is still awaiting surgery, so the hip just feels a bit wonky from having to sit weirdly. I am heading out for some more walking now to get off of the thing!
@Gidgitgoescrazy - you are right to stretch that calf! Take it from the oldest of the older ladies in the group - you need to stretch those puppies more and more. And no, I have never tried Built bars, but I'll put them on a future shopping list. After I lose the weight I'm about to gain while my daughter is here and we make homemade pizza, Christmas breads, drink some eggnog.........6 -

I am NOT a fan of working from home, but tomorrow is my last day for 2 weeks! Then we have 2 more weeks of remote learning before we hopefully go back to in person. I started my day with oatmeal, but ended up really busy so I just grabbed snacks between meetings. I didn't have time to workout for the second day in a row. Tomorrow is another day.
@MandiSaysHey thanks for the support. Do you live in Chicago or outside? My husband is from Palatine and still has a lot of friends and family there.
@conleywoods I miss the Gingerbread Men this year. I created lots of fun activities for this week. We did a Polar Express scavenger hunt, Santa Says, Christmas I spy, hidden pictures, and an inferncimg game for who stole Santa's cookies....but it's not the same as in person.

@KellyBgetsfit I hope you get to go back to in person soon. We have stayed in person so far and done okay for the most part. This is such a fun time of year for students and I'm sure remote just isn't the same. One more day!
@PlaneMonkey and @jugar Thanks for confirming that Canada does indeed smell like gingerbread 😀 That is wonderful! I've only been to hot springs up in Canada or fly fishing and neither smell like gingerbread. Obviously I need to get out more!
My Christmas break starts tomorrow and I am thrilled. I have not worked out since Monday. I am wore out! Hopefully I can sleep in tomorrow and get my groove back.
@Gidgitgoescrazy Take care of that tight calf! Great dedication to your exercise routine. I am starting to feel like you have been in an interview for a long time. Hopefully you will hear good news soon!
@jugar Enjoy having your daughter around!2 -

No surprises. I ate my emotions this week and did not work out. My biggest fear is getting stuck in a funk for weeks/months as I find it very hard to climb out of. I hope I can get back on quickly, before I undo all my hard work.6 -
I feel like I’ve been on track for the first time in a long while. It’s a little present for myself 🎁

@conleywoods I love the funnies. Great way to start my day! LOL
Nice job @Steph1498
It's FRIDAY!!! Woot Woot!! Have a great day everyone!

Wow! I was sure I posted yesterday. Gives you an idea of my day. I did not. But I did read the posts. Oops!
I ate everything yesterday. Was not mindful at all. Just grazing on whatever needed eating. 😐
Took a walk to see beautiful lights in our neighborhood. Hip is slowly getting better. As long as I don’t do extended standing, I’m ok. I guess that helps the cookie situation.
Great loss @happimess01 You are amazing!!
Got to run. I’ll check back in later.2 -

Yesterday was my birthday and we have leftover cake and tomorrow I am celebrating with my best friend so I have chosen to take a few days off from logging. i will still weigh in Monday, hopefully it wont be too bad.6

Happy birthday yesterday, @MandiSaysHey
Friday is happening, and it is WAY too quiet in the house. I think my daughter is still in a different time zone. I want to make noise!
@pearl4686 and anyone else who is going through some slippage right now (including me) - we will NOT let this be an excuse to give up, get discouraged, keep on listening to the trigger foods, or anything else. We will enjoy it for a defined period of time. We will then make sure we have a plan, get on it, and stay on it together and things will get back to where they belong. Right? During the last week of December, we will work on our personal plans. We got this!7 -

See? I've had abs all along...they're just a little shy with an extra covering over them. haha!
A lot of the snow we had in the driveway was shoved towards the path at the edge of the yard towards the former walking path to the cemetery. I don't think I'll even get through on snowshoes...it's just too deep and also has pockets like sand holes. Very odd.
It makes for a good group activity so, when Monica is back from seeing Emily, we'll go out.
In the meantime, the sun is so gorgeous, I'll go outside for a walk in the neighborhood. I'll get some pics to download in a while.
@jugar we'll chat later this evening, yes? Can't wait to hear Phoebe's voice and yours too, of course!1 -
So here's a plan.
Tomorrow we're bringing in our bottles to the depot and using that money for the last of the holiday grocery shopping. We have 17-18 giant bags. I'm not proud of that, but it should fund some fancy wine lol.
Then I'm making Nanaimo bars. I'm subbing out sugar for sweetener because cutting out 4 cups of icing sugar calories is just a good idea generally.
On Sunday we'll build the gingerbread house that is actually an oreo cookie house because neither of us like gingerbread. I'll share pictures. It's sure to be terrible and fun.
Then I'm away from work until the New Year so I will attempt to bring my shoulders down from around my ears, breathe, relax, and have a merry Christmas and a fun New Year so I can ditch this last 20 lbs in 2021.5 -

Happy Friday, Friends!
Thank you so much for your well wishes for my little pooch, Edie! She's feeling much better now, the drops seem to have brought her back to normal. She's a little dog with a lot of character - like all terriers. Her lineage is uncertain - she was a rescue dog that we fell in love with 11 years ago - but she's mostly Jack Russell. The rescue home called her Edie after Edith Piaf, the late and great diminutive French singer, and we thought that it suited her perfectly so we kept her name.
Our son jokes that we were so unprepared for empty nesting that we got her the week after he left for university. He's not wrong!
Well I've spent the past few days decorating the house for Christmas and getting ready for my mum to join us on Sunday - I think she's going to like it.
Anyway, that's enough waffle for now - have a good night, everyone!

This might give you an idea of how much snow we got yesterday - Sarah is 6' 2" tall!8 -
Happy Friday!
I spent all day baking all the pieces for the gingerbread houses. We will have our annual decorating party but it will just be us and my in laws. We will have a total of 7 houses. We usually do partners but we each get our own house this year. We don't eat ours because they are rock hard. Don't worry 😉 we each each a mountain of candy in the process. 😆 LOL
@Terytha I would love to see the oreo house!3 -
