@micki48 sorry to hear your son in law tested positive. Hopefully he recovers quickly and no one else gets sick!3

Steps for today 17,406
We normally have a big family get together for Christmas eve, but we are skipping it this year. And then my brother and his wife wont be coming in from Colorado this year either. So it will just be me and my son and my mom who lives with us.
Tomorrow I will go grocery shopping and stop to get a frame for a custom print I ordered for my best friend and his husband for Christmas. Hopefully wrapping the last few gifts I have and then going to church in the evening.
Thursday we plan to just have a lazy day celebrating at home together with all our fav snacky/appetizer foods to munch on all day with no real meals. And watching Christmas movies at night. Christmas day will be cinnamon rolls for breakfast, opening gifts, and then we typically spend the day playing any games that were received as gifts and lasagna for dinner.
I will not log on Christmas eve or day, but will try to be mindful.3 -
I can’t say it feels like Christmas for me, even when my decor is up, songs were played all day yesterday, Christmas wine is flowing, the presents are wrapped... I might need to drag out the Christmas sweater.
@micki48 so sorry to hear about your SIL. Hope everyone is feeling alright and will be praying for your family.3 -

I blame the mass amounts of cookies we've received for Christmas! It is a relief to not have gone back to 230 which I seemed to be hovering around for a good month, so it marks progress! :-)7 -

Go for it. We'll all get back on track soon!Hi friends! Well, I worked outside getting ready for our backyard Christmas celebration tomorrow feeling a bit like Martha Stewart finally coming to terms with this adjustment to our "normal" Christmas.
Then, at dinner time, my son in law called from his car in our driveway to say that his Covid test was positive. We have been together every day and eat together every day. Plus, we watch the baby who is with him all the time. The nurse we spoke to said, enjoy your dinner, the damage is done. We have to get tested tomorrow. But, worse, now I can't even see my son and his gf in the yard. It's so hard to be separated for so long. I miss him so so much. We will zoom each day. He now wants to make sure that we are ok. My SIL seems fine, but may have mild symptoms he mistook for something else. I know we are all dealing with this strange, pandemic Christmas, and we still have much to be grateful for. I am feeling fine, but after hearing the news of his positive, felt terrible. Stress and anxiety has a terrible way of feigning all sorts of terrible things. I'm sure we'll be fine, but if you are so inclined, keep us in your thoughts and prayers.
Talk to you later. M

I know they might not be wonderful, but don't worry - you'll have company there I have not dared weigh myself for a few days now, and I'm actually afraid of what it might be on Friday morning when I have to record it. That has not happened in a long time, but I'm not worried for the longer term. Having time enjoying all kinds of food for a couple of weeks is not going to have a permanent effect. The shower bouncer will move back in, and will also be invited to be my meal critic for a while. And logging enforcer. And eyebrow-raiser-of-doom. Everyone needs one of those sometimes, right?1 -

@PlaneMonkey Click on the landscape icon. In the drop down, click the camera icon. Then you will see a list. Pick the picture you want then hit select at the top. Next a little blue bar will show above your comment section. Sometimes it won't load 😕 but if it does you will see a bunch of gibberish in the comment box. Good luck! Sometimes the problem is just MFP, not you.3 -
I think I am done tracking calories until Saturday. Too many temptations and treats around 🤭 It is such a fun time of year but rough on the diet.
Today was house work in the morning. Then we took the kids on a long walk to go see the little creek. It was ice but still had water running underneath. Beautiful and sunny all day! The kids went to grandma's for a sleepover. DATE NIGHT! Woo-hoo! Hubby and I drove around with coffee and looked at lights. Then I made a copy cat dinner from a favorite ramen restaurant. Tempura vegetables and shrimp and an udon soup 🍲 😋 yummy! Now we're relaxing and probably going to have some icecream. 😌
Have a great night!8 -
@conleywoods that sounds like a wonderful date night and a yummy dinner!1

I stayed well under calorie budget today but didn't get as many steps as I would've liked. I am looking forward to the next 2 days, I love seeing people open gifts. This year just my son and my mom, but it will still be nice.
Also, "Santa" is bringing the Ring Fit Adventure nintendo switch game for me and my son to share. If you havent heard of it, it is an interactive exercise game for the switch. For example, to make your character run in the game, you have to jog in place. I thought it would be a fun way to be active in the house when the weather isnt good to be outside. Hopefully it gets used because it was a little pricey.7 -

Tis the season, I suppose. Merry Christmas Eve, friends! I hope you all you have a wonderful few days, even if it doesn't look the way it usually does.
@planemonkey my phone does not allow me to upload photos or MFP doesn't let me from my phone. I do all the steps mentioned above and it doesn't ever populate.🤷♀️2 -
Happy Christmas Eve Everyone, I got THE JOB ! I don't get an official offer letter till Monday, so on Tuesday I get to break the news to my boss... I'm so excited...
Yesterday was okay, I did get up and exercise, then had errands to run all morning, and it took longer than expected, then I spent the afternoon doing last minute shopping\ lunch with 2 of my children, it was the 2 who don't live at home so it was really nice to spend time with them, I got my white elephant gift.. I bought a book for it, it's a self help book.. LOL they are gonna hate me... So that means I went to the book store and walked away with about 7-8 books for myself..
I got up this morning and took the dogs on a quick walk/jog before the rain started, it drizzled on us most of the time, but atleast it's out of the way. I am going to do some hiit after I post this, then it's time to clean the house, do the laundry and make the pasta salad. When I have stuff like this to do before a holiday, I seem to get ADHD, by house kinda explodes, and I flit from one thing to the next without finishing the 1st, and it becomes a viscous cycle, my hubby and kids kinda stay outta my way, and just kinda laugh at me.. but in the end everything gets done, so thats all that really matters...
I hope you all have a wonderful day, even if it's not the same as before, I hope you find a way to make it special !

Happy Thursday and Christmas Eve! Best warm wishes to all of you - we finally got a tree up and decorated yesterday. The tree cutter is always a bit slow... he has to find just the right one that needs thinning anyhow, and then he cuts off just the top few feet of it to bring in. It was all covered with snow, so it had to sit and drip for a few hours, but then we got 'er done! It is chaotic and beautiful, as always when my daughter and I decorate. Of course, eggnog and cookies were consumed.
I'm really impressed with those of you who had a loss this week! Miracle or not, you rock.
Enjoy a peaceful day!3 -

About par for 2020!3 -
Good morning, lovelies! Well, it's been a great big stress ball around here lately. Luckily, my daughter, husband, and I were able to get tested yesterday through our doctor's practice. They have their own "machinery" to test the results and we got them in about 2 hours. We are all negative! Which is wonderful but weird since we were all together when he was most contagious. My granddaughter was supposed to be tested today, but dd cancelled it since they would have to go inside the covid hospital. It's just not worth it to put her through that and risk more infection. She talked to a nurse who agreed and said just watch her for symptoms. She's fine. Not that you want to hear all the details of our life, but now we can't decide how to proceed. Any other time would be fine to be separate, but to not see each other and the little one on Christmas is hard, especially since we've already been together during SIL's most contagious period and were negative. Gah! So many feelings. So many tears.
So I tried to find some semblance of normalcy and blasted some John Legend Christmas music and made up a cookie tray as big as it would be if everyone was here. Potato salad is next as we try to figure out if we are going to eat together or not. They have all the food we bought at their house so we might just be eating potato salad if we don't get together. LOL JK.
Anyway, I am trying to be grateful and realize that we are fortunate. Many, many people are in much dire circumstances. We are just not getting what we necessarily want. My heart truly goes out to all those suffering in hospitals and at home, their loved ones who cry tears of uncertainty and those who are truly alone this Christmas. I wish I could hug you all. (I am a big hugger! But respect other's preferences. ) Wishing you all the peace of spirit to enjoy this season. So glad I am on this ride with all of you as we skid into 2021 hoping for a return to some sort of normalcy. Happy Holidays to all of you!!!!

PS Way to go on these losses! I am so impressed!!!

This weigh in was brought to you by cookies, cookies, gum drops, chocolate, ice cream, salty food, a looming time of the month...and even more cookies. Son of a @#!÷&.
Well that was not a fun number to see but not a shock by any means. I have been enjoying the sugar a little too much. Even days I am within my calorie are still little gains. Not used to all the sugar! Hopefully it slides off when it's business as usual starting this Saturday.
@micki48 Glad you and hubby are negative! Is your SIL false positive 🤔 It's amazing the rest of you are okay. Decisions, decisions ...tough spot for you my dear. Hugs!
Today is baking more cookies. Sugar cookies and chocolate chip. Then a double feature. Charlie Brown Christmas and Polar Express. The kids sprinkle magic reindeer food outside and ring bells before heading to bed. Should be a fun day!
Merry Christmas friends ❤3 -
