    ✅ 15,000 steps - 15,300
❌ calorie deficit - Don't think I went over maintenance - will log it all after this morning's walk.
✅ 7 hours sleep - 9:50-7:17 (fitbit counted 8h 27m) barely stayed away that late yesterday - very hot out - lots of feeding people (a good amount of eating too) - lots of excitement left Laurie a very tired girl - who was smart enough to go to bed, rather than try to eat my way through the fatigue. Major victory.

Logged yesterday's feast - as it is logged I'm under maintenance (per Fitbit numbers) but a lot of the food was hard to accurately log because I was cooking and eating without measuring. I'm going to consider it a day at maintenance and a relative success. I went into the day with no particular restrictions in mind. It was okay. I learned another thing - no more ice cream cake because you can't send the leftovers home with people on a hot summer day. Or - if there is - I will do the slicing and I'll make sure there is no more than 1 slice leftover. Otherwise the cake will be divided between all - and if they don't want to eat all of their slice - fine - we flush it! But at worst I will be left with one slice of ice cream cake to enjoy after everyone leaves and everything is cleaned up. I will be happy with that bit of indulgence.

    ✅ calorie deficit - 1,296
    ✅ 7 hours sleep - 10:14-6:14 (fitbit counted 7h 2m)

I'm so lonely in this thread.... :/

    2/3👍

Calories about 100 higher than I would like them to be.

Currently, while using the 90 day premium trial on Fitbit, keeping an eye out as to whether nighttime skin temperature being up or down correlates at all with being in a surplus or deficit.

If'n I'm readin this correctly. I really think it should be "3/3👍" - probably a few that didn't get counted because you were holding something!

Sept 1 - A fresh new month :) I really wanted to be a bit lighter than I am on this momentous day, but I will channel PAV and find satisfaction in being lighter than I was on August 1. :)

    ✅ 15,000 steps - 15,461
    ✅ calorie deficit - 1,399
    ✅ 7 hours sleep - 10:40-6:43 (fitbit counted 7h 28m)

I always need more sleep because I don’t go to bed until around 2 every morning….most of the time I am up by 8 or 9…. I do this for weeks until I crash and sleep an entire afternoon….I actually took a nap today so I probably won’t sleep much tonight….

Unhappy walking hamsters for September 1 with 13.6 inspite of an attempt at a late come back.

At least we're setting up Thursday to not be a disaster! 🤯

:| close but no cigar, PAV. That is okay, cigars are bad for you.

    Sept 1

✅ 15,000 steps - 19,574 thank goodness for these extra steps - because there was way too much eating at dinner last night (and a glass of wine, and a mojito - thank goodness the mint and the rum will be gone soon). .
✅ calorie deficit - 730 - fitbit deficit which I think means about at maintenance. Thank goodness for those steps.
✅ 7 hours sleep - fell asleep with the boy, woke up for awhile, went back to bed x 2 - completely confused fitbit, but I'm pretty sure I got close to 8 hours last night.

My fitbit tells me that i fell asleep about 8:05 last night and I would say thats about right :D

we put the livestock up at 630, well, hubby went to do it, I went in the bedroom about a quarter till 7, he came in and needed me to come examine a snake to see what kind it was (i put the whole conversation on my wall this morning, ill put it here too just for the laugh- look guys, hes from canada. they dont have snakes there. and ummm some of my language might be censored in here LOL), and then we went to bed, watched our show, and off to dreamland thanks to pharmaceutical companies (for me, anyway)

anyway, welcome to the world that is my MFP wall...

Hubby: good, youre not in bed yet. Do you think you can come out to the old chicken coop for a minute?
me: why? who's sick? thought no one was using that coop after the massacre?
hubby: chickens arent using it. no ones sick. snake.
    me: kill it.
hubby: i dont know what kind it is.
me: all the more reason. if in doubt ....
hubby: auntie brown is broody in there and on eggs

(auntie brown is one of our ducks )

me: good or bad, its gonna go after those eggs, and if bad and the guardians come across it, theyre liable to get hurt or worse. I dont exactly have anti venom on hand. I've asked the vet. he wont give it to me. *kitten*.
    hubby: .....

5 minutes later, I'm in the old coop (modified old small barn)

    me: where is this thing?

hubby lifts up the old hay feeder carefully. I can see a snake coiled up but its dark, so cant see any detail on it.

me: want to give me some light maybe?

    he turns on the flashlight

me: for *kitten* sake, its just a rat snake, hun
hubby: are you SURE? its HUGE
me: yes im sure. they get big you know. plenty of mice around here and hes probably why we havent been getting many duck eggs! Get me a bucket and a lid
hubby: how are you going to get it in there. dont get bit! the only ER youll go to is almost 2 hours away!
me: just get me a bucket and a lid. even if this thing bites me i wont have to go to the ER

plop the bucket upside down on mr harmless rat snake, use the lid to scoop up the hay under him and flip and snap lid shut.

me: take it down to the bridge and let him out by the creek.

My city boy husband, y'all.... he wasnt even that big. maybe 3-4' long. I've certainly seen bigger around here but wasn't going to tell him that. He may look like a hippy farmer but sometimes the city boy comes out, bless his heart LOL

    Sept 2

✅ 15,000 steps - 23,896 got the Boy on the rail trail today - (with, coincidently the lure that we might see some snakes...lol) he loves it there, though he always resists until we step under the canopy of trees and enter the magical space).
    ✅ calorie deficit - 1,253
❌ 7 hours sleep - 2:12 to 8:43 (fitbit counted 5hr 52m) Stayed up working after the Boy went home. Snacked a bit, but managed not to rally overeat! have to remember that will put me in the danger zone today.

✅ 7 hours sleep - 10:17 to 8:08 (fitbit counted 8hr 56m) Caught up, but feeling pretty groggy and draggy this morning after some pizza and lava cake nonsense lastnight. :/ Hopefully out of the danger zone today.

    24! Woohoo. Happy happy Hamsters!

My hamsters are feeling challenged now. Maybe tomorrow morning we'll push that rail trail a bit - or down to the bay. Hmm. Haven't been there in awhile.

You have stirred the walking beasts, PAV.
