I don't think you're being crazy. We are all at different spots with the pandemic. It's better not to walk with her if you are going to be anxious. I was more anxious before, but I'm feeling better now that I'm vaccinated. I know about the variants, and I'm worried about them but I trying to stay relaxed for right now. We will all have times when we are more concerned. Go with your gut feeling!1

I have not been tracking the last 4 days and thus eating poorly. It's amazing how tracking helps - you realize when you are majorly overeating.
I spent the day with my elderly mom yesterday which is why I didn't get many steps. I have to drive an hour and a half to see her. I took her to the house where she was born (a farm) and had her give a little talk about her life there. Then we went to the next house she lived at as a child and she talked about her life there. We went to 5 different places. It was a lot of fun. Now I have to compile it into a video to share with my siblings and my kids. I'm going to try Vimeo. I have never used that website, but I have seen it used. I hope it's not too difficult.
I haven't ridden my bike the last few days, but I'll try to get it in tomorrow. It was a busy weekend.
We had marvelous weather this weekend. I hope everyone was able to enjoy the spring weather!

I'm happy about the loss. I've mostly just been eating tons of fruit which I love. Things are fine, but a little lonely and boring because of Covid. Not much to report.
@363days - I forgot last time to comment on your comment about FODMAPS. Just rmember that this diet is only specifically for people with IBS. All fruits are vegetables are good for you, but if you have IBS you need to avoid ones with high FODMAPS. However, if you don't have IBS all veggies and fruits are great for you.3 -
@lcfa5317 - I agree that logging is really critical. It's very hard to keep track of what you are eating just by trying to keep track mentally. It sounds like you had a wonderful visit with your mom and that is a great idea to share a video of your mom with your siblings. Super idea!
@azkunk - Sorry to hear about your elevated kidney labs. I'm glad you and your doctor are looking into it and looking for a solution.
@363days - That situation with your dog does sound scary! I'm glad you are okay and that in the end you found your dog fairly quickly.
@iradi8 -Sounds like a really busy, but happy week. Glad your son is home and he sounds really happy. I think your crawfish boil sounds awesome. I have seen your diary on the main page and you always seem to log very meticulously. I think you are doing great!2 -

Hi all, here for Monday check in. Managed to get 2 weight sessions and walking in this week.
Came across a decent recipe hack for pancakes on a Instagram reel where you crack and weigh the egg and then whatever that is, you add in the exact same amount of milk and plain flour alongside 1/2 tsp baking powder and vanilla extract and fry in a pan using low cal cooking spray i.e frylight 1 cal per spray.
Granted, they aren't that tall and fluffiest pancakes ever (pics are deceiving), but gives you an imitation of them for less calories. For 47-49g ingredients (without toppings) it's been approx 272-283 cals and got 4 pancakes out of each batch. Next time I may try using self raising flour to see if get taller ones.
Here's some photos of the food made this weekend.
1st one: 1 piece of melted dark chocolate spread over the top of the pancakes then cooked down 80g frozen forest fruit mix
2nd one: 1 tsp of biscoff spread, spread over top of some of the pancakes, cooked 111g apple down with 1 tsp of light brown sugar, 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon and bit of water, drizzled over 1 piece of melted dark chocolate.
3rd one: 1 Greek style flatbread pitta, spread on 1tbsp tomato puree, chopped up 1 salad tomato, 50g chestnut mushroom and 12g spring onion, 50g grated mozzarella, added 1 grilled halloumi burger (just plain cheese) and drizzled over 1tbsp sweet chilli sauce.
4th one:
1 Greek style flatbread pitta, spread on 1tbsp bbq sauce, chopped up 7g spring onion, 1 salad tomato, 25g chestnut mushroom, sprinkled with 23g grated mozzarella, added 1 grilled halloumi burger (just plain cheese) and drizzled over 1tbsp sweet chilli sauce.
I also tried some halo top choc chip cookie dough ice cream and heated up a fiber one cookies and cream bar for 20 seconds in the microwave, so was a little like having cake and icecream for a lot less calories.
Have a great week everyone!6 -

It was nice to see my parents and for my kids to hang out with their cousins. They definitely missed each other over these couple of weeks of everyone being sick. They are also here for the day so getting lots of cousin time in. It didn't work out yesterday for dad and I to get our boxing in so when we got home last night I walked on the treadmill while my husband and I watched a volleyball game. It took an hour to hit my steps for the day. It felt great to work out again, my body missed it. My calves and thighs were tight when I got done, probably from working hard after doing nothing for a week, so I did some easy stretching. I was hoping to not be sore when I woke up. I think it worked for the most part. I'm hoping to get in a dance sometime today, hopefully at school/nap time.4 -

@red1185
Weekends are definitely tougher but you did great taking the dog out to get those extra steps.
@lcfa5317
You are right tracking is so important. I like to track in advance so I know what I have to play with in extra calories. Sounds like you had a nice day with your Mom!
@lelbarou
Awesome loss and your steps for yesterday are great!
@mszoueb
Another great week! Your food looks amazing! You are keeping things interesting and losing weight.
@Tazaria87
I like that you always find a way to reach your step goal. Stretching is something I need to do more of. I always forget and end up so sore the next day.

Weekly Goals
Weights 2x/wk:
Bike 3x/wk✔️
Walk 5x/wk: ✔️
After the kids went home yesterday I decided to jump on the bike to get ahead start on my weekly goals. I was able to spend longer on the bike because I didn’t pedal like crazy as I was doing before. Hopefully, I can continue to increase little by little.
I am running behind today as I been on the phone trying to straighten out the mess the dental office made with the cost of my husbands dentures. So I have nothing done yet today. I am going to grab a quick lunch and get a walk in before I start my cleaning. I was hoping to get on the bike again today but I don’t think I will have enough time before I have to start supper.
Have a great day!

Haven’t had a step day like this in a long time! Party was a huge success! I was exhausted after getting up early. Hopefully all these steps helps counteract the pizza I ate. I need to not do anymore kids entertaining this usually this is the easiest meal for them and I end up eating more than I want to.5 -

Saw my primary physician for a follow up. She said the weight loss was most likely flushing out all the iv fluid. Also scheduling an injection test to determine the amount of pituitary hormone that I produce. She wasn't crazy about the fact that my first Covid vaccination was today but I am considered too high risk to delay it.
Vaccination went well and I feel fine. Staying close to home tonight to be on the safe side.
Today the hospital where Kevin died had a celebration of life for all the passed Covid patients and recovered patients. They gave red roses in honor of the dead to the staff and yellow roses in honor of the survivors and observed a moment of silence.2 -
Welcome to our team @shawnamee1 and @roz0810!
@rlaskey2
I’m glad the party was such a success! Pizza certainly is an easier option, and honestly, there’s nothing wrong with eating pizza! So long as we don’t eat pizza everyday, stuff like that in moderation helps us stay on track (instead of restricting it all together, then rebounding bad!)
@beautyofdreams
I’m glad you were able to get your vaccine today. It sounds like the hospital did a very nice job of honouring Kevin. I’m sure it wasn’t easy for you. I hope overall it was a positive experience for you.

So yah, I’ve been very silent the last week or so. I guess I needed that. I had a very productive weekend, and had a great appointment with my psychologist today. I talked to her about the fact I’ve been hovering within the same 10 pounds for the last 4 months. I recognize that given all the stress this winter, plateauing is actually something to celebrate. In the past, I would have gained, and I would have gained a lot. So, yes, it is a success. BUT, I am at month-four, so I expressed I needed some help to reignite my spark/motivation. Much of my motivation comes from feeling my clothes get bigger on me, and going to the next size down. I also love the feeling that I can physically do more. We developed a bit of a plan to get me started so I can start seeing those results again. This week, I have to run to the dollar store, and get some vases (or something like that), and getting some marbles… Once I have things all figured out, I’ll share my plan!6

Welcome @roz0810 and @shawnamee1
@Beautyofdreams I'm so very sorry to hear that. It sounds like it was a beautiful way to memorialize and honor the patients who had/have COVID. We need this to be over. Keep staying strong.
@heatherbluebell That's very good to hear, about your appointment. You sound rejuvenated. You are looking at this plateau in a positive light, which is the only way to look at it. Keep working the plan. The plateau will pass and you will come out of it, stronger and healthier.
@lindamtuck2018 Yayyyy! Longer time on the bike. Sounds like a great ride.

So nice to hear that the hospital had a celebration of life for those patients. Glad to hear you got your vaccine. Why wasn't the doctor happy to hear that you got it?
