Whew! Made it back down to PW.
Happy Resurrection Day to any believers!
I did my first 6 mile run since October, & I managed to not slip off any curbs. 😊. It was a beautiful morning.4 -
@Terytha wow size 8, amazing!!
@micki48 an impressive loss this week!!
So pleased for you both!
I missed 3 days of checking in, so had a quick scroll through 42 messages. Congrats to all other losers too and well done team for coming first!
I fell off the wagon for a few days, mostly on a lot of chocolate received as a gift. I don't buy any but when it's just sitting there, I can't help myself. I know I can, I can, I just need to do it!
So today I gave the kids a lot of expensive chocolate, but there is still a lot sitting there, looking at me. Sigh...5 -

Well, my home made habit trackers have definitely been working.
I'm actually at the point now where I need to increase the weights for my workouts but there's nothing available to buy! I've progressed to using 12Lbs for everything cause it's the largest pair of freeweights I have, and now I've started using the one 20LB weight I have for some of the exercises, but I really need to invest in a pair of 15Lb weights. Unfortunately there are NONE available in my area, and the ones near my parent's home are $60 each weight. Yuck! I think I will stick to upping my reps instead of sinking $120 plus tax on something I will just progress past within a month. I think it would be better to buy a second 20Lb'er and get my butt in gear to using it!
One more week and I'll have earned enough for my reward! I've decided on this bathingsuit:
I live on a lake so I'm in the water everyday, and none of my suits are likely to fit this year.... Feels Great! Gotta keep it up.6 -
Super cute bathing suit @PlaneMonkey ... love it!
I have spent a lot of the weekend planning for meals and exercise for the upcoming week. For example, I have an evening appointment Tuesday at a community centre just under 7KM away, so I'll walk there for the appointment and have my husband pick me up when I'm done.
I love incorporating transportation into my exercise plans for the week.2 -

For weights, check on kijiji or any other ad site for used ones! It is amazing how much fitness equipment is out there for sale. I have had great luck on kijiji and since you are close to Ottawa, there should be a lot of choice out there. Driveway drop off and e-transfers make it super easy with the pandemic restrictions. I hope you find some!
The bathing suit is smashing. You'll rock that thing!
@micki48
Your son's new place has such a great view! I am so glad you were able to go there and spend some time together.
OK folks! A new week is already rolling along. One more Sunday weigh-in is due -
@MzBossy I hope you'll be here this week! We missed you last week, and don't want to lose you.

Happy Easter to all! We had a nice day and a small family gathering now that we are vaccinated. Kids had a lot of fun and we got our egg hunt in before the rain showed up. I did not log today and definitely had my fair share of candy.
@PlaneMonkey Congrats on the colorful chart and building more strength. There are all kinds of ideas for changing reps and sets if you research. Things like doing reps faster vs. slower or different number of reps per set etc. You can also pre fatigue the muscle with body weight exercises then add weights. A set of bands can be a great addition and can be combined with your hand weights.
@Terytha Woo-hoo and well done 👏 Size 8 is so exciting!
@micki48 Great week for you even with it being busy! Love the picture too!1 -
Last call for steps friends.
@Steph1498 Missing 4/2 4/3
@mbakhtiaruz Missing 3/28-4/1
Need to head to bed. But all caught up reading posts and recording steps.
@PlaneMonkey Love the bathing suit. I think I might need a new one too.
Back to my Pilates tomorrow. Missing it for sure. Need to keep up the loss too. I also had too many sweets. I have tons of lettuce in my refrigerator, so that is on my menu in the coming days.
Talk to you tomorrow.3 -

Must confess the amount of Easter egg I wanted to eat yesterday was significantly higher than the amount I actually consumed. Mom got me these amazing chocolate chip shortbreads but they're over 350 calories a pop so that's a huge chunk of my day. Two left, I think, and they're too nice to throw out.
My current target is to get under 80kg. Heading in the right direction.6 -

I said eff it and ate half a cake for Easter.
And I sort of regret it because my stomach can't actually contain half a cake anymore. XD
Oh well. You only live once and I wanted to eat cake.
It was a good Easter overall. My ham turned out, I grilled asparagus and I made mashed potatoes that fed two people out of a single potato. It was hefty!3 -
I’m up a few pounds after the holiday weekend but logged and stayed within my calorie range so it should come off fairly quickly. I hope it’s just water and that huge steak I ate yesterday.
Good luck to everyone, let’s win every category again this week!!4 -

I was just sending a text to my son about making a huge steak for my taller half's birthday this week - then you posted about huge steak. Cracks me up. I don't eat it, but the male half of my family is crazy about steak. You'll work yours off in no time, I'm sure!5 -
I spent a wonderful 90 minutes with my horse this morning for the first time in ages. He is not really mine until his service as a stallion is over and he is retired as a breeder (soon, we hope!) . But in the meantime, he is mine to spend time with, ride, and (hopefully) get him back in shape after the winter. I could not ride at all since last April when I injured my butt, so now I am excited that it is healing well enough that riding will be possible in another month or so. Both of us could use the exercise! Today was just a major grooming session and getting him back into regular handling. For the rest of the month I'll lunge him and get his muscles built up a bit before he goes off for some breedings, and then when he gets back we'll starting riding again. I had forgotten how calming and nice it is just to spend an hour or so grooming, hanging out, and scratching all the itches. Now you'll get horse news in stead of snowshoeing news! Now I'm home, though, and better get to my Pilates and some music practicing...
Grace has completed her thesis and is coming back! Some of you may remember @graceojo999 It will be great to have her back in the team. More UK power
OK everyone - dig deep, choose wisely, and have a good one.6 -
@jugar
Thank you so much.
My name is Grace, I am 29, live in Nottingham Uk. I just submitted my thesis so I am in a good place. I can now focus on loosing the weight. One of the reasons I stayed on track was this group and I spiraled after I left. Happy to be back on this journey.

The CRUNCH is here! Last chance to weigh in or you will be dropped this week...
@MzBossy

We don't want to lose you! Hope you'll be back.
Monday weigh-ins still missing:
@smaidiigaa
@louise7577 - this is also a last chance week for you! Hope you'll be here
There are no Tuesday weigh-ins! This is a chance for catching up, discussing interesting stuff, and generally just having a Tuesday.

@PlaneMonkey I bought that same suit last year!!! I really like it except I feel like the torso is a little short.
Today was the first day of 100% in person learning instead of hybrid. I got 3 new kindergarten students who had been virtual all year. They struggled. You can tell they are used to mom sitting next to them helping.
I did great with my eating this weekend. I logged everything. I managed to balance my macros with cake. I am enjoying my new workout routine. I made plan/timelin for the next 3 workout programs I want to do.4 -

Inspiring! I like the combination of cake and workouts. Winner!2 -
OMG MY SCALE IS UP 9LBS ! I mean I know I wasn't perfect or even close but it's never gone up that high after a bad weekend... eeek...
Maybe its cause of the increased exercise, or even the covid shot coulda caused some interior inflammation, lol... its just not what I expected to see...
Steps for Sunday were 7356 with 20 min of aerobics and 15 minutes of yoga.
Mondays steps were 4760
No formal exercise, except a 20 min walk.
This morning is 20 min aerobics and 10 minutes of hiit
Have a great day... even if your scale is as mean as mine !

Good morning - man, I've got to kickstart myself - Sunday - not great...who the heck brought the munchkins? and yesterday, even with good choices available I reached for every bad choice. AND my stretch jeans didn't feel so comfortable - that bothers me the most. Tuesday now, working from home - today I'll eat smarter. I haven't logged in months so I'll do that too.
@PlaneMonkey your chart is inspiring and your 'reward' swimsuit, very nice.
@Gidgitgoescrazy yes, that's a big jump but I'll bet you have a significant drop next week - it's clearly not just from consumption and you're always so good about exercise.
@Terytha you might have just got me back on track, mentioning grilled asparagus - tis the season and I adore grilled asparagus.
@jugar spending time with your horse sounds amazing!
My fitbit has been charging for about a week now here at the computer - now on my wrist - I think it'll do more good if I WEAR it! Any workweek challenges up @micki48 ? I have not even been walking much at all since January...I think I'd overdone it.

You are not kidding about the jeans! I am really happy being back into mine. The slightly stretchy pair is more comfy than the old school thick ones that can practically stand up without me, but that's good by me! I challenge you to get comfy in your jeans again. It is worth it
And yes, the fitbit on the wrist is worth a million of them on the charger... Mine is still on the bedside table since the beginning of February. Hmmmm.Gidgitgoescrazy wrote: »OMG MY SCALE IS UP 9LBS ! I mean I know I wasn't perfect or even close but it's never gone up that high after a bad weekend... eeek...BAD SCALE. VERY VERY BAD. GO LIE DOWN. STAY. BAD SCALE.5 -
@KellyBgetsfit Thats hilarious that you have the same suit! Thanks for the info, good thing I have a short torso. I'm all leg. How does it fit besides that? True to size or did you order one size up or down? That's what I'm wavering on right now. Which size to order.... You can always make something smaller, but it would be nice if it fit right out of the box, too
@Gidgitgoescrazy the scale is wrong. like @jugar said, leave it in the corner until it behaves! lol.2 -
@Gidgitgoescrazy That is a terrible scale and a shocking weigh in for sure. It's got to be one of the reasons you listed and not a true gain. Hang in there!
@KellyBgetsfit I love the idea of balancing macros around cake! Not an easy task so well done. What exercise programs do you have lined up?
@gak71 We just had steak last night and my scale is up a bit this morning too!
@eggfreak Hopefully you start turning to the healthy choices soon. I have gotten into a routine with potato chips lately. I feel like spring can help shift my eating habits to lighter healthier fair!
@jugar What a nice time you had with your horse! What is his name and how old is he? I miss having horses but don't miss all the care and expense. I have my childhood horses portrait hanging next to my vanity and have fond memories of riding with my sister 💕
Today we actually get to see some horses. My assistant's daughter has a little hobby farm with quite a few animals. We get to surprise the kids with a visit. Her goats just had babies. She also has a calf and sheep. I think she has a new puppy as well.
Yesterday was great and I was within calories. We did some work on the chicken coop fence and cleaned out a bunch of brush near there fence so that was my workout for the day!3 -
Here are the babies we get to visit!

OMG baby goats! So cute. I want to squish them they are so cute!3 -
@conleywoods
Those baby goats are seriously adorable. I am sure the children went nuts over the kids!
Thanks for asking about my lovely horse - his registered name fits him well - My Exquisite Heart. His every day name is Montana - not sure why, but he came that way! He is a foundation Appaloosa and will turn 18 in May.
Here he is looking wise and strong -
We had another lovely grooming and manners session (no one has been telling him what to do for a while!). I know what you mean about the work and the expense with horses, but he has not cost me much because he is not mine and most of his expenses are covered! Once he is passed along to me, it won't cost much to keep him where he is, so I hope everything goes well and he will be retired as of June. Then we can be old farts together.
Today is an animal theme, it seems! I always find the best days are when we remember we are animals too, and we need to run around, get a bit crazy from time to time, lie in the sun and just enjoy the moment other times. And of course, have someone pamper us and bring us everything we need!
Off to make some dinner -5
