    Daily Goals
    ✅Steps 5,196
    ✅Sleep
    ✅Walk

    Sorry for the short responses today. I was video chatting all morning so I am really behind. I went for my walk as it is going to rain soon. I was short on steps yesterday so I walked around the apartment to get it over 5,000.

    Did my should workout. This is my least favorite since I have to go really light due to being careful with my neck.

    Quiet day, went to neighbors for Easter egg hunt and spent a couple hours by myself. Had a cheat dinner and grilled cheeseburgers.

    @iradi8 good luck with your surgery. have a good recovery and don't rush back.

    @Tazaria87 way to go on your holiday eating. that casserole sounds interesting.

    congrats to everyone that hit milestones. there's a lot of success on those lists. congrats to the new vaccine receivers. i hope you don't have any of the bad side effects.

    @azkunk my doc has been trying to get me into cardio but they keep putting out more and more hoops to jump thru. i've already had to give 7 tubes of blood, urine, ekg, several b/p readings. the newest request was put in last week so i'm hoping they will finally agree to see me.

    my stomach has been feeling "weird" all day. i woke up with it. i can't tell if it's hungry, full, sick, or just being ornery. i've tried safe food - english muffin, bad food - taco bell, water - 40 oz, antacids, exercise, burping. nothing is helping yet.

    4/3 9.053 steps walking
    calories-even
    logged-yes
    8 hrs. sleep

    Had people over for lunch and overate. Just not used to allowing room for dessert anymore and too unwilling to skip it. Another area that needs work. Got a short walk in the morning and one in the afternoon before evening church. Hope everyone had a great Easter.

    @iradi8 congratulations on your weight loss and hope you recover quickly from your surgery.
    @red1185 hope that you are feeling better today.
    @bluetail6 so sorry for your loss and his family's loss.
    @mszoueb congratulations on your 100 days of logging. Considering how glitchy this site can be it's a great accomplishment.
    @rwood586 I hope that you can get into the VA. In my state(Iowa) they were sued for not going through their radiology backlog. Hope your stomach feels better.

    I felt like it was a good week and I’m disappointed that it ended in a gain. I’m not going to let that deter me and will keep up the effort. The scale has got to come down sooner or later. My rower should ship this week. I hope the more intense exercise will kick start some loss

    That’s the spirit! Positive and looking forward. Please do not let the 1/10 of a pound gain let you feel disappointed. You had a great week! It may be extra water.
    You’re right. The scale will move down. You’re doing amazing.
    A rower is intense. Yes. Weight loss and strength.
    Keep up the positive work 👏👏

    I hope you get the transportation for your daughter figured out. Also, I'm sorry about your dog's suffering, and yours as well. I do think it is wonderful that the vet can come to your home. Our little one is up there in age as well.

    My energy level has been very low this last week or so. I have been feeling so tired. I've taken naps during the day but still feel like I'm not getting enough sleep. I know its do to stressing over the purchase of a new house. Of course I'm a stress eater too so my weight will definitely be up this week. So ready to close on the house & get started with the updates it needs!
    On a good note...our snowy weather from last week has now changed to high 60s low 70s this week! :smile:

    So sorry about your dog. It is great that the vet can come to your house. Lots of hugs to you and your family.

    @rlaskey2
    Nice steps! Cheat meals are ok every now and then.

    @Tazaria87
    Maybe you could share that recipe. Congrats on your vaccine appointment.

    @rwood566
    Sorry your stomach is off. Have you started any new meds? I felt awful last week and it turned out to be the antibiotics I was taking. M&M’s are one of my biggest downfalls. I personally don’t keep them in the house or I will eat them all. Maybe you can bag them and the nuts into single size servings. That way you know exactly how much is in each bag. You could weigh them and write the amount on the bags. Then you know exactly how many calories you had in your snack.

    @Megan_smartiepants1970
    Keep trying until you get there!

    @Beautyofdreams
    I never pass on dessert at special occasions. I imagine this something you don’t have very often. Go back to your regular eating the next day. I am sure your weekly calorie average balanced out.

    @TheresaM787
    You should map out your biking. Pick a destination and pedal until you get there. There as to be an app for that.

    @Z10Rtza
    How are your studies going?

    @lelbarou
    A walk is a good walk no matter how short it is! Great job!

    @missysave0612
    I hope your house purchase comes together soon. I can relate to your stress eating. Maybe you can plan some activities that you can do when you feel stressed and want to eat.

    Question

    For those of you with a fitness tracker such as a Fitbit, how do you use it to help on your weight loss journey?

    It is a great motivator to get me up and moving ...With out it I don't think I would move much .... I gave my old garmin to my daughter so we have a competition to see who can get the most steps in a day :)

    I love my Apple watch <3 I use it to track water, exercise and steps. There is also a MFP app but I never really explored it. The health app on my phone keeps track of all my data and shows me my trends including cardio fitness. There are three rings on the watch that you should close each day and I try to do that. The rings are activity (general calories), exercise (active minutes which only track if you meet a minimum effort of 'brisk walk') and stand (tracks whether you get up and move each hour for a goal of standing once in 10 separate hours). It buzzes if I don't stand which then cues me to walk at least 500 steps.
