@Megan_smartiepants1970 Hi, Megan, I'd like to be back in the step challenge at 10k, please.
@mszoueb @lelbarou It is really tough having friends and being a friend. I recently read of a scientific experiment where they had one group just think positive thoughts and the other group write down how they are truly feeling. At the end of the experiment, the group who wrote down the good, the bad and the ugly came out feeling better about life and about life and about themselves. I appreciate the honesty shared by this group, it helps me to ask myself "how am I really feeling?"3 -

My dad and I got to workout together again for the first time in a couple weeks. It felt great and I am sore today in the fronts of my shoulders and chest from punching. It's warmer out today so I'm planning on going for a walk outside after my nieces get picked up in the early evening.5 -

After logging the rest of my planned meals/drinks. realized that I needed to do a light ride and arm workout so I don’t go over my calorie budget.
Thank you again to all of you for the time-tested tips, and sharing what has worked for you. Your advice has made all the difference for this one over here.2 -
WOW! You all are great at getting those steps in!! I sit at my desk all day then go to my other part-time jobs which are desk work too. Hard to even get 3,000 in a day. Way to go! Great inspiration!4

Would you like to be added to our step challenge?... I have a converter chart where I can add most exercise and convert it into steps (example bike ride )0 -

Sorry for the late Monday post - I'm still working (catching up for being on vacation last week). It's an increase and I'm not happy of course but it was a great break from work where the most difficult decisions were figuring out what time we had our morning walk on the beach and where we were going to take the family out for dinner (lots of great restaurants in the Palm Beach area. Anyway - 2 lbs is a 'fair trade' I can live with and I'm sure I'll find a way to take it off again soon.5 -

Gotta get to the 180s!
March flew by for me. It helped that we had a few nice days. I saw a friend on my patio that I haven’t seen in over a year. It was nice to chat. NO - it was wonderful! I’m so thankful to be able to see friends again. We’re staying outside, but that’s okay. I go into my mom’s apartment and my sister’s house, but that’s about it for inside visits. We’re all at different places, but things have gotten brighter. I hope everyone is feeling happier with the warmth that spring brings.4 -

Plan for tomorrow:
1. Pack breakfast/lunch and eat what I packed ✅
2. 90 oz water ✅
3. Take 3 walking breaks at work ✅
4. Walk during daughter’s dance class ✅
Weight was up a whole pound 😱 but I had a great day hitting my goals. I picked up my diuretic this morning and took one. Hopefully, that will flush a little over f this excess fluid off. My blood pressure has been a little up without the diuretic which has led to headaches. I hope to get this all under control soon.
Tomorrow, I am working from home. So, my plan for tomorrow is:
1. Go on a 20 minute walk before I start work and another 20 minute walk at lunch
2. Pre-log meals tonight and stick to it
3. 90 oz water
4. 10K steps.4 -
@lcfa5317 - the 180s are so close! You will definitely be there next week.
@jimboden3 - 2lb gain after vacation is not too bad. That should come right off once you get back on track.
@transparentenigma - I struggle with steps on the weekends too. I often find myself walking laps around my kitchen to squeeze them in.
@TheresaM787 - nice ride
@missysave0612 - I have a desk job too. I try to take mini walk breaks every hour or two for 5-19 minutes. If I am working from home, sometimes the steps are around my kitchen.
@Tazaria87 - it’s nice to see that you are fully recovered from that stomach flu anc working out again
@Megan_smartiepants1970 - as always, thank you for keeping track of our steps. This really does provide motivation and I hope to do better this month

Check in for March 29
Logging - yes

Well, my despair and incredible confusion seems to have drifted past thank God! Ha Ha! Also, I have made some realizations about my food choices among other things. I am bored to death of the food I'm eating and simply not enjoying my food. It's true that grains and dairy slow down or hamper my weight loss, but I need more variety in what I eat. I had a chocolate pancake this morning (healthy - homemade with oat flour) and a hunk of cheese! LOL
I still have the huge 4 pound weight gain and I'm still sitting at 287. I think due to changes in my diet my weight loss will slow, but I have to make some kind of compromise as I'm so sick of what I'm eating and I need some food that actually tastes good!
My interview yesterday seemed to go very well. My other interview was moved to next Tuesday, so only one interview this week. I sent in two other applications, but it takes them time to sift through them. They are chosen based on various aspects such as both qualifications and applicable seniority level. Sometimes a senior person can transfer into a job from a parallel job. In that case, no interviews are done. It is a straight up transfer. I will see what happens.
Thanks for sticking with me everyone. Sometimes I am way down in the trenches or pit and sometimes at the top of the mountain. It's just how I am and how I roll! Ha Ha! It's very offputting for people to deal with someone who is intense, but thanks for understanding. Thank you especially to @TheresaM787 @mszoueb @Megan_smartiepants1970 @363days and @lindamtuck2018 for your understanding and empathy. It is much appreciated!!!5 -
@azkunk - I hope your stress in your job goes down a bit and that your calcium and PTH normalize. Your grill looks awesome so I hope you get something to cook on it soon!
@TheresaM787 - Thank you so much for your sympathy and support!
@Megan_smartiepants1970 - Thank you regarding the steps. Honestly, I had very little sleep last night and was out to lunch. I actually think I can get my steps in. You know me I think! LOL3 -
@lelbarou - I am glad that you are starting to feel better about things and that you made some changes to your diet and expectations. Having such a restrictive diet works in the short term but will not be sustainable long term if you do not enjoy it. It has is much better to make little modifications that you can live with long term and accept a slower rate of loss. Good luck on the job hunt, I hope you get the position that you most want.
As for me the stress is a little less. I just need to find a new balance now that I am back in the facility and back to being a dance mom again.3 -

I am sorry for my lack of communication the last 2 days. I haven’t been feeling the greatest and I slept all day yesterday. I am going to be resting again today and I hope I can get back to walking tomorrow. I am not sure if it is the antibiotic or I picked up a bug. The region I live in moved back into the red zone today due to rising covid numbers. The exercise room was closed when we were in red before so I may not have access to the bike and weights anymore.
I am going to respond to the posts but if I miss someone I apologize in advance.

Daily Post March 29
Tracked Yes
Under Calorie Yes
Water 103oz
Steps 10118
Exercise 60min walk on lake trail
Getting outside for a walk felt great. My nieces were here all day so I got a few thousand steps from having all 4 kids here. Then after they got picked up and my husband was done working, I headed out to go for a walk with my parents. The trail we do is a little over 3 miles. There is another one there that is over 5. My mom has arthritis in her knee so she can't handle the longer one but last night my dad said he wants to try with me. He's thinking an early weekend morning versus after he's worked all day. I had made some low cal broccoli cheese soup in the instant pot in the afternoon so I ate that right when I got home. I was hungry. The rest of the family ate while I was gone.
Today I'm not sure what I'll do for workout. I have some errands to run for the consignment sale and also to get my son the rest of the way registered for Kindergarten. I'll probably just see where my steps are when I get back home and decide then!3
