Wow. I just kept my head down and powered through March. After a very rocky start, I'm so inspired going into April. Let's do this!4

Here are my April SMART goals:
* Move around for 15 min minimum a day
* Drink 3L water
* Track all of my food- no sneaking, no lying to myself (I may have been doing that this last week a little )
* Stop eating at 8pm
* Study for half an hour
* Read 10 pages of a book a day
* Do one positive thing a day that makes me happy!
Lets make April AHMAZING!!!
One of my goals is also to honestly track everything I put in my mouth. It is so easy to "cheat" and not record the "bad" things, even though I know I will only be cheating myself.
Up until last week I was very strict- not just with my food intake, but tracking. I decided to get a bit more lax on my intake and I somehow translated that as "just eat and don't track the little things" and it didn't sit right with me. You're right- I'm only cheating myself that way!!! So back to it now! lol2 -
Wednesday weigh in:
PW: 152.4
CW: 152.4
This is fine by me b/c I was up earlier this week due to stomach issues/bloating- so hopefully next week will be better. I ended the month in March w/a total of 24 classes done in my barre Challenge- I needed 20 to complete so I consider this a win!3 -

Unfortunately I don't have any exciting (or even mildly interesting) things happening right now. I do enjoy seeing all your progress though.
Hope you're all having a good week.2 -
I've been given a clean bill of health! It is such a relief. Now to refocus and crush my goals!5

Hello all! I totally relate to @Beka3695 comment about March. I don't know what happened in March but I just kind of lost it. I am up 2lbs and just ate whatever I wanted. I've been super stressed at work but honestly that's pretty normal. I do feel like I've reset this week. I meal prepped and had a really well planned trip to the grocery store. I think my key focus this month will just be resetting after I don't eat perfectly instead of just going off the rail! So here is to a good April!

Goal for April: No snacking after 8pm and lots of water!1 -
Hi Assets!
Looks like I’m starting off our monthly introductions once again, gotta love my time zone lol. I’m 29, live near Helsinki, Finland with my husband and currently expecting our first child, so I’m in the support team without a weight loss goal.
My health goals for April are, well, suited to my current state of misery after a rough beginning of pregnancy:
- Less nausea, hopefully
- Learn to eat vegetables without puking again (lovely side effect of the nausea, I can only keep carbs, dairy and meat down consistently)
- Leave the apartment every day, even if it’s just to walk around the block
Our next ultrasound is in 2.5 weeks, and I can’t wait to make sure everything looks good for our little one. It’s on the same day my 2nd trimester starts, and I hope it will be a turning point for both my nerves and my nausea.
I sincerely hope you all have an easier time and can move towards your weight loss goals!
Be careful what you wish for, folks. I hoped for less nausea and couldn’t wait for our next ultrasound. Well, yesterday I got a sudden decrease in all pregnancy symptoms, including nausea, and experienced some bloody discharge, so I booked the first available appointment for an extra ultrasound to make sure everything’s OK. Had the ultrasound today and our baby is fine, it was amazing to see a recognizably human creature waving it’s tiny legs and arms for us. Feels insane that there’s a literal person inside me.
So yeah, I got both less nausea and an ultrasound I didn’t have to wait two more weeks for, but I’m not exactly thrilled that these came with so-worried-I-couldn’t-sleep 24 hours and the cost of the extra ultrasound appointment at a private clinic. As a nice extra bonus though, the ultrasound came with an updated estimated due date, which makes me almost a week further along than thought, so I’m that much closer to hitting that 1st trimester milestone.
If the constant nausea stays away from now on, maybe this was still a win in the longer term. I did also successfully eat some vegetables without puking them, and walked to both the ultrasound and the blood tests I had happened to schedule for today. Definitely haven’t left the apartment every day this week, but it was an April goal so I didn’t fail it yet.5 -
Hey guys!

If so then can I stay in support and start in May?

Weigh In Wednesday:
KittyInBoots17:
PW: 235.6
CW: 235.8
I'm staying around the same but I think a gain will come after Easter. Not gonna lie. Lol.2 -
I'm copying and pasting from last month, but hey, it works, right?
I'm KittyInBoots17, 35, in the prairies of Canada. I enjoy baking - pretty obvious by my weight HA, gardening, and anything to do with animals. I desperately need to re-lose several, and I do mean several, pounds to get back where I was three years ago or so. Been on here since 2015. So pretty much lose then regained. Not quite back where I was to begin with but if I don't do something I will be.
So here's the new part lol - March I pretty much stayed the same so hopefully after Easter I can be losing a pound at least. Lol!!!1 -

Hello, fellow Shrinking Assets members!
My name is Jill and I am newly 55 years old.
I have been on the journey to being healthier, mindful about food and exercise as well as losing weight since 2015. My highest weight has been 243. My lowest weight was 179, at the start of the pandemic. I have done a reset and downloaded My Fitness Pal to lose the weight I gained during this very stressful pandemic and continue on to my ultimate goal of reducing my A1c and not moving to diabetes as well as my BMI at a healthy range. Recently diagnosed pre-diabetic. My starting weight was 192 and my weight-in on Sunday was 189.6. I am pretty active: walk over 10,250 steps daily, ride a stationary bike 3 times a week, HIIT 3 times a week, and lift weights 2 times a week.
I have a dietitian that has been on the journey with me for 3 years. Challenges are really great, inspiring, as well as an opportunity to encourage. Looking forward to our journey together.4 -

I am presently surprised considering this week has been a hard one how me. While I tried to stay on track I did not get to exercise at all. I did have a bit of a controlled splurge on the weekend and I'm glad it didn't bite me at weigh in. I am only 3.6 lb shy of my previous alltime low since iver gained so much weight and that is super exciting for me cuz I cannot wait to go even lower!5 -
Looking forward to seeing those whoooshes for you all next week!
I’m on day 2/30 of leaving the apartment every day in April, so far so good. I’m also feeling a lot better in general, even though most of my symptoms came back in some form and even brought some lovely joint pain friends. I’m less worried since the symptoms came back and we had the ultrasound confirming everything looks fine, and my energy levels have increased a little bit. I no longer need 10 hours every night + 2-3 naps, this week I’ve been largely on 8 hours per night + 1-2 naps. That’s a huge amount of extra time to my day, especially now that I’m no longer spending most of my awake time hugging the toilet.
Today we successfully went on a little walk, got groceries, came home and cooked a healthyish dinner, all in a row without me having to lie down or take a nap break. I know it sounds like a ridiculously small achievement, but for me this was a big win after a very rough early pregnancy. Morning sickness is also mostly gone, afternoon and evening sickness still remain but are much more manageable because I have more energy in general.1 -

Had a bit of a whoosh this week but we are out of town for the weekend, which means a lot of meals out. Trying to be mindful yet still eating some new things. Surprisingly I got my steps in because we walked to and from dinner. Hopefully I won’t get too off track!2 -

Back on track, practicing to Stop, Challenge and Choose. Really helps with those days I rummage through the kitchen for no reason. Back in the office next week after working from home for 13 months but we won't have access to vending machines, coffee pots, water or microwaves. Basically sit in my office. But hey the company wants us to be "back to normal".5 -
