Was actually surprised to see any results.. I weighed myself all week and had the same #. Got to the Dr this morning and see at least a 1lb change... this is good... thought I was gonna have no change... yeah for little loss.. wish it was more. But I cheated a lot this week. I have to be more disciplined. I know I need to log in the app.. this will help keep me accountable.. hopefully better results next Monday!4 -

Didn't make my 2lb goal, but still happy to have a loss!
Don't know if it counts as strength training, I tried out pilates for some type of strength building as I don't have any equipment and it is HARD! But I did manage 3 short 10 minute workouts this week, so whooo for meeting that goal.
My goals for the week are to:
1. Stick to 1300 cals (I notice such a huge difference even if I go over 100-200 cals w/weight loss)
2. Drink my water
3. Keep up the pilates and zumba.
4. I really like this week's challenge to do more self care, so I'm going to do that!4 -
Whew! What a week!
I was traveling again last weekend... I posted by weigh in to the spreadsheet but not on here.
I was up 1.8 lbs. I was 175.2 last week and 177.0 this week. WRONG DIRECTION AGAIN.
I stepped on the scale yesterday before leaving and was still 177.0. Stepped on this am and was 181.4!!! WHAT THE ACTUAL HECK!?!?!?!?! I did not eat 14k cal over maintenance yesterday!! So, something is up. Sodium? TOM?? I've had a hysterotomy so IDK when my 'time' is anymore. Regardless, I am up - way up. I havent seen the 180s since last August or september.
Vent over....
I have prelogged my day and I'm under 1300 cal. I am in complete agreement with @hannahel2021 - if I can stay under 1300, I lose well. Time to tighten the reigns.
I have had several long convos with a friend who has shed some light on my emotional eating. I have a Wednesday/Thursday binge trend. I vow NOT to have this binge this week. I am focusing on keeping my total carbs under 100g a day - this is simply to combat bloat. I am not a low carb person. Also, this will keep my sugar intake lower.
I will look back thru my old journals and see what I was eating on the daily when I was losing well. Time to remind myself of what works!
How did everyone do over the weekend?3 -
Well Friday night we had steaks and baked potatoes and salad and corn on the cob and big old grilled out Mill and then Saturday we had another big old grilled out Mill with grilled chicken wings grilled pork chops broccoli cooked on the grill that was the first but it was delicious all I did was pig out all weekend long I did not step on the scale this morning for fear of how high it would be I am tightening the rains as well cutting my sugar in my carbs down a bit I want to have a 2 lb loss from this week if I can make it happen that would make me so incredibly happy I am sick and tired of feeling like my belly is taking over the view of my beautiful feet hahaha let's crush it this week people drink that water drink that water drink that water2

Haha you and me both, even thouogh I absolutely wanted to do this to myself lol...
Rant time: I’m getting pretty annoyed with myself, the first trimester I was just waiting for the bump to come, and now that it’s showing up I’m freaking out. I don’t know why my brain works the way it does, but somehow I wasn’t worried about weight gain in my first trimester when I didn’t need to gain weight but had to eat every 2 hours to avoid vomiting, even though I wasn’t hungry. Also, I ate barely any vegetables during those months since they made me puke. Well, now it’s 2nd trimester, I can eat some fruits and veggies again so I’m trying to include more, I’m supposed to gain weight because the baby is growing bigger and needs more food, I still need to eat every 2 hours to avoid nausea AND I’m actually hungry all the time. So, dear brain, what the F? First you’re like ”cool, I’ll stuff myself with sandwiches to avoid vomiting, no problem” and now you’re freaking out about eating a lot and gaining weight when you’re actually hungry and need it?
The water drinking is also a problem. I’ve always been a big water drinker so this shouldn’t be, but it is. Somehow water doesn’t taste as good anymore, so I guess I’d be on the verge of dehydration anyway. Now, to add insult, I need more water than ever to supply more blood, amniotic fluid, baby and everything else that needs water. I’ve tried to cover both hydration and veggies a little bit by drinking lots of smoothies - I found a good one I like that’s also pasteurized so there’s no contamination risks.
On the plus side, I don’t really need to worry about my belly looking big now that we’re starting to tell everyone and I can just flaunt it. My husband is finally admitting the bump is showing, and this weekend a stranger directly commented on my pregnancy (she picked up some old furniture through a Facebook recycling group and I mentioned not using a mask during her visit because they make me nauseous, she calculated nausea + bump = pregnancy). This might be the first time every I’m most concerned about the way my weight affects my physical abilities, both in terms of growing a healthy baby and being able to do things throughout this pregnancy.
OK, rant over. I hope we can all reach our goals without our brains getting in the way!5 -
I changed my goal from 2 pounds a week to .5 pounds a week. It gave me an extra 230 calories for the day. I am only 6 pounds away from a healthy BMI so I am starting to feel out maintenance mode. I've also changed up my food and am eating more fun salad combinations now so it will probably be harder to hit the calorie goal but it's good to know I can eat more of I want and not stress about it.5

I am so proud to hear this! You have worked so hard and been so successful.
Feel free to share your salad combos with the group. I think I speak for all when I say we could use some change up in our lives!!!2 -

My salads lately have consisted of the spring mix greens topped with baked chicken breast, carrots, red pepper, tomatoes, mini cucumber, crunchy fried onions and parmesan crisps. I use a Greek vinaigrette dressing. Next, I am going to try incorporating apples and walnuts. I think it will go good with chicken.

Yum! I’ll definitely try that when I can stomach salads again. My favorite salad toppings include smoked salmon, crispy bacon bits, pomegranate seeds, sliced grapes, avocado, feta cheese, blueberries and strawberries. Definitely not all in the same salad, although that could be amazing.3 -

Alright so byebye gain! I'm still practically the same as 2 weeks ago but it's still down!
Went for 4 walks this last week and slowly incorporating movement.
I really miss my 3lb+ a week losses from the first 3 months of doing this. I'm hoping that the odd week will show progress. I still have 120lb to go to my goal weight and patience has never been my strong point haha3 -

It should be fixed now. I had to tweak it just a bit.

Who is crushing it?
Me! Well, kind of. I’ve left the apartment every day for 10 days straight, which is a huge improvement compared to March when I couldn’t even remember the last time I went outside. Yesterday I also tried some maternity yoga video on my balcony - the balcony yoga idea was really nice and easiest stretches were lovely, but overall it was ridiculously difficult even though it was specifically suited for pregnant women. My balance is way off, I’ve lost a lot of muscle strength, and my joints have always been loose but now they’ve been loosening up even more.
I’ll be trying some more yoga today or tomorrow. I even complained about my difficulties to a yogi friend, she recommended some instagram workout ”stars” who are currently pregnant but based on my maternity yoga experience I’ll stick to light yoga and walking until my next healthcare appointment where I can ask about safe exercising in my current situation.
