    Tracked Yes
    Under Calorie Yes
    Water 89oz
    Steps 9164
    Exercise 24 min boxing on punching bag

    Dad wasn't up to walking because his hip had been bothering him. He started a new job this week and was on his feet a lot. We did get downstairs for a boxing session though which felt great. They invited my grandma over for dinner and we ordered out. I got a roast beef sandwich and just took it off the bun and piled it on top of a piece of keto toast. It was pretty good that way. I also got a kiddie serving of ice cream like I had posted I did a couple weeks ago. Once again, it was the perfect amount to enjoy to have a treat with everyone without overdoing it or feeling sick after.

    Today I'm going to be making some new bars. I've always made paleo snack bars, but my husband wants me to try putting some different ingredients in-mainly dried fruits- and making different options. I bought dried dates and apricots. It's ridiculous how hard it is to find dried fruit that doesn't have sugar added to it. I also told my son I'd make a batch with dark chocolate morsels in them. So I think I'll make a few different batches today.

    Good Morning Dazzling Downsizers .... I hope everyone had a great weekend ... As for me I have to go do labs this morning and then back out to see my Surgeon at 4pm 45 minute drive out and back (thank goodness my roommate is still here and able to drive me since I am still on pain pills...I weighed myself this morning just to see where I am ... I went from 227 to 221 ..I am happy with that considering I am eating whatever roommate makes ...last night was french dip sandwiches (i haven't had bread in a long time ...was surprised I didn't get a headache from it) looking forward to getting back on keto and meal prepping (not sure when that will happen) Have a wonderful day Everyone :)

    Wow, some great losses this week for the Monday weigh-ins so far, great job!!

    Monday Check-in:

    Went for a 90 minute hike on Saturday, that is the first day in I have no idea how long that I have hit 10k steps! I kept to my calorie goals all weekend long though am up slightly on the scale this morning. Hmmm... always makes me a little frustrated even though I know fluctuations are totally normal lol

    Goals for today:
    Hit the gym for strength training at lunch time
    Stay on track with eating
    Drink my water
    Go for a walk this evening (it is supposed to hit 93 degrees here today!)

    Have a great Monday everyone!!

    Would you like to be added to our step challenge? All you do is give me a step goal that you think you can hit daily and post your steps each day or weekly in our chat and I put it on the spreadsheet and tally them up every week with our top 5 steppers ... I hope to see you sign up :)

    Yes! I need to be challenged with this, maybe it will force me to make myself get up and move around every hour while I am working. Having a desk job is definitely not conducive to fat loss. So my health app says I have averaged 4,777 steps per day over the last month. I would definitely like to improve that so I am going to make my daily goal 6500.

    @Bluetail6 Those pictures brought tears to my eyes!!! I bet your life is so different, now, more energy, fewer stiff joints, and more. Good for you and thanks for sharing!!
    @azkunk I hope you can find may ways to be gentle with yourself. You have had a very tough year, being in the medical profession. I remember when I would read about your schedule and not even knowing how it was possible to keep going. Now, with your physical challenge, it could all be catching up with you.

    To all of the kale responders...thanks for the tips on chips - I'm going to try those, and the baby kale as well. I agree - dirt is the taste that comes to mind. I'm trying to eat 3 cups of kale daily with flax seeds, tumeric and blueberries, at a minimum. I'm following something that said it is good for brain health and having a mom with dementia - I'm trying to stay healthy.

    Introduction - I'm Patti from Tulsa, Oklahoma, 67 years old, Mother of a 32 and a 33 year old, 1 Grandson with a Granddaughter expected in July. I joined in October and am probably the only person who has gone up (4 pounds) instead of down. I'm counting it a success that I'm still hanging in there and hope to get a handle on my addictive behaviors. This is an awesome group and love all of the tips on podcasts, books and more. I fell on the ice a couple of months ago and really stopped exercising of any kind. This weekend I went for a hike and it felt so good to get an exercise burn. Tulsa has basically reopened, we aren't required to wear masks any longer although many stores are still requiring them. I have my vaccine, the sun is shining and life really feels pretty good right now.

    Nice going Linda!!! All ✅s 👏👏👏 Super high step count- now that’s dedication, that you went walking in the rain AND without an umbrella.

    @Tazaria87
    Way to smash those goals!! Great ideas, removing the takeout bread and replacing it with keto bread, and getting a kids size ice cream 👏👏 Mmmm, those bars sound delicious. Yes, it’s crazy how do many dried fruits have added sugar.

    @888Angie888
    Fantastic step counts! I’m pretty envious over here.

    @363days
    Love that determination! That hike sounds terrific Patti 🙌🙌

    @Bluetail6 - you look very fit! Keep up the great work!

    @mszoueb - I am right there with you! That is EXACTLY how I have been feeling lately.

    @jimboden3 - the new season of Handmaid’s Tale is out and I decided that I will only watch while rowing ... I am up to 20 minutes! I am not going super fast, just focusing on form for now.

    @Poobah1972 -great loss this week!

    @missysave0612 - puppies are lucky they are so cute. I’m starting to lose my patience with mine though. I am tired of being treated like a chew toy

    @lmf1012 - I often end up with a gain after a big hike but it’s usually short lived

    @TheresaM787 - thank you for the encouragement 😊

    @lindamtuck2018 - great steps! Sorry you had trouble sleeping last night. Hope you can get some sleep tonight. I’m jealous of the rain you are having.

    @Megan_smartiepants1970 - that is so frustrating. That happened to me last time but the lab called the doctor’s office and they were able to get the order over the phone. I hope the pain is getting better

    Thank you everyone for the encouragement. I spoke to my coach and with everything going on, I am going to take a diet break until my endocrinologist appointment. I will be eating at maintenance and hope it helps to reset things to get to losing again. Since my goal is maintenance for 2 weeks, do I stay active or go to cheer?
