    Happy Monday! I'm waiting for my boyfriend to finish up at the DMV so this is a quick one! I went back and was at the holistic pain clinic for almost 4 hours, I had to present my situation to a dozen people which was Instant anxiety but they were all really cool people. The main thing that helps is similar to a TENS unit but $2000, she told me to start saving because it's helped a lot of people with CRPS. They treat scarred areas with micro current and had me put on a gown with an open back, I placed more of an emphasis on my pelvic surgeries but then they saw all the scars from my back surgeries and said I forgot some stuff! Both days were free though I bought a supplement I feel better with that has a lot of vitamins and herbs. I'll go back next week but it's going to be hard to afford though it seems a way better route to go before I get any permanent implants (pain pumps or spinal cord stimulators).

    Still gardening, arm cardio, stretching, and strength training. They told me if I'd stopped this last year my body wouldve frozen and movement is key to recovering which is the experience with other sufferers.

    @trooworld Glad you still had fun at the market even though it was raining. We have been dealing with major thunderstorms here all day. I hope you at least enjoyed your brunch. I love brunch foods! :)

    @caitlingfry The house sounds wonderful and I’m sure that once you are there you will begin to make it your own special place. Do you watch any home improvement shows? Those can give you some good ideas on some DIY stuff that you can do. :)

    @Katmary71 I’m glad that you are getting some good results from the pain clinic and that the people were good to work with? That would be awesome if you could get that machine that could help you with your pain. Keep up the movement!! <3

    Hi Team! Well, I had a much better day food-wise than yesterday. I also got my hair done and for the first time in over 25 years, I didn’t dye it red, and instead, my lady put a nice warm brown color, which is much closer to what I was born with. I love it and so does my hubby! :) After my hair, I went grocery shopping, and then we all went and got our second Covid shot. I’m sitting here now feeling slightly off, which could be from the shot, fallout from all the carbs I had yesterday, or I’m just a hypochondriac. :D I don’t have any plans for tomorrow just in case one or all of us get sick from the shot. I also pulled the trigger today and bought an e-book about Protein Sparing Modified Fasting. I’ll let you know how that goes when I learn something. :grin:

    50 Day Commitment: Day Three
    1) Track Food Yup, I tracked it!
    2) Hit my macros (carbs under 30 grams total): 26 carbs
    3) No unplanned sugar indulgencesNo sugar!
    4) Workout 6 days a week (Including the Butt & Burpee Challenge) I didn’t do any workout today. Way to busy!
    5) Rate my day to the team and post in the Habit Tracker. It was a much better day!

    @askewcr You are so right, tomorrow is another day!

    @vegan4lyfe2012 Great loss!!!

    @eahrenee Congrats on your loss this week!

    @TeresaW1020 Yesss! Let's make May our best yet! We got this!
    Sorry about the carb hangover...I'm glad you can forgive yourself truly and move on.
    Also glad your hair appointment went so well and you're happy with the colour!

    @trooworld Lol, he's definitely not happy all the time, especially lately (terrible twos anyone?) but I don't take photos of those moments lol. He is pretty chill and good-natured for the most part!
    Sounds like you had fun at the farmers market and brunch. Even though you went off plan, you still ticked off your daily commitments and I think that's great!

    @caitlingfry The house sounds just lovely!

    @Katmary71 The pain clinic sounds amazing and sounds like just what you need! I'm glad they were able to affirm what you already know about movement being key to recovery.

    I had a decent day yesterday. There was a morning tea for my boss's birthday which I did participate in, but didn't overindulge too much. I swapped out my lunch for something smaller/lighter, had a healthy dinner, took the toddler for a walk before the thunderstorm arrived, and did some yoga and meditation. Finished the day with a great deficit and felt really good!

    I didn't know we were expecting a thunderstorm last night! We could hear it rolling in for a while and then, just after I got the toddler out of the shower, there was this HUGE crack of thunder, it must have been right above us! Scared the daylights out of me! So then we had to launch into a discussion about storms and thunder with the toddler in case there were more loud cracks through the night, we told him it's just clouds crashing together and it's nothing to be scared of. We lost power a couple of times but only for a minute or so each time, and there wasn't a lot of rain, about 14mm (a little over half an inch) through the night.

    Greetings from the other Georgia Girl! Today was so much better. I was under my calorie goal and I got all of my water in again. I am so thankful for this accountability. It means so much to wake up and your head is in the right space. This is awesome and thank you so much!!

    @Katmary71 It sounds like the holistic pain clinic gave you some hope? That's great that your movement is helping you. Even more reason to keep it up!

    @TeresaW1020 I did have fun and yes, I enjoyed my brunch. I hope the rain stops for you. Good idea not to plan anything since you just got your second shot.

    @TwistedSassette lol...I figured he couldn't be THAT happy all the time! :) I did have a great time on Sunday. Thanks! That was a good explanation to the toddler.

    @askewcr Yay for a good day! :D

    Hi all. I had to work onsite yesterday and I did NOT get into the vending machines! I didn't even get a coffee at the cafe, I got it from the coffee machines which has substandard coffee lol. My challenge today is to not boredom eat. I'm at home and I can get bored working, I tend to nosy around in the fridge at times.

    Welcome to all the new people – good luck on your weight loss journey, this group is amazing and has helped me tons!

    I live in the Midwest – USA with my husband and 2 girls. Sarah is 13yrs and Dana is 9yrs old. I work full time from home and homeschool the girls since the beginning of the pandemic.
    I was already overweight since my teenage years, and between March of 2020 and Nov. of 2020, I gained 20+lb, my annual physical visit with the dr. in Nov. scared me, the way she put my future in front of my eyes made me determined to lose the weight and do it right this time, and that is how my journey started. Since Nov. I lost 23lbs. The weight loss slowed down since Feb. and 3 weeks ago I started the IF again and it is helping get the number on the scale go down.

    The last couple of weeks I haven't posted anything but my weekly weight as I was overwhelmed with new job responsibilities.. things slowed down now and I finally got to enjoy the outdoor and sunny days. We got 4 small chicks and 2 ducklings for the girls and spent the weekend building their coop and fencing the area they are to stay within. We also bought a baby pool for now to have the ducks in and looking for a larger pond for later in the spring and summer.

    I plan to exercise more outside instead of going to the gym, good weather doesn't stay long here in Iowa and we try to get out as much as we can when the weather is good. We love to walk long distances, bike, hike and of course lots of swimming in summer.

    Hi, Quick intro, I'm starting a vacation later today..... B)

    I'm Lisa, I live in FL with my husband and my two college agers who are home for the summer right now. They are away during the school year. Struggled with weight all my life, has become more of a fight the older I get. Been in this group for over a year and I find the support so helpful! I'm originally from Wisconsin. I have not seen my family in almost two years due to Covid. They are arriving tonight and will be here for a week. Very excited! I'm going to do my best to eat mindfully and only when I'm hungry while they are here, and I've planned healthy meals.

    Have a super Tuesday!

    @TwistedSassette We had very serious thunderstorms yesterday too. I wish I could explain to my little dog that the clouds were just clashing together. She insists on doing massive amounts of barking instead. I actually feel very bad for her because she is so scared. Way to go on enjoying your boss’s birthday and compensating with a lighter dinner and a walk. That is the way to do it!! B)

    @askewcr I’m glad that the group is helping you to stay accountable. That is one of the main points of this group! I hope you survived OK through the storms too. :)

    @trooworld Nope, more rain and barking today! :grin: Yayy for staying away from those vending machines. Does it help you if you plan your meals and snacks beforehand when you are home, so you are prepared before the boredom munchies attack? :)

    @RYcare What fun to have baby chicks and ducklings! I bet your girls are loving them. Enjoy your time out in the nice weather! :)

    @Cornanda That is awesome that your family is coming to visit you! I hope you all have a wonderful time together. Good job on planning healthy meals. But do remember to forgive yourself if you go off plan a little. This is a special time to be enjoyed! <3

    Hi Team! Today was day two of the Covid shot and I woke up with a sore arm, feeling a little achy, and have had some chills off and on throughout the day. Hubby has been the same as me and my mom feels great. So, all in all we are pleased that there were no serious side effects. Tomorrow, I will get back to working out and I plan to go to the library and see what Keto cookbooks I can get my hands on.

    50 Day Commitment: Day 4
    1) Track Food and hit my macros (carbs under 30 grams total): Yup, I tracked it and my carbs were exactly 30 grams! I didn’t even eat an extra cinnamon Icebreaker because I didn’t want the extra carb. :grin:
    2) No snacking and no unplanned sugar indulgences: No snacks and no sugar!
    3) Workout 6 days a week (Including the Butt & Burpee Challenge): I didn’t do any workout today.

    These storms have been relentless but we have weathered them. A few trees down but no deaths. Today has been a bit busy with errands and such. I ate pretty good today and was able to stay under my calorie goal. (Woo-hoo) I even got a walk in today. I plan to rejoin the gym this week but am a little timid due to covid. What do you thing about the safety of gyms these days? (Planet Fitness) Hope every one else is safe and successful! Blessings!!!!

    Good morning Team Possibles!! I saw this on FB and thought it was so awesome that I had to "borrow it" ;) and share it with my favorite peeps!! B)<3

    Here’s something to motivate you so you never feel bad about losing “just” one pound!
    If you ever feel like giving up because weight loss is too slow or you reached a plateau, think about all you’ve already accomplished to get here. You’re doing great!

    Still not convinced? Here’s what you need to know.
    • Weight loss is not linear. There are days you’ll lose more, and there are days you’ll lose less, or even gain a couple of pounds.
    • There’s the initial (and completely natural) water loss which may give you the wrong idea about how much weight you should be losing per week. If you lost 5 lbs in week one, it's 100% fine not to lose any weight the next week. In case of hormone-related weight fluctuations, you may temporarily gain a couple of pounds. That’s fine too!
    • If you’re using a scale to track your weight, it may be misleading. You are losing body fat but at the same time you may be gaining muscle. The difference between the two is density, meaning that 1 pound of fat vs muscle can be very different in size. So next time you step on the scale, consider this as a factor.
    The key is to stop thinking "I only lost 1 pound" and celebrate. Losing 1 lb is amazing!

    @RYcare New chicks and ducklings...how cute! Yay for sunny days!

    @TeresaW1020 That's good. I already do that, pretracking. Does not help. Well, it helps to a point. Yesterday was good though, no boredom eating! I hope you find some keto cookbooks at your library and yay for no serious side effects! Thanks for that stuff you posted from Facebook. Very helpful.

    @TwistedSassette Yeah, it's hard. What is helping me is something from Beck: I tell myself it's okay to be hungry for a short while, that I will eat in x number of hours. How nice to have a visit from your dad! Sounds like you did well. A dance party sounds fun.

    @askewcr Yay for staying under your calorie goal!!! As for the gym, you could go and check it out and see their safety procedures and see if it would be something you would be comfortable with?

    Hello all. I did not get into snacks from boredom eating yesterday, I kept something I read in the Beck Diet Solution in mind: it's okay to be a little hungry and I was going to eat in an hour anyway. It really helped to remind myself of these things.

    @Katmary71 I'm always in awe of how you work through your pain. And its nice that you got some confirmation that its paying off. You've inspired me more than once to suck it up and get moving instead of curling up under a blanket and feeling sorry for myself.

    @TeresaW1020 I love that graphic. Its hard to believe how much space fat takes up. Let us know if you find any good keto recipes.

    @trooworld I like your idea of no "unplanned" sugar. I do better when I have clear rules to adhere to and when I plan ahead so I can see this being a good lifelong strategy

    @Cornanda so nice that you get to see your family. I'm excited for you. Can't wait until I can see mine again.

    Just a quick check in. It's a busy week at work with Mother's Day coming up and I'm finding myself sliding back into old habits. The scale is starting to creep up so I need to put a stop to that silliness before those extra pounds take up permanent residence.

    Check in day: Wednesday

    CW: 129.0 lb
    This weekend was my Easter and I swear I ate for an army, and today I couldn’t believe the scale for coming back ( Monday I was +5).

    I should mention that I am a facts and data person and a big skeptic, so giving into my sister’s suggestion was big for me. That being said, I had 2 acupuncture sessions for my frozen shoulder so far, and got better motion range and less pain after them. I also got 50 baggies of “teas”, which is more of a weird sludge that smells funny and tastes bad, but made me sleep really good for the last 2 nights. Just for this I’ll continue to pinch my nose and down them every day.
    The guy was saying that all this is going to nourish my organs and when they’re healthy and in tune, I should feel no nag/annoyance/pain/flare up. After 2 good nights I was thinking “so this is who I am and this is how I should feel?”.

    @askewcr Glad that you have weathered the storms. I think gyms are perfectly safe these days. Did you get your shot yet? If not then you might have reason to be cautious, but I still wouldn’t let it stop me from joining. These days gyms are cleaner than ever. :grin:

    @trooworld That is great that you stayed out of the snacks and Beck is right. No one ever died from being a little hungry. :grin: Heck this morning I was super hungry and had planned to eat when I came home from the store but mom left a bag at Walmart and we had to drive back up there and get all the stuff she had purchased because you can bet that someone took her bag that was left at the self-checkout. :# LOVE that graphic! How very true all those statements are.

    @Jactop I have tons of great Keto recipes on my Pinterest boards! It’s trying to find things that will fit my macros for the Protein Sparing Modified Fasting days that I planning to try. Lots of chicken, tuna, and egg whites seem to be on the menu! :grin:

    @GabiV125 Yayy for the scale not showing a gain for you this week. That is a great win! Wow, that is interesting about the “teas” and helping you sleep and feel better. Will you keep doing it? :)

    @leonadixon Nice loss this week1 I hope the stress calms down in your life. Do you find that riding your bike helps with stress? Exercise always helps me with mine. :)

    Hi Team! Today was a good day. I went shopping with my mom, did a bunch of housework, and made some Italian dishes for the local elementary that my church has adopted as our pet project. Tomorrow is teacher’s appreciation day and we are going to feed them well. :grin: I love looking at that picture of the 5 lbs of fat vs. the 5 lbs of muscle. If my body would continue to build lean muscle and my clothes sizes keep dropping, then I wouldn’t care if the scale budged at all. And it really is a very good reason why we should only use the scale as a tool and not the be-all of our weight loss success. ;)

    50 Day Commitment: Day 5
    1) Track Food and hit my macros (carbs under 30 grams total): Yup, I tracked it and my carbs were exactly 27grams!
    2) No snacking and no unplanned sugar indulgences: No sugar but I did have a few plain cheese tortellini from a salad that I’m making for a friend. Which is why my carbs are so high! :#
    3) Workout 6 days a week (Including the Butt & Burpee Challenge): I did a 30 minute cardio workout and the B & B challenge
    4) Fasting Hours (Goal is to 19+): 19 hrs. 12 min.

    @TeresaW1020 My daughter is a senior this year and supposed to graduate......next week....and I still don't know if she will. She really struggled this year in school working remotely. Anyway, that is the big source of my stress right now. The bike makes me feel like I have accomplished something. Not necessarily relieving it, but still good!

    @TeresaW1020 Great post and great imagery!

    @trooworld Yay for staying out of the snacks! I did the same in the afternoon yesterday, went looking for a snack when dinner was only 1.5 hours away. I wasn't gonna starve in that time! You're right, it's good to remind ourselves.

    @GabiV125 I'm glad that the acupuncture is helping your frozen shoulder. It's always nice when you try something that you're skeptical of, and it works!

    @leonadixon Good on you for still getting a ride in every other day, despite the stress!
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Well, I had another "just ok" day yesterday. I ate unplanned snacks, didn't exercise or meditate. My sister came around for dinner and she didn't leave until very late so it was a late night to bed too. I am feeling it today - really struggled to get out of bed for work! Luckily I have Friday off so I am hoping for at least a little sleep in. At least I did have a deficit for the day, despite eating over my MFP goal.
    My sister will be coming for dinner again tonight. She is cooking us burgers for dinner. I am trying to factor that in and preplan/prelog my day. Last night I didn't join them in drinking their beers (and I could feel the judgement, my family are all big drinkers but I'm not really). Tonight I think I will drink spirits with zero-calorie mixers, that will keep the calorie count lower!
    Looking at my chart below, I definitely need to get some more steps in to bring my average back up! I will be taking the toddler to our local show (like a county fair) tomorrow so that will be nice and I'll do a lot of steps walking around there I'm sure! On Saturday we have the local horse race meet, it's only on twice a year and we live right across the road from the racetrack so we like to go to the one event we can actually walk to lol. So I think I will likely get a lot of steps in on Saturday as well. For today, I plan to take the toddler for a walk this afternoon and do some yoga - hopefully before my sister arrives!
    Austin here. I am checking in late this week, and am going to work at getting back in the daily check-in rhythm.
    I am signed up for the Habit Tracker/50 Day Challenge, and am super happy about that. :smile:
    Today went well.
    🟢Food on plan (Dr F) & tracked
    🟢10 K steps
    🟢NO unplanned dried fruit/nuts
    🟢45+ min cardio + martial arts
    🟢Post to group & Tracker
    Intro
    I'm a mom and live with my husband, our teenage son, and a small menagerie (elderly cat, young frisky cat, 2 huge goldfish, a super opinionated indoor bird, and a flock of backyard chickens).
    I joined Fat2Fit a couple of years ago, part way through my journey. I have lost over 120 pounds since I started work on losing weight (January 2018), and now work to keep to a healthy weight. I am now working on to build muscle and fitness. I study martial arts and love walks (outdoor, indoors with Leslie Sansone etc.) and platform stepping (Jenny Ford on YouTube). I love to read both fiction and nonfiction.
    @TeresaW1020
    I love the idea of your Beachbody challenge, but I am afraid I will hurt myself doing Burpees. (Is there a word for this? Burpee-phobia?) Do you do them more slowly than the videos I have seen? 😨
    Hmm. I just found a video on half burpees. I will give these try and see if I can work my way up. 🐾
    @askewcr
    It does sound like you had a fabulous day! Keep it up! And time with the little ones sounds so, so lovely! 👍🏽
    @TwistedSassette
    I love all your planning. It is so inspiring!
    Also the local horse race meet sounds super fun. I have never actually been to a horse race (though I care enough to have watched the Kentucky Derby over the weekend). 🏇 :heart:
    @leonadixon
    Great weigh-in!
    I am sending you a hug as regards your daughter. If she ends up taking more time to get high school stuff done, she will not be alone. Lots of kids struggled this year. 👐
    It is super great that you are taking care of yourself by getting on the bike! 👍🏽
    @GabiV125
    I love data, too, and I do actually think that there is something to acupuncture, done right. I study martial arts and we pay attention to pressure points for martial use and also for healing.
    @trooworld
    I am such a YES to the "no unplanned" thing. I added it to my Habit Tracker this month. 🧨
    @Jactop
    Great weigh-in!
    I had not thought about your work being busier because of Mother's Day, but yes, of course.
    Okay, family calls.
    @Jactop Yeah, it seems very doable, right? That's why I like WW, I can have anything I want if I PLAN AHEAD. :) You've got this.
    @GabiV125 That's impressive that you had a big Easter and still maintained. Acupuncture has helped my shoulder and my knees tremendously but I find I have to go every once in a while to keep up the progress. I'm glad it helped you. That's great that you got better sleep from the tea!
    @leonadixon Congrats on the loss, impressive considering you were under stress this week!
    @TeresaW1020 Oh that sucks about your mom's bag! People stink lol. How nice to feed the teachers! You are right about the scale.
    @TwistedSassette Yeah, it's easy to just give in and snack. That's great that you indulged and still had a deficit. It's good you are already thinking/planning tonight.
    @askewcr Yay for a good day!
    @AustinRuadhain I'm glad you are joining us on the Habit Tracker. ;)
    HI all. I signed out of work early yesterday, my throat was sore and I was feeling very blah/sick. I slept most of the afternoon which also means I didn't snack. At 4:30, I decided to get out and get some fresh air, so I joined a WW Zoom meeting and walked while on the Zoom meeting. I love the meetings so I think it will be a nice "reward" for walking. I'm still not feeling well this morning so I think I will take the day off.
    @TwistedSassette never be afraid to be yourself. Mentally trade places with your family. What would you think of them if they didn't drink? Maybe you not drinking is a change they need a little time to get used. You've posted often about wanting to set a good example for your son and not caving to peer pressure is a skill that will serve him well throughout his life.
    @AustinRuadhain I have burpee-phobia too. Too many body parts don't work like they used to. Thanks for the link to the half-burpees. I'll give them a try
    I'm down to my last carrot so I need to do a grocery run today. I make better food choices when I have lots of produce in the house. My steps have been sad this week so hoping to have enough energy for a workout when I get home.
    Oh, dear, I am so sorry you are not feeling well today.
    And hurray for walking during your WW meeting.
    Side note -- is it just me, or is it interesting that "I signed out of work" is so immediately understandable? So many of us working via computer/camera. I have been telecommuting for a long time, but it is funny that it is now usual.
    Last night I didn't join them in drinking their beers (and I could feel the judgement, my family are all big drinkers but I'm not really). Tonight I think I will drink spirits with zero-calorie mixers, that will keep the calorie count lower!
    @TwistedSassette never be afraid to be yourself. Mentally trade places with your family. What would you think of them if they didn't drink? Maybe you not drinking is a change they need a little time to get used.     Jactop -- I love the reminder about not caving to peer pressure! For me, that has been absolutely critical in losing weight. There is so much social agreement for eating in ways and amounts that don't work for me.
    So @TwistedSassette, I will join Jactop in saying hurray for working on that balance of spending time with people but not feeling pressured into doing things that don't work for your health.
    Side note -- I do see the discussion here as using peer pressure in a way. Slimpossibles is a place where we all agree that we are working on fitness, and it helps to have that in mind in the rest of life.
    Off to work! And I need to grocery shop today, too, as I am almost out of carrots! Ooh, and I need to remember to schedule time for yoga today.
    @leonadixon I so hope everything works out for your daughter! This has been such a hard time for kids going to school and my heart really aches for them. I’m glad that the bike can at least help you with some of the stress you are under right now. <3
    @TwistedSassette Yeah, looking at your goals it looks like you have been derailed from what you want for yourself. But you have some good ideas in place to make up some ground that you have lost. Don’t let your family’s judgment of what you are doing or not doing influence you. You are on a health journey and making yourself a priority is important. The horse race sounds like a lot of fun! :)
    @askewcr Spending time with little babies is always fun! I hope the gym will work out for you and make you feel safe. :)
    @AustinRuadhain I have a Burpee phobia too and this challenge and the half-burpee is actually all I’m capable of doing at this time. There is no way that I can keep up with the number of burpees that are in this challenge, so I just plan to challenge myself with them. I do like the other challenge items and will enjoy doing them. You should do it too! ;)
    @trooworld Oh dear, you sound like you are getting a cold like I had a few weeks ago. That is awesome that you like the WW Zoom meetings. Will you do those and attend in person? :)
    Hi Team! Today has been my first day of doing the protein sparing modified fast that I decided to add to my eating plan. Basically, what it consists of is me eating mostly just protein and not a lot of calories. The calculator I used to figure out my macros has me eating 802 calories, 40 grams of fat, 10 grams of carbs, and 100 grams of protein. The logic is that it's low calorie which will help promote weight loss but high protein to preserve my muscle. It’s only recommended for short-term usage or two or three days a week. Today, I had my two cups of black coffee for breakfast, lunch was a Premier Protein shake and a Two Good Greek yogurt, snack was a Keto coffee (grass-fed butter and MCT oil), and dinner was 8 oz of chicken breast and 2 oz of Cabot 75% light cheddar. I feel great today and hopefully, the scale will be nice to me! :grin: Tomorrow, we are taking my mom out for an early Mother’s Day steak dinner so I will eat plenty of calories and enjoy a yummy baked sweet potato. <3
    50 Day Commitment: Day 5
    1) Track Food and hit my macros (carbs under 30 grams total): Tracked and I did really well with my target macros.
    2) No snacking and no unplanned sugar indulgences: No sugar or snacks
    3) Workout 6 days a week (Including the Butt & Burpee Challenge): lots of church cleaning
    4) Fasting Hours (Goal is to 19+): 20 hrs. 14 min.
    @askewcr Sounds like you’re a great day - spending time with littles is always fun!
    @trooworld Great job walking during the WW Zoom meeting! That’s a great idea to double up your time! I hope you’re feeling better soon.
    @Jactop Thank you for your encouraging comments. I can’t tell you how much that hit home. I read it before the family arrived for the evening and it really helped with my resolve to do what is right for me. The worst thing is my sister is bigger than me, with many health issues like high blood pressure, she’s desperate to be a mother but just won’t prioritise her health! I watch her down half a dozen beers at least, every night of the week, and I think to myself, there’s 700 calories that you didn’t need, not to mention how it must affect her sleep, inflammation etc. I feel sad that she can’t see the damage she’s continuing to do, but all I can do is follow my own path and encourage her where I can.
    @AustinRuadhain You’re right, that social agreement is the downfall for so many of us. Peer pressure is ok when it’s used for positive change, I think!
    @TeresaW1020 Glad the first day of your new eating plan went well. I don’t think I could drink coffee with butter in it :lol:
    I am very pleased to report that I stuck to my plan for last night! I skipped the chips, didn’t put cheese on my burger, and didn’t even eat the whole burger - I left about a third of it on my plate. I had three drinks of Malibu with Coke Zero, rather than indulging in beers with everyone else. This morning, my scale was down almost a kilo and I’m so happy that I didn’t get any water retention from the spirits I drank, like I usually get with beer. I’m proving to myself that there is a balance that works for me, where I can feel part of the social setting, indulge a little but still make choices that move me toward better health.
    Today I’m home alone with the toddler as hubby has gone for a day trip to do some shopping. The toddler has woken up with a runny nose, I think he’s been getting this cold for a while now but hopefully it doesn’t last too long!
