(These are ceramic Easter eggs that I found at my parents' house. My mom owned and operated a ceramics store when I was in my early 20s. I'm giving one of these eggs - likely more than 30 years old - to each of my kids this year.)

I can't get pictures to load from my phone. I did do one and gave it a web address and it downloaded under that. I can get them to load from my laptop.
I am still reading THE KEEPER by Charles Martin. I haven't read any of it today, but will probably start on it again this afternoon.
I am reading a short book: BILLIONAIRE'S BIRTHDAY DATE by Jo Grafford. I needed something light. I have two books in this series, so I will probably read them both.
I finished:
FINDING HOME by Angela E Powell. It was definitely a Christian book, but I had never heard of her. I will read another by her if it comes up. It dealt with a lot of family issues - depression, Alzheimers, disfunction, and a young man coming home to help deal with everything. I actually was expecting a romance by the cover, but it was not a romance at all.
LINEAGE OF CORRUPTION by Robin Patchen - It was a very good book, but the YouTube audio had some issues. I noticed it was long, but it repeated chapters…very confusing. It would have definitely been better to read in KU, but that expired yesterday. I will try the next in line, I have listened to others of hers and haven't had that issue, so hope it was just a one-off.0 -
I finished my re-read of Book 8 in Christy Barrett's TRUE CRIME JUNKIES series. Just started Book 9: ONLY ONE MORE LIE.

I finished FINDING PURPOSE by Angela E Powell. This was her first book and was the first in the series. She actually started book 2 first, but went back and wrote this book before finishing book 2. I enjoyed the book and its premises, but it had inappropriate language (2 instances - one from a handicapped boy in a melt down). I don't understand overtly Christian books with inappropriate language….even if it is fitting in the situation, it could have been handled without using the words in the book. The second book did not have that, so I think she learned in her first book that Christians don't appreciate it.
I am currently reading Nicole Deese's newest book THE VOICE WE FIND. It is a really good book.I need to get back to the Charles Martin book, it is good, but just not the kind of book that I want to read/listen for hours at a time.

Cindy - I should have read those last 2 True Crime books before I let KU go. I had them checked out, but just didn't get to them. With all of the library books I have been getting, they just kept getting pushed down the list.

Phew, y'all were busy reading!
Cindy, thanks for the info. I click the picture, find what I want in my gallery, click on it and nothing happens. Let's try again….
Oh wow, it worked! I guess it was just glitchy on Saturday! Woohoo!
I finished TIES OF DEATH which was better as it got to the ending, but I did skip through some of it. Definitely not my favorite in this fantasy series. I'm moving on to TIES OF FROST.
I'm working on JACOB'S WELL by the woman who's name I can't pronounce of remember, her initials are O T! LOL! So far it is pretty good.
I'm listening to I THINK I WAS MURDERED and it is so interesting. Why do I get the feeling that her friend Liv is involved somehow? We'll just have to wait and see. Talk about AI giving someone mental issues!
There are two or three more I'm working on.

I read the 3 books by Jo Grafford in the Birthday Island series, then read the 3 by Jenna Brandt. There is one more by Ginny Sterling. I am reading it now. These are some of the "plus catalog" on Audible. I am finding bunches of them, but most are virtual voice. I'm not sure what I will use my monthly credit on. I am wanting to use them for books I can't find on hoopla, libby or everand. I have had two books that I thought I would use the credits for, then realized they are on everand. Since they are changing the way they do their books, I won't renew my subscription, but since I pre-paid through mid-July, I need to take advantage of it.
I am interested in seeing how the plus catalog holds out on books through Audible. You can get a monthly subscription to just the plus catalog for $7.95 a month. That's something to think about when my 3 months run out.

I finished book 8 - MOST LIKELY TO DIE - by Christy Barritt (TRUE CRIME JUNKIES series). Then I read book 9 - ONLY ONE MORE LIE (finished late last night). I'm working in Milwaukee this week and was having trouble going to sleep. The bed isn't super comfortable and I'm having trouble getting the room to the Goldilocks temperature. Anyway, I went to download book 10 this morning and discovered it doesn't come out until June. Boo. So… I'm going to start BRUSH CREEK COWBOY by Liz Isaacson this evening. Hopefully we'll get out of here at a decent hour.

I started listening to the Discerning God's Best series by Heidi Gray McGill. I am really enjoying these books. They are historical fiction and available on KU. I have found the first 2 on audio, but there are 6 books altogether.
DESIRE OF MY HEART
WITH ALL MY HEART - current listenI am reading a Brooke St. James series, The Family Stone. It is good, but the heat level is probably too high for Kim.
THE SUITE LIFE
FEELS LIKE FOREVER
TREAT YOU BETTER - current0 -
I finished the Brooke St. James series. I enjoyed it, but again, it had some heat…nothing objectionable to me, but more than normal in Christian fiction.
I also found that I had the next in the Heidi Gray McGill series in kindle, so that is my current read.
MATTERS OF THE HEART.I have a bunch of audiobooks checked out, so I will find something before bed. I just need to figure out the ones that are due first.
I had a hard time today. A new Susan May Warren book came out through the library and I started to put it on hold, then remembered that I wasn't going to automatically read her books anymore. I like the ones she co-authors much better than her own books.

I finished BRUSH CREEK COWBOY by Liz Isaacson and downloaded the next one from KU - THE COWBOY'S CHALLENGE. I don't have a lot going on today, so glad I have my Kindle with me in the ballroom

I am currently listening to THE OTHER SISTER by Jessica Patch. Oh my, it is kind of creepy. I am reading AMONG THE TULIPS by Cheryl Wolverton (Love Inspired). I really needed a light weight to go with the Jessica Patch book. I will probably pick a lighter audiobook to listen to in bed….

I finished I THINK I WAS MURDERED by Colleen Coble, very good! Very twisty!
I'm still working on a few fantasies, as well as JACOB'S WELL, a suspense by Urcelia Teixeira, also very good.

Wow - talk about twisty, THE OTHER SISTER by Jessica Patch twisted all over the place. It was intense and almost creepy, but very good. Definitely a 5* read.
I finished a couple holiday Tamie Dearen books that came up in audio through the library. I realized that I actually owned them in kindle, as well as book #3, so I will pull it up and finish it soon.
Currently I am listening to SONGS IN THE NIGHT by Lynette Bonner. This is part #6 of the Wildhaven series (8 books). They are pretty good.
I don't have an ebook going right now, but will get one started sometime today.
I picked up a book from Libby that definitely appeared to be Christian Fiction. The first paragraph had 2 curse words in it. No thanks. It bothers me if there are 2 in the book….this is ridiculous. I hesitated to check it out because I hadn't heard of the author, but everything seemed to check out as CF.

I finished THE COWBOY'S CHALLENGE by Liz Isaacson and downloaded the next one: A NEW FAMILY FOR THE COWBOY. Started on that last night. And… I just finished that one. It seems like it was much shorter than the others. I've got the next one: THE COWBOY AND THE CHAMPION.

I kept up with Liz Isaacson books for a long time, then just kind of fell off the wagon the last few months. I think it's because I have been doing so much library reading. She does have a YouTube channel with audiobooks. I need to see if any of the newer ones are there...or free on audible plus library. There's a lot there…enjoying this 99 cent a month subscription. Still haven't decided what to use my "credit" for, I am just using the freebies.

I am re-listening to JOHN FLYNN by Janet Benge.
I started the last book in the Tethered Hearts series, TIES OF DUST by Deborah Grace White, so far it's very good.
I also started an LI Suspense a two story book called AMISH COUNTRY HIDEOUT - wow, starts out with a bang! Mary Alford wrote this one, Alison Stone wrote the second one.
I am still working on the second book in a fantasy series, the same one for weeks now. I just read a chapter at a time and move on. I like it, but it has the two main characters separate and it goes back and forth with what is happening with each, and I don't like that in a story.

I finished that next book in the Liz Isaacson series - THE. COWBOY AND THE CHAMPION. Starting the next one on the plane - SCHOOLED BY THE COWBOY.

I have read a few Love Inspired and Love Inspired Suspense books. They are my go-to when I am filling in around more intense books.
Also finished:
THE SUMMER OF YOU AND ME by Denise Hunter - her newest. Very enjoyable romance
SAVING THE ROOKIE by Jennifer Youngblood - part of her Jackson Hole Fire Fighters series. They are pretty good. There are tons of hers available free in Audible's plus library.Current:
SOME LIKE IT SCOT by Pepper Basham - it's pretty good, but I kind of have blanked out on it a few times. I always blame the book, but today, it is probably me being distracted.0 -
I finished JACOB'S WELL, it was pretty good. I'm going to give DANIEL'S OIL (I think that's the name, the next book in the series) a try.
I listened to the Amish suspense story for a bit last night and boy, it is suspenseful! Thank "goodness" for Amish men with shotguns! heeheehee.
Read some more in the fantasy TIES OF DUST as well. I'm really liking this one.
Listened to quite a bit in the John Flynn story. Wow, this man had such vision and moved mountains to see that the visions came to life!

I am currently reading COWBOY’S CHRISTMAS NANNY by Clara Pines. This is a Prime book and I have 4 others in the series already on my kindle, so I thought I would give them a try.
I am not sure what audiobook I will start before bedtime, but Jessie Gussman has a new one that should be on YouTube, so maybe that one. If not, I have plenty of others to listen to.

I read another of the Clara Pines stories and I listened to MEET ME AT THE GRAND by Lindsay Harrel. I really enjoyed it. It's the first in a new series that Susan May Warren is editing. I think she is the author of one of them. The island is in trouble because all of the businesses are going out of business and there is no tourism anymore. The Grand burned years ago and no one re-built. This is the story of a new "tourism manager" and her plans, including the re-building of the Grand Hotel. It seems a little like a Mackinac Island that hit hard times. I really enjoyed it.
Right now I am listening to HOPE'S ENDURING ECHO by Kim Vogel Sawyer. I always really enjoy her books, but this may be the best. It takes place outside Canon City, CO and has to do with a found dinosaur bone, and a bit of romance thrown in. 😀
0 -
I'll have to put the Kim Vogel Sawyer book on my wish list. I couldn't find it in my library or on Hoopla. It's sounds interesting!
I finished two last night, both fantasies: TIES OF DUST by Deborah Grace White, very good; and WROUGHT OF SERPENT AND SNOW by EJ Kitchens; this is the one that took me forever. I'm starting on the third in the series tonight.
I need to find another missionary bio to get started on, or I have several books by Andrew Murray, I may go ahead and start on those.

I really enjoyed HOPE'S ENDURING ECHO by Kim Vogel Sawyer. It is definitely a 5* read, but I am trying to decide if it is a 5+ read….those are really rare.
I also just finished A COWBOY'S CONVENIENT MARRIAGE by Jessie Gussman. I always enjoy her books, and I like that they release the audiobooks on YouTube the same day as the book releases. Since her books were always books that I read, it is nice to not have to depend on KU right now. I am missing KU, but haven't had any trouble finding good books … I have over 11000 on my kindle, plus the audible plus library, everand, libby and hoopla.
I realized that my everand yearly subscription (that I have really not used that much) expires within days of my audible 3 month subscription. Since everand has changed their service and my subscription will go to the new formatting, I have known that I would not renew. I am just not sure about audible. At this point, I am finding a lot of books on their "plus" catalog and it is 7.95 a month. That is really tempting. Some books that I expect to find there are not, and some that I don't expect to be there are there. Oh well, we will see how it goes. Whatever, I am enjoying it for 99 cents a month!
0 -
Even the $7.95 for an audio-listen is good because that is the normal cost for one audio book to buy and at the rate you go you would probably listen to 20 books a month from there! LOL!
Listened more to the Mary Alford book and the third book in the fantasy series. I started the book from Jim Elliot's tapes and it's very good.

I listened to a book by a new author. It was really good and there will be more in the series.
ANGEL OF SECOND STREET by Barbara Tift Blakey. This is a historical novel that takes place in Eureka, California. It is about a young woman that feels called to share the gospel to those that others ignore (Chinese workers and prostitutes). The problem is that she doesn't always use the best judgement on the way to do it. Thank goodness, she has a new boyfriend that helps keep her in line, a little bit. I gave it 5*. Wow, two in a row and the only two I have given this month are both historical.
I am still reading the Clara Pines Christmas books. I had several in my kindle and the first was available on Prime. They really aren't Christian, although shown as "religious" on Amazon, but they are clean.I finished EXPIRED FLIGHT by Lisa Phillips. I wasn't overly impressed with this one, my least favorite of the series, so far.
Current:

I am still working on EVERY WHICH WAY by Lisa Phillips. It is good, and I was listening to it in the car this morning, but am working on an ebook right now.
Davis Bunn has a new book out. It seemed like it had been a long time since reading anything by him, but I did read one of his Miramar series last year. This is a new series, and I expect it to be a similar feel to the Miramar series. I am really enjoying it right now.
FORTUNATE HARBOR - book 1 of his new Outer Banks series.0 -
OOO, the Outer Banks is where Wade and I like to go for our short getaways. I love it out there. We go farther down to the area where the Wright Brothers museum is and it's much more peaceful. Our pastor had three churches that he ministered to on the Outer Banks when he was new in the ministry. I'll have to check that series out!
I didn't get any of the Jim Elliot book listened to last night.
I did begin a new fantasy - CALLISTA AND THE ELF which is the fifth book in a series by this author. They are easy to read.
I am re-reading THE PRINCE'S CAPTIVE, a fantasy. The author has a new book of this one coming out with illustrations in it.

Yesterday evening I was going through my library books and picked the next one that is expiring to read. God's got a sense of humor and knows what we need when we need it. The next one on my list was FIRST LOVE, SECOND DRAFT by Becca Kinzer. This book was light and had me giggling though the entire first part of the story. It was exactly what I needed after a really awful day yesterday. I finished it this morning. It was about a novelist and a major league baseball pitcher that are divorced. The novelist can't write a decent book any more and the baseball pitcher gets fired right before the World Series.
I also finished EVERY WHICH WAY by Lisa Phillips. It was so much better than the one I finished by her a couple of days ago.
Now, I need to decide if I want a lighter book or a heavier suspense. I have Dani Pettrey's newest book checked out and a Love Inspired Suspense, but I think I will go to Audible and pick up the next in the Jennifer Youngblood series I started, and find something I have on my kindle to read.

I am still working through a bunch of Jennifer Youngblood's books. The ones I am working on right now are really light and easy. She does have some suspense, but I haven't tried them.
I read the newest Mosaic anthology, BIRDSONG. It was seven 70 page stories. I had pre-purchased the book because of a couple of the authors (Chautona Havig and Stacy Monson). I enjoyed the stories, but would have loved for them to have "more" to them. Next time I actually buy an anthology, I need to look at the page count and number of stories…but who can complain too much over 99 cents.
