    Hi all. Good evening.

    @Megan_smartiepants1970 I'm glad you were able to get out today in spite of the headache. May they keep getting better. Enjoy the walk.

    @MSWarrior7088 a win is a win. Nice steps and you got to eat with your son.

    @Poobah1972 I think I got a hernia just looking at that dumbbell. Have a blast working your way up to it. Very nice walk today.

    I know I wanted to comment on more posts but I can't recall them, even though I just read them. I'm sorry.

    Check in for 7/13:
    Steps - 4407. I will have more tomorrow.
    Calories - 1436. Included 3 mini cupcakes. I ate them just for the calorie hit. Didn't eat much calorie wise before dessert.
    Exercise - no. Lots of driving, even more stress. Grabbed a bottle of water instead of food.

    Story of my day. Sorry in advance.
    Drove 30 miles in rush hour traffic, when isn't it anymore, to get compression socks. That turned into a wasted trip since the v.a. hospital doesn't carry them. I have to get them from the outside, 2 miles from home. They could have told me over the phone, but no, they wanted me to waste 4.20 a gallon gas going 60 miles. I decided to get my chest gray and blood work while I was there. Radiology said a 45 minute wait for chest shoots so i told them i was going to get my blood draw while i waited. That took 30 minutes and the lady that jabbed me must be a sadist. She tried to reach my shoulder from my elbow. It was already bruising by the time she was done. I went back to xray and was told I missed my call. Had to wait an hour. 7 films later, only 2 poses, I was done. The tech kept having to reshoot since she couldn't find the bottom of my lungs. She came out, said I had very long lungs and moved it. 4 times. Are my lungs now hanging down to my belly button?
    I came home to eat a quick lunch before heading to another v.a. facility for 1PM appt. I didn't want to sit in my car thru lunch waiting for 1 1/2 hours. I got there 30 minutes early and waited an hour, notice the theme developing. It will be repeated again. Finally got to see the nurse and almost went down. He kept telling me how important low b/p is and I kept telling him I didn/t have a high pressure problem. 10 minutes of him droning on, not listening to me. We couldn't understand my dr's instructions so we did the test how we thought it was. Is wasn't. He had me wait in the lobby while he tried to verify the test with my dr. Waited for, yep, an hour. I got tired of waiting and walked out. He called as I was driving out of the lot and had me come back for the correct test. After laying down 2 minutes, b/p check, standing 10 minutes with checks at 2,5 and 10 minutes they finally realized I didn't have a high pressure problem. I have a low problem, which is what I had been telling them. Then they said I really needed to get to cardio. Really? I have only been trying for FOUR MONTHS!! Stress, frustration, cranky from lack of sleep last night, like a lot of you it seems, made for a small calorie dinner and the cupcakes. Only good thing was one was sugar free.

    I just remembered I get to go back next week for a shingles shot. What will go wrong that time?

    Just for fun, in the 10 minutes i was standing my numbers went from 118/78 pulse 72 to 98/66 pulse 120. Problem spotted.

    Glad your headache has improved. I didn’t know there was vitamins for headaches. Sounds like you guys had a great day shopping. Enjoy your walk today.

    @MSWarrior7088
    Awesome steps! Great job staying under. Did you enjoy your dinner out?

    @rwood566
    What a crazy stressful day. I am glad you are starting to get answers. Will you have to wait long to get into cardio? I am amazed at people who don’t eat when they are stressed. I just want to devour everything in sight. That is really low blood pressure. How has your back been lately? Did all the driving hurt it?

    I am so loving forward to a juicy rare steak. Thanks for the tip. Why do you need lots of salt when on keto? Salt is my enemy as I gain water weight if I have too much.

    Like I said before a professional gym has nothing on yours. Great job going for a walk on your lunch break. It would have been so easy to blow it off.

    @red1185
    That is commitment! Nice walking! I think one of my favourite things to eat is French fries. I don’t get them very often and when I do I carefully weight out my portion. Otherwise, I would just go crazy on them. I am excited to go to Newfoundland to get some chips, dressing and gravy. Think poutine with lots of dressing on top. Enjoy your meal at the French restaurant.

    @lindamtuck2018 thank you! I love French fries too! They’re yummy, but also so addictive. I’ve been wanting to try poutine. I love love love to travel, and Canada is on my bucket list of places to visit. Not to mention that in my mind food and travel go hand-in-hand. My motto is “eat around the world” 🤣. When I eventually get there, that’s definitely going to be one of the first things I order lol.

    I’m so sorry you had such a rough day with incompetent people, who won’t listen to you. I know that’s so frustrating. On the good side, though, it sounds like they may finally be on the way to actually helping you with your blood pressure, etc. Feel better!!

    Check in for Tuesday
    ✅Steps 6,888
    ✅Sleep
    ✅Walk
    ❌ 7/8 hourly reminders

    Did a short walk yesterday. Missed a reminder to move again. My back as been really acting up since Monday evening. I am not sure if it was the massage or if I have been pushing it too much. I am going to rest for a couple of days. My patience is wearing thin waiting for the specialist appointments.

    I am hoping the pool opens Friday so I can transition from walking to swimming. I am going to start using the recumbent bike also. The physiotherapist said I am not allowed to lift weights yet. If they don’t open the pool in the building I am going to look into getting a membership at the gym that’s about 5 minutes from here. It has a pool. I am also going to look into some deep water aqua fit at another facility. I have a plan so all is good.

    Happy Hump Day!

    Good evening everybody!

    I followed through and spent a lot of time on the treadmill! 100 minutes, 5 miles, and more than 10,000 steps! I put on a show, and just walked and walked and walked! I’m tired lol.

    I made burgers for dinner. 2 with regular Kraft sliced cheese, and 2 with Brie. I had a slice of Brie while I was cooking. I added sautéed mushrooms and caramelized onions - de-lish! I thought about buying frozen fries, but 2 things stopped me: 1. I have potatoes, and figured I could make fries myself, and 2. I remembered that I had frozen cauliflower tots already. So… I made the cauliflower tots - definitely a better calorie decision. They’re ok - they hit the spot for carbs, but I’m sure most of us can agree that nothing can compare to a fry lol.

    Anyway, I’m going to try to make very good caloric choices this week because tomorrow, 7/14, is Bastille Day. My family always goes to the most delicious little French restaurant for Bastille Day (I wish I was French, but sadly I am not lol)…and calories are not a thing that I count when I’m there. I want all the bread, cheese, and wine when I’m there. I guess that means more treadmill time for me, and that’s ok!

    I hope you all have a wonderful evening!

    Fantastic effort Rachel. And burger sounds delicious, were do for some burgers soon. :)

    I am so loving forward to a juicy rare steak. Thanks for the tip. Why do you need lots of salt when on keto? Salt is my enemy as I gain water weight if I have too much.

    Carb diet... Mean's the body builds glycogen both in the liver and in the muscle tissue. The creation and storage of Glycogen requires water (Thus increased water weight) and in that water in all those cells you will find salts and electrolytes.

    When On a Ketogenic diet, your body burns all sources of glycogen in your body (Liver and muscle tissue). Water weight get's flushed right out, and with it so does the majority of your Salts and Electrolytes. It's actually the Electrolyte Imbalance that causes the Keto Flu symptoms. (which can be avoided if you take increase salt, potassium, and zinc supplements, which I do through a 1.5 serving of a Keto/Vegan electrolyte drink).

    So yeah, I can literally eat as much salt as I want... As my liver is busy depleting salts all day long, Where as normally your liver stores them on regular type diets. I got the blood work to prove it. lol

    I consider it a perk of going Keto.. As Salt really is a flavor intensifier. And I love my food. lol

    Pool sounds great... Heck it was nice going to the Beach last Saturday. First time I took a dip in a long while. I even took my shirt off.. I'm long past carrying what any body thinks of me. Cause I'm awesome. lol

    The theater's are opening up on Friday. So I think I might just buy a ticket for me and Lynn to enjoy a show. :)

    Wacky Wednesday Everyone... 😃🤓

    I got my sleep, feeling back to normal. And when I say normal, I should say WACKY!!! 🤪

    Gota Keep moving this morning... So, I'll keep it short.

    I got up. I ellipticalled. I sweated (balls of course) 😆 . Showered, Yeep. 👍

    Hmmm don't mind the heart rate it clearly wasn't registering the upper range correctly today. Doh! 😛

    So now I just got a get through the workday, and I'll be able to come home to our Chest, Tricep and Shoulder workout. (shoulder is still bugging me unfortunately). 😐

    So, do get down to business, but don't forget to be a little wacky, especially on Wednesdays!!!!

    Love you guys!!! (Yeah I used that word) 💖🤗🤗🤗

    Under Calorie Yes
    Water 108oz
    Steps 9089
    Exercise 3mile loop at lake

    Met my dad early again for a walk. Probably won't happen again this week as he has to travel for work for a couple of days now. This weekend we are going camping. I'm going to make a couple different kinds of healthy muffins and maybe cookies to help with being snacky. I always want to snack while camping for some reason. @lindamtuck2018 I won't have access to my scale Saturday so can I weigh in on Friday this week?

    Absolutely! Camping sounds like so much fun. Nice steps! Is there different loops at the lake?
