    Good Evening Everyone!

Bea - Glad you had a great time at rally! You definitely have been busy. Congrats on your weight loss!

Fall is back! Today has been a great day overall! Need to remember to dress in better layers for my walks. Was a little brisk and ended up making a watered down hot chocolate with marshmallows. Switched on of my workouts with tomorrow's as I didn't think it was a good idea between my thumb I cut at work yesterday and that I knew how much pain I am in after work. I am off till Monday. Read through the employee handbook and started filling the paperwork out. I also managed to stick to the food plan for dinner tonight. Today at work I was on my own and only had to call my manager (friend) once 😁. No injuries. Dinner served on time and multiple complements on my cooking. Felt a little more at home in the kitchen with the

Today started out freezing for my walk with some strong breeze. Then it warmed up to cool but comfortable. Almost decided to go home not long after I started it was so cold. But decided to tough it out. Also completed the rest of my workouts. With the adjustment of no bands as it would bother my thumb, and also only did one set as it was bothering my hip and back area since starting work. Also did some cleaning in the kitchen.

    Good evening,

Fall is here too. The leaves haven't started to turn colors, yet. I read on Facebook, it's the season that you wear sweaters in the morning and regret it by afternoon.

Today was a good Day to just putter around the house. So that's what I did!

My job is feeding people that have mental illness issues. The age range starts at about 30. But don't think there are any old enough or ill enough for a senior home.

Today was a gloomy day with rain on and off. Not supposed to be much better for several days. My walk consisted of a 4 block perimeter for 2 laps. Other workouts done. Also got some paper work done as well. Son is here over night and we played Monopoly on the Wii. Also visited my friend for a little bit.

    Good evening,

This morning, I had nothing planned for the day. That didn't work out very well.

First, Doctor called about Robert's breathing test he had on Friday. He has COPD, which wasn't too surprising. She wanted him to start on a daily inhaler to help with his breathing. This is from his 40 year history of smoking, even though he's 12 years smoke free. So we decided to go to Missoula to pick it up.

As we were leaving town, Mary called to say that her doctor wanted her to go to ER. So we went to pick her up. We dropped her of at hospital, then dropped her off at hospital an did our errands. Then we went back to hospital to see how Mary was doing. It was a minor problem that could have been serious. We didn't get home until after 3 this afternoon.

Bea that definitely was the opposite of what you planned.

Yesterday was a lot of studying and training for work. Took most of the day. Managed to also make breakfast for 3 and potato salad. After all my studying my reward was a bbq at my friend's and some football.

Today woke up at 4 am. Got up and did some studying. When I got tired I went back to bed. It was also raining on and off again today. So as you could imagine my system was out of wack until I went to work this afternoon. Tonight the residents got ham, scalloped potatoes, corn, mushroom soup, and a butter tart. Talk about the carb and sodium overload. I think I might have gained just cooking and serving it😆. The important part was that they enjoyed the meal. Not sure how the scale is going to show the change in my life with a new job. Missed 2 days of exercise and over ate at least once. Oh well it is what it is. Not sure how often I will be able to check in. But will do my best.

    Good Evening Everyone!

Today overall has been a great day. Took me 3 buses to get to my TOPS meeting. Which was a little stressful as I had not taken 2 of those buses before. But I made it safe and sound. I was leader of the group today as the leader was not there. Come to find out his wife's aunt had a severe stroke on Friday. She is the lady that I clean for. Also found out that her breast cancer had returned. Anyways she is on life support and not expected to make it. Can life please go back to a more normal. I am not sure how I will handle this loss when it happens. Anyways I lost 1 lb this week. Work went well. Served spaghetti and meat sauce, garlic bread, salad, chicken and rice soup and canned pear slices.

    Good evening,

    You're a busy gal!

Just before we went to bed my brother called with bad news. Last week, his wife's brother did something really stupid and died because of it. He had COPD bad enough that he was oxygen. He'd quit smoking, not sure how long ago. Anyway, no one knows where he got a cigarette and he decided to smoke it, with the oxygen on. It exploded. I knew about it last week. Yesterday his son was driving home from work and another car crossed the center line and him head on. He died. Fran, the widow and mother, ended up in emergency room afterwards with chest pain. She was released last night. But she's not doing well. After all she lost her husband and her only child within a week of each other.

Today has been pretty quiet. Tomorrow I have TOPS.

    Good afternoon,

Here I am back in Missoula ER with Mary. Her hemorrhoids are worse. We've been here in waiting 1.5 hours and still waiting.

I'm going to a Ladies Retreat this weekend, leaving Friday morning. I didn't want to go, but got talked into it. I know I'll enjoy it once I'm there, it's just getting there.

    I might check in later.

Bea so sorry to read about all the loss. I know you will have a great time on your retreat!

Today was a busy day! Went for my walk and then went to Goodwill to get scrubs. Got enough to cover one week of shifts for about $70. That's 4 shirts and 5 pairs of pants. I think I am going to get addicted to shopping for scrubs 🤣. Still need to get my no slip shoes. The residents at work had hot turkey sandwiches, mashed potatoes, green beans, turkey gravy, soup and desert. Stopped by my friends on the walk home to update her on the happenings at work.

Today has been a busy day. Woke up at 5:30 am. Studied till almost 7. Then met my Son at the bus stop to go to his orthodontist appointment. Had to wait a half hour for his appointment so he treated me to a Tim Hortons everything bagel with herb and garlic cream cheese. After his appointment we headed back to run some errands. When I got home hung the laundry and started another load. Then worked on my next TOPS program till I had to get ready and head to work. Residents had beef stew, cream of potato and bacon soup, dinner roll and a Rice Krispy square. I made the stew and the squares. The squares were extra sticky. Now off till Monday unless I get called in. Was supposed to be going to a surprise birthday party for my SIL but she has COVID so it's postponed until further notice.

Today has been a beautiful day despite the cold temps this morning. Only went for a short walk as it was just to cold for me this morning. The rest of my exercise was running errands, step-ups and house chores. Sometimes I wish Hubby wasn't so lazy. Also did some studying and hoping to work on my TOPS program. See if I find time.

Today has been a busy day. Studied, ran to the grocery store for things I forgot yesterday. Then came home and worked on my program. After lunch went to Walmart and a few other stores. Bought my non slip shoes for work among a few other things. Had a great day. Back to the grind of house work tomorrow.

I do get quite a bit done each day which is great but my exercise has taken a back seat again. Which doesn't make me happy. But what can you do when you're the student, the house keeper, and the chef at home, plus all my other commitments? I am tired of constantly having to tell him like a child things need to get done. So my mornings and 3 days off are for house chores and studying.

Today was another productive day. Went for short walk, studied, finished my program for TOPS Tuesday, did the dishes and more laundry and some exercise. Still have to make dinner but it's easy.

    Good evening

I'm tired! 3 trips to ER last week in Missoula, with lots of sitting around. That was for Mary. Her hemorrhoids were really bothering her. Every time she got there, they would slip back in place, so they never saw them. The last doctor in ER referred her to another doctor. I took her to him today. He actually got to see the hemorrhoids. Guess what... It's not a hemorrhoid!! Worse, it's a prolapse colon. That requires surgery. So she sees a surgeon tomorrow. So it's yet another trip to Missoula.

Then TOPS on Wednesday and then we're going on a little vacation.

I am so glad that they have figured out what's wrong with Mary.

Today was another productive day. Studied, went for a short walk, did some exercise, dishes and laundry. Then off to work. The residents had chicken leg/thigh baked in BBQ sauce, mashed potatoes, green beans, gravy, cream of potato and bacon soup and chocolate chip cookies. They really enjoyed dinner. Came home to nothing done that I asked to be done. Also Hubby decided he wasn't making grilled cheese and soup and that he was ordering out. He knows how much I hate eating out the day before weigh-in 🙄. Anyways that's my day in a nutshell.

We are on the road now heading to Nebraska. We have no concrete plans on where all we're going. I'll keep you posted.

I turtled at TOPS this morning. I'll miss 1 or 2 meetings while we're gone. I was the Loser of the Month for September.

Today was more of a relaxed day. Studied, went for my walk, and did some strength. No laundry today as I want to put it on the line but rain is coming. Didn't have to wash dishes as Hubby didn't empty the drainboard and I did so told him he had to wash them. Of course still not done. Oh well. Residents had chicken breast in BBQ sauce, oven roasted potatoes, cauliflower, cheese sauce, mushroom soup and jello. Ended up working an extra half hour tonight because I had to do the other person's jobs. She is starting to take advantage of me. I didn't even get a break today from doing the cooking and still had to help her do her jobs. But not anymore. Told my friend about what happened at work and she said she would make sure I get paid for the extra 1/2 hour. I also told her next week I am not doing the mopping so if it's not done she knows why. By the time I got home it was later than usual and ended up eating wayyyy to many chips with dip. Oh well back at it tomorrow. Yay for a 3 day weekend of busy!

Today has been an odd day. Got up and studied went for a short walk as it was in the low 40s this morning. My pay did not come in today as it was supposed to. Took a nap after breakfast for 2 hours. Stopped in at work to find out what was going on with my pay. Then went to the mall to do a little shopping and have lunch out. Came home and went to my friends house. Brought her sister a birthday present and ended up going shopping with them.

    Good Evening Everyone!

It's been a busy weekend! But trying to catch-up on everything. Hugs and prayers to those who need or want them.

Saturday - went to work at 7:30 am to decorate for Thanksgiving for the residents. Then finished making cranberry sauce and Dreamwhip for Thanksgiving. Also packed and headed to my sister's. In the afternoon we went to my SILs surprise birthday party.

Sunday - Had breakfast at my sister's then we all got ready and headed to my brother's for the big Thanksgiving dinner. Had lots of food and great company. This is a picture of my one cousins son. He is a few months younger than the other one that I spent time with over Labor Day weekend.2s4gmkfq4dqy.jpg

Monday - Was Thanksgiving Day. Slept most of the morning. Went to work in the afternoon. We served the residents at the tables. They had turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, stuffing, sweet potatoes with walnut topping, cranberry sauce and pumpkin or apple pie with whipped cream topping. They enjoyed it and lots took their leftovers with them instead of throwing them out.

Today - Rest, weigh and TOPS day. Lost 2.75 lbs! Not sure how with only 3 days not over in calories, minimal exercise and water. But I will take it and try to keep it going in the right direction. Made the residents Sheppard's pie, salad, soup and jello with whipped cream topping. Another winning dish with them although several residents didn't show for dinner. But when you can please the picky eaters it's a great day.

Today was a productive day. Did half my walk as it kept trying to rain and it was to windy for an umbrella. Studied, did dishes and some laundry. The residents got ham, hash brown casserole, cauliflower with cheese sauce, potato and bacon soup and a choice of grape jello, chocolate chip cookies or butterscotch pudding. They really enjoyed the meal. I haven't made much they don't like. Found out today the reason why I didn't get paid yet. They claim the paperwork didn't arrive through the mail on time. So it will be on my next check.

    Good evening

I'm still around. It's difficult at times to post.

Colorado is tourist UNfriendly. One time, we got off the freeway to get lunch and were faced with a series of several roundabouts. We tried a couple times to get off for Subway. The third time we ended up back on the freeway going the wrong way. That wasted 30 minutes. It wasn't much better the next town. On the 3rd town, we finally found a Subway to eat at.

We've been in Utah. But now we're back in Colorado, the south west. Tomorrow we'll see ruins of the cliff dwellers. Then we'll be back in Utah. Later, We'll see Bryce Canyon and Capitol Reef. Then who knows! This is the most unplanned vacation we've ever had.

I know you're still around as you check-in daily on Fitbit. I personally hate roundabouts and I don't even drive.

Today was another day of productivity. Studied, called bluff on the rain and completed my whole walk, did some laundry and dishes, and also cleaned out a drawer in the kitchen. My coworker is testing my patience and one of these times my mouth will not be filtered. Today she did a lot of sitting and leaving work. Who leaves 5 mins after they start? My friend told me to text or call her the next time and she will make an excuse to show up unannounced. I am working hard to get a great meal to the residents and she's not doing what she's supposed to be doing and she wonders why I go quite. Residents had Salisbury steak patty, sauteed onions and peppers, salad, soup, roasted potatoes, gravy and coconut cream pie. Actually ran out of some things. Note to self make more gravy and sauteed onions and peppers next time.

Today started out chilly but warmed a little. We are also having some wind. Fall is back. Studied, went for my walk, did dishes, laundry and cleaned out another kitchen drawer. Also walked to and from the grocery store. I am enjoying getting things done on my days off. Hoping to get some meals made up so I don't have to cook after work during the week.

Yesterday and today have been busy. Things ended up getting moved around between the days. Other things got skipped. Why? You might ask. Well I ended up getting called in for work yesterday for 11 am. Had to serve the meal the other cook had prepared. Was not great. Wish I would've had time to fix it. They had a choice of multiple deserts, served with cream of mushroom soup, hot dogs and coleslaw. For dinner I served mushroom soup, chicken quarters baked, scalloped potatoes, corn and rice Krispy squares. Really enjoyed working with a different coworker that actually does their job. Didn't have to work today as the one I replaced yesterday surprisingly felt better after a few hours and called and informed the manager. So today was move air conditioner to storage and bring back the Halloween decorations. Thank goodness my friend is so flexible as she gives me the ride. Also made cabbage soup, did dishes and laundry. All things that was supposed to be done yesterday. Got my kitchen back to the winter format Wich means moving the freezer from the bedroom to the kitchen. Greatful my Son came after he got done work to help and cook dinner. He left after lunch today.

    Good afternoon

We got home last night about 8. Tired but elt good. It was a nice vacation. It was so warm in southern Utah.

It's cooler here. This is the last few days of nice weather this Fall. Friday and Saturday it's suppose to rain or snow.

I pulled a pair of shorts out of my suitcase this morning and put them on. They were a little tighter than I thought they should be, which surprised me. They were still comfortable. Then I checked the size. It was a size smaller than I've been wearing. According to my scales, I have lost a couple pounds.

I hope things work out between your friend/co-worker. That has to be frustrating.

    Good evening,

I hope all is going better for you. I'll be praying for you.

I'm not sure I mentioned it or not. Mary has been in the hospital for a couple weeks. She fell one night when she got up to use the bathroom. Her granddaughter called an ambulance to take her to the hospital. They admitted her and she's been there ever since. She was malnourished. So they are working to get her strength back before they release her.

She had a medical procedure scheduled for next week. She asked me to reschedule it. So I dud that. It's being put off for a month.

We went to Missoula today to stock up on things. I had no fresh food here. I do now! lol.
