    Good evening,

Today I stayed indoors all day and did just house walking. It's a cold rainy day. I'm still getting back onto the swing of things.

    Good Evening Everyone!

I know I haven't been around in awhile. Life has been crazy and beyond. Monday after work my sister called, my son had one of what we will call his episodes. So rushed down there to help deal with it and bring him back to my house. He went home on Wednesday night. Still had to work this week as well. Wednesday night after work I had a break down at my friend's and Hubby had to come get me. Thursday morning I woke up and cried until Hubby made me get dressed and go with him to the eye doctor so I wasn't home alone. He then took me to a couple stores just to keep me distracted. On our way home we stopped at McDonald's as I had not eaten probably in days and he just wanted me to eat. I struggled through the dinner shift at work and probably shouldn't have gone in but couldn't be at home thinking either. Today was pay day so that was good. They still owe me for Saturday when I got called in so it will be on my next check. I did some errands after visiting with my son's aunt from his dad's side. Today's food choices were very unhealthy but that's ok. Back on track tomorrow. Not sure how often I will be checking in but I will try to be in more often as things calm back down.

I did skim through all the posts.

Sorry to hear about Mary. Congrats on the weight loss! This week I lost another 2.25 lbs and was highest loser again.

    Good Evening Everyone!

Unfortunately it takes time to get all the help in place for my Son. But we have made progress today. I feel like we are all more on the same page. On to the next steps soon.

This morning my self-care was sleeping till 10 am. So most of my morning plans have been moved to tomorrow. Also have other things that need to get done. So may have to alter my plan again. I am just glad to being feeling better after our appointment today. I hope tomorrow morning I will feel more normal now that it's more out in the open.

I think I am getting back to normal again. Got up at my usual time and didn't go back to bed. Made chili and did dishes instead. Also did laundry and went shopping at the mall. Got several more uniform tips and a few pants, also found some accessories for my Halloween costume for Tuesday at TOPS.

A quick check-in. It's going to be a late night and an early morning. Today was another wonderfully normal day. The residents at work had ravioli, salad, garlic bread, mushroom soup and canned pears. Hope to share a photo of my costume tomorrow. Oh yeah my hours are getting extended as of tomorrow by half an hour. Woohoo. Also looking at an extra half hour at the beginning of my shift as well in the future. Trying to release some of the pressure off my managers shoulders.

Another beautiful day. Today was rest, weigh and TOPS day. Gained back the 2.25 lbs I lost last week 🙄. Oh well under the circumstances last week I am lucky it wasn't more. Working on getting back on track. We had a Halloween party at TOPS and one of the ladies sent me a photo she fixed up for me🤣.e4bwqq0xu6qd.jpg Also did my nails this morning for Halloween.jw1k8hayrlgv.jpg There has been some tension at work. Trying to figure out how to deal with it. The residents had chicken breast, oven roasted potatoes, green beans, gravy, veg soup and pumpkin pie with whipped cream.

    Good afternoon

Mary is home from the hospital. I'm hoping her granddaughter had a wake-up call on things. She's been using Mary for many years, including babysitting (raising) her children. Mary now needs her help. She needs to grow up and start caring for her grandma. We'll see how that goes.

There has been more snow in the mountains nearly every day since Sunday. Here in the valley, it's been rain, some days showers, and others a steady rain.

TOPS was this morning. I forgot my jacket, so walking was inside. I'm not sure how I forgot my jacket. I gained 1.6 pounds. Grrr

I am keeping Mary in my prayers. I agree it's time for her GD to grow up. Unfortunately some never do. Don't stress to much about the gain. You'll lose it in no time.

Today was a gloomy day with some rain. Managed to get my walk in and while making breakfast got called into work for 11am. That left me just over an hour to finish making breakfast, eat, and get ready for work. Luckily lunch was easy and ready to go. So I started preparing stuff for tomorrow's dinner. For lunch the residents had ham and swill on a bun, macaroni salad, creamy potato and bacon soup, and vanilla or chocolate pudding. After the lunch shift I ran down the street to do a side job that was very last minute and then go back for the dinner shift. The residents had pork chops, carrots, broccoli and cauliflower, homemade rice pilaf, left over soup from lunch and chocolate eclair. Today at work was sooooo much better. Found out the lady I work with thinks I am constantly on my phone contacting my friend the manager 🙄🤣. My phone is next to the kitchen phone or charging while I am at work. Talk about calling the kettle black. She lives in hers.

Today was a great day but cold. Went for my morning walk, had breakfast which included a hot chocolate to warm me up. Then ran some errands to get more walking, came home, had lunch and got ready for work. Also did some studying, dishes and laundry. Residents had ceasar salad, lasagna, chicken and rice soup, garlic bread and canned peaches. So glad to have my 3 day weekend. Well not completely as my friend needs help with a work thing and we need to work on the menu's so it's more organized and everyone knows what's going on. Will also help control the food costs hopefully. I do not see pay for that part but I don't do it for the pay. I do it to help her. Oh I also found out that since Tuesday I am getting paid for 2-6:30 now I get paid for all the hours I am in the kitchen.

Today ended up as a self-care day. Got up and did the finances then went back to bed and didn't get up till 11 am to take my pills. Messaged my friend and told her I wasn't coming over as I am just tired and also had to get my flu shot at 4:30. Worked on finding some new recipes to make for the residents. It's starting to get boring. Went for my flu shot and got my 5th COVID shot at the same time. Luckily I have another 2 days off. Hopefully my arms aren't sore by Monday.

    Good evening,

Sounds like things are working out at work for you.

I got another steroid injection in the muscles of my neck today. So my neck is more painful tonight. That should be better in the next few days.

Mary is doing better, but is still weak. I'm getting a little overwhelmed with her appointments. Mix that with my appointments..... I might be asking for help.

    I am only one,
    But I am one,
    I cannot do everything,
    But I can do something.
And because I cannot do everything
I will not refuse to do
The something that I can do.

I'm not sure if you've ever heard this poem. Sometimes I repeat it to myself. It's a good reminder.

    Good evening

Today has been a nice Fall day. I walked this morning with sweater, rather than a jacket. I ended up taking the sweater off before the end of my walk. When I finished my walk, I left my door open for a couple hours.

The rest of the day, I did chores around the house.

Mary is so lucky to have you as a friend. Just remember asking for help is ok. You definitely can't do everything even if you want too. Love the poem. I believe I have heard it before.

Today started out foggy and lasted most of the morning. Ran some errands to get a walk in. Went to my friends to work on menus and helped her decorate for Halloween. Also got some dishes laundry and studying done.

Another very foggy morning. Got up and studied. Then got ready and went to church. There was only a handful of people for the service. According to one of the ladies there was about a handful of people missing. As it's the early service and the older version of the service I am not surprised that it's a small group. Next week I am taking my Son to the later service which is more of what he is use to. It's what they refer to as the Alternative service. Then came home made breakfast, did dishes, and laundry. Also went for a couple short walks and got everything ready for tomorrow to go to my friends. As we are having a Halloween BBQ tomorrow after I get off work.

Halloween was awesome! Enjoyed getting to hand out candy after I got to my friends house after work. Which is always my favorite part. Of course had a great time with Hubby and friends as well. Residents had chicken, mashed potatoes, mixed veggies, gravy, vegetable soup, and butter tarts for dessert. They also got a little treat bag for Halloween.

Today was rest, weigh and TOPS day. Gained 3.75 lbs. This is definitely frustrating but I will just keep trying each day. Got some laundry and dishes done. Work went well for the most part. There was an issue with a couple of the residents and it did bother me but kept my composure for the most part. The residents had ceasar salad, spaghetti and meat sauce, cheesey or plain garlic bread, cream of potato and bacon soup, and tropical fruit cocktail. Dinner was the request of one of the residents as it was her birthday today.

Today was a beautiful, warm, sunny day. Got my walk in, did step-ups, and inclined push-ups. Also did dishes, laundry and cleaned some other areas in the kitchen. I am determined to force myself to make a routine. Working on finding my Son a therapist. Hard to find one taking patients. Today the residents had ham, scalloped potatoes, green beans, soup and rice krispie square. They had to wait an extra half hour for dinner as I didn't notice the oven was set to 200 instead of 350. Oh well. They know it's worth the wait. Tomorrow at work might be interesting. We'll wait and see.

    Good evening,.

It's been a busy week. Or it seemed like it. Our church had Trunk or Treat. I gave out almost 200 Treats. There was 240 hot dogs given away. It was very successful.

Tuesday, I did a lot of relaxing.

Wednesday, I had TOPS, I was the Loser of the Week with only .6 pound loss. I didn't have time for my walk here in town, just the TOPS walk. We headed for Missoula for my appointment with the optometrist. I'm still not ready to have my cataracts removed. So I pay $360 first new lenses. grrrr

    Today, I puttered around house.

You definitely sound like you had a busy week so far. I wish we got that many kids at our place. That would be awesome but also expensive.

Today was another beautiful day once the fog moved out. So glad I got my planned exercise done. Also studied, finished the dishes and got some more laundry done. My Son showed up unannounced for the weekend while I was at work. Oh well no big deal extra time with him. The residents had pulled pork on a bun, homemade mac and cheese, California mix veg, mushroom soup, and butterscotch or vanilla pudding.

Today has been a beautiful, busy and productive day. Went for my walk, went to the bank to check my balances (frustrating I can't do it on my phone), cashed in alcohol bottles and cans and picked up a few needed groceries. Also played a game of Deer in the head lights, took a nap and did my calf raises and inclined push-ups. For dinner my Son and I made shrimp alfredo, coleslaw, and cheesey garlic bread. Tomorrow is another busy day off.

Also worked on laundry and dishes. Also went and hung out with friends sor a bit this afternoon. Now watching Bones while Hubby naps.

    Good evening,

I walked early this morning and it was windy. I'm not sure the wind knew which direction to blow. I watched the flags and it blew from every which direction.

I talked to a couple of my kids on the phone, making plan for Thanksgiving. You already had your, didn't you. I somehow missed it.

Yesterday, I took Mary to Missoula for her monthly shopping. She did ok with it but she was really tired.

Yes we already had Thanksgiving in October.

Today was another cool but beautiful day. Went to the 8 am and 10 am church services. I enjoy the early one and Son prefers the other. I have no problem taking him to the later service. We had coffee hour after the first service and a small luncheon after the second service. It was the Church's 170th anniversary. Did a couple of errands after the luncheon and then made a small lunch of blts. Spent the rest of the afternoon playing Transformers Monopoly until it was time for Son to get ready to head home. Didn't get any workouts or chores done but that's ok. Back at it all tomorrow.

    Good evening

Today was really busy. First, I had a dentist appointment for cleaning. No cavities. Then I made a quick stop at home before I picked up Mary for her doctor appointment at 11. She's a lot sicker than she thought. Her oxygen was really low. So now she's using a nebulizer and taking more medications. We'll see how that goes. She has another appointment on Thursday. Ugh! We didn't get home until 2:30. Roads were awful because of snow. Traffic was really slow at 25 mph. I heard they closed the highway between here and Missoula to emergency travel only because of accidents.

People just don't slow down when the roads are bad.

I've been doing indoor walking as I've had time today.

    Good evening

The highway were good this morning when I went to PT. Our city streets are a sheet of ice with no gravel or sand on them.

Tomorrow is TOPS. I think I'll do well. We'll probably walk inside tomorrow before the meeting. If the parking lot is icy, it's not safe to walk on.

I'm sp ready for the warm days of Spring.

Bea you definitely have been busy. Glad you're staying in to do your walking. Good luck at TOPS.

Yesterday was thrown off by my phone not charging over night. Then forgetting it at work. Good thing I didn't have TOPS this morning as the meeting was cancelled due to a Church meeting. Today's plans were sort of thrown off due to me having to wait till I could go grab my phone from work. The good thing was that I helped my friend figure out some of the dinners while I was there. Today as there was no TOPS I weighed at home and my scale as informed me that I have lost 3 lbs. For dinner the residents had penne and meat sauce, ceasar salad, garlic bread, soup and fruit cocktail. Yesterday they had chicken breast, rice, corn, mushroom soup and vanilla cake with blue vanilla icing.

    Good afternoon,

I was the Loser of the Week at TOPS this morning, for the 2nd week in a row. I lost 2.1 pounds this week. It started snowing during our meeting and it's still snowing. Ugh!

We planned to go to Missoula today, but put it off until Friday. It's a good day to stay home. Our TOPS walking was indoors this morning. The parking lot was not good for walking. Too much snow and ice.

Bea Congrats on your loss! I am glad that it's still been nice here but kind of wish it would snow just a little. Great choices to stay safe.

Today has been a very productive day. Went for my walk, did inclined push-ups, and calf raises. I am trying to teach myself that something is better than nothing. Did the last of the dishes and more laundry. Also studied and worked on my bookclub assignments. For dinner the residents had roast pork that just fell apart, mashed potatoes, cauliflower, cheese sauce, gravy, tomato soup, and chocolate chip cookies.

Today has been another busy productive day. Sometimes I wish I could go back to COVID lockdown just so I can concentrate on me more. Oh well just need to find the new normal balance. Anyways, Studied, did dishes, laundry, planned walk and exercise, ran errands to give me another walk which included carrying groceries home, also picked all my grape tomatoes. Will use the green ones to make green tomato bread. The residents had open faced hot turkey sandwiches, mashed potatoes, green beans, gravy, beef soup, and jello. Had another issue with my coworker trying to force people out faster and shut down service early. Don't understand why we have to go through this once a week.

Today has been cloudy. We were supposed to get rain but haven't seen any yet. Went for my walk this morning. Also studied, did dishes, laundry, my other exercise and got the green tomatoes all cut. Tomorrow I will make green tomato bread and freeze the rest for another day. Didn't feel as productive as I wanted but I know I got a lot done.
