    Good evening

Maybe your co-worker has something going on at home, so she needs to leave earlier?

It's been busy for me. Mary has a bad cold. Last week she saw her primary doctor 2 times and I'm the one that took her. She is doing better. She sees her primary doctor again on Tuesday. She has a covid test and blood tests on Monday (in preparation for a surgical procedure on on Thursday). If all goes well, she'll be able to have this procedure on Thursday. This is the procedure she was supposed to have a month ago but was not able too.

In the mean time her hearing aid quit working. So I have to yell at her so she might be able to hear me. She has an appointment after her surgical procedure on Thursday to get it fixed. So this coming week is another busy week.

    Good Evening Everyone!

If my coworker needs to leave early she should have never fought for the extra half hour. Plus if it's once in awhile all she has to do is talk to the manager as that's what I do.

It snowed most of the day and stuck for awhile but not on road or sidewalk. Did my 3 Mile walk HIIT video and my strength. Concentrated on working on my bookclub book so I wouldn't fall behind. Also worked on laundry and got all my dishes caught up again. Oh yeah also made green tomato bread today. Son showed up tonight and is staying till Monday sometime. Not a planned visit but will make it work.

My MFP app won't let me log in...grrrr. Oh well. Won't be tracking till I get it working. Doing it on my phone with the website is way to slow.

Today has been cold with a few flurries. Went to Mom's church as we had flowers in the alter in memory of Mom and Dad. Mom always did them at this time as my Dad passed away in November of 2008. They also had soup day and bake sale to raise funds for a local organization. After that came home and did some laundry. Took my huge blanket to my friends as she has a washer and dryer to clean it. Watched the Lions with there game then came home to watch the Raiders and get more stuff done. Back to work tomorrow. This week is going to be an extremely long week as I will be working 2 full days as I need to learn the breakfast and lunch shift. I am also working Friday as the girl who normally works dinner shift that day got a new job and can't work it. Lots of hours this week. Tuesday I get off half hour early as I have a fairboard meeting @ 7:30.

    Good evening

We went to church this morning. Then we ate out. The rest of today. We've spent at home.

Early tomorrow morning, I have PT. Mary was supposed to go with me to get blood tests and a covid test. The covid test is in preparation for her surgical procedure on Thursday. So she made an appointment for 2 PM for the covid test. That means, I'll be making 2 trips tomorrow, that I hoped would be one trip. This is 30 miles each trip. I'm a little aggravated about it.

I hope your logging gets fixed. Logging is important for weight loss and maintaining.

Today was cold but sunny. If it wasn't for Hubby my Son and I would have missed the bus. As we knew we were going to be early for his appointment we had planned to have breakfast at Tim Hortons. His orthodontist appointment went extremely well. He came out and said "There's good news and bad news." Of course I ask for the good news first. "The orthodontist says my mouth is moving and he his happy with the progress." Then I ask for the bad news. "I have to come back in 5 weeks." LoL he is so funny sometimes. He then got picked up for work. On my way home I stopped to grab a few groceries. The residents had garden salad, spaghetti and meat sauce, garlic bread, potato soup and chocolate chip cookies for dinner. Since I posted last night more has been added to my schedule 🙄. We are doing Christmas cookie baking on Saturday with the family. Mom use to do this but now I have taken it over. So on Wednesday morning I need to get the cookie dough made ready as it's the only morning I have available. We normally wouldn't do the cookies till December but with the family Christmas before Christmas and my oldest nephews hockey tournaments it is what it is.

That's definitely alot of driving. I am logging by hand for now. Not as good but at least I can see what I am eating. Just don't know if I am in range. Unfortunately don't have time to deal with it this week so choosing not to stress about it.

    Good evening

I've been thinking about doing logging the old fashioned way, with pen and paper. It's easier to go back and look what you've been doing.

I'm so over-tired. I'm wondering if it's from a new medication that I'm taking. I called the doctor's office this afternoon. Now I wait for the doctor to call back.

It's still feels old but the temperature raised up to 32 degrees.

I don't care for the paper kind of tracking but it works. I just don't care with having to do the calorie counting myself anymore. I hope your being tired has more to do with everything you're doing than medication.

Today has been cold, rainy and snowy. My weigh-in was not good but not to bad. Based on the scale at TOPS I only gained 1.25 lbs in 2 weeks.
The residents had sausages, oven roasted potatoes, gravy, vegetable soup, corn, and lime jello with fruit cocktail in it. Got off work half hour early and came home to Hubby with takeout. Rushed to eat in 15 minutes before my ride came. Went to the fairboard meeting and got out at a decent hour. On to tomorrow.

Today has been a very busy cold day. Did my 3 Mile HIIT video, made the cookie dough and have it refrigerated, went shopping for the icing I need for Saturday among several other items. Got home in time for lunch and to get ready for work. The residents had beef stew, a bun, mushroom soup, and apple crisp for dessert. Tomorrow is my first day of training for the breakfast and lunch shift. Have to be there for 7 am. It's going to be a long one. Not sure I will make it in tomorrow. But will try.

    Good evening

Today was a "marathon day" or at least it felt this way. Mary had to be at the hospital at 6:30 this morning for her medical procedure. That means I had to be up at 4:30, leave here at 5:15, leave Mary's by 5:30. All was on schedule. That's leaving about 20 minutes to spare.

The problem was, it snowed last night and was still snowing when we left. We barely got there on time.

The procedure went really well. Her pancreas was feeling good. She is home and resting.

I'm still tired. After today, I would expect to feel tired. lol We'll see how I feel tomorrow and this weekend.

I had a weight gain at TOPS yesterday. It is what it is.

Wow definitely a busy day for you. Mary is so lucky to have such a good friend. You'll have that gain gone in no time.

Today has been a long day after only 5 hrs of sleep. But it was a great day. Learned an easy way to make over easy eggs and how to use the fryer. For breakfast the residents had cereal, easy over eggs, bacon, and toast. For lunch the residents had poutine and soup and a choice of apple, blueberry or cherry pie for dessert. For dinner the residents had chicken stir-fry, rice, soup and fruit cocktail for dessert. As I was at work from 7 am till 6:30 pm with an hour break between 1 and 2 pm no official exercise today. Now to go to bed to do it all over again tomorrow.

Today has been a snowy, cold day. Not sticking since it did over night. It has been another long da. But today I got to do it mostly in my own. As usual I struggle with the timing. But also the cooking in batches is different and did that at all three meals. The residents had for breakfast scrambled eggs, cereal, breakfast sausages, and hash browns. For lunch they had pizza burgers or plain burgers, tomato soup, and vanilla or chocolate pudding (I was surprised at how many don't know what a pizza burger is). For dinner they had oven roasted potato wedges, fish sticks, cauliflower with cheese sauce, and tomato soup, and cherry crisp for dessert. I am behind on so much in my personal life. Oh well one day at a time. Oh I almost forgot....The other day my Son called and asked if I needed help to decorate for Christmas. I told him that I didn't know if I would have time this year plus don't really have space to put all the bins till after Christmas as I will not move them back and forth from storage that many times. Then I said oh wait I did decorate. I bought a chocolate Advent calendar and put it up and that's all I need🤣😏

No my shifts won't be like that regularly that is just because I was in training for breakfast and lunch shifts and had to work the evening as the regular cook has dropped her Friday. I go back to regular schedule unless get called in.

My Son is very thoughtful and it surprised me as he always seemed to hate decorating at my Mom's. He does know how tiring my job is as he did co-op in a restaurant kitchen.

For those that don't know what a pizza burger is. It's a burger on a bun with pizza sauce and pizza toppings. The residents had pepperoni and mozzarella cheese.

Cold and sunny. But the snow has now started moving in. Not sure what morning will look like. But I see a dusting so far on rooftops. Anyways got up at 6 am as normal. Did my posting that I had to do for a group on Facebook then went back to bed. Didn't get back up till almost 11 am. Had to be ready for my ride by 1 pm. Just barely got ready in time. Took my Son to get everything lined up with the mental health team in our city. He will be kept busy and get the help he needs while done work for the season. Then we continued on to my brother's to do cookie's. Turned out really well and had lots of fun. My brother bought Chinese for dinner. Tomorrow is church and then who knows maybe bed as I am still really drained.

    Good evening,

It's very cold here. It was 2 degrees F. this morning. I'm not sure what that is Celsius. Between ice, snow pack, and extreme cold, I can only walk inside.

My brother called this afternoon to say my last aunt is dying. She would br 102 in January. So I guess its time.

Mary is doing well with here pancreas. That's really good!

You are definitely much colder than we are here. Glad you're getting movement where you're warm and safe. Sorry to here about your Aunt. But glad Mary is doing well.

Today has been freezing with snow most of the day. Walking to and from Church definitely is a test in this weather. But glad for the insensitive to get my butt moving this morning. Enjoyed coffee hour after Church. At home I made brunch for Hubby and I. Did dishes and laundry as well. Got my program for TOPS finally done. Just have to organize and staple pages. For dinner Hubby and I had chili and cornbread. Back to work tomorrow and training the new cook for dinner shift. This is going to be interesting. Hehehe

    Good evening

It's warmed up yo the mid 20s today. It sure feels a lot better.

My fitbit isn't working. I rebooted the watch. Rebooted my phone, Uninstaller the fitbit app, and reinstalled it. Nothing worked, so I called tech support and told them all that I did. So they checked my account. It was then they found that the network is down in my area. Grrrr The watch does work, but doesn't connect with the app.

    No word about my aunt.

Tomorrow. I have PT. Mary is going with me. While I do PT, she will get blood tests done. They are in the same building. Then I'll take here to a doctor appointment.

We're having just a weigh-in at TOPS on Wednesday because our Thanksgiving is on Thursday.

Today, I baked 4 pies and made a batch of fudge.

Today was an off day. Slept most of the morning and then got up did some dishes and laundry before work. Felt better while at work. But did discover that my left shoulder is bothering me. Not sure what happened. Maybe I slept in it wrong. Hopefully it feels better soon. Does cause discomfort at work. Tomorrow is TOPS and I am doing program about fiber.

    Good Evening Everyone!

Today turned out not to bad. It was sunny and reached the low 40s F. Gained 1 lb this week. I was honestly surprised it wasn't more. I'd did program at TOPS this week. Should have proof read what I typed and printed out. Oh well. There was a couple of issues with the residents today. But that is expected when dealing with people that suffer from mental illness. I stood my ground when needed. They had chicken legs, oven baked potato chunks, peas, potato soup, turkey gravy and pears for desert. Had to get creative along the way as we ran out of potatoes and then chicken. So glad to get out of work on time tonight.

Happy Thanksgiving to those who are celebrating!

I don't have to worry about the Thanksgiving gain as I went through it in October as I am Canadian and that's when we celebrate.

Today was sunny and fairly warm. Not sure if it was warmer than yesterday but it felt like it. Got quite a bit done today. Worked on my bookclub assignments, laundry, dishes, and even decluttered some extreme dust. Also did a bit of strength but not enough to count for my team. The residents had ham, scalloped potatoes, carrots, chicken and rice soup, and brownies with icing. Also had a resident come in and want me to make him his mac and cheese. Not sure when we became a restaurant. Hopefully the manager can put a stop to this before others start expecting the same treatment. Where I work it is more like a retirement home instead of a hospital setting. Meals are done in a cafeteria setting. Most of the residents are in there 30s and 40s and have mental illnesses.

    Good evening and thank you.

We started out this morning calling Malia, our granddaughter. I put the phone on speaker and we all sang happy birthday to her. That was her biggest surprise today.

We are at pur son's home with his wife and kids. It was a hood Thanksgiving, but I acted like a turkey (gobble gobble) and got stuffed. But it tasted good.

I'm not sure when we're going home. Sunday is the plan, but it's also a snowy day. We might go home on Saturday instead. We're watching the forecast.

    Good Evening Everyone!

I am glad you had a great day! Don't stress about how much you ate. To me it's normal. Although when I am celebrating I use a smaller plate than everyone else. This forces me to take smaller amounts so I can have everything and not feel so bad about being over.

Today was a warm and sunny day. Started raining on my way home from work. It definitely was a productive day. Worked on my bookclub assignments, did some exercise, decluttered another shelf of all the dust bunnies, had a call back from Hubbies disability worker and got the file off suspension as it was her fault and also got a couple other things straightened out, laundry and dishes. Also walked to run my errands. Got home in time to put groceries away, have lunch and get ready for work. The residents were all very well behaved tonight. For dinner the residents had cabbage rolls, California mix vegetables, oven roasted potatoes, tomato soup, and a choice of vanilla or chocolate pudding. When I ran out of cabbage rolls they got leftover lasagna we had frozen. Tomorrow is going to be a fun day I hope. Will tell ya'll about it tomorrow.

    Good evening

This morning, I had to decide whether to be naughty or nice for breakfast. Naughty won out. I had some apple pie for breakfast. I knew if I had my normal good healthy breakfast, I would have pie later this morning anyway. . So I kind of made a better choice.

My aunt Stella passed away. Funeral will be the first of next month, which could be next weekend. We'll probably go to my brother's house.

There is too much junk food laying around so I went over again.

It looks like we'll go home tomorrow. Weather looks bad (snowy) on Sunday. We have 3 mountain passes to go over.

Bea - Sorry about your Aunt. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Today has been a busy day. Got up did some online check-ins. Then went back to bed for about an hour. Then got up had breakfast and got ready to leave. Went shopping with my Son and got a Birthday gift for tomorrow's party, also got slippers, and hikers for me and a couple of presents. Came home had lunch and then cleaned and reorganized the bedroom with my Son's help. One step closer to getting the Christmas decorating done.

    Good morning

We are on our way home now. So I should be within my calorie range today. Most of the holiday goodies are either gone or left behind.

Tomorrow the forecast all the way across the 240 miles has snow in the forecast. Today is a better travel day.

My aunt would have been 102 in January. She lived longer than nearly everyone does. A long life!

    Good evening,

Other than church this morning, it's been a quiet day at home. I'm feeling tired today.

My aunt's funeral is on the 9th. It seams like a long time after death. I have to call one of my doctors to change my appointment on the 9th. It's the one for my neck. I hope the appointment isn't too far out.

Glad you made it safely home! Cookies were definitely fun. I actually found it less stressful than past years. Not sure if that had to do with Mom not being there or if it was because the kids are all a little older and able to do more.

Yesterday afternoon went to my cousin's 1st birthday party. It was so much fun! He always makes me laugh and smile. Him and his brother refer to me as Auntie Connie. As their parents want it as a respect thing.nch05t88hvu3.jpeg

Today was a quiet day. Went to church for the 8 am service as I do every weekend I am not otherwise busy. I also went to the 10 am service as that's the one my Son prefers. I only attend that service when my Son is staying with us for the weekend. When we got home we made banana chocolate chip pancakes and scrambled eggs with ham, onion and cheese for lunch. We did a little decorating for Christmas as most of it is still in storage. I also took a short power nap. The rain and darkness all day didn't help motivate me much. Oh yeah also did 2 loads of dishes.

Kids always makes holidays fun! The younger the better! They have so much wonderment.

I had a doctor appointment this morning. Then this afternoon, I did some grocery shopping for Mary and brought them out to her.

I don't remember if I mentioned this or not. But something really amazing happened on Thanksgiving Day. Mary's 2 kids had a decades old anger toward each other. I know the whole story and understand why and how this happened. Mary's granddaughter decided its time to "bury the hatchet" before Mary dies. She invited everyone to Thanksgiving dinner. At first Josh was not going to go. Then the 2 of them had a long conversation on the phone and resolved the conflict. When the saw each other on Thanksgiving, they hugged. Never on my wildest dreams, would I have seen that happening.

I am glad Mary got to witness that. It's one thing I regret that Mom didn't get to witness. But in away I don't think it would have ever happened when she was alive as I believe she was feeding the conflict between my sister, brother and I.

Today was another off day. I am so tired of these off days. Got up at regular time. Posted for an online challenge I lead. Then went back to bed and slept on and off till 9. That's when i got the call that my friend needed me to come into work early. So by 10 I was at work and my day ran 15 minutes later than usual. The residents had chicken wings, french fries, vegetable soup and coconut cream pie for lunch. For dinner they had spaghetti and meat sauce, garlic bread, green beans (lettuce is outrageous price wise), vegetable soup, and a choice of cherry cheese pie, apple cinnamon cake, or coconut cream pie. Sometimes you just have to use up leftovers from the weekend and lunch. Tomorrow is TOPS (weight loss group), and weigh day. Not sure how I did. But I know that I am trying each day to do at least some of my healthy habits.

Some how missed posting here last night. Ooops... The important part was that I lost 0.75 lb this week.

    Good Evening Everyone!

Today was a busy, cold day. Even snowed this afternoon and evening. So far nothing's really sticking. Did some laundry, worked on Christmas cards, and ran some errands all before going to work. For dinner the residents had chicken breast that was done like poaching in seasoned chicken broth to keep it moist, mashed potatoes, gravy, carrots, a choice of 2 soups and rice krispie squares that I added a little cocoa to the marshmallows. Love when my residents give me feedback on my cooking. They definitely do vary. From never having anything but praise to the ones who will tell you exactly what they didn't like right down to the black pepper LoL. Normally tomorrow would be my Friday but nope not for the foreseeable future as we only have 2 cooks who can work the week days. Life just got busier.

    Good afternoon,

I gained at TOPS this morning. For one thing, I normally drink a glass of water first thing each morning. I don't usually do that on TOPS days. This morning as I swallowed the last bit, I remembered I wasn't goig to do that. That half a pound. But I would have had a small gain anyway. It'll show on the scale next week.

Tonight, our church is having a Chilli cook-off. I won't win. Mainly because, I make a really family friendly Chilli. I depend on the flavor of the ingredients mixing together to taste good, even children. The common idea today is the only way Chilli is good is that it's so hot (spicy) that you can taste anything except
    the spiciness.

I started on this post this afternoon and kept getting interrupted. I did win the chili cook-off... no surprise!

I wanted to go to Missoula tomorrow for shopping, but it's suppose to start snowing tonight at 9 and quit tomorrow afternoon at 5. Not sure it's a good idea. I might have hubby take me to PT tomorrow morning.
