Barb. I love the ultrasound of your soon to be born precious grandchild. Thank you for sharing. I am praying for your daughter-in-law that the breathing and sleeping will improve. Also praying for a safe delivery. That both Mom and Baby are kept healthy. Evan is such a sweetie, love his smile and blond hair.

Susan. So sorry to hear that Colin is suffering so much with pain in his shoulder knee and back. Praying he will be restored and healed. So sorry your asthma woke you up with coughing. Thank you for your king comments on my surprise birthday party my daughter gave me. Glad you enjoyed the pictures and videoโ€™s. And yes our own beds are the best for sleeping better.

Linda, thank you for your kind comments about my FaceBook Posts of my Birthday party. I donโ€™t do well with travel and being out in noise. Never used to bother me until cancer and multiple surgeries. It took all Sunday and most of Monday to recover. But I know one day this will be behind me as God brings healings in his time! Hope you had a good Apple day, what will you use your apples for, I can almost smell an Apple Brown Betty! Yum Yum ๐Ÿ˜‹ sorry about the rain and high winds, stay safe!

Off to bed now! ๐Ÿ˜ด See you tomorrow! โค๏ธ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿค—

Good morning all. We had a better night's sleep last night. Thank you all for your prayers.

Yes, Florida is in trouble. Our news went oddly silent on the situation though. I did hear itxwas a Cat 3 storm by the time it crossed the land? I sure hope there was less damage than predicted.

We are travelling to Bundaberg today for a look around. I need to get ready. Take care, all of you. ๐Ÿ™

So glad your party was good Judith. We appreciate all you do for us.
Prayers for you Judith. When do you go again to drs? ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™

A busy day with going to Joy group at church for lunch. I made the 7 layer salad. I have left overs, so thatโ€™s nice.
Then I watched Mariposa for only. a hour. Our son got home early so that was nice. I got some ironing done.
I have craft at church tomorrow then got some errands which may go to Saturday. We will be in the upper 80โ€™s Friday & Saturday then we may get fall temps.

    Susan
Glad a better sleep I hope you havenโ€™t tonight too & Hope your trip was good too.

    Linda
6 pies thatโ€™s a lot of work. Did you freeze any? Give them out?

I may be quick here. I am having computer problems with MFP. I just says "connecting" but nothing happens. At least I am getting on here for a few minutes before something may happen again.'

We cut and froze pie apples again today, I think we have about all the apples off the tree now except for a few scrawny ones. I have a total of 14 pie apples done. Judith you asked what we are doing with the apples. It will mainly be for pies. Glenn has hypoglycemia if he eats anything with sugar in it. When he eats sugar, his blood sugar plummets because his body produces too much insulin. He can have fruit sugar so I sweeten the pies with concentrated apple juice. Apple Brown Betty, apple cake and apple cobbler sound good but I do not make them.

Susan - I am glad that you had better sleep last night. It does make a difference in how a person feels during the day if they miss sleep! I have to get up really early tomorrow morning because I have to go to Vail for another pre-op visit. The one I did before is too old for them to use with this new date. I signed things but the signatures are only good for 30 days. It will be a little over 30 days with the new planned surgery.

Barb - any rain in the future? Our rain did not last long yesterday but every little bit helps.

Thank you all for your kind comments on my Surprise Birthday Party. It was lovely.

Barb, so nice you watched Mariposa today. Your Temps are really high, you are certainly getting some very warm weather. Your 7 layer salad sounds so good. My Mother made that salad for many years, always good.

I came here early today worked on all the threads but didnโ€™t post on this thread.I felt good earlier but right now just not up to par. Anyway wanted to check in and say hi and let you know you are always in my Thoughts and Prayers.

The People in Florida are suffering and have lost so much, some families have lost members, have lost their homes lands and some business are lost. We need to keep the people in much prayer. The State of Florida have much to do in helping the people and there is still much restoration recovery and healing of every man women and
    child!

Linda I had same problem earlier today with MFP and at times just closed on me in middle of posting. Hope your pre op goes well tomorrow. Itโ€™s too bad you have to do it over again. Thanks for letting me know that Glen has Hypoglycaemia, yes I can understand that you wouldnโ€™t bake the things I was talking about.

Susan, safe travels to Bundaberg. Hope you enjoy all the sights. Hope you can take some pictures.

Have a good night all. Good Night Blessings ๐Ÿ˜ดBe back tomorrow!

MFP closed on me too and I lost a post I was making. I'm going to try to remember to hit 'save draft' a lot while I am typing. Like now.

Judith, I hope you can get some good rest so you feel up to par again. Yes, Florida has been badly hit (and the victims of Hurricane Helene are still in trouble too). I am praying for them all. Our trip to Bundaberg was nice. I did get some pictures. We'll see if MFP lets me post any.

Linda, yes, a good sleep majes a lot of difference. I have actually been sleeping more the past few days as I am trying to stave off a virus that includes headache, sore throat and stuffiness. I have even been having afternoon naps! Glad you have a Dr visit planned to get your surgery sorted. Have they given you a date for the surgery?

Barb, I agree, looking after Mariposa for an hour would have been nice. Glad you enjoyed the Joy group and have craft to look forward to.

Bundaberg is a nice town. We went to a hardware store then looked for takeaway coffee and found a hazelnut flavoured one at a cafe. Then we went to a Macadamia nut Factory that had a learning centre, shop and Cafe. We couldn't take the dogs inside so went in one by one. We each bought macadamias - dry roasted, BBQ flavoured and dark chocolate clusters. It was a very nice place. Then we found a farm that sold the vegetables and fruit it grows and stocked up. A lovely day!

We made it to the pre-op appointment in plenty of time but had to leave very early (at least early for me). I was glad Glenn was there to fill in the blanks in my brain that was sleep deprived. It was only a two hour drive both ways so that was nicer than it would have been if we came from Grand Junction. All is set for the 22nd of this month. Now i need to make phone calls to reschedule my PT, my "NICE" machine (ice machine), my dental appointment (it is next month but he wants me to wait for three months) and tell Vitalant where I go to donate blood to stop asking me almost daily to come in. I have to wait three months to donate also. I will not know the time until closer to the date. They call on Friday before and let me know when to come in. Surgeries start at 6:30am so those people come in at 5:15. They schedule until 3:30 so depending on which group, they have 5 people come in at a time to get ready. I am glad they have a hotel close by that gives special rates to surgical patients that is next door to the hospital. We will go there the night before so I can be close to the hospital if I am in the first few groups.

MFP is behaving it's self today. It was so frustrating yesterday and if sounds as if some of you also were having problems.

Judith - I am sorry that you are not feeling up to par. You have had a lot going on lately. I appreciate that you came to post but as Susan said quite a while ago "count your spoons". Rest well!

Susan - The macadamia nut learning center sounds interesting as well as the flavored nuts. Do the nuts grow on trees? I don't know much about them other than what they look like in my mixed nuts I buy. I hope you get to feeling better soon. Naps during the day are one good thing you can do. My daughter went to urgent care yesterday with similar symptoms along with muscle aches but no sore throat. She was told that this is a virus that many people are having and there is not much to do except take medication to control they symptoms. She was tested for COVID as well as the flu and they were both negative.

Great pics Susan! The ceiling fan is amazing so big. The blades are sure different. I donโ€™t think we have anything like that in our post offices.
    How is Colin? ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

Linda. Glad you got a date for the surgery. I guess thatโ€™s in 2 weeks. Hopefully the time goes fast.

Well tomorrow we may hit 90*. If it does the last time was in 1891. Long time go. The. Monday & Tuesday our lows re in the 30โ€™s. So i will be bringing in my Christmas cactus & Thanksgiving cactus plants I am trying to get them to bloom for their right season. I got some buds forming in the Thanksgiving cactus.
I finished my first ever tie lap blanket in craft day at our church. Iโ€™ll try to send picture of it. I got another lap blanket to tie next week. We are going to Donte the, to a shop who has a store for needy families.

    oabh5bpw2eoc.jpeg

Our grandson Eli, who is 10,& lives in Branson, Mo, has Scarlet Fever. His folks thought it was strep but it became scarlet fever. His sister Kaelyn, 12 has strep too Eli has asthma so pray please.

Judith. I hope you get feeling better soon. Plus prayers for your place.

As for rain. none is in the net 7 days maybe in 2 weeks. Itโ€™s very dry here. I got to maybe cut the o,d perennials & get rid of the plants with the 36* local coming. At least the to,Arles. Iโ€™m not ready to cut back my roses yet.
I am still trying to get rid of the moles. Not sure if I have made it bette, but I think so.

    Prayers for all.

Barb, glad you liked the fan. It was actually at the Macadamia nut farm. The fan blades are meant to look like Macadamia nut tree leaves. The post office had a clock tower, which was unusual. Colin is resting again as his back is hurting. He doesn't get much relief from it. I am praying for Eli and his family, poor things. Your tie quilt is beautiful! I hope you can get all the results you want from your garden. Those moles must be a big problem.

Linda, good to know your surgery date. Praying for nothing to delay it this time. It sounds like you have a very good plan worked out for the surgery. Yes, the Macadamia nuts grow on trees. I think you might call them Hawaiian nuts? They have been growing in Australia a long time, as well as on the Hawaiian Islands. Here's a picture of some from Colin's favourite flavour (you can just see a hint of Archie to the right!), and a Macadamia nut tree pic I found for you.

    q9wqmvgqu7ow.jpg

The farm was established in 1958 according to the packet. Their orchards look a lot like this:

    es0djkrg3x1s.jpg

The napping yesterday helped but I am still getting over this virus. I do have more energy today after several days of low energy. Glad your daughter has a virus and nothing more serious. I have a nice tea called Throat Calm that helps a lot with mild things like this so am sipping some now.

Thinking of you all and praying for you.

Kansas City the town we live in is suppose to be a bbq capitol of USA. I donโ€™t think we do bbq macadamia nuts. That sounds interesting.
    Prayers for Colin.
Thank you for the info on the fan.
Eli is starting to act like himself. But his asthma is really not so good. They went to urgent care & got him in steroids. Probably prednisone.
I was wondering about his asthma. He always has problems with it
They have a nebulizer & probably need to use it every 3 hours. Keep praying. Prednisone is very good & should help him.
    Thank you for the prayers.

Susan, love the pictures you have shared last two posts, the Fan at the Macadamia Nut Learning Centre, yes I see a hint of Archie, sweet boy, and the picture of the Post Office. You are seeing at lot on your travels. My daughter and I always loved Macadamia Nuts, so good! Interesting to see that the farm was established in 1958. I love History, learning about cultures and when things were created. Love the picture of the Orchardโ€™s.
Hope you get over your virus soon my friend, probably good you are sleeping more, good to rest your body.

Barb, continue my prayers for your Grandson, hope the prednisone helps him. Love the picture of your tie lap blanket. Never seen one before, it is so lovely, you said it was your first one youโ€™ve ever made. Wow, such a lovely blanket and great accomplishment! I am sure you will want to make more now that you have succeeded in making your 1st one. I have a Christmas Cactus that has really taken off, I had to cut my original back as it had almost died but now it is so healthy and really growing, I hope I get some blooms on it for Christmas. You said you have a Thanksgiving Cactus, now thatโ€™s one I have never had, can you take a picture of yours, Iโ€™d love to see how it looks compared to the Thanksgiving one.

Linda, glad you had your pre op and Glenn was able to help you with the areas you were needing help to bring up info your sleep deprived brain was lacking. I will keep the 22nd in prayer for successful surgery. Itโ€™s a good idea to stay at the hotel near the hospital so if they call you in early you donโ€™t have to drive for any length of time. I am feeling better today and yes pacing myself and counting my spoons. I was here earlier posting but had a lot of calls coming in so here I am now finishing up with getting caught up.

Itโ€™s our Canadian Thanksgiving weekend. My son and wife are in town and will take me to my daughters for a short visit. Will have the special autumn soup for my dinner and a smoothie and probably a tea latte!

Have a blessed Lordโ€™s Day and enjoy your Sunday services and time with family.

Continue to pray as the massive clean up is underway in Florida. My heart goes out to the families who have lost so much.

    Good Night God Bless ๐Ÿ˜ด๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ˜‡

Happy Thanksgiving to my Canadian friends! Is your thanksgiving fairly close to the one we have or is it different with a different menu, etc?

Judith - I am glad that you are feeling better. You are getting out quite a lot lately. I am glad your family takes such good care of you. What is "Autumn Soup"? Soup sounds good right now with the cooler weather. Are the workers on schedule for your renovations of your condo? I hope you can move back in soon but then there is the unpacking that will need to be done which will take some time.

Barb - I am praying for Eli that he feels better soon and the steroids help his asthma. Children seem to bounce back from illnesses quicker than us who are a bit older.

Susan - thanks for the picture of the macadamia tree. I hope you are feeling better from your virus and that Colin gets some relief from his back pain. It sounds like your "Throat Calm" might have helped me with my sore throat. It is such a relief to be rid of it!

Glad to hear your sore throat is gone, Linda. Unfortunately I seem to have a cold for sure today. The throat is still scratchy too but not as sore so maybe I'll get better each day from here. Colin gets little relief from his back pain, unfortunately. He just keeps doing what he feels he should do though. His tailbone was really painful last night.

Happy Thanksgiving, Judith and Marilyn. I hope you enjoy your soup, Judith. Does it have pumpkin and sweet potato in it? I'd put carrot and potato in it too and add cream at the end. Yum. I don't think I'll be doing any sightseeing today. Too much coughing and sniffling going on.

Barb, praying for your grandson. His asthma sounds like a lot to cope with especially when he has Scarlet Fever on top of that.

Happy Thanksgiving tomorrow if I recall, that itโ€™s on a Monday.
Have not heard anything about Eli so no news good news. We pray.
We may go see them last weekend in October, as that works good for them.
The leaves are different. Iโ€™ll try to get pics. I moved the, inside as we are to be 40* tonight & freezing Wednesday. They canโ€™t be below 40. So it may need to wait till tomorrow if itโ€™s too dark.
There is a Easter one too flowers are about the same itโ€™s the leaves
    Prayers for all.
Hereโ€™s pics. The Thanksgiving is with an orchid has some buds already . One has rounded leaves maybe Christmas & the other pointed.

Thank you all for the Thanksgiving Blessings. Today is Thanksgiving in Canada.

Linda, You asked about my Autumn Soup? It is a name I chose: today I am having two different kinds of soup: Butternut Squash Soup and Roasted Red Tomato ๐Ÿ… and Pepper ๐Ÿซ‘ soup. The other soups are Sweet Potato and Yam Soups. All my favorites. my prayers continue for your upcoming surgery. Today will be a housecoat day. I came home from my daughters home after Thanksgiving not doing great, issues with jaw mouth and face. My family had a lovely Thanksgiving. It is always good to be with family.

Barb, continued prayers for Eli, thank you for explaining the differences of both Thanksgiving and Christmas Cactus. I have always had a Christmas Cactus but never a Thanksgiving one and with you sharing in previous post I had never heard of that kind before. Love the pictures you shared, thank you. I will check the local florists and inquire if a Thanksgiving Cactus is available in BC or even anywhere in Canada. It probably will be a Google search on my part. Will let you know what I discover.

Susan, praying for you and Colin. Sorry you have a bad cough and cold and Colin has back pain. Your soup is like mine except this time no pumpkin in the soup, always carrot in the soup too and I add cream in all the soups. Yummy ๐Ÿ˜‹

Off to rest now. Will try and come back tonight! ๐Ÿ˜Š

    Happy ๐Ÿฆƒ in Canada.
Eli stayed home today. Please keep, pray No. Itโ€™s his asthma
I heard that my cousins wife died on 10/7. This is in PA. I called him, which I avoid as you canโ€™t get off the phone. He is probably unsaved. Please pray. I presented the gospel even quoting John 3:16 & Romans 3:23.
I stopped at our old church & got. Track. To put in our sympathy card. Itโ€™s from Billy Graham. His name is David. Heโ€™s got to brothers so just pray for the Nippes family to come to the Lord please.
Finally colder neee as it was 90* on Saturday. We have a freeze warning on Wednesday. Not sure if we need to bring in the hose or not.
I did put dirt & 2 bags of mulch Luis cutting down the roses & my oh,ox today. I still have one vell, pepper that I need to cut back today or tomorrow.

    Prayers for Colin.
Your soups sound yummy Linda. Harry came home with 2 Panera soups so I may have some tonight.

    Praying for all.

Thank you for the photos and information about the plants, Barb. I have the Christmas cactus but not the Thanksgiving one. I haven't seen it before. Will pray for your cousin and Eli. Is his sister feeling better yet? Thank you for praying for Colin.

Judith, happy Thanksgiving. Your soups sound yummy. Roast tomatoes and bell pepper would be so good. The Butternut squash is counted as a pumpkin here. Is this the one?

    fb5uf3kv6amk.jpg

I roast it for soup too.

My cold isn't letting go and all I want to do is sleep. Not the holiday we dreamed of, but that's life.

Our usual 4 hour trip over the mountains turned into a 7 hour trip. They were doing rock scaling for safety as they do construction so we were stopped for a while as they worked. The traffic was really busy going into Denver but since we were going the other way toward Grand Junction, the traffic was better. One thing that took longer was our son is camping close to our house doing fishing and family activities. We stopped by to see him and they ended up having us stay for dinner. Earlier this month, our granddaughter and son had their birthday party but we were not able to attend so we brought them presents too. We got pink cowgirl boots for our granddaughter that were covered with sparkles. She seemed to really like them. We ended up slicing and peeling enough apples to make 29 apple pies. My hands are sore where I was putting pressure on the knife (it was dull) to peel them. Sometimes the peel was also hitting against my finger which felt like it was causing a bruise. We have a friend who can sharpen them but I did not think about it before we left home.

Susan - I hope you get to feeling better from your cold. We can not anticipate getting sick before going on a trip and surprises happen. I hope you get to enjoy some of your vacation and Colin's back feels better.

Barb - praying for Eli and your cousin. We need Jesus so much in this world. I hope he will be touched by the tract and have a desire to learn more about salvation.

Judith - it is certainly soup weather here. My daughter made two types of soups for me to freeze for later. She made beef vegetable soup and butternut soup. Both are so delicious. We tried another soup while I was there but we did not get to make any more than just what the family ate. It was called Enchilada soup. It is filled with peppers, chicken, black beans, corn, salsa, and cream cheese. I will make it for out church potluck this Sunday and hopefully I can make enough that there will be some left to freeze.

I need to get to bed to get rested up. I have not unpacked my suitcase and it may stay that way until tomorrow. Good night all - pleasant dreams! ๐Ÿ˜ด๐Ÿฅฑ

What a marathon trip, Linda. Hope you get some good rest. Wow, 20 more apple pies! That was a good effort especially with your sore hands.

Last day here at Woodgate today. I now seem to have Bronchitis and Asthma so will be glad to go back home in the morning. The dogs will miss the beach. Colin will also be more comfortable with his sore back and knee.

Linda. 7 hours is a long day. I know Denver can be very busy. Glad you are ok. Prayers for your ministry. Plus 29 pies. I donโ€™t think I could make that many that a lot of pies & pie dough

    Prayers continue for Judith.
We still need rain maybe next Monday though only 30%. We are to have a freeze to night . So I covered some of my plants. I had cut the roses back yesterday so thatโ€™s good.

Barb - I am so sorry Eli now has pneumonia along with his asthma. We are supposed to get rain this weekend but I will not take it as truth until I actually see the raindrops. Our forecasters can be very wrong somedays. I did not make complete pies. I only peeled and cut in slices all the apples then froze them. I will add the filling later when I need it. Some days I do not even do a pie crust to save calories but if it is for company I do use a crust.

Susan - I am sorry that your vacation has not been what you wanted it is be. Bronchitis and asthma is no fun. I pray for a safe trip back to your home and a good rest for both of you.

Judith - Praying for you also.

I slept in late today. Most of the reason was that I had my window open a little bit and it was letting in cold air. I was snuggled in my blankets and just did not want to get up and close it. Glenn had the gas fireplace on when I got up so that did warm up the house. I do not know the high temperature that we had but it did get warmer in the afternoon. We had our two Bible studies today so it was busy. Tomorrow we will get with our son and family to go fishing. They do not keep any of the fish they catch so they make the hook without barbs so it does not hurt the fish's mouth and they can be put back without harming anything.

Susan, you posted a picture of the Butternut Squash and asked if it was the one I made and ate for Thanksgiving. The answer is yes. I made pureed Butternut Squash and Carrot ๐Ÿฅ• soup and Pureed Roasted Red Tomato ๐Ÿ… and Pepper ๐Ÿซ‘ soup. Both were so delicious. So sorry to hear you have asthma and bronchitis, my prayers are with you that you will feel well soon. ๐Ÿ™ Loved the picture of Colin with Archie and Jasper on the beach. I am praying for Colin with his sore back and knees. Hope he feels well soon! ๐Ÿ™

Barb, so sorry to hear Eli has pneumonia and is dealing with asthma. Hope the medication helps him and he has a speedy recovery and is healed completely to the Glory of God! So glad you are enjoying your Bible Study in the Book of Romans. Hope you enjoyed watching Mariposa after your Bible Study. Grandchildren are such a blessing.

Linda, itโ€™s good to sleep later in spite of the room being cold with the window left open so you could snuggle in the warm blankets longer; that sounds like my kind of morning when itโ€™s chilly here to snuggle in bed amongst the warm blankets. So sorry to hear you have sore hands from peeling all the apples with a dull knife, OUCH ๐Ÿ˜“ You sure have made a lot of pies. Yum yum ๐Ÿ˜‹ sure wish I lived near you to sample the yummy
pies ๐Ÿฅง Glad you had the 2 Bible ๐Ÿ“– Studies and enjoyed. Hope you enjoy your time tomorrow when you and Glen get together with your son and family to go fishing. Great you can catch them without harming them so they can be put back in the water.

Praise God I am happy to report the renovations are completed and I go home tomorrow night. My daughter comes after work with my granddaughter Nyla to pack the cars up and get me home. I am so excited to be finally going home after being in the Hotel for 2 weeks. I will hopefully take some pictures so you can see some of the work that has been done. ๐Ÿ˜Š

It is very cloudy and cooler today. We are waiting for our granddaughter (age 4) to wake up before we can go fishing. It may get too late to go since it is already 3:30 in the afternoon. She has been taking her naps later in the day so we will just wait until they tell us she is up and they are on their way to our house. They will be making dinner for us also. I feel like I am on vacation with them since I do not have to cook for a big family.

Barb - I am praying for Eli and his family. Now only is he feeling badly but I know as a parent and grandparent it is also hard to see our familie members sick. My mother used to say the old saying "No news is good news" meaning it there were bad news we would have heard about it may be in play. Maybe Eli is holding steady and there is no update to give you.

Judith - I am so glad that you will be moving back into your condo today. I did not realize that it had been two weeks already. I would love to see pictures of your re-done house. I hope that you have help unpacking too. I did also enjoy the pictures on Facebook of your garden. You have a lot more flowers than I have at my house.

Susan - It looks like you are leaving your vacation spot and returning home. I pray for safe travels for you and Colin and that you will get the needed rest that you need in your own comfortable bed.

Good morning, all. I think I was wishing our vacation away yesterday. We didn't leave this morning because tomorrow is our departure date. We'll be home in the afternoon tomorrow. My asthma/bronchitis is still with me. Mornings and evenings are the worst. Once I clear the airways, the daytime can be alright. No fever or sweats, so I am just taking a lot of rest. That's easy to fo in a caravan but tomorrow will be busy with driving 4.5hrs, then unpacking and cleaning the van go put it back in storage within 24hrs to keep with our Village rules.

Linda, how lovely to be with family and not have to cook! You deserve the break. I like how your family fishes too. No barb hooks are a great idea when you just want to enjoy the sport! Your granddaughter must be loving all the time she gets with you, and you with her.

Barb, yes, that was Colin walking Jasper in the photo. I had Archie as he pulls harder. Colin can't walk Archie as easily. We did drop their leads a few times so they could run on the largely deserted beach. Colin's musculo/skeletal problems don't seem tied to the weather, really. You are right that he has bad and good days. Our walks are short these days when they used to be long. I do hope no news is good news about Eli. Praying. Enjoy your time with Blake.

Judith, did you hear my big sigh of relief that you can go home? I am really glad the renovations are done. I hope they have done them all to perfection and you can return without a care. I know you will love being back in your own bed. The Butternut pumpkin/squash is the only kind of pumpkin I can have. I love soup made from it. Winter is when I make it as it is not good for cold soups in summer. I make a tomato based one for cold soup in summer, with bell peppers, cucumbers and a dash of chilli. I think there may be other veges in it too. I can't remember them all? Must look up the recipe.

    Afternoon Hello Ladies,

Sorry was not able to be here last night, the place was upside down, bedroom was stacked with stuff Reno people did not put away. Been up too long as they are back to repair things and put the computer desk in office and unhook wrong equipment and rebook correct! Freezer has to be fixed and cord threaded thru wall to bedroom plug. The freezer was left unplugged and water was dripping at edges which I cleaned up and attached an extension cord and plugged it in. All furniture and freezer computer fixed tomorrow!

Please pray about the ramp they took out that leads thru patio door to backyard. Itโ€™s also my 2nd access to outside should I canโ€™t get out condo front door to main hallway which takes me to lobby door.

Good News, Have all new wiring, light fixtures, electrical switches and heating and new thermostat. All wood flooring throughout whole condo plus painting in every room and utility storage room.

Thanks for your prayers! Love you and praying for you all! God Bless! โค๏ธ๐Ÿ™

Judith it sounds like you still have a bit to have done before you are truly settled. I am glad that they will be coming back to fix it quickly. Your condo will be even safer for you with all the new wiring, switches, heating and new thermostat. Your ramp is very important to also get put back. I know you love to go out in your garden and enjoy nature.

Susan - I prayed for your safe travels. I hope you are settled into your house again and can get some rest and healing.

Barb - great news about Eli being back in school. Now he has a three day weekend to rest up again.

We went fishing yesterday and they caught a lot of trout and sunfish. They had just stocked the lake so a lot of the fist were very small (3 inches or so). My granddaughter caught at least 10 of them. She liked to pet them before putting them back in the water. They would swim off quickly but come back about the same speed to try to eat her worm off the hook. They seemed to be very hungry. Today we went to the ranch to see the animals. We were able to pet and feed the pigs, goats and horses. There were also sheep and cattle but they were not as friendly and stayed away from us. After that, everyone came back to our house for hamburgers and all that goes with that kind of meal then my granddaughter took a nap and they went to the "Get Air Trampoline Court" to jump and wear themselves out. They went one other time earlier in the week and were anxious to go there again. They will leave tomorrow to go back to Denver.

I heard from the hospital today and was told to go to the hospital at 9:30am to get ready for surgery. They have 4 people come in at a time to get ready so I do not know the exact time the surgery will be but at least I know I do not have to get up very early to get to the hospital.

We gave away quite a few apples to people here and now have one more box to work on. I am going to dehydrate these apples but had to stop earlier than I wanted to. I was using a mandolin to cut the slices but cut my thumb so had to stop. It did not want to stop bleeding since I had my hands in water a lot peeling the apples.

We got back safely to home around 2:30pm yesterday and immediately unpacked the van then took it back to storage. I got a couple of loads of washing done for the van. We were both really tired last night and both of us slept well in our house bed. Today is our actual anniversary but we counted our trip as our celebration. We'll have a quiet day today. I need to prepare for a card class on Tuesday, make a special birthday card for a friend and prepare for house guests next week. They arrive after class on Tuesday. The bronchitis/asthma hasn't settled down yet but I won't do anything strenuous today.

Ouch, Linda! I hope you got the bleeding on your thumb stopped! That won't affect your surgery, will it? It is getting so close. Glad you won't need to get there as early as you might have. The fishing and family time sounded wonderful. Precious days indeed.

Judith, I wondared how everything would be when you returned home. It sounds great about what they rebuilt, but it sounds like it is going to take time to have everything back and functioning well. Surely your back ramp is still there! Bit by bit, everything will get comfortable again, I hope.

Barb, sorry everything is so dry in your area. I know it will affect your garden a lot. You must have to be constantly watering. I was concerned the hail storm we had might have flattened my delicate plants but everything was fine. I hope Eli coped with his day back at school and is continuing to get better. How is his sister? She was sick too?

Thinking of you all. Also praying you are doing better, Marilyn.
