This is the last day of this section of the conference. We have had quite a few people express interest in enrolling in our school which is a blessing. This afternoon we are having the graduation service for the graduates who were able to come for the last three years. We were not able to have a service due to Covid for the past two years so we are catching up. Quite a few of our oversees students were not able to come this year due to wars and visa problems so we only have 7 attending. It is so sad to think of the ones who are in fear of their lives living in war torn countries. We pray for their safety as they strive to serve God in their situations.

    Afternoon All

Susan, I continue to keep you and Colin in prayer with trusting God for your healing and quick recovery from Covid. Also praying that your chesty cough has gone and you are feeling stronger and better.

Marilyn, thank you for all the inspirational quotes which are uplifting and encouraging.keep them coming my friend. Trust you and your family are well and enjoying your day and week.

Linda, sounds like you have had such a great conference with being blessed as you sat under some powerful teaching and ministry. It’s wonderful that quite a few of the attendees are expressing interest in enrolling in the school, indeed, this is a blessing! It’s wonderful after 2 years not able to hold graduation services due to Covid you are having one today. I am so happy and rejoice with the 7 students who were able to travel and be apart of the school and conferences but I am so saddened that so many are restricted from leaving their war torn countries and living in fear and those conditions. My heart and prayers
    are with them all.

Take care all, have a good day and week ahead. I appreciate your prayers love and support. 😊❤️

Yes, helping sis is important. She cannot see colours too well at all and has very specific taste in patterns and colour. We went to Costco today and she found some more things she wanted that were not clothes. Then we went to a boutique clothing and gift store and she found more items for her wardrobe. I must not have been in a shopping mood today as I bought nothing!

Got out of the hospital today - after been admitted through emergency on Monday. This due to kidney stones - had to have surgery where they put a camera inside along with the laser on the outside to blast the one big stone out and the to blast14 smaller one outs as well

Sorry but I am sleepy and in some pain so am going back to bed

Marilyn - I am so sorry that you had to go through surgery but am glad that you now have relief. I have heard that the pain related to passing kidney stones is near the top of the scale of severity of pain. I wonder if your kidney function will improve now that the stones are gone? Did they give you any instructions as to prevent them from forming again? I pray for your recovery from this surgery.

Susan - I am glad that you have had some good times with your sister and you are able to help her select her clothes. Most of my cothes are given to me by my daughter-in-law who loves to shop and then gives me her old ones. Some of them are too young for me to wear but she has a really good sense of fashion so I feel "in style" when I wear her clothes.

Last night we had our graduation ceremony and this morning we took the graduates all out to breakfast. There were about 75 in attendance for the graduation. We had seven countries represented in our graduates. The ones who came to encourage the one from Mexico were the loudest ones cheering. They do love to celebrate and make people feel special. Our mere clapping for the other people was pretty quiet compared to them. Each of the graduates shared about what they learned and what their plans were for the future. It was so inspiring to hear how blessed they felt to be able to learn from our professors as they explained the scriptures in the classes. They will now go on to spread it to others in their countries. We feel so proud and blessed to be a part of these students path as they now leave.

That sounds wonderful about the graduates and their work, Linda. Yes, my sis and I have done the same thing many times - swapped clothes, given each other our clothes - and it has more often been my sis giving me her stylish clothes.

Marilyn, thank the Lord you have now had kidney stone surgery! I pray you will heal quickly and completely. Like Linda I hope the removal of the stones does good things for your kidney function. Rest and recover, my friend.

Sis and I are off to the shops again. Take care, everyone. Xx

Just a quick note to ask for prayers for my husband. We had to take him to the ER last night for heart palpatations, dizziness, weakness, etc and they kept him overnight for observation. Today they will do an echocardiogram and he will talk to the cardiologist. It is possible that he has developed a heart murmur or this is a result of stress of all the things he had to do here at the conference. He is such a go getter that he forgets he is 69 years old but acts like a 49 year old. With age comes a slowing down that he really does not like. Thanks!

Update - My husband came home today with a report of no damage to his heart. The doctor told him to learn to relax and to catch the anxiety as it happens and not to let it go so long that it affects him as it did this time. She suggested the App called "Insight Timer" for meditation. He does a lot of meditation over scripture and prayer but this has helpful teachers who can help with a structured plan to help with anxiety. Have any of you heard or used this app? He is taking a shower and will go to bed for the rest of the day. He is really tired from all the tests and sleeping in a strange bed with strange hospital noises. As I was working nights, I never thought about how noisey it can be when you are working. We tried to be quiet but I'm sure we did disturb some light sleepers.

Linda, how concerning about your dear husband! I am glad they didn't find too much wrong, but still! No, I had not heard of the app you mentioned before. I hope it is helpful for your husband.

Marilyn, how are you feeling? It took me awhile to get over kidney stone surgery. I hope you feel better every day.

Judith, thinking of you and praying you are not having bad days.

We had a really nice day, taking sis in to the City for a live musical production of Cinderella. It was quite a good performance.

5 days from having the surgery to lazer the stones to small fragements and each day am feeling a bit better. But very tired. I see the specialist this week - I have a stent that needs to be removed on Tuesday - there are strings that I could pull and it would be removed but am calling the office on Monday as it is going to be to awkward for me to do so so am going to ask if I could come in and have them remove it otherwise would need to go back to emergency to have them do it and dont want to go there if not necessary. Think a few stones might have passed as I get the horrible pain then the urge to pee and then there is blood so that means the stone is moving - but have done some research and it says a stone of 4 mm which was the size I had that he lazered could take up to 31 days to pass through. Remember I have over 10 close to 15 if I remember right to come out so if 2 or 3 decided to move on the same day same time - well you get the picture of the pain. But generally feeling a bit better just don't like taking all this med but the pain is worse

Marilyn - I am so sad that you are in such pain as the stones move. They have sharp edges which scrape the passages in the kidney that causes the bleeding and severe pain. The stent should help some by keeping the passages open so the stones can go through. For being so small, they sure do cause a lot of discomfort! Hopefully it does not take 30 days to pass through. I am praying for a quick release of the stones.

Susan - the musical production sounds like so much fun. How long is your sister staying with you?

Judith - You are missed. I pray that you will have more good days than bad ones.

After the moring worship service, the entire conference will be concluded but we will be staying one more day. We did not want to have to rush out of the service to try to catch a plane. This is expecially true now that my husband needs to take things quieter. God was looking out for us when he put in our heads to leave tomorrow. I am glad he knows what is ahead and guides us by the still waters and gives us peace.

Marilyn, good to hear you feel slightly better. It takes time to recover from such trauma for sure. I found the stent very uncomfortable too and they finally removed it which was a relief. I still felt battered for weeks afterwards, but it did eventually heal. I hope and pray the same will happen for you.

Linda, good idea to take things more gently now. It sounds like your conference was amazing. I am glad it all worked out in the end. Sis leaves tomorrow so we are packing as few things in to do today.

Judith, thinking of you an do praying there have been no setbacks but if there have been, that you are getting the help you need.

    Praying for you all 🙏🙏🙏

We farewelled sis today. She is flying home so I won't know if she got there safely for a few hours. I kind of collapsed in a heap when she left. I'm pretty tired from our week of lots of activity!

Thinking of you all and praying for your health.

Evening Hello Everyone, I started posting here on the team and for some reason I was having trouble staying logged in. Kept getting message I was new and to sign in create an account, wow, so strange as you know been a member for long time. Each forum I wanted to message in I had to sign in. Very frustrating. I see quite a few have left messages but if I leave here and try and reply I may not get back on again. My thoughts and prayers are with you all… ❤️🙏🤗

    Hi All

I am back so surprised after all the trouble I had getting logged in and staying logged. I was able to read all your posts: thank you for your many messages of love and concern. Yes I did have some challenges and set backs but am just taking it step by step and following doctors instructions.

Marilyn, I am so sorry about the kidney stones, that is so painful, you have gone through so much. Praying the fragments that are left after the laxer surgery will pass with no further delay or excessive pain. Trusting each day will get better for you, for sure my prayers are with you for a speedy and full recovery. ❤️🙏🤗

Linda, I am so sorry to hear about your husband being taken to the emergency with issues with his heart, that would of been such a scare. I am glad that the tests came back stating no damage to the heart. Your husband will have to slow down and rest more, it’s never easy when one is so active like your hubby is. I will keep ihim in much prayer. ❤️🙏🤗

Susan, so happy you enjoyed having your sister visiting with you. It is hard to say good bye after having such a good time and after all the Covid travel restrictions I am sure it was so good having her there and being able to travel around and do all your activities you did. I am not surprised you are so tired. Please get some rest now. ❤️🙏🤗

Great I got back and was able to read your posts and respond. Love you all; it’s my bedtime now so will say Good Nite and God Bless you all
    😴❤️🤗🙏

We had a good flight back to Denver yesterday. We got in pretty late so I did not get on to post. Tomorrow we will be traveling to Grand Junction to try to recooperate after all the busyness of the past two weeks. Today will be spent washing a few clothes and repacking, getting with a friend who is having a difficult divorce, Bible study group, going to get a few groceries from Costco since there is not any in Grand Junction, filing things for the school, etc. My husband is trying to jump headlong into work but I keep telling him he cannot do that. It is so natural for him that he has to stop when he feels his heart get irregular again. He needs to stop before that but since we have so little time here, it is very difficult to get things all done.

Judith it is so good to see you posting again. I am sorry you had problems staying on line. Every once in a while my account will tell me to log in again. I don't know how this site decides when to do this to me.

Susan I am glad you had such a good time with your sister. I know the feeling of wanting to just collapse after having the grandkids for a week. It is wonderful to have them but it can be very tiring. Our dughter and the kids are coming to Grand Junction at the end of the week to help us put the trailer into storage and spend a week at the cabin as a last Summer "hurrah". I will not have my older granddaughter there like earlier in the Summer when we went to the cabin so I will need to do more entertaining.

Marilyn I pray for your passage of the kidney stones to be gentle and quick. I also pray for better kidney function tests after all of this.
