It would not let me edit what I said. I researched it and I was totally wrong about recycling the glasses. They do not regrind the lenses which I thought was impossible in the first place. They grind up the plastics into "pellets" and start all over again. Plastic can only be recycled three times and then it is broken down so much it can not be used again. They sometimes add new plastic to the pellets to make it more stable also. I should have thought of that but now I know. You both were probably shaking your heads at my statement because you knew all of this. It is never to late to learn new things.

They match the lenses to people's needs, I think, Linda. They have machines that can tell what prescriptions the lenses are, but you know, maybe they do regrind the lenses. I know they reuse the frames. I have never looked into what actually happens. Used glasses are wares I have never needed, so far.

yes Susan however they use these eyeglasses are such a blessing that they can help the needy! That’s most important! And yes Susan used Glasses are Wares I’ve never needed either! However if we did we would join the people who puts the Glasses on and Wears them proudly!

Yes, they proudly wear the glasses and can see so much better. It is a result of a lot of "sweat" of volunteers to sort the glasses when they are donated. It is hard work to inspect them.

It is so sweet of people to volunteer their time for the task.
SWEET

The workers need to be recognized for how sweet they are. If any of us are on Twitter, maybe we need to make a "tweet" about how much we appreciate them.

I'm on Twitter but rarely tweet. I could do it for the volunteers though. Let's give the tweet some teeth and really praise them.

Lol 😂 Susan giving Tweet some Teeth, that makes me Lol and Linda good idea we can Tweet and tell them how much we appreciate them. And we can try “These” ideas you gave, sounds good to me!

Yes we need to give the tweet some teeth and give the volunteers their due. The crowds will "seeth" them and joyful dancing and singing will fill the air. We really want to show our appreciation.

As the crowd heats up in appreciation, I can see the shy smiles on the volunteers' faces!

Great Word Linda, yes we can give the Tweet some Teeth and the people will “seeth” them. Yes makes everyone happy see our appreciation. Yes Susan as the crowd Heats up in appreciation I too can see their shy smiles on the Volunteer faces! Yes that Beats it all, we want to be people who show appreciation and not criticism!

As we dance and cheer for the volunteers, we should probably have a raised platform for the volunteers to sit and chairs with soft "seats" to sit on so they can be seen by the crowd.

What do I hear in the background? It is the "beats" of the African drums that have come to play. That will make everyone excited by their drum and fife dance.

Some of those musicians perform great acrobatic feats! I hope to see some of that.
FEATS

To do acrobatic feats, they must have strong "feets". I know I am stretching grammar with that one.
FEETS

hehe I hear you Linda but Feets did make me Lol 😂 yes the acrobatic feats are something else Susan! Yes I think we Steep the Words we find that sure is not the greatest Grammar but it works for what we need to make it fit!

After watching the acrobatics we can go to the nearest restaurant and order Roasted Leeks Soup, Leeks is really Onions and Roasted Leeks is so yummy! 😋
LEEKS0 -
Soup on a cool day like today sounds delicious especially when it will taste like roasted onions. When I roast vegetables, I make sure that no one "peeks" into the oven by opening the door so the oven stays nice and hot. No one like soggy roasted vegetables.

Yum yum, leek soup! That's a form of onion I can have. As long as we just use the green tops and not the white root, I will be fine. My greengrocer seeks leeks and supplies them whenever she can.

I do love a good onion no matter how they are cooked. The problem is that after I cook them, Glenn does not like the lingering odor. He says the house "reeks" and opens the windows and doors to get the smell out. He does like to eat them but not smell them.

I once helped get heaps of onions ready for a hamburger fund-raiser. My hair and skin stank of onions even after I showered and shampooed my hair. It took 3 days to get rid of the stink. Bleah.

I have heard that there are several natural onion smell removers - salt and liquid soap scrub, lemon juice or vinegar, or stainless steel rubbed on the hands under water. I do not speak from experience on these things but I would try them if i was wanting to practice my "harp's" exercises so I do not get the strings smelly.

The sharp smell of onions was mainly in my hair. I have tried the stainless steel trick with my hands and it works. Just rub them in a stainless steel sink!
