Oh Judith - I am wrapping you in prayer as you deal with all this inflamation and irritation. If I were closer and it did not hurt you I would give you a big hug but my prayers will have to do for now, Some day, and who knows when that will be, we will be able to hug all our friends and not be limited by our earthly bodies that are wasting away with age and sickness.1

Amen Linda, thank you for your kindness, I thank God for you.1

Evening Hello Ladies
Tomorrow I have an appointment at VGH for my Cardiology follow-up and medication review. I also have Blood work done re-checking the Liver Panel and enzymes and other areas they are checking. I have been on the toxic med for 6 weeks which has caused the skin on lower face and lip to be raw and bleed. I am trusting for a good report from my Oncologist on Friday when I see him for follow-up regarding the treatment and any suggestions of what I can put on the areas that are open wounds, raw and bleeding. He may instruct me on further treatment or have another plan. Today I have been nauseous and fatigued. It might be from the toxic med.
I will keep you updated as I know more. Thank you for your prayers. God Bless you my dear friends!0 -
Praying for wisdom for the doctors regarding your cares. Sometimes the treatment makes things worse before it becomes better but it sounds like it may need to be readjusted if you are having so much bleeding, open wounds, nausea and fatigue. It will be interesting to see what the liver panel looks like to see if it is affecting more than just your skin. As you always say, "God is in control" and has you in his hands protecting you, guiding you and loving you. We love you too! ๐1

Thank you for updating us, Judith. We care for you and trust God in all this. May the medical team be wise in their recommendations and diligent in their oversight of your treatments. May you have strength, stamina and courage in your treatments and healing. ๐โค๏ธ1

Evening Hello
Last week I saw my Oncologist at Cancer Clinic. He examined my upper face, lower face and lips.
He said I needed to stop the Treatment for now.
The toxic med is harmful to the Liver and the Enzymes the Liver produces so I have to give the body a rest from the treatment I have been on for 6 weeks, 2xโs a day.
He said the med will continue to work for next 2 months even though I am not applying the ointment on the diseased areas. He said even though I have been on this treatment 6 weeks there is still active cancer cells showing.
Unfortunately the pooling and bubbling of excess diseased skin is massive with building up on lips and surrounding areas. I still remove what I can and the rest my Surgeon removes.
I will continue to see Surgeon about every 3 weeks for follow up and he will remove the diseased skin. The lips have been bleeding the past few days and the skin is very raw.
I am back to Cancer Clinic on July 3rd and on July 18th I see my Surgeon at VGH hospital for procedures that will remove the excess skin that has pooled and bubbled up on lower face and lips. There is some on the upper face.
Would appreciate your prayers for Godโs continued strength and for His Will to be done!
Will keep you updated as much as I can.0 -
Thanks for the update. Those cancer cells are very determined if the are still there after 6 weeks of chemo. We know our God is stronger and I pray for His intervention for you. We are here for you too.1

Thank you for telling us what is happening, Judith. Praying for your strength and for God's will to be done. Sending hugs to you as well.1

Dear Judith...I have not forgotten you and I pray for you often...I get the notifications for this thread and always read it. I have an acrylic heart shaped plaque on the window sill above my kitchen sink that says โPRAYER HEALSโ...it gives me encouragement for others and for myself and it reminds me to pray with Hopefulness in my Heart. ๐1

Evening Hello,
This my update from my last appointment at Cancer Clinic on July 3rd.
After my treatment my right side, from neck down
to hand and fingers were on fire from treatment.
Iโm back next month for another hour.
I was told that due to the surgeries and now recent new disease that I just finished the toxic treatment for has caused more issues with nerve damage. I was also told the new med I just came off has likely caused more side affects that has brought more tingling numbness that she said is coming from the neck, she will work at treating the neck and arm/hand and hopefully it can reduce the pain, numbness/tingling of the areas.
The neurologist said it might come down to injections to the neck and upper spine. I leave this with God and trust things will get better.
I am back on the 18th of this month to VGH for Surgeon follow up with procedures and removal of diseased skin on lower lip and face.
Would appreciate your prayers! Thank you!0 -
Oh Judith, what unexpected and unwelcome complications. Praying there will be relief for you soon. Nerve damage is so painful but you are right, it CAN heal. Hugs and prayers. ๐๐๐คฒ0
-
Actually Susan:
After 12 to 18 months, the connection between the nerve and muscle dies off and can no longer be restored
My Nerve Damage is permanent! However treatment can help the pain to be more tolerable. And the tingling and numbness with Injections into the Nerve it helps but doesnโt reverse any further paralysis.
One thing for sure our God can bring about complete healing! Praise God, this is what I look to is God removing the disease and all cancer in Jesus Name!
Thank you Susan for your love kindness and prayers. You are so appreciated! ๐ค1 -
Dear Judith,
We do not know His plan or the reasons we suffer but we Believe because we have a God who sees and knows every tear, every struggle, every defeat. A favorite quote of mine... "Do not worry about tomorrow, God is already thereโ. I reflect on those words often, it gets me through some rough days.
Thank-You for updating the Prayer Requests, I am praying for you as well as many others especially on this Team. ๐
Love & Blessings, JC2 -
JC you said it beautifully. God is always working and more aware of what is going on than we are. Our "job" is to follow and trust his loving care. Our earthly eyes see things dimly but there will come a time when we see him face to face. We love you Judith and are with you in heart and soul.2

I'm so sorry about the permanent nerve damage, Judith. ๐ฎโ๐จ๐
JC I love that thought. Tomorrow God is already there...0 -
Thank you JC, Linda and Susanโฆ0

Good Morning
Wednesdays Flood (July 10)
Regarding the Repairs that are Required!
Canstar the restoration company are coming today to extract rest of water from carpets and will deodorize and clean all the carpets in my entire suite.
Next week they come back to cut out the entire ceiling in Bathroom & replace drywall and insulation and replace support frames/beams that have been damaged from water saturation and once that is completed will repaint the ceiling.
They will replace Drywall, insulation and reinforce joist area of the ceiling in the Hallway where the water came through and will repaint once the work has been completed.
I am still waiting on the recommendations Canstar sets out regarding what work will be done on the baseboards, walls and flooring in the bathroom.
There is water inside baseboards/walls in the bathroom and there is water underneath the floor that still needs to dry. Right now they need to get the ceiling repaired first as it is far more serious.
I will keep you updated on the extent of work that needs doing on the baseboards/walls and floors in the Bathroom.
Thanks all for your prayers and support! ๐1 -
That's a lot to get done, Judith. Hope all goes smoothly for you. Thank you for the updates. Xx ๐ ๐0

Did they say if you will need to relocate? I hope that they can get the work done quickly. I also hope that the person who caused all this damage has learned his lesson to pay attention to details like shutting of the bath water. ๐0

Hello Everyone,
As you know I was here posting on our group threads morning and afternoon and said Iโd try and come back when I knew something more.
Late today towards supper hour Canstar came. They were here for a very long time extracting water out of carpets, the water was all underneath the carpets and as they extracted it was a filthy mess, so grungy and really was bad. They deodorized several times and extracted water several times. Then they cleaned the carpets in every room. They went over them several times. The water had seeped through from flooring and baseboards and basically spread thru entire suite thatโs why so messy! They told me it takes 6 to 8 hours to dry throughly!
Sometime in next 2 weeks they do ceiling in bathroom and hallway, my suite will be covered in tarp to protect the carpets. They said I can stay in my apartment, one day the bathroom shower area wonโt have water access. That morning I can take a sponge bath at sink. I would rather stay here while work is being done as I have a lot of antique collectibles as well as Bone China and Crystal in all of my China Cabinets and Curio cabinets. Then of course not many places I can take my Baby Girl โMiss Sunshineโ so itโs best I stay here.
I still am waiting on what they are going to do about baseboards and flooring. Decisions havenโt been made as yet!
Thank you all for your prayers and your love and kindness. Know I love you much and am so thankful God has given me such wonderful Sisters and Friends; God is Good! โค๏ธ๐๐ค๐0 -
