I was discharged on Thursday afternoon. I had reactions to the anesthetic this time with vertigo and dizziness. I have been extremely weak. Each day is getting better. Today I am nearing my baseline weight of 97 pounds, was down to 94/95 pounds but today I am 96/97 pounds. I have had a lot of excess fluid build up, my Surgeon took me off all meds I normally take so BP and Fluid build up has been a little crazy.
I tried watering plants outside but it proved to be too much, my dizziness is not under control and I am just starting to get rid of the fluid build up in my body.
I have surgery follow up appointments at VGH and Vancouver Cancer Clinic on Thursday and Friday.
Thank you for your prayers…❤️🙏2 -
Good Afternoon All,
As you know I had my 2 week follow up appointment yesterday with my Surgeon at VGH.
He wasn’t able to treat the area as there was a lot of pooling and bubbling of excess skin that was intertwined in the sutures. He said the area is raw. The sutures are still surfacing from deep within which will eventually dissolve. He said to continue to apply ointment over the sutures re-dress the area & cut off excess skin as it loosens and come back in 2 weeks for further follow up. The face, lips and mouth are quite sore.
I am still experiencing dizziness, light headiness and weakness.
Since surgery my Chronic Nerve Damage has been a concern as Chronic Nerve Pain has intensified. For the 3 days in hospital my Surgeon took me off the Nerve Pain medication my Neurologist had started me on. I am back on the meds since returning home but I haven’t had the same results as I had before surgery!
My appointment for Pathology regarding mouth and jaw issues has been changed to November 14th as the specialist can’t treat area as it’s too soon from my last surgery as I am in the 1st stages of my recovery period. I am two and a half weeks post-op.
Still waiting for appointment for surgery and nerve damage-pain follow up with Neurologist.
Will keep you updated as I have further information. Thank you for your ongoing prayers. 🙏

Judith, My prayers continue...even when you don’t feel strong enough to write updates...God knows the details...and it is impossible to forget you... ✝️❤️ JC1

Judith - my prayers are also with you and the doctors that are treating you. I'm sorry the nerve damage pain has gotten worse and it is not responding to you medication as it did before surgery. Maybe the medication has to "catch up" to what it was before since you did not have it during the hospital stay. How is your blood pressure? Is that affecting you dizziness and weakness?1
-
My BP has been up and down but my Surgeon doesn’t feel it’s causing the dizziness to linger. The weakness is improving, not totally there but better than it was. My meds will catch up eventually I am sure.
Thank you JC and Linda for your kindness and your prayers! ❤️😊0 -
Judith, Good to know you are getting stronger...prayers continue! Day by day...His Grace. 🙏❤️1

Good Morning Ladies
Here is my latest update:
The last few days I haven’t been myself, had Vertigo Nausea and Vomiting again. This has really limited me from being on here the last few days and pretty much anything I do.
This morning my tummy is more settled and thankfully no vertigo.
Would appreciate your prayers as ongoing as dizziness, light headiness, nausea, weakness and pain have been so frustrating as it’s keeping me from doing the things I love.
I’m so thankful that the vertigo has left.
Praise God!
Thank you for your Prayer Support Love and Friendship!
God is Good, He is a Faithful God! ✝️❤️🤗0 -
Judith, praying for you - that the Lord will continue to give you the strength to handle all that you are going through. You are a lady with a strong faith and God is in control but I understand that sometimes the illness gets the best of us - remember that you are loved and God is in control. Reach out for help when you need it - will continue to pray.1

I was at my Surgeons office today and he had to cut the excess skin from the suture area and remove a suture and trim another. He has put in a referral to a Dermatologist as he said the pooling of bubbling of excess skin over suture area, graphs flaps and upper and lower lips are more involved than what’s usual. He feels I need a specialist who can look after all my Skin issues, Malignant Melanoma, psoriasis and now including this new issue. He is concerned and would like some feedback so he knows what he is dealing with and how to treat it. For now I am using an ointment he prescribed along with polysporin. Thank you for your prayer support!2

Heavenly Father we pray for your healing touch for Judith, who has undergone a surgical procedure and now awaits further treatment/advice from a Specialist. We ask for your blessings upon her, Lord, as she continues this journey to find healing and relief for her skin issues, especially those concerning her upper and lower lips.
We thank you, Lord, for the wisdom and skill of the surgeon who performed the initial procedure and for your guidance, Lord, in leading Judith to the right dermatologist who specializes in her particular skin issues. We pray that this new doctor may bring knowledge, insight, and expertise to provide the most effective and compassionate care.
Heavenly Father, we place our trust in your divine wisdom and healing power. In your name, we pray for Judith's healing, for the medical professionals caring for her, and for all those in our group who are seeking full health and restoration, comfort and peace, including the silent prayers of our hearts. Amen2
