Could I get a pass this week? On vacation and had a flairup on my shoulder injury, needless to say it probably hasn't been a good week 😅
No problem - I really hope that shoulder feels better soon. You and my sister @EvMakesChanges are getting all the shoulder healing energy! And hugs.conleywoods wrote: »@jugar I need to move to support team for a while. I will stick around for the chat but need to take weigh ins off my to do list through November for sure. Life has been crazy and I'm just going to maintain my weight at this point.
Life has certainly been a wild ride for you lately, so support team is a good quiet place to hang out until you feel up to weighing in again. Keep posting, and showing us the cool stuff like your sensory bin, and sharing the jeans zipping stories, firetrucks, and people losing their minds. Stories shared are always the best kind!
@gak71
Have a great time with your son. Five days in the woods is the best.5 -
So, Massachusetts people - I am here!
I arrived last evening, and today is a completely gorgeous day. I got 8500 steps in before breakfast, and will take the (tired) dog for another walk later. It is fun to walk around the area I lived from age 4-15 and to remember my friends' houses, the cranky neighbour, the place I learned to ride horses (just about next door to the house we lived), and to see how it has developed but not too much, thankfully.
I'm going to look up Castle Island and see if it is close enough to bring my dad - he needs to take a good walk, even though he is slow it does him good.
Enjoy the rest of the day!7 -

@jugar …. I’m leaving today to go camping and four wheeling with my 16 year old son so I’m posting my weight today rather than tomorrow. Five days in the woods may make next week’s weigh in a little sketchy but we’ll cross that bridge when we get there. Thank you!
Good progress @gak71
Have a GREAT time!!!!2 -

202.8 was the magic weight I needed to hit to drop from the obese BMI range to overweight.
YAYYYYY!!!!!
Congrats on this milestone Ashley! What an achievement2 -
@gak71 and @bowens1973 Great job this week guys!
@ashleycarole86 Congrats on the new milestone and love the new profile picture!
@jugar Sounds like you are already enjoying your trip. I hope you have a wonderful time.
Today was definitely a better day at work. Since Thursday is my last work day of the week, I save that day for my favorite classroom. Its just a nice way to end the week and the classroom does fun Thursday, so anything goes😁 Today we took each session to the buildings sensory room. Lots of swings, light up toys and other fun stuff to try. It was a nice day and I got to see some of my students show off some brand new skills that surprised all of us.

Hey all! Taking today slow, but feeing much better. No step goal but I did do 16 minutes of gentle Pilates. Logged my food and closed diary.
Great loss Ashley! How exciting to move into the overweight range for BMI. You have worked so hard. What a great accomplishment.5 -
Oh my gosh, I check in after a long day and see:
@ashleycarole86 dropping a BMI category (AMAZING)
@bowens1973 with an awesome loss (may we all get to Onederland and stay there!)
@PlaneMonkey unable to disembark the toilet - feel the burn!!
@gak71 with a lovely loss as well (have fun in the woods!)
and @jugar closer geographically to me than she has ever been!
Hauling it IN this week team!
I am so tired so I won't bore you with the total details of my day but I went back to the office for the first time! It was kind of weird, kind of fun. My alarm was set for 6am and I was walking with the moon still out at 6:20. Commute was smooth, phew. And after settling in for what I thought would be some computer & reading time post-dinner, I got kind of antsy and went for a 40 min walk at 10:15pm! Inspiration struck on the walk for my spooky birthday cake - I just got my sketchbook out! I should go to bed but this idea won't wait.
Almost Friday.... or already is, for our European pals.6 -
Thursday seems to have ended on a good note - I just hope that those who are hurting get better soon! Sciatica and shoulder stuff are absolutely no fun. Hugs to you!
So it is time for the Friday people "heads up", and the "let's go" for anyone who is running a bit late:

I'm going to take a pass for this week since there is no scale here - hopefully there is one at my mom's for next week. I'll also go back and make sure I did not miss anyone. See you soon!5 -
Thanks all for the lovely comments of support. I am so glad I found this group ... have I said that before? I'll keep saying it! So nice to have a place to openly share this journey. It feels like things are in an exciting spot with Onederland just around the corner and then the elusive 100 pounds lost.... but I need to just sit and enjoy the present moment first.
Today was fun - work is a zoo but I have been keeping my commitment to protecting my personal time at night. Went over and cooked my Mom a meal and then we did a virtual locked room with some of her work colleagues. I've done locked rooms before in person but this was a different experience. It was a fun night.
On that note.. how was the virtual drag show @PlaneMonkey ?
@Kali225 Hope we get to see a pic of the finished product! Are you a baker or just wanting to design for someone else to make?
@micki48 Glad to hear you're feeling better and @conleywoods great to hear the week is ending on a better note...
Off to go watch You before bed, Brad is on the bike so it's time for my show6 -
Almost forgot.. today's exercise (10/21) was:
-20 minutes yoga
-10 minutes strength training
-9678 steps
Night!4 -
@ashleycarole86 we were discussing the tv show You after hockey tonight, I'm going to have to check it out. The drag show was great! Sofonda Cox is her name, she's all over social media. High energy and great costume and hair changes with each musical number. Highly entertaining!

It’s Friday! That week flew by. I am still feeling better. Grateful for the Pilates work I do. I think it definitely made a difference.
Did 15 minutes of Pilates this am. Hope to get a walk in.
Can’t wait to hear about the reunion, birthday cake design (30th was my mom's b/d too), more losses, and everyone’s weekend. Courtney, I’m going to go search your drag Queen. Ashley, I thought you meant to say watch YouTube but now I see the show is actually called “You” 😂 Is it Canadian TV or something else?
Have a great one everyone!5 -

The scale wobbled between those two numbers before finally settling on 182.4. I have a feeling October might be a net gain month unless something amazing happens next week.
I've read all your updates and everyone is doing amazing!7 -

I know my normal day was Wednesday but I think I’d like to change to Fridays. OH put together ramen from a “kit” the other day, added veggies and home cooked chicken and supposedly “1-spoon of miso”. It was the saltier than the freeking ocean! Holy gazoly. I asked them to read the ingredients and couldn’t believe how many types of sodium were in it - good grief! It was over 3,000 mg sodium per serving. Thus my reasoning for flushing put for 2 days! Good thing because I would’ve been 3 pounds heavier. Yeehah.
I made the now famous red lentil, squash & turmeric soup for lunch (& for my friend’s dinner). It’ll be a good afternoon with the plan for a bonfire if it doesn’t rain.

@jugar I’ll weigh in tomorrow if that’s ok. I got on the scale this morning. Got off. Did my Pilates. Ate breakfast and totally forgot the number. So I’ll try again tomorrow. I know it was up a few tenth but can’t remember exactly. Oy! 😂
Just went for a walk. I can tell I am still not 💯. Listen to thy body. I’m not feeling like coming tonight, but family on the way. I’m really kind of tired. The last three nights my sleep has been “fair”. Usually, I am good to excellent. That could be it. I might be a little grumbly too. 😖😫😴4 -

I can't remember my past weight. I can't remember what I was doing yesterday, let alone last Friday! This week has been a blur. The only good thing is that 9 weeks of travel for work is coming to an end. I'm so inspired by all of you!7 -
@ashleycarole86 I am a baker! This will be my first time piping in a LONG time so I am definitely going to practice some skills on the 2-3 days leading up to Bday. I went through my baking storage box today and realized I had a couple other tools and things on hand that will help the design element. Going to be quite a different-than-usual grocery list this Sunday!5

@micki48 You is on Netflix - there was a good year or so between seasons so the appearance of new episodes felt REALLY exciting
Work week is done! Hooray... off to go move my body after a long day in front of the computer!3 -

I remember those days of tons of travel for work - you have my sympathies! For everyone - the previous weight, weigh-in day, "addressing" the post to me - none of this matters. Just putting in your current weight is always enough. You know what does matter? You lost 2.6 pounds while having a completely crazy week!! You inspire us too.
All the talk about "episodes" and things to watch is making me miss my exercise bike at home! I love pedalling madly through some exciting episode of something, and feeling good about avoiding just sitting to watch something. Sadly, at my dad's the exercise bike is pretty dismal, and not in the same space as my dad and step-mom. Since I'm here to hang out with them I have not gotten any pedalling yet, but at least I'm getting walks and I did my Pilates today. I'll post all my exercise for the week tomorrow.
Weigh-ins due up through Saturday, and Week 3 will be a wrap:

@jugar and @kali225 There's a short loop at the 'castle' with lots of benches and there's the bigger loop around the inlet 'pleasure bay' - also benches but not as often (thinking of your dad @jugar). I'm game to meet up and do some serious marching if there ever seems a good opportunity.
@conleywoods I like that sensory bin - never heard of such a thing (reminded me of my dad coming home from work sometimes with a big bag of m&ms, we 3 kids would each get a bowlful and the color sorting began!). Glad your week ended on a good note.
@micki and @ashenmoon hope today finds your aches & pains history! @planemonkey - ha! it's been so long since I've done evil squats but I can remember and know just what you mean about the toilet.
@evmakeschanges - SOUP! you remind me I've got a few butternut squashes in a cool spot - going to pull one today and get going on some healthy cooking and prep for the upcoming week
- and I'll say it now to all on here (commitment).... I'm going to log every day starting today!

Happy Saturday!
Well, it's 50th high school grad reunion day - I never thought I would ever go to one of these, but it should be fun. It is looking like a pleasant day, if not as warm as the last few, and I already got in 10,000 steps before breakfast! Good dog.
@eggfreak
Logging! It helps so much, even though it is not always a pleasant task. Just putting up with it makes a difference, though, and making the commitment to it public is the way to go.
I'm off! Have a great day, all.6 -
Have fun @jugar !!! What an amazing celebration you will have. Enjoy2
