So cool! I bought home some moose meat from Newfoundland. I don’t like the taste of it but my son and husband do. I am sure you got intensity minutes even though they were not recorded.
@rlaskey2
That sure creates problems. I hope you have a better week.
@aussie_girl_del_runner_5
Yuck! Spiders are not my favourite thing. Couple of weeks ago I found a spider in my water bottle. Put the bottle through the dishwasher twice but still can’t bring myself to use it. Is this type of spider dangerous?
Chips are a killer with me too. I have a small bag every night otherwise I will go crazy with food.
@Beautyofdreams
Lack of sleep is bad for me. If I am not sleeping well I have trouble with the binge eating.
@rwood566
Awesome steps! Hope things settle today.
@Pippin20206
Great strategy to avoid eating the junk.
@Poobah1972
Awesome loss! I recently bought a recliner that helps manage the back pain. If you don’t find relief with the sports therapist ask to see aback specialist. I am being seen at the spine centre here in London. I am sure they have something like that in Sudbury/North Bay (know you are in Northern Ontario) They have several types of back specialist there. Right now I am getting injections in my back.

Had a really good swim yesterday followed by 34 minutes of cardio/legs. I ended up having 2 packets of rockets. They are not bad on calories but lots of sugar. I am getting my Covid booster this afternoon so I will get a little extra exercise as I have to walk there and back.
Happy Monday!1 -

I just changed my profile pic to remind myself that I did this before and I can do it again. Pity the After photo is 6 years go. Maybe I should do a Before/After/Before to show my current state lol4

1. Tell us a little about yourself?
2. Why are you on this journey? What pushed you to start?
3. What are your triggers and how can you avoid them?
4. Do you have a favourite diet you go by? ie keto, low carb
5. What is your favourite way to workout?
6. What are some of your goals this month?
7. What do you expect to gain from the team?
1. hi all. for the new people, my name is Roger. I am 57, married with an adult daughter still living with us, Alyssa. I live in San Diego. I have been on my weight loss journey for 31 months. My starting weight was 566 pounds and i was housebound for 1 1/2 years before i started. i couldn't stand for more than 2 minutes, walk 150 feet or fit into a vehicle. I just lived on my couch and was waiting to die. Rock bottom. The V.A. threw me a lifeline in the form of Home Based Primary Care. They sent a team of people to my house and over several months got me turned around physically and mentally.
2. hitting rock bottom got me started. it was either get busy living or die.
3. snacks. they are all over the house. we are all big snackers, holiday cookers, etc. i have finally learned moderation, which was hard with them here constantly. i log all of them when i eat them and so that forces me to account for those calories later in the day.
4. i just monitor calories in. any i burn off in exercise is a hidden bonus that i don't dip into. right now i have MFP set for 1.5 LB loss a week and it is giving me 1925 calories. i don't like hitting 1800.
5. favorite is walking outside. i hear the noises around me and smell the aromas, not all are good. i am starting to get comfortable around more people now but i still love wilderness walks.
6. i am not currently planning any goals for the month. i am past my 300 pound loss so nothing is near enough. if something appears that i would like to do then i try for it but i don't like to announce it to soon in advance, in case i forget about it with my horrid memory or i don't hit it. missing a goal tends to make me feel down, no matter how good i know i have done along the way. that is something i will need to work on when it comes up. not having goals is pushing that reckoning down the line and letting me get more tools to deal with it.
7. camraderie. we are all dealing with our own problems and we are putting them here to give each other a chance to understand what others are going thru and possibly aid, even if it is just a supporting word or a good ear (eyes) to listen with.5 -
1. Tell us a little about yourself?
51 yo mom of 3 adult kids, 1 grandbaby, 1 dog, 1 cat. Been married 30 years this year. I live in the southern USA.
2. Why are you on this journey? What pushed you to start?
Got to where I felt left on the side lines. Could not breathe well at all and was exhausted all of the time.I was fed up with being fat.
3. What are your triggers and how can you avoid them?
Boredom, Anger, fatigue. Constantly question why I want to eat and really examine my motives. Bored I find something to do. Angry I punch a punching bag. Tired I go to bed.
4. Do you have a favorite diet you go by?
Allergy necessity. I am allergic to yeast, dairy, gluten, and honey. Now I am also trying to lower my cholesterol so I am going low fat.
5. What is your favorite way to workout?
I love weight lifting, hiking and kayaking.
6. What are some of your goals this month?
50 miles of exercise, no counting steps to make miles. Lose 4#. keep my macros at 25% fat, 35% protein, and 40% carbs.
7. What do you expect to gain from the team?
Motivation, accountability3 -

Yo Yo Yo!!!
Not a bad night. Still came home a bit early, but my short 1-hour nap was divine. You know one of those perfectly comfortable sleeps, like you were a baby sleeping in your momma's arms... 🙂
And the workout!!!! Wowza!
Turns out there is another bright side to not being able to do cardio. I seem to be going through a muscle growing spurt. All those calories I'm not burning doing cardio, I suspect are getting used up building muscle instead. 😎😆
I literally couldn't believe how much stronger and how much endurance I had tonight. I'm literally moving up in every single exercise next week at this time, and I moved up in some of those exercises starting off tonight.
I did 3 sets of DB bent over rows at 95 pounds and easily did 12 reps with no extended rests and I had no issue going all the way up, and I didn't have to rest between my right and left hand. it almost felt easy. (100 lbs next week).
Then even crazier... Lat pulldowns, 3 sets. Goal was to do 12-15 reps, and I was able to do 20 reps and I had great form on all 20... Like what the heck is going on? Sure, it's only 115 pounds, but 115 pounds was too much for me to handle last week?
All other exercises were similar... to some extent... Yeah baby! Yeah! 🤓😆
Anyway... Yeah... Incredible workout, and I thank the lack of cardio for it. Look on the bright side I say.
Oh and up I'm starting up some interesting supplementation in an effort to increase my HGH output, better sleep and after recovery. So wish me luck. Gives me something to focus on as I'm recovering. 👍😃
Have a great night guys!

I have this posted on our fridge. Today is quite rainy and chilly... The perfect storm for mindless eating, lol. It does help!!😉😊4 -
Good evening everyone. Welcome to November. I hope you are ready for the last 2 months.
Check in for 11/1:
Steps - 6475. Mostly on my walk tonight.
Calories - 1630. Pushed away my plate at lunch and dinner with food still on it. Small win.
Exercise - 1.75 mile walk untimed. It was cold but I enjoyed it.
I lost 8.4 lbs in October. Lowest amount in a very long time. Hopefully that means I am getting close to the bottom.
I noticed my right upper arm is appearing more full as well as my underarm and side boob. I didn't notice swelling on my first two shots, mainly because I was 100 lbs heavier. I am going to see if the swelling goes down over the next week. If not then I will contact my dr.

Erg... I sure hope life doesn't evolve to the point I need a back specialist. I do have an appointment with my family doctor on December 2nd. I'm hoping I get better long before then. But I'm open to anything really that will get me back on track.

Woke up around 2 am with a sore throat, achy all over, headache, chills and nauseous. It is probably from the booster I had yesterday. I am going back to bed very soon. My Fitbit is showing I have 80 zone minutes today. It’s weird as I just got up.
I will catch up on post later today.4 -
