This week is Fat2Fit recruiting week! If you have any friends who might be interested in joining our team(s), now's the time. We can always use a few more to fight those statistics with us - keep going past the new year resolutions, keep losing weight, stop gaining it back afterwards.
Here is the link - share away! And if you are already a member, you do NOT need to sign up again.

Exercise: walk
Net calories: 412 or something, MFP is still giving me double calories most day...
Steps: 16.877 / 11.000
Ramblings of the day
Good morning team. I had a very chilly Sunday. There was a warning that it felt like -11 / -16 outside and boy, they weren't kidding. I knew it was going to be the last cold and sunny day, so I went out for my walk anyway. I saw on my map that there was a point with 3 walks which I hadn't done yet. It was around 10 minutes biking from my home. The bike ride there was horrible because of the wind. I was tempted to turn around and go home again at some point, but I can be stubborn when I feel like it so I kept going. There was a group of around 8 deer that popped out of the bushes in front of me to cross to road. The first half almost got hit by a car, but thankfully they all made it safely. My walk was around 6.5 km and it was pretty nice. Very wide paths, open, some bits through forest and it sometimes felt like I was in Teletubby land: small green lumps of ground (I can't call them hills, the Netherlands doesn't do hills). I barely ran into anyone. I was dressed pretty well, so during the walk itself I wasn't really cold as long as I didn't stop too often. The rest of the day I just relaxed.
My bananaplant sadly didn't recover. It keeps looking worse every day. I took a picture and wrote the company that I would like my money back for that plant. I think next month I will buy a couple more smaller plants.
Some pictures under the spoiler as usual. Happy Monday everyone

I had planned for this week to be the start of at-home workouts, healthier meals and getting stuff done around the house now that my husband is on vacation, but the world says NO. I have flu symptoms. It’s not that bad, in pre-covid world I would have probably gone to work normally and only skipped workouts. It still feels like crap, I think I just forgot what this feels like as I haven’t been sick in 2 years. Covid test centers are absolutely slammed and I wasn’t able to get a test appointment until Thursday, so now I’m just resting and recuperating in self-quarantine. I’m happily vaccinated (2 shots) and already feeling a little bit better than this morning, mostly I’m just concerned about infecting my 2-month-old. From her point of view, this being covid would probably be better, since babies aren’t infected that easily but there’s a bunch of other flu-like viruses that regularly hospitalize babies.

Ok so last week I broke when I stepped on the scale cried my eyes out and just couldn't fix it so I just fell into it more. Last week 194 this week 190 pms wrecked me. Then the holidays! Next is my kiddos 13th bday!! I'm gonna make a deficit this week!! Lort help me!! Y'all money sucks and it gives me anxiety...I can manage that. Being at home what husband 24 7 is killing me. He wakes up grumpy and rude and looking to fight!! If I engage it's an all day grudge match. If I don't then I feel crappy all day and I eat and eat and eat!! We have talked about it....for 15 years!!! It makes me nuts!! I gotta figure out how to control this emotional eating trigger!! Come on Lacey head outta the butt cave and in the game!!! *kitten* fire save the matches!6

Yippee. A friend dropped off some at-home covid tests, and mine was positive. Thankfully my symptoms are very mild and already subsiding, just hoping there are no setbacks. My husband and all the family members we saw yesterday got negative home tests. Nobody has any fever, but as a safety measure we agreed that my husband will take 100% responsibility of caring for our baby as long as he’s healthy, to prevent her getting sick. Test centers are so slammed that they don’t even do proper testing on those with at-home positives, so I’m just self-quarantining unless things get worse. I have no idea what I should do about booster shots or how long to quarantine after symptoms go away and my home tests are negative.
I was able to get a grocery delivery for tomorrow, and then we should be set to quarantine until the end of the week unless there are any setbacks that require medical care. I really hope my husband and baby stay healthy and I get better quickly, so we can end quarantine and make it to our daughter’s vaccination appointment next week. We enrolled her in a vaccination study that researches effectiveness of existing meningococcus vaccines when combined with regular early childhood vaccinations. The study has an upper age limit and our daughter is getting close to that, so if we have to cancel the appointment she will probably be kicked off the study.6 -

Had a good day today,my husband went back to work & my 2 boys got the train to an away soccer game.I tidied & cleaned my front room & hall & did some laundry. Then I went to the gym,did a 20 min swim & relaxed in the steam room. The TV hasn't worked for 2 days so no excuse to sit in my easy chair all day !
I feel your pain @Be_the_best_me_4_baby_no2
It is easy to go on a slippery downward slope & throw in the towel if you get upset with a gain on the scale.I get your frustrations at people being home 24/7:Read my latest post,I cheer when all the 3 men in my life leave the house lol.You can do this, take control & make a plan.Youve got this 😊
@Pupowl sorry your Bannana plant didn't survive but glad the group of deers did.Your walk & photos look amazing.Ivdont bother with houseplants I always seem to kill them off.I treat myself to flowers every now & again.
@hipari I hope you don't get too poorly with covid & that your husband & baby stay healthy.I can't imagine how it must have been to be pregnant & give birth through covid.I think I would have been very worried if it was me.Its great that you can produce so much milk, you must be taking good care of yourself.I breast fed both my boys, yet I could only ever pump about 2oz so no respite for me.2 -
Hi crew!!!!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. I am glad the house is empty again and the decorations are down. I did weigh this am... ugh. Actually not as bad as I thought it would be, but up again. I am back to tracking today. I made a delicious chicken and blue cheese wrap for lunch. It was DELICIOUS and only 253 cal.
I am trying to recall some of the things I used to make and enjoy when I was on my way down... both times. I lost 72 lbs back in 2017 and 65ish in 2020. I have gained back 20 during 2021. It is obvious that I have the skills, but need to stay in check to maintain the loss and not just yo yo.
I do not make New Year's resolutions, but I do feel like my new found resolve is coinciding. I am feeling very motivated today!!!4 -

Haven't done very well these past weeks. I knew it would be a busy season but, i didn't think I'd let myself slip so much. Lots of eating out and little to no walking (yikes). I've lost quite a bit of progress. Time to get back on track.

Thank you! I have never really had plants to be honest. I only have a really old Sanseveria which is basically the easiest plant to own. I just give it some water whenever I remember, which is usually once every 3-4 weeks and that works well. My new plants need a little more care. I think I will set an alarm on my phone so I don't forget to water them. I put them in bigger pots now and they look really nice so hopefully I can keep them going.

I had a really quiet day. Don't really remember what I did, so nothing interesting. Still feeling a bit dizzy from stopping the meds, but mentally doing much better. Happy Tuesday everyone3 -

So moving right along - my husband will get his port implanted on Friday morning- New Year's Eve & starts chemo next Wednesday for his pancreatic cancer
Happy New Year5 -
@LaurieWrobo - I’m sure you are dealing with many emotions. It’s a big step forward to get the port implemented so your husband can get started with his treatment. Best wishes that the procedure goes well and he does not feel too much discomfort. I’ll be thinking of you as we enter 2022 — sending healing thoughts to you! ❤️🩹5

@jessicakrall8 - Thank you for your excellent leadership, encouraging us with your positive comments while also providing gentle reminders to stay accountable. You really ‘hear’ what members are sharing and create a welcoming and comfortable group environment. Feeling a sense of belonging - and knowing we have a place to connect with others who are striving toward similar goals - can make all the difference in our success. I appreciate all your time and effort!!
I also appreciate everyone sharing familiar struggles here and helping one another through the changes in perspective and behavior that are necessary for us to improve our health and well-being. I identify with many of the same challenges and experiences. So, it helps to feel understood and it’s great to see people overcome tough situations to know it’s possible. We’re not ‘alone’ and the community brings hope and support for reaching our individual goals.5 -
@PatriceFitnessPal Thank you so much for your kind words. I'm so glad our team is so friendly and warm. That type of atmosphere helps all of us, you're right. The journey isn't easy for any of us, so staying positive really helps!
@LaurieWrobo I'm thinking of you and your husband as you have the procedure done and start his treatment plan. I'm so glad you two can support and be there for each other as cancer affects the whole family. He's lucky to have you as his other half. Stay strong and remember we're here if you need to vent. I'll be praying for you both.
@hipari Hope you're feeling stronger each day and that you get well soon!!
@Yukie_OP Thanks for catching me up on your steps...the holidays are busy for all of us it seems. Hope you and your family had a wonderful Christmas!
@pupowl Wish I had a the day you had today, minus the not feeling so well...mine was way too busy. Looking forward to your next batch of pictures...now you've spoiled us and we're expecting them! LOL Look what you started!! hehe
@izzyred9400 I can't wait to see you hit your goal this year and I have no doubt that you will!!! Then maintenance begins, which is a whole other adventure I'm sure. I think you've done really well over the past few months in balancing your numbers...won't be long now!!! You inspire me!
I'm heading to bed tonight...don't even think I'm going to eat...really not hungry...will post again tomorrow evening. Take care all!

The power of NO is amazing. In this case, the power of being told you can’t do something. I had no other plans for this week than to go for walks, the gym, grocery store and maybe some sale shopping. I’m in a 10-day quarantine, so no meeting other people. Shopping I can do online, grocery store I hate and moved it online, and walks I can still do.
The gym closed anyway as a lockdown measure, so couldn’t have done that even if I wasn’t in quarantine. So, essentially I had no plans of meeting anyone anyway but now that I’m told NO, I really want to go out and socialize. I usually hate home workouts and prefer to pay for a gym membership (that I haven’t used), but now that I’m told NO you can’t go to the gym, I want to find some at-home workouts out of spite. Just to show them there’s no stopping me or something. Of course I’m still a little bit sick so I need to take it easy, but still. This is weird.3 -

I bounced up to 207.4 pounds on Christmas day after a few days of indulging. Once I got back on track, it dropped down quickly. I hit 202 a week and a half ago and now I'm back. I'm excited to see what the new year is going to bring. I'm hoping to be at 199 by January 2nd, which is my birthday, but trying to be more reasonable so I'm not disappointed.
The first picture is from a safari I did to Tanzania in September of 2019 before COVID. I added an extra 10 pounds during lockdown. The second picture is from my hike last Sunday. I have forty-two pounds to go.

Hi @KittyInBoots17 I spoke with the MODS and she marked last week and this week as excused due to the hectic holiday schedule. I think we'll all be putting away the treats and getting strictly back on track next week. I know I need to avoid the Christmas cookies like the plague, myself.
Apologies if you read my other response...
