Pretty much binged last night...but tracked every bite... so decided to do some intermittent fasting... Did 13.5 today, 16 hrs is the goal tomorrow.
NSV today...kids wanted to go out to eat at a restaurant that I knew I would be tempted to eat badly at.....so, I gave them money and stayed home. Haha! My treat for them...and a win for me.2 -
Good(ish) evening everyone. It has been cold and wet here today so I stayed inside. I have everything set for Xmas so I was bored. Wound up snacking/grazing most of the day. I'm not pleased at all.
Check in for 12/14:
Steps - 2160. Couch potato 🥔.
Calories - 1801 or just over. Tried to log everything but not sure if I did. Am drinking 140 oz water though. Likely to see another gain tomorrow and probably for the week. Been eating baked ham a lot.
Exercise - none. Stayed home safely. Will be doing something tomorrow.2 -

Phew. I think I am caught up.
Tomorrow I am going to try going to Zumba class through the Y but zoom. Just so I can do it from home. I braved the scale this morning for a mid week scale check, and I am losing, so I am going to try and relax. Not relax on my goals but just in my worry. I want this time to be the time that I stick with it! I want to get my lifeguard certification but I want to be fit first. There is no magic wand. Time and dedication. I don’t have a comparison pic yet of course, but I already feel so much stronger. One day at a time.5 -

Ended up doing laps and arms with my pool weights yesterday. I am super tired today as I stayed up late watching tv. I am going to swim for maybe 10 minutes and then do a cardio/legs workout in the pool. We will see my energy level when I get there. I still need to get the apartment in tip top shape for Friday. Today I am concentrating on the spare room and the bathrooms. I have a doctors appointment this afternoon to set up new imaging for my back/neck.

So just had my dietitian appt and it went really well. She was hugely impressed with the changes I've already made and said I'd done half her work for her. Was very impressed by my weight loss so far. Gave me some good ideas for lunches and dinners going forward. Also wants me to do the optifast diet for 2 weeks just to really hit the fat around my liver fast and hard (but she did say don't try it until after the holidays which is good). But all in all pretty much just said kept doing what I'm doing. That feels great I just wanted to take the guess work out of everything and make sure I was on the right track and she said I was100% on track. 😁6

Calories - 1708. I am trying to log all of my snacking now. From 1/7 servings to 1 walnut.
Exercise - 1 mile walk this evening in the cold dark. 2.5 mph.
Weight up again today. I am now 4 lbs over saturday. I will keep plugging along. I am now chewing gum instead of chewing snacks.4 -

Nice steps! Just be aware gum can make you feel hungry. I can’t remember the reasons why but it is something we learned in our weight watchers days.2 -

Like Roger, my weight has increased daily since Monday. I am now 5.4 pounds heavier than Monday morning. I was expecting a drop today after the meal out Monday and a higher sodium day on Tuesday. Frustrating! I was hoping to hit in the 196’s before the holidays. Yesterday I swam for 12 minutes and did a leg pool workout for 32 minutes. I am not going to the pool today as I have way too much to get done before tomorrow. I will try to do some mini walks.

Daughter got her 2nd dose of the (Pfizer) Covid vaccine yesterday ...she had a headache and the chills all night ... I get my 2nd dose of the (Moderna) Covid Vaccine on the 22nd...California is mandating the wearing the mask again which started yesterday3

Sounds like she gave you some great ideas. What is an optifast diet?
Optifast is one of the shake diets, I'm not looking forward to it. It's what they put you on when you go for bariatric surgery and they need you to shrink the fat around your liver. I only have to do it for 2 weeks though, she just wants to kick start getting rid of the dangerous fat in my liver.1 -
So I had in my head that my target weight would be 70 kg (approx 154 lbs), but my BMI says healthy weight for my height is max about 64kg (141lbs). So I talked to the dietitian yesterday and said that seems way too low for me and she said that BMI is very outdated and she did some quick calculations based on my height and is came to just over 69kg (152lbs) so she's happy with a target weight of 70kg. Ya!3

check in for 12/16:
steps - 6922. will get more later tonight since i have to go pick up daughter from work in an hour.
calories - 1512. it's a bit low but it's very close. i didn't put in 5 wheat thins this evening.
exercise - neighborhood walk this frigid morning. i lasted 45 minutes. it was 43F when i left at 9am. tomorrow will be the gym. i'm not doing that again. since i've lost so much weight i'm COLD!!!
i do expect a weight gain for the weekly weigh in tomorrow. sorry everyone. i am trying to get the salt flushed out today. 157 oz water taken in. not nearly that much out....yet. i expect 3 or 4 trips in the middle of the night.
@Pippin20206 great job monitoring your weight and asking your nutritionist. nobody here seems to know where i'm supposed to stop since i'm carrying so much extra skin. Good luck with the optifast.

Ugh what a day. Had an unannounced audit visit at work so spent the day running around getting reports and procedures printed. Didn't get time for lunch so bought two Krispy kreme donuts on the way home 600 Calories down the drain.
Then spent 10 mins chasing one of my dogs and trying to convince him to give up a lump of plastic he was determined to try to choke himself on. Got a busted tendon in my hand as reward for saving his life, little s**t. He's lucky i love him! 🤣🤣
Still all the frantic running around got me over my steps target, so I guess that's something.6 -

The numbers are getting insane here. No big changes yet besides reduction of capacity limits at sporting events and concerts. The mask mandate was never removed here and we still have a vaccine passport. I have been anxious about them closing the pool.1 -
