Glad you enjoyed the steak! You certainly have a good excuse to be eating it. I was listening to yet another podcast about saturated fat and avoiding it, but I do think there are benefits, particularly the iron in your case, protein and B vitamins, etc. I have red meat occasionally for that, and the taste, and because I think it's probably good to cover all bases!
I didn't expect that the MRI place would be so busy, but I suppose it makes sense. We have big issues here with people having long waits for appointments and I think many would jump at the chance to get an earlier one in the night.
It does look difficult having an MRI, having to be still in such a tiny space in that big machine. If I try to imagine it I imagine not being able to breathe, but of course there shouldn't be any problem breathing - I think it's just that we're never usually in that sort of situation. Yes, I think they should have warned you about the bed rising!
Yes, challenge accepted to keep losing 0.1 lb a week until 2026, ha ha! Hopefully I can speed it it up a bit. I'm not logging food any more, Suzy. I still use trendweight because it calculates it for you, so the calories it says I'm burning are just what it calculates from the rate of weight loss (or gain). I should probably count calories a bit more, but I do have a fair idea, and when I do fail to lose weight it's usually because of something I know I've done (snacking in the evenings, meal out, etc.), rather than miscounting calories. I do think calorie counting is a good way to keep on track, but I hate doing it! The idea is that trendweight shows me my actual calorie deficit in retrospect.

Lots of social eating with relatives at the weekend, with the expected weight gain. I did some baking, but I noticed that one of the other women baked a cake but didn't have anything herself: she ate my baking but not her own. I always eat people's baking to be polite, including my own, lol! I hadn't thought that most people won't notice if you don't eat your own. I think I was thinking people would wonder why I wasn't eating it and if I'd poisoned it or something. I need to bear that in mind.
I have another meal out this week as well and wondering how I'm going to handle it as I've eaten so much this weekend and really just want to get back to losing again!0 -
So funny! I don’t know if I’d trust something that the person who brought it didn’t eat it. Lol. Of course, I probably wouldn’t even notice. I usually bring something that I really like so I definitely eat some. Social eating is the hardest thing to avoid for me. You see everyone else eating and it all looks so good. Also, it’s mindless eating because you’re talking and enjoying everyone’s company.
Steak sounds delicious and it was medicinal! Lol. How’s the garden coming along? I think I’m going to do the container or pot type planting for at least one tomato plant next year. Any news from the MRI?
I sucked it up and went for a walk after dinner last night with my husband. It wasn’t as hot but the humidity was brutal. I was only able to go two miles (two times around the park). He usually does three. We used to walk three miles every night along the river where we used to live. My hips and leg muscles are so tight! I’ve really let myself go. So it was quite the eye opener.

Well done on getting the walk in, Suzy. It's so difficult when it's really hot and humid. Feels like you can't breathe and all your energy is drained. Is your house more comfortable? Maybe you could exercise indoors until it's less humid? Although it would be nice to have it as a routine again.
I had my lunch wih friends yesterday. I thought we were eating out, but it was at a friend's house and she had cooked so of course I had to have lots of everything! Predictable weight gain this morning. No more social eating for a while.
I recently bought a new cooker thing in the summer sales. It's the newest model of one of those Ninja health grills. You can bake cakes in it but I need to tell myself that just because I can doesn't mean I should. It has been fun to use, but probably the best thing at the moment is you can close it while cooking and it doesn't heat up the kitchen. After all the overeating though, I think I'm going to use my pressure cooker and make some lentil soup.0 -
Good morning ... we had a couple of days of the hot and humid temps hitting low 40's so i totally admit i've had the a/c running non stop lol. The only exercise has been walking at the airport and even that hasnt been much or toddling over to the garden to see if anyone has stolen my tomatos again lol. i have about 30 cherry ones waiting to ripen and maybe 16 or so regular ones as well as a few romas.. a few have started to blush so im hoping i will get a few by next week. The peppers are looking really good nice and tall and green but they aren't flowering yet... i dont know why but they have to flower before they will grow.. so they could all turn out to be duds lol. i just planted some spinach a few weeks ago and it seems to be doing well and my swiss chard is just about ready to harvest... still waiting on the carrots but keeping fingers crossed! I'll take some pics if anything shows up ha..
Too funny on the bringing something and not eating it?? because that is TOTALLY me... i never eat anything i bring, simply because its usually something i make all the time and i just wanna try everything else people brought... i never thot people might be checking to see if i ate what i brought hahaha....
as you both know i hate cooking at the best of times, but in the heat i confess i pretty much resort to buying a pre cooked chicken and just having what we call a "cold plate" here.. cold chicken, sides of sliced cucumber, tomato, lettuce maybe some potato salad or coleslaw or broccoli slaw.. that sort of thing.. i did make up a huge bowl of steamed veggies the other day - broccoli, cauli, baby carrots and some new little potatos from the farmers market so yesterday i actually heated up the chicken and made a packet gravy with the hot veg for a change LOL..
i also made up these things (i cant remember what they're called) but you basically use some shredded chicken, some red pepper, green onion, a little grated cheese and whatever other veg u might want (i had a bit of cucumber and a yellow pepper so i added it).. you just mix it all up and then spread a little cream cheese (very little) on a tortilla, dump some of the mix on and roll it up tight.. i make about 4-5 rolls and put in fridge for a day then slice them up... you get about 8 slices out of each and i'll often have a few slices for lunch or for a snack... sometimes i dump a little salsa on the cream cheese too... but they firm up in the fridge and when u slice them up they not only look very pretty and colorful, but they taste good too.. and its a nice cool lunch or snack .. i actually used to bring them as appys to a summer bbq..
No results yet on the MRI figure if i dont hear from her today i will call monday.. it was a holiday weekend here with everything closed monday so we will see..
Suzy good for you on the walk... its so hard in that awful weather to move at all so kudos to you! Vail cool on the new device.. i think my sister recently bought an air fryer?? she is the queen of gadgets tho lol so i havent heard if she has found it beneficial, but like yours it was to keep the kitchen cool rather than heating up the oven... fingers crossed for you !!0 -
Those tortilla things sound nice. I think I've seen them called pinwheels? It reminds me that we used to do something similar with slices of bread but roll it flat, back in the days when we didn't have tortillas. Maybe I imagined that! Good idea for the hot weather. I did make soup in the end. I've been eating more soup, but I make it in the pressure cooker so the kitchen doesn't get hot, then eat it cold.
The Ninja thing I've got is a bit more than an air fryer: it's got functions for grill, flat plate, roast, bake, air fryer and something else I think. You just press buttons and turn dials and it does it for you. Or you can use the flat plate and cook veg, omelettes, etc. It's even got a thermometer that you can stick in what you're cooking and it will make the thing turn off when it's reached the right temperature. I made a cake in it yesterday and it turned out pretty good. I really like that you can close the lid and the rest of the room doesn't get hot. I'm having fun with it!
I have just started another dance class. Modern jive this time. It's not as energetic as it sounds, thankfully!2 -
I've just checked and the other functions were reheat and dehydrate. I have tried the dehydrate to dry sliced strawberries, pear and apple. It took hours and then I ate them very quickly!0
-
Wow Vail that's some machine !!! holy cow..... from cake to dehyrated strawberries!! I treated myself to a full dinner tonight for the first time in i don't know how long.. i made a small roast beef and i actually made yorkshire pudding to go with it lol... (plus a bunch of broccoli cauli and carrots!) and i totally pigged out... it was so good tho.. i cant even remember the last time i made a RB & yorkshire pudding dinner so i enjoyed every bite - and yep even had gravy! Great thing is lots of leftovers so no cooking tomorrow.....
unless you wanna send me that machine of yours Vail that is...
0 -
I love a roast dinner, and it's really quite healthy with all the veg, I think, and it sounds like you need the red meat at the moment for iron. Now you've got me thinking - I do have a little tiny dish for the grill that I could maybe make a yorkshire pudding in. I do miss them! It just seems a big expense and bother for one person, but maybe I'll give it a go. Or maybe a veggie one with the Yorkshire and gravy and everything.
I was listening to a podcast about processed food and feeling guilty because some things have crept back in to my diet recently. I was having cravings for breakfast cereal, which is funny because I don't eat breakfast anyway, so have bought some high fibre cereal, which is now replacing oats and quinoa flakes. I was thinking of it as a relatively healthy craving, but maybe not. I also bought and ate a small frozen pizza last night. And then had pistachio ice cream. A single person Italian night! Just really craving the carbs and rubbish.
I'm 2 lb above a BMI of 25 so need to keep my eyes on the prize!0 -
It's funny you mention those weird cravings for carbs and rubbish Vail - i have been having the same the past few days; i ate chips and ice cream bars and a frozen pizza! and some cookies.. That's honestly not like me anymore.. and like you i rarely eat cereal.. i usually end up tossing it out cause it goes stale but i only buy Fibre One cereal these days ... but its been months since i had any! But i think its out of my system now lol... i haven't had the urge for any of it at least for the past 2 days now so i figure its over with now.. but like you.. i am going to be careful to get back on track with mostly veg and grains again... im not sure what triggered my wants but definitely need to get back to the NEEDS instead of wants myself!1
-
Ooooo! I love Yorkshire pudding! I never make it though. Maybe this winter I’ll make a nice roast and make some. I used to eat cereal every morning with almond milk. Now I’m on an avocado toast breakfast kick.
I logged my food for today. I’m off to the grocery store in a minute. I’ve planned out my week and am optimistic that I’ll be able to stick to it. I got on the scale this morning and was gobsmacked! (Love that word! Lol) I have seriously veered off the track and am in the weeds. I don’t know why I do this to myself. Time to reign myself in.
We call those pinwheels as well. It sounds yummy! What a great idea! My niece has that same ninja cooker. She loves hers. She lives in Texas where it’s so blasted hot right now. It has been such a help to her to not have to heat up the kitchen.
Modern jive dance sounds like so much fun, Vail! Is it in person or virtual?
Snoozie how is the pain in your leg/back?
0 -
It's funny that you have had carb cravings too, Snoozie, but not for the last couple of days. I'm wondering if the roast dinner was the answer? I have been tending not to eat a lot of meat recently, mostly veggie, and maybe I'll try upping that a bit. I noticed I'd written a "small" pizza, but it was actually a two portion pizza, so I think I am in denial! I did OK yesterday until the evening and then was just so hungry and snacked on cheese.
That's great that your niece has the same cooker. I don't know anybody else with one. Mine is a copper/bronze colour and I really like the look of it which is another plus. The halogen oven that I had was ugly.
The jive classes are in person. It's partner dancing so really need to be able to do it with somebody else. I've only been to one class so far. Just a small group, and all of us of a certain age! It was the first class, and I think more people are coming to the next one. I can't say I like the actual dance style as much as other dance I've done, but it's fun and social!1 -
I think I live in denial sometimes. Then I get on the scale, after avoiding it for weeks, and BAM…welcome to reality! Lol.
We’ve had some more moderate temperatures lately so I’ve managed to get out and walk after dinner a few more times. I’ve also started doing daily stretching and I really feel it. I logged my food five days in a row, too! Whoo hoo! I updated my ticker weight and will log my weight every Saturday. Trying to get serious about my health again. I’ve taken way too much time off.
0 -
Sounds like you are right back on track, Suzy! Well done for restarting, and fitting in the exercise and food logging.
I still weigh almost every day and the idea is so that I can't be in denial. But who am I kidding? I tend to think in stones, so instead I weigh in pounds because it doesn't mean as much to me. And I can happily weigh in and record the weight and just put it to the back of my mind. So I am with you on denial. I am finding trendweight useful when I remember to use it as it smooths out all the ups and downs and tells you what direction you are actually going in!
I went to my jive class last night, and all went well, but it is held, of all places in a big supermarket. After it finished, I thought I'd go out and get some food shopping while it was quiet. I had a couple of things to pick up, like toothpaste and some frozen veg. Anyway, I'm not used to the big supermarkets so was wandering down all the aisles and somehow came away with masses of crisps/chips! And not only that, I opened a packet as soon as I got back to the car! I should know by now that I can't have these things in the house, they're too addictive.
Good luck with your new health plan, Suzy. Did you hear any more about your MRI results, Snoozie?0 -
I’ve never heard of classes being held in a supermarket! It’s must be a big one to have room for a dance class. I have chips and cookies and ice cream in the house for my husband. I think he would revolt if I stopped buying them for his lunch and dessert. Lol. I try to buy the kinds that I don’t like though.
I usually weigh every day except when I get into my “I don't care” slumps. Of course, that’s when I put my weight back on and start eating too much of the wrong things. My body is just feeling so old lately. I have so many aches and pains and every muscle is stiff and tight. I don’t want to live like this for the last phase of my life. I want to get back out there and do some hiking and be able to chase my granddaughter!
Vail, how are the heart issues? Did that ever get resolved?
I’m hoping Snoozie is just busy volunteering and playing pickle ball and everything is good with her.
0 -
Yes, I hope so. Give us a shout if you log in, Snoozie! I hope all is OK and you are getting some answers, and that the pain is improving.
No my heart issues aren't resolved. I did get referred to a cardiologist, and the hospital phoned me but then said there weren't any appointments. The health service seems to be in crisis here! So I'm just waiting to see if they contact me again. I'm feeling OK though, definitely don't seem to be getting any worse, so not so worried.
Yes, it's strange that it's in a supermarket. They have a function room that's used by community groups. Actually a really pleasant place to do it because it the supermarket has air conditioning! It is still very hot here, and I don't think I'd have coped with an exercise type of class without it!
I'm laughing at your plan of buying your husband treats that you don't like! What a great way to not be tempted! I used to buy things for my son, but I have no excuse now he has moved out.
I wish I could say my aches and pains were better with weight loss, but sadly it's not the case. But I am a bit more active so that tends to make them worse. I'm sure it has done me good. I know what you mean about not wanting to live like that for the last phase of life - awful to think of it as the last phase, but realistically I suppose we are all around retirement age, so it is. I do see people much older than me who are fit, slim and energetic, and I would love to be like that! Being heavier gets harder as you get older, I think. It's not so much of an issue when you're young.0 -
Hi guys.. sorry i've been MIA... i really haven't had anything to share as I'm not doing anything which SUCKS... i did get my MRI results Friday; in a nutshell 2 of the back disc things are leaking the jelly which is pressing on my sciatic nerve, and there is also some stenosis which is basically a narrowing of the arteries (it can be in different places but mine is in my spine) which could account for all the calf/muscle spasms and some of the numbness/tingling/pain down my leg and into my foot etc. Physio may or may not help.. otherwise only treatment is anti inflams and if it gets worse where my mobility shows signs of being impaired (foot drop, balance, etc) then possibly surgery to fuse the discs or something.. i dunno i honestly tuned out at that part cause it was like no way in hell on the surgery.. just the thought of someone opening up my spine makes me nauseous.. so im gonna search around for a physio place near me and try to find one who specializes in spinal stuff... im not able to play pickleball at all havent for 2 months because of the pain..
honestly i was a little disheartened at first... i just thot seriously. .at 61 ... i should NOT be in this bad a shape physically... as you said suzy.. every day something hurts... and since i've stopped any physical exercise its even worse.... so i've just decided i'm done ... i'm managing to do my shifts at hte airport with the drugs, but im going to start going to pb with my group and just do the warm up stuff to start.. get moving again... if i'm gonna be in pain anyway i might as well start moving the parts. I'm also going to check the seniors centre to see if there are any low impact low level strength training classes... i dont even care anymore if it's in with the 80 year olds who can whip my *kitten*... but i have to start moving my parts i do NOT want to be like this NOW let alone in another 10 years etc... they say motion is lotion so since i already hurt.. i may not notice any from starting to move the parts. I'm just a little angry i guess and feeling sorry for myself.. which is stupid as it could have been much worse news.. but i think i just wasnt prepared to find myself having problems walking and moving around at this age!! So enuf about me..
Good grief Vail.. seriously on the no appointments?? omg that's awful.. do they put you on a waiting list at least for a consult or leave it on y ou to keep calling to see if there is one?? I'm so sorry to hear that.. i know here our health care system is being rocked to it's core; so many health workers left during covid either thru burnout or horrific work conditions and we're feeling the results now.. I will keep my fingers crossed you can get in to see someone soon! I did have to laugh at your opening the chips in the car.. because i've actually DONE that myself!! yes i have! I stil lweigh in pretty much every day as well.. i think it just keeps me a bit more in line because as suzy said.. when i don't get on it.. thats when i seem to go into a free for all eating and when i do get on again.. yikes.. so i think it may just help keep me in line.. or its just habit now... i dunno..
oh and our supermarket has a fitness centre upstairs lol.. a full gym including classes on the upper level.. you can hear the music pumping sometimes near the bread section downstairs lol. they also have a range of classrooms for cooking demos and classes too.. so its not that weird for me to hear you have one at yours.
I haven't done anything social wise in a while.. all my friends are away at their cottages for the summer and/or travelling... i haven't even had my summer patio moment of a frozen margarita yet and august is almost over!! I have a gift card for a local italian restaurant someone gave me for my birthday last year so i think on my next days off.. i'm taking myself to their patio and treating myself to that damn margarita.. and likely something extravagant pasta wise lol
0 -
Glad you got your results, Snoozie, but sounds a bit of a downer in that I was hoping it was something simply and easily cured! I love your attitude of getting on and doing things anyway, and I suppose it's still very helpful to have the results so that you know if you are able to do that without causing damage. But chronic pain is the worst, and the thought of possibly more disability and surgery - no wonder you are feeling sorry for yourself! It really isn't fair.
I know a couple of people who have had successful spinal surgery and been fine. Like you, I think I'd leave it for a last resort. It's good to know there is something that can be done if things get really bad, even if it's something drastic like that.
I hope you do eventually get your patio moment!
You've certainly made me think how lucky I am to be able to be active and mobile and it puts my aches and pains in perspective.
Yes, no appointments at all. There isn't a number to phone either, I think I just have to hope I'm on a waiting list.0 -
Thanks Vail.. i'm going to check out 2 physio places this morning before i commit to one.. i like to go in person, scope out the place and check on their therapists experience and the layout, equipment etc.. im so sorry about no apt or phone # for your appointment.. i really do hope you are on a waiting list at least!! that sucks..
The past few weeks i have switched up things a bit by having my main meal at around 1pm, before i go into the airport and just having a small sandwich or some crackers and cheese for dinner there around 7pm.. we dont have any break room there and we have to go outside the site to eat or drink and frankly with all the people in the airport these days, i go outside to do both.. at least that way i don't feel so freaked out taking off my PPE. But having a "dinner" size meal mid day seems to be working, as i'm most active of course following that meal rather than after a bigger dinner. Altho i am up a pound today but i suspect thats from the "week o' crapola fest" i indulged in catching up lol. I walked a LOT last night back and forth between terminals and walking is usually less painful for me than standing still in one place but i felt it in the muscle cramps during the night lol... i was up and down like a yo yo doing the foot stomp on the cold kitchen floors! I've been taking the magnesium supplement (which i found in gummies form yay lol) and it seems to be helping a fair bit now but i guess last nights hiking all over hell and creation caught up with me lol.
Ive pushed back the seniors centre visit to tommorow due to the physio visits today but im bound and determined to try to find something that will move my parts.
0 -
Snoozie I’m so sorry about the news. It’s disheartening but you’ve got the right attitude to try everything you can before resorting to surgery. I really hope physio will be your answer. I think you’re perfectly justified to feel a bit sorry for yourself and I know you won’t do that for long.
This makes me think of my parents and how they keep saying that they didn’t think they’d end up like this. I know we need to be realistic and accept that we are going to age in our bones and joints but I didn’t think it would happen in our early 60’s!!! Vail, your comment about your aches and pains not improving with weight loss was like a bucket of cold water over my head! I think I’ve been operating under the assumption that weight loss would solve everything. Realistically I know you’re right so we’ve really got to keep moving, even with the aches and pains.
Vail, I can’t believe there are NO appointments available and nothing has been said about a waiting list or anything! That must be a so frustrating for you!!!
I’ve been having pretty bad pain in my right hand. My trigger finger is back (so I guess the cortisone shot wore off) and my thumb is very painful, for some reason. I need to make an appointment with a hand doctor. I’ve been toying with the idea of trying a new foot doctor, too. It depresses me to think that I’ll have this foot pain for the rest of my life. It’s been over two years now. I don’t want surgery though. I can’t believe that foot surgery of any kind is a good idea.
I’m still logging all my food. Saturday and Sunday were disastrous but I’m back on it today and under my calorie goal. I just didn’t have the energy for a walk tonight in this 29c heat and 76% humidity (and that’s at 8:00pm!) Nope!
0 -
Suzy i had to google trigger thumb to see what it was .. in case it was the same thing i had where my thumb was so sore i couldnt move it in any direction without extreme pain; mine was diagnosed as De Quervain’s tenosynovitis; i read a bit about trigger thumb and it sounds like it could be similar altho yours it says can also result where you cant straighten your thumb at all ?? curled like a claw?
The only reason i'm asking is because i got a thumb brace off amazon and wore it around the house and at night for a few weeks and it helped immensely - the one i got was extremely comfortable and washable but it holds the thumb immobile so the tendons can heal.. i dunno if that would work for your condition but if you want me to send you a pic of the one i got let me know. its interchangable for both hands and i have to say it completely cured it in maybe 6 weeks or so?? i was able to start taking it off here and there as well during that time.. but for sure it sounds like physical therapy can help with your condition if you have coverage instead of surgery?? but either way omg you poor thing0 -
I'm sorry about your hand problems, Suzy. Especially on top of the existing foot problem. It feels like forever that that has been going on. I didn't imagine that it would still be with you now! I hope you get somewhere with both these things.
Well done on logging and being under your goal. I'm convinced that pain makes it more difficult to diet!0 -
i have to admit it was kind of cool to be able to pick up lunch right from the garden LOL.. and my first carrots FINALLY!! WOO HOO
1 -
Wow! That looks yummy! Way to go Farmer Snoozie!
Yep, I’ve had this foot issue for over two years now. It still feels like I’m walking on a rock in my shoe. After awhile it’s just so painful. I’ve found some shoes that I can wear with no pain called Oofos. I wish they made hiking shoes. Lol. I called a hand doctor and he has to decide if he can take me on as a new patient. Apparently he’s the hand doctor for the Braves baseball team. I didn’t know that. I just looked up who is in my network with my health insurance coverage. I’m going to call someone else.
How’s the dance class going Vail? I’m really having a hard time getting back into any kind of exercise. My stamina is at zero so it feels like an uphill battle. I need to just put on my big girl panties and do it. I really want to do some hiking this fall.
0 -
The homegrown veg looks amazing, Snoozie! Very well done!
I looked up that shoe brand and they're available here, but quite expensive. Good to know, though.
The dance class has been off but I think back on again this week.0 -
They are expensive! I’ve never been one to spend much money on shoes, except hiking shoes. Lol. I can’t imagine ever wearing heels again or dress shoes. It would be so painful! So the Oofos are the only shoes I wear now. I have a pair of slides (like sandals) and a pair of shoes. They are my saving grace.0
-
I might see if there is anywhere near me that sticks them so I could try them on. I seem to have odd shaped feet so it's difficult to get shoes to fit but I have arthritis in my toes and would love to have shoes that were more comfortable. I did wear slight heels to my son's wedding, which was the only time I've done that in years. My feet were so sore!
I had another dance class this week. I don't feel it's great exercise actually as I don't get breathless, but I'm certain it's better than sitting down which is what I'd normally be doing at that time in the evening. Like other exercise it seems to make everything hurt so I was limping around the supermarket afterwards and comfort bought a pizza and some alcohol free wine. I would not recommend the wine. Without the alcohol it's just like a fruit drink. I haven't had the pizza yet. It's spinach and mushroom to try to convince myself that it's healthier.
I've been having some work done on the house so have had lots of chocolate biscuits available for the guys doing the work. I probably should bin what's left so I'm not tempted!
I was checking the app on for my newer scales and a couple of the markers have improved slightly since I got them . Metabolic age, no idea how they calculate that, but it has gone down two years and is now only three years above my actual age. Body fat is down although still in the red zone. Still a very, very tiny downward trend with my weight. It's funny, I used to be always conscious of being the fattest person in the room/class/workplace/etc, but now sometimes I'm not!2 -
“Without the alcohol it’s just like a fruit drink.” OMG! I laughed so hard! I’ll chuckle over that one for quite awhile.
At least you’re going to the dance class. You’re absolutely right that it’s better than sitting on the couch. It sounds like the bad thing about it is that it’s in a grocery. Lol.
Yes, throw out those biscuits or give the rest to the workers! If it’s in the house then I eat it. It takes a great deal of willpower to ignore sweets that are that available.
I’m still working on getting that hand doctor appointment. I’m also going to try another foot doctor. I get to watch my granddaughter this afternoon! She’s at a very cute and very sassy age. Lol. If I try to help her with something she will tell me, “no, stop GaGa!” That’s what she calls me. It melts my heart each and every time.
1 -
Have fun with your granddaughter! I love that she is wanting to do things by herself! Just love that age, it's so much fun even though hard work. I was talking to a friend who used to childmind like me, both of us miss it! All the children I used to mind have grown up and most have their own children now! I'm so pleased that you get so much time with your granddaughter. So lovely for her too, growing up with a doting GaGa.2
-
I have to admit i laughed too about the fruit drink LOL.. vAIL THATS awesome news about your metabolic age dropping by 2 years ... yay !! and on the body fat going down too.. woo to the hoo! and there's nothing wrong with pizza now and then remember - so enjoy it (altho next time go with the real wine pls lol) Im really glad you went to the dance class and i agree it doesnt matter that it doesnt leave you breathless.. you're moving your parts and thats way better indeed than sitting on the couch like me!
Suzy fingers crossed for both the hand and foot doc appts soon. how lovely you had an afternoon with your grand daughter - sounds like she is already presenting as an independent young lady which will serve her well in the future for sure!
I dont have much to report cept im trying to get back on track with more veggies and fruit.. i ate a lot of crap lately and frankly i feel it .. very sluggish and lethargic i just dont feel like cooking AT ALL and one can only eat so many cold plates lol i did do up some small boneless pork chops last night along with carrots from my garden and some lovely green beans from the market.. followed up with an apple crisp with a scoop of ice cream !!! Yup... i bought both yesterday i have no idea why frankly... but like your biscuits if its in the house.. im gonna eat it.. and eat it all not just a serving!! i swear i've turned into some kind of binge eater ... i just go whole hog on whatever it is i cannot just have a single serving.. so its all gone now cept this last stuff and i have leftover veggies for tonite so thats gonna be my focus again for a while... especially in summer while the produce is fresh and i love it so i dont know why its so hard.... come winter its gonna be back to frozen veg so need to get off my lazy butt and cook up lots to have on hand1
