I was going to exercise yesterday but after leg day, I needed a day off. I could barely move yesterday.

I used heavy weights today than last week. I’m sure I will feel it tomorrow. I’m thinking that I am also gonna going to add 20 minutes on the treadmill. I don’t see my weight dropping as it was with insanity. But I’m sure those muscles building weigh more. I also measured myself and I have couple inches of my waist and one inch off my thighs. So I can’t complain. I do not want to lose this weight fast either. At 241 lbs, I do have a lot of fat. If I lose the weight fast then I will have extra skin. I need to lose this weight slowly so my skin can have time to adjust. I do not want surgery if I don’t have to. I am mad at myself that I let myself gain this weight. 😭 oh well live n learn. This time I am serious and will keep at it.
@melissan84 It sounds like you have both a great attitude and a great approach. And great news on the inches lost! I personally think that is more important than pounds. It is more important that I can sit and still be able to breathe in jeans or a wool work skirt than what the number on the scale says. Keep up the great work!1 -

A gain... and it looks huge but I am okay with this. I KNOW I let go for Valentines weekend. I ate out, made memories and mentally relaxed. I also know from my daily weighings that restaurant food gives me a spike and carbs (esp. pasta ) gives me a spike.
I also know that I havent put a med in my body since Nov 1. Guess what? I woke up this am with a mega headache. I used a heating pad for a half hour and am going to drown myself in water but still NO meds. I will push through today and let hubs eat any leftovers (except my white choc dipped strawberries... i will use that in my eating window and adjust accordingly) I will jump to my salads and oatmeal and reset over next couple days.
A 6 months ago, this would have put me in a spin and a 'gain for real' purge of the pantry. Mainly because I didnt understand food weight spike relationships for my body as well as I do now... even though i have much to learn, its a start. Today, my mind accepts what is really going on and allows me to move forward. Thats a win for me.
@sandkp Great job on reducing your medication, and good that you recognize the fluctuation for what it is. It took me many years to learn that and my life would've been much less stressful if I'd grasped it earlier. Better late than never I guess. I agree on giving hubby the leftovers but you're right...NEVER give up chocolate covered strawberries!!! I'd make any allowance necessary somewhere else in my day for those!1 -

Our furnace went out on 2 very cold days and had to quickly buy a new one and have it installed. In spite of this I did a fair

@Krysless2 I don't understand why we force feed. I did it last night. I really thought I wanted More of something and when I got it on my plate I was like meh but it was tasty and it is already here, I should eat it. Once I start that it doesn't stop.1 -

I’m not even gonna lie, this past month has been all over the place for me! I’ve been having a hard time getting myself back focused into losing weight again. It’s like I’m making every excuse 😭
Today, I’m breaking the cycle! I hate how I feel right now and that’s what initially why I started losing weight in the first place.

Not much weight loss this week. Not sure if it’s because I have been lifting weights and they always say muscle weighs more. I’m still loving the lifting weight part. But I think next week I’m gonna do more cardio or maybe pick up insanity here and there.
I am going on a cruise next Saturday, so I plan to really kick butt in gear so I can lose an extra 5 lbs. That’s my goal for next week. 🤣 I also plan to eat healthy on the cruise and exercise daily. But I will not be tracking my calories. We shall see. 😆

@melissan84 there are any number of reasons why you may have lost only 1/2 pound (water retention, high carb or sodium meal the day before, TOM, etc) but 1/2 pound is still a loss. Do not discount it!
While exercise helps, and is great for you to boot, know that weight loss is 99% diet. I haven't looked at your diary so don't know what it looks like but the sayings "you can't outrun a bad diet" and "abs are made in the kitchen not the gym" are around for a reason. I say this with great affection as I see how hard you've been working and don't want you to be discouraged.
I have learned a lot on this app. If you have some time scroll through the Health and Fitness and/or the Diet and Exercise forums and read a few that start with "I've been dieting and exercising and haven't lost any weight" you'll find a wealth of information in the replies. Pay special attention to any post by AnnTP77, she always has very well thought out and informative responses. I'd post a couple of links but am on my phone and can't leave this page. ☹️
Lastly, enjoy the heck out of your cruise 🛳️ !! I am leaving for New Orleans tomorrow myself. I'm not even going to try to eat healthy TBH as I'm sure one biegnet will throw me over my carb and fat count for the day. I will be walking 🚶♀️ about 10 miles a day (Fitbit challenge anyone? 😂) so I hope that will ease some of the damage. The rest I'll deal with when I get home.
