@Susanna527 - That’s a very high weight loss within one week! — no “only” necessary 👏👏👏
Keep up the good work and congratulations to all the Shape Shifters on the leader board, in the ‘green,’ and everyone continuing to show up!3 -

Feet still a bit swollen but so much better. I'm so proud of myself - I went away for the weekend and continued to make good food choices (although I didn't log my food for Saturday & Sunday). Making good food choices while away or on vacation was something I never did before, and I'm starting to see results, even if it's only a 1.5 lb weight loss
Hope everyone had a nice weekend and has a great week ahead! Congrats to all the winners and those with honorable mention - way to go!!!
@Susanna527 I had your PW as 204.5, is that correct? Nice loss this week and it sounds like you had a winning weekend all the way around...good times, good choices, good weight loss and fun with family and friends!! Sorry about the swelling...hope it goes does quickly...try to elevate when you can and keep drinking your water...GREAT JOB THIS WEEK!

@jessicakrall8 - My apologies! PW was 204.5, not 205. I looked at the wrong box. Thanks for catching that, and thank you for the kind words!1 -

Good morning Shape Shifters. Time for a catch up post. I hope everyone is doing well. Saturday was a lazy day for me. Sunday was spent cleaning a lot, washing my bedsheets and my stuffed animal. I have had her for 10 years or so; it is a cow and she makes a nice headrest in bed. One of the seams on her back ripped open in the laundry, so I spent some time sewing her up again. Hope she will hang in there for a while again. Though since I am a grown woman, I am not attached so I can live with replacing her too.
I have been working on stepping a lot, and aiming for 16k, so will see how that goes. I found out I have a wasp nest in my shed. It didn't really bother me and I was fine with leaving it, but then I got stung in the afternoon on Monday. It was my first ever sting and it was a lot more painful than I expected. Anyway, I do not want to put Tinus at risk, so I called someone to get it removed; he will be here in a few hours.
I got new catfood delivered, an adorable new water fountain and a (very smelly) broccoli toy. Sadly Tinus is limping more again, so I am going to the vet for another check-up later today. Maybe she can at least see if his nail is looking better. Because if that is the case, then it looks like something else is going on.
Happy Tuesday everyone

Good morning Shape Shifters,
@Pupowl I'm sorry that poor Tinus is still suffering.I hope the visit to the Vet will sort his problems out.We had a wasp nest in our attic a few years ago.We had to get it removed as the wasps were getting in my son's bedroom !
I'm definitely in laid back Greek mood.I'm having a rest from calorie counting just logging my breakfast each day to keep my logging sprint up to date.It was very windy yesterday so my husband & I walked to another little village. It was 1 & a half hours each way.I had a swim when we got there & then we had a lovely lunch with a great view. Will post some photos if I can!1 -

Thank you! I hope so too. I had a wasp nest at my previous house as well, near the backdoor, so that wasn't ideal either. Thankfully never got them inside the house. But they do get agressive eventually, so it's better to get them removed, though I always feel bad about it.
Have a lovely holiday! I would love to see some pictures.1 -
Just my morning ramblings. 😝
I've never been so conflicted. Lol
I love being able to breast feed my kid, especially with the formula shortage but man, it's making me gain so much weight. I normally do IF and it has been a life changer for me. I lose weight, don't gain water weight, my gallbladder issues are gone, I'm more energized, better mood and just all around "feel" better. I can't fast longer than 14 hours(per my Dr) and if I get hungry I should eat bc something about thats my body needing that intake to produce breast milk.
I don't want to stop breastfeeding because of my own selfishness but man, I am discouraged that I just can't lose weight. I even stopped eating the extra calories "needed to produce more milk". Why can't weight loss be easy? Lol3 -
@ewilhelm2487 I have asked that "why can't this be easy?" question AT least once a day for the past 40 years it seems...I'm with ya there...are you seeing the formula shortages where you are too? I felt so bad a couple of weeks ago when a lady was on the news saying she had been at a local store when they had just filled the shelves and she needed one can of formula. A woman had just filled her entire cart and emptied the shelf and REFUSED to let her have JUST ONE can. Some people are just evil. BUT, the store management should have had limits on what could be purchased per person too...it was sad...and my guess is the woman who took it all was probably going to hike the price and sell it to make money. SELFISHNESS! My heart just broke. Another couple who needed medical grade formula was in a report and their sons were facing comas if they didn't get formula. I never saw an update, but my heart just broke for them...I'm praying someone stepped in from the corporation that makes it to help them since it was on a network broadcast. So, although I can't personally understand your breastfeeding dilemna...I can understand the issue...just do what you can to follow healthy eating like you have been and concentrate on the baby right now. Baby steps, so to speak...at least your heart is in the right place!
Oh, did you perhaps want me to switch your weigh day to closer to the weekend, rather than your current Mondays? Less hectic on the weekends, perhaps? Let me know.

@pupowl So good to see little Tinus...love the fountain you bought! It's adorable. I'm sorry to hear his limping is getting worse. Wish that place they found would heal up more quickly. Let us know what you discover at the vet's...I don't blame you on getting rid of the wasps...they ARE agressive and I think their stings are worse than bees. I avoid both like the plague.
@izzyred9400 OK I'm officially jealous...what beautiful pictures!!! Thanks for sharing...enjoy yourself immensely...I know you are!

@izzyred9400
Lovely pictures! I haven't been to the beach in ages, especially not with such clear blue water.
@jessicakrall8
We just got back from the vet again. His nail looked alright, and since he didn't give any pain response, she checked higher up his leg. He didn't like it when she stretched his elbow so we decided to take some x-rays. The good news is that nothing abnornal showed up and his right and left pictures looked the same. So that basically rules out anything serious (breaks, tumors, arthritis). She suspects he tore a tendon. That can take several months to heal up. I can give him some painkillers when he is having a bad day, and then skip a while again, since giving painmeds for a long time isn't good either. So I can play with that a little. He needs rest, which mainly means no jumping from high places. Thankfully he doesn't really do that; I designed everything inside the house with small jumps because I know that is better for his body. So I guess there is nothing to do but wait and keep him somewhat comfortable. I am very relieved to know there is nothing major wrong.

I hope everyone is doing well. I’ve been reading updates and enjoying your photos but I haven’t had a chance to respond much — sorry!
This weekend was a whirlwind mix of events, some happy - and some very sad - but all hopeful in the end. I managed to do reasonably well keeping up with tracking and exercise given the circumstances.
On Friday, some friends invited us to a neighborhood party and it was nice to catch up with so many people in one night. Early the next morning, I took my husband to the airport so he could fulfill his one week per month caring for his Dad with dementia. I have extra dog care duties when my husband’s gone so I decided to walk along the Washington, D.C. Mall where many people gathered to reflect on all the lives lost through gun violence and encourage policy changes. Then, my son returned from a trip with his friends so we caught up while doing laundry together and packing for his summer internship.
On Sunday, I did some grocery shopping prepared food for another neighborhood get-together that afternoon. I also walked the dog along the Main Street and stopped to chat with some friends who were at the farmer’s market listening to the local teens and children play music.
In the early evening, my son and I attended a ‘celebration of life’ gathering at my friends’ house to share lots of hugs and tears, photos, stories, and a meal in honor of my friend’s 19 year old daughter who died recently. After dinner, I played soccer with my team while my son finished his packing, and then I left the game 15 minutes early so I could drive him to the airport. I took a quick shower and off we went. We are fortunate to live so close to the airport! Finally, I stopped by the house of the 19-year olds’ father because the couple divorced and is not in good terms but both need support through such a terrible loss. I had to wake up before 5am the next day but it took me a little while to fall asleep after all the emotion and activity of the day.
Yesterday, I had some work calls and both the viewing and funeral services to attend. After my 5pm call, I went back to the Dad’s house because he had visitors from his home country and I saw that they didn’t really have much food. I was sure everyone must have been hungry after a packed day of hosting so many grieving young people, family, and friends. So, while I took my dog for a walk and I got some roasted chickens, potatoes, bread, etc. from a local restaurant where the staff cooks homemade treats for neighborhood dogs. Everyone appreciated the food and I had another long night there.
In between, there was a difficult conversation with my friends’ son who was taking on some communication challenges that should have been managed better by the adults and encouraged him to let the funeral staff handle the logistical protocols of the speakers and seating arrangements. In the end, the services were a lovely tribute to the life well-lived of a beautiful and caring young woman who made the world a better place in her short stay.
People came together from Brazil, Brussels, Germany, London, Spain, across the USA and others participated via live streaming from all those places as well as Sweden, Norway, and maybe a couple I missed. There were poems and readings in at least three languages and everyone committed to carrying on her bright light as they returned to their day.

Hello fellow Shape Shifters! Here is my progress to date:
Walela617
Weigh In Day: Sunday
PW (Previous Weight): 217.0 (02/29/08)
PW (Previous Weight): 164.2 (5/29/22) - NEW DAY ONE! (GOAL WEIGHT: 140 or below)

CW (Current Weight): 161.6 (6/12/22) - WK02

Today I did 11,151 steps! I'm not so good about tracking daily. I record my workout sessions but I haven't started writing down total steps for the day and my tracker erases daily steps after midnight (although it does retain intended workout sessions).
Sorry I'm late recording my weight. Please correct me if WK02 is 06/12 or is that WK03? (I always confuse that.) Thanks so much! (Carole)4 -

@walela617 It's week 3 this week. If you'll go to the weigh-in chart, it's clearly labeled. Go to the Main Fat2Fit page and scroll down to where it shows the links to the June spreadsheet and click on that link, then find the Shape Shifters tab at the bottom and that takes you to our weigh in spreadsheet for the month. Hope this helps.

Step Challengers, here's the chart for Week 2...please post your updates so I can catch up the chart. Remember to post every 2-3 days please. It helps to keep us up-to-date on the stats. Thanks for your assistance!
