Happy Monday morning to everyone!!
I am super excited for the fall challenge. Especially since I got some extra motivation on Friday afternoon when my husband and I went out for a little day date. We decided we'd really love to have another baby, and sooner rather than later. We have been working really hard to pay down debts and many other things, along with working on our health, and we have had some serious baby fever for the past year. Now we both feel completely mentally and emotionally ready, so I just need to get to the point of being physically ready. I still have over 80 total pounds to lose, but at my last doctor appointment my OB said if I lose another 30 lbs to get me closer, we could start and I continue working on my weight loss goals at that point too. I'm on BC right now but we will pull off that around December to give my body a few months to regulate. Either way, we are both super excited and are just going to relax and enjoy the process instead of being super serious about it. I have full faith that anything that is meant to be, will be!
Focusing back on this week, I am going to cut my daily carbs a little more to help me get over a small gain over the past couple of weeks. I know to expect fluctuations sometimes but man, I'm ready to see a loss later this week, even if it's small! My son and I are going to continue our little walks before school a few days a week, and thankfully the weather will be nice in the mornings so we can do it!

@Tabatha_Cain : i have two budgie birds and i have had them for about five years now.
good afternoon everyone! it is a beautiful sunny day here today. there was a thunderstorm and some rain here a while ago. now the sun is out shining brightly. my daughter says hi to all! both budgie birds are doing well and say cheep, cheep! i got in my strength training workout this morning and i enjoyed it. i got in a walk earlier this afternoon and i feel great! i will be doing some dancing later on after supper. have a great day, everyone! take care and stay safe.0 -
Hi all happy Monday, right now it is 87 out, hoping it will cool off some more.
@cormierannie we have a Caique name Candy, she is 12 years old and we an African gray, Robbie who is 20 years old. He talks up a storm. So does Candy at times. They along with Kayla our king Charles spaniel run our lives (LOL).
I watch Queen Elizabeth's funeral, I saw her crowned when I was a little girl, it was on TV. She was quite a leader.

Good Evening Everyone!
Congrats to those with a new job starting soon! Thoughts, prayers and hugs for those who need it.
The bike ride was on Sunday and went really well for the most part.
The new job starts on Wednesday afternoon.
Today was a pretty good day overall. A storm hit just as I was getting up. So that threw my morning off. Got all of today's workouts done. But didn't have the energy to make up what I missed yesterday. Oh well. I am still happy with how I did this week exercise wise. Food choices and amounts were better this week as well as water. I expect the scale to show the change tomorrow. But if not oh well it will in time. By do I wish I had the energy and motivation I had almost 4 years ago when I started this journey.1 -

@cosmiccurves ,,, There's certainly fun in trying to have a little one!! Aww your son is so cute and spirited no doubt he'll love being a big brother. My GD is expecting, it's already a high risk pregnancy, my heart is both rejoicing and very sad, hopefully the little one is a fighter. WISHING you the best!! Remember you do NOT need to quit the 5% and it could easily help you once you are pregnant to have a healthy baby, we do have a category for those are pregnant ,, just let both your CL and WL (Baggage handler) know. We'll all love to see how you are doing.

@Cseguin2 ,, Glad the bike ride was good!! Sure sounds neat!! Did I tell you why I stopped biking? Nothing to do with fear etc, but I am so SLOW NOW that an OLD LADY using a WALKER passed me!! HUH!!?? LOL I had a 30 plus head wind and I am not nearly as strong enough, so yeah. That was that, ,, still its an expensive story that always gets quite a laugh!! TO reset your motivation have you gone back to the basics of why you want to lose now? I do this every now and then it is enough to push me forward.2 -

Good Morning Airport Friends:
I hope you are all having a good morning. It is weird not going into work. Tomorrow I will be going into work and I hope it will be a good day. I want to learn as much as I can in the first day that I can. I am working on getting my license and I am ahead by a couple of days. I have to get some more done tonight so I can get ahead even more. Tonight I am probably not going to have time to get any done though. I have a meeting tonight from 6:30 until probably 8:30 and then Wednesday night I have to type up the notes from the meeting and get them out to everyone.
@cosmiccurves - That is so great that you are going to be trying for another baby. I hope and wish you great success in that. I need to cut back on the carbs myself. I am getting a little wild with them at times.
@cormierannie - That is great. I love budgie birds. My son wanted to get one but I said no on account we have 3 cats that I am sure would try to kill the bird. It would not be fair to bring the bird home to danger.
@Kurtize - It is so sad that the Queen is gone. I hoped she would like until at least 100
@CSEGUIN2 - Glad the bike ride went well. I am wanting to get back into riding. I need to strengthen my knees. They hurt all the time now. Nothing seems to work. I should probably start taking my Aleve again. That helped the last time.
@Dianedoessmiles1 - Thank you. I am hoping I can too. I am sure I can get it done quickly. I just have to be able to pass the test.

I'm just going through the last hoops of buying my new home. I don't move in until October 24 to give the sellers time to move into their new place, too. I'm in no hurry, though. Now I need to get my current home sold! Anyone interested in a 2-bedroom condo in Hawaii?4

@Bookienj,, Oh I have NO DOUBT your GKs LOVE YOU TO PIECES and MORE!! I wish families lived closer together as it used to be, that's not to be. My GD is an hour from here. Thankfully since I live near Portland and its the largest city in Maine, we can both get there. LOL for me it's super easy. Well more often than not she'll come over here to save me the "trip." I am there a lot as it is. Was there today to have my glasses tightened. The new little GG is now at a high risk, Oh we are so hopeful that s/he will make it. If it's as stubborn as we are, it'll make it. Certainly HOPE SO!! And of course that no matter what my GD will be safe too.

@Patti241,, have you been able to shut off the AC? I am waiting for those who remove ours (most of us have window units) until next May. WOOHOO ON THAT!! LOL I doubt I'll use mine again in a hurry. Right now at 6 PM it's 47 and I am LOVING IT!!
@Lavalily ,, Oh, I AM SURE your home will go FAST!! WTG on moving by the 24th of October. That'll give you just over a month. Are the 2 places near enough? Wishing you the BEST!! It'll be nice to be settled down again without all of the stress of selling, moving, resettling though often being in a new place though exciting, also takes a bit of time. Well it does for me "to get a real feel" of where I want stuff and why. Normally about 2 years later I do the "real decorating etc. of the place' once I have the feeling of it. During the pandemic I redid it ALL!! That was fun though. PURE FUN!! Thanks to online purchases we can get whatever we wish!!2 -
Hi all. Has the invitations gone out yet?
Saw the Dr today. He isn't sure exactly what's wrong but is sending me for MRI, didn't like what he saw on xray. Thinks I may have to see a back Dr, possible pinched nerve.

@Kurtize, I am glad the doctor told you he was not sure rather then making something up - I hope you get into the back doctor quickly to resolve the issue. My leg issue is a nerve issue too but not pinched.. but still originates in the back... here's to you getting better, but in the meantime there should be some good chair exercises you can do to help with fitness minutes, I believe @Dianedoessmiles1 knows a few of them.
@lavalily I hope your house sells and you move with out issue.
@Tabatha_Cain hope the meetings go well and the typing the meeting minutes as well.
@cosmiccurves that would be a great incentive to loose a few more lbs - all in due time eh !!

@LindieMaeP the cooler temps in the mornings are so nice, a little reminder that we are almost to fall, one more day!! just hope the weather follows suit for sure! We have a hot day today and tomorrow, then it drops down into the high 70s and low 80s with 50s in the mornings. Sounds like a dream now!
I am training on a new position at work. It actually intersects with my current position, doesn't come with a raise, but will be a much needed mental break to have interpersed with my other position. Plus, taking on new opportunities should hopefully mean a raise will follow within the next 6 months. I always get a little nervous during this part of training but know it will go well! Got up almost all of our decorations including the floating candles, and I will post pictures tomorrow!

I hope you are having a good morning. Today is my first morning at the new job. I just have to figure out where to go. I have to find my office. I am not sure if I should park in back or in front. We will figure out today. I am nervous. Really Nervous. My boyfriend started training for his new position within the same company yesterday. So today is a different kind of day for him too. His new work schedule starts today.
@lavalily - Good luck on selling your home. I hope you are able to get it sold in time.
@Dianedoessmiles1 - Some days I don't feel highly motivated. I feel kinda lazy. Like yesterday. I went to see my daughter instead of do my training.
@Kurtize - Hope they figure out things for you. Sorry you are having issues with your back.
@LindieMaeP - The meeting went longer than expected and I will have to do the meeting minutes tonight. Get them typed up and emailed out to the group.
@cosmiccurves - Way to go on the new job position. It will eventually lead to more pay and that is the point. Right now you are doing the training and the learning. Same as me.

It reminds me of a work award I received because I was "just do it" and it was a NIke Cap and I still have it today, although it is starting to unravel I refuse to give it up at this time. It was one of the best awards I could have gotten as it reminded me every time I put it on - "just do it" !! smiling !!

Good Evening Everyone!
Quick check-in as it is past my bedtime and still have lots to do before I can go to bed. Skimmed through all the posts. All workouts were completed. My first day of work went great! I have thought about going back to the basics and how I started but some of it doesn't fit anymore. I am slowly discovering my new why's to help inspire me.2 -

@Kurtize , the invites will be out between Weds, likely Thurs perhaps for some, By Friday hopefully for others (Those waiting on theirs) you are likely now on your team? I sure hope they can figure out the pain for you! Depending on what the nerve is,, there are many targeted Youtube video (sit down my go to when it's a newer injury/condition I'm treating before I do stand up ones. If they offer PT I now make SURE the PT person has seen my xrays!! I've had a few who did not, that put me into worse pain.
@Lindiemaep ,, WOOHOO on the weather getting easier to move around in!! Here it's doing the same, but not enough for me to grab a coat,, YET!! How much snow does your area get a year (average) we are 61 I think. IT USED TO BE MORE! Tues night I tied in on ZOOM. I kept my camera off some, it was just to much. I 'm TRYING to feel better. Whatever this virus is its not being nice. Hopefully tomorrow I'll know if it is, or rather was covid or if it's just a weirdo virus. I am so hoping for the weirdo virus. i do not want to worry if it was covid (I am not any longer contagious) any long term damage as many of my younger friends have now.
@cosmiccurves ,,, OF COURSE!! ENJOY the training. I did a job with the city of Portland that they combined my job with a harder one (THAT I NEVER WANTED!) and did not give me a raise. Once I trained, I went in to talk to my supervisor, explained to her what ways it was now different, how much more it was on me, how combining 2 jobs into one just meant some things could not be done efficiently, I wanted a raise too. I was AMAZED (she was a very strict boss, uncaring at times) but she agreed not only did I deserve a raise, but also an assistance!! That was UNHEARD of by her. But, I was also thanking her for the added responsibilities and I was quite good at doing them. The clients LOVED me. I was fair and kind to everyone who came in. It was in Social Services. A "drunk" has gone through often some unreal hardships, very often has a severe untreated mental illness (no one grows up saying "I want to be a drunk or druggie). With the right direction I always hoped they get help.
@Tabatha_Cain ,, How did the first day go? Did you find out where to park? It'll get better and easier as you settle in. Do you like the new office? Can you do any decorating? OH THE MOST IMPORTANT part, if you are coffee surgery is it better now? GRIN!! HEY PRIORITIES!!

@Patti241 ,, I was giggling last night when I turned on the heat, then I decided I wanted to be warm enough to not shiver all night, so I kept it on. I DO WORRY about those who can't pay for heat this year. As above I used to work for Social Services, and I know that what last year would fill someone tank for a month and a half this year will not even fill a tank but maybe 3/4 of the way. AND many more are requesting assistance this year. PLEASE ALL REACH OUT especially to your elderly neighbors (OR ALL of them if there's a slight chance) I just tell them "I know many of our friends/relatives may have to go cold this year. If you talk to any here's the number (previously written down) so they can call for an appointment please let them know it can be done through the mail and by phone." so no one is embarrassed to think we may realize they could be struggling.
@Bookienj,, TY TY TY I sure hope S/HE is super stubborn (My GD is, and well for those of us who aren't young remember hearing "I HOPE YOU HAVE A CHILD JUST LIKE YOU!" Guess my Mom thought was in insult,,, I'd just go upstairs and laugh and laughed, I wanted that too!) .

I hope you are all doing well. My first day at my job went great. It was all training videos and getting to know the boss and co workers. I have the front desk in the office so I greet people as they come in. I am a glorified receptionist who also sells policies in my spare time. So not a big concentration on selling policies. That is good. That is what I want though. I don't want to sell sell sell. Yes it would be great but I am not a huge seller.
@LindieMaeP - I did. It was great. I was even there before the boss. He got stuck in traffic.
@Kurtize - My boyfriend had a great day also. We were both so nervous. He just moved to a different location but stayed with the same company. I changed companies completely.
@Dianedoessmiles1 - My first day went great. I did find parking and the office. I can do some decorating. Which I plan to do. Yes he has a coffee pot. Which is great. He also has a water cooler for some fresh water. Which I drink a lot of.

@cosmiccurves , no, not all teams have received their invitations. I know Rain Dancers CL isn't able to sent out their invitations until this afternoon at the earliest. I've not heard anything about RHCS, but some of the leaders who send invites work full time, and today is the goal to have them sent by, or tomorrow for sure. Some of us who sent them out early were able to do so because we're home all day and not on a work schedule. Keep checking.
For others wondering about your team, I know Mission Slimpossible, PS4L and Thinner Winners have all been sent as I've seen messages about them. If you've not received yours, keep checking as most should be sent today.4 -
