    Friday, April 7th

    Logged and Under: Yes
Exercise: Yes, went for a walk with my husband and then did some raking up of leaves that had been under the snow and in flower beds.
    Water: 10 cups
    Steps: 16,746

I am sore this morning, but I knew I would be the second I picked up that rake! Today we are going to my in-laws' for Easter dinner. They are having it catered so I do not have to prepare any food to take, which is nice. We are bringing a selection of wines and coolers from our booze wagon instead :) My strategy is to eat very little before we go, and then have a small serving of only the best offerings. (I have no idea what is on the menu!) We shall see if this pans out!

@therealbluenote Did you ever make smores with peeps? I recommend it. Especially peppermint peeps and dark chocolate. :) You just have to be VERY careful when toasting them because they are very flammable. Ask me how I know :D

    Weigh-in: Wednesday, April 5 Week 1
    PW: 160.6
    CW: 159.4

This morning, I reached my goal weight of 160 that my doctor set. It has taken me a very long time (8 1/2 years) to very slowly but steadily losing an average of .2 lbs. I feel like the length of time it has taken me has also changed my mindset. I never deprive myself of anything but I keep track of my food every day and budget my calories. I plan to lose get down to about 158 so that I maintain under my goal weight. I have another doctor check up with labs in June to see if that 158 is a healthy weight for me. I would like to continue in the group just to be able to report my weekly weight.

Fabulous work! You give me hope this can be done! 🤗👏🏻🤗❤️

    Happy Easter!

Yesterday went well. I had very little to eat before going to my in-laws (my usual yogurt and berries for breakfast and then a piece of leftover fish from Friday). She did have jellybeans and chocolate Easter eggs and fudge on the table, but I didn't have any. The eggs were of the cheap chocolate variety, so not even a little tempted. The jelly beans didn't seem special enough to sample, and the fudge looked too sweet. (Monday night's episode involved pecan pie, so I can't go there right now, thank goodness). There were four main dishes and two salads; I had a spoonful of each and my plate was full. I did not go back for seconds. I did not have any cheese or pickles. For dessert I chose a really small slice of warm apple pie and a tiny gluten free brownie with lost of chocolate icing. Then I realized I was still hungry, so I had another small piece of pie and another tiny brownie. I didn't even have any of the alcohol I brought! We got home in time to see the last 8 rocks of the 10th end of the Canada/Switzerland curling match at the world championships. (Canada won!!!) I went to bed around 11, but couldn't fall asleep. My mind was whirring a bit (as it usually does after a visit with family) and I was hungry!! So, I got up and had some leftover rice from Friday and went back to bed around midnight. The scale was the same this morning as yesterday morning :)

@HASWLRS great day Lisa! Jelly beans only tempt me if they are spiced, but then I can eat the whole bag. 🙃

    Sunday 8 April
    Track: yes
    Under: yes
    Exercise: yes

Quiet day just me and hubby. Was also busy packing for a work trip today through Friday. That's going to be a challenge, eating out 3 meals every day. 😕. Add flying today and Friday and sitting in a conference room in between and it's a recipe for disaster. 😔

It also means I'll be quiet. If you knew me in person you'd laugh 😂 I am NEVER quiet. Polish and German heritage. 😁 Anywho, my work computer has blocked MFP and there's only so much I am capable of doing in my phone.

There isn't anything for April yet, but I will keep looking. Keep up the great work everyone!!

Thanks, @Tomsgal1985 ! As far as the curling goes, unfortunately, Canada lost in the gold medal match. We were not at our best, and Scotland certainly was. We lost 9 - 3 !!

A great Sunday, @Daffygirl88 ! I do not enjoy doing MFP things on my phone, either, so if you are quiet, we get it. Have the best work trip you can possibly have.

@plummerbecky1 Way to start the "weight coming back down" process!

Sunday was just me and my hubby as well.

    Logged and Under: Yes
Exercise: We went for a 38 minute walk.
    Steps: 11,787

    Monday the 10th

Today starts the "spring" season with my husband not getting home until past 8 pm. I felt more tired and hungry than normal so I ended up getting into foods I shouldn't have. I did go for a walk, and got in 9,168 steps, but other than that it was not a stellar day.

So I goes to the gym and when I get back to my room my key won't work. 🤔 Night watchman can't figure it out, calling the manager. My door doesn't seem to be closed all the way but we can't pull it closed, like something is in the way. 😔 I could've done without this... just hope I can get back in and shower etc. In time to leave for my meeting. Happy hump day!

Well, your post sounded more upbeat than mine might have in the same situation! I hope you got back into your room very soon after that.
