This week has gone by so fast. My weight is still up and I am not sure why I am holding onto the water weight.

I have no excuse for my gain this past week. However, I will work hard to get back on track for an even bigger comeback.4 -

I have a lot of reading to do to get caught up on myfitnesspal, but I am back. I am three days late as it is Thursday, not Monday, but better late than never, as they say. I was overwhelmed with what I had to do to get the house ready for Father's Day (10 people for a barbecue) and when I am overwhelmed at home I eat. It's not what I need to do but I need to be doing something, so I eat. This very effective avoidance technique is EXACTLY the reason I am in this overweight, excuse me, Obese, boat! Going to a wedding shower on Saturday and getting out of my routine was a small part of it, and also my knee still being really sore, but it was predominantly my feeling of mental overload that did me in. And once started down that road it is very, very difficult to make a u-turn. And just for context, it was completely my idea to host this gathering. My dad is 87 and in a retirement home for just over a year. Mom passed away in November and Dad is so bored. He still drives, but he has nowhere to go. I needed to get him out of there and when my sister wasn't considering hosting something at her house, but visiting him instead, I took the bull by the horns.

I have just finished reading through all of the posts that I missed. A lot of very good weigh-ins and step totals! For every one of us struggling, there is someone succeeding, to show us the way and to be our inspiration! Thank you!0

No worries. We all have ups and downs with our weight. When we know what caused the gain it gives us somewhere to start making changes.lindamtuck2018 wrote: »

It’s amazing how our mind turns certain situations into “ let’s eat”. This week my back has been particularly bad and this in turn made me depressed. Of course, I wanted to eat. I think part of the process of weight loss is figuring out what triggers us to overeat and how to change it.

Fantastic loss! Don’t look at how far you have to go but how far you have come.

Finally shed the water weight but not much of a loss. A few days ago I was sitting at 183.2. It has not been the greatest period of eating. I ate out too much and as I was feeling low all week it made me want to eat. My average calories are way higher than normal. I have just over a week before we go to Newfoundland. I was hoping to be at 175 but now I will be happy with getting to 85 pounds lost (.8 pounds away).
Have a super Friday!4 -
